Closed. The sign says open until 5:30pm. I arrived at 4 pm with family from Prince George, BC. Two other customer s showed up and left. So disappointed. It would have nice to put paper on the inside of the glass door stating, "Sorry for the inconvenience. We are closed." This place my family loves their meats, and beef jerky. <3

A fellow named Gerald helped us out today. He was super friendly and informative. We bought steak, garlic sausage, farmer sausage, ground beef and 2 types of pepperoni. Everything we've tried before has beef high quality and delicious. There is a bit of a wait to get in but it's worth it. We'll be back again.

Quality of the sausage has been very hit and miss over the years. Rempels farmer sausage was a staple of my diet growing up, Sunday lunch at Opa and Omas was something I really looked forward to. When I was a kid it was always perfect, just a bit flaky and not impossible to peel. And the taste, of course, which has always been amazing. But over the last decade as they've become much busier their sausage quality has gone downhill. We moved to PG a while back and have been missing our old farmers sausage, recently we were down in the mainland and had a chance to stock up on what turned out to be the worst batch I've had yet and the reason I finally am writing this review. It's just dense, rubbery mush, you can get better sausage off a shelf for half the price. I don't need to drive 8 hours for it either. I'm sure they don't read reviews, they don't even have an email address, but they should be ashamed. My family has always bought their sausage because it was the best, not because it was just sausage, you can get that anywhere. But it's not the best anymore.

Best farmer sausage, jerky, pepperoni sticks, and bacon in the Valley. Good selection of locally made frozen food too. Friendly staff as well, except for one woman, she was pretty sour. I felt like she was rolling her eyes at me when she turned around. Maybe she wanted me to give her my list all at once? Maybe it was a bad day? It was a little off-putting.

Drove 1.5 hours to pick up their jerky to bring back to Ontario but they didn’t mention on the phone there was a limit (1 pound) to how much we could buy. Still was under their limit (1/2 pound), but they refused to sell me anymore. The place was also closing soon and they had a good amount left. Super bummed, but the jerky is good.

First time there....first impression. Very friendly welcome from staff....the place is very very clean, the products look awesome....the atmosphere is quite professional. Talked with the butchers carving up some cuts right in front of me. Very informative and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to come and buy again...maybe pricey but....top quality meats....you get what you pay for in actuality!

Sausages are incredible and bacon is perfect. I enjoy coming here when I'm in the neighborhood. Friendly staff and great selection of meats. Standard order is a couple of rings of farmer and garlic sausage, bacon and the meat pies. Just recently ordered some pork chops and well you guessed fantastic. A must try shop but remember closed Sundays and Mondays.

Disappointing service - While Rempel's definitely has the best beef jerky I've ever tasted, we did encounter poor service. We were traveling with my husband's son who does not live with us. I purchased the limit of $30 jerky for my children. When my husband tried to purchase some for his son we were asked if we were together. My husband said "sort of" and would have explained but we were shut down rather aggressively by the young lady at the counter whose tone implied that we were trying to get away with something. We felt rather embarrassed and left. To the young lady at the counter: just because we arrive in one vehicle does not mean we are from the same household. Family structures are not black and white and not everyone is trying to break your rules. Maybe let people explain before you judge them.

I have been shopping at Rempels for 30+ years. Started with my husband supplying a commercial fishing vessel with meat for the season. They will only sell the highest quality meats. We had asked for liver and were told that if what they got in didn't meet their standards, they wouldn't be able to sell it to us. People, like myself who have moved away, still go back regularly to get the product that is sold here. There is nowhere comparable. My grandkids (oldest of whom is 19) have been raised on Rempels garlic sausage and will eat no other sausage. Rempels will go out of their way to accommodate your requests, if given appropriate time, depending on the request. If you go around a a national holiday, ie Christmas, I would suggest that you go early (as in a week or so before or call them to arrange pickup) as it gets VERY busy, they are THAT good.

Was there today and while we come here often, the meat is wonderful, the service today was aweful.but The Lady serving us was horrible. She made us feels so small as customers and worked at a snails pace as I guess she thought she could. I really hope the owners see the customer service she provides and how she makes people feel because it will eventually cost them some business????

I had been going here regularly. Waited for ages in the line on a Saturday. A lady took my order and I was ready to pay. Another lady was using the till and the timer went to change staff she passed me on to another lady who was writing down a large preorder for another customer. I waited for about 20 minutes while trying to get the attention of any employee so I could pay and leave. I should have just left without my meat. Not been back since. Unfortunate as the quality of the meat is excellent.
