Wow!! That's all I can say! Not what you'd expect from a small town butcher. Great atmosphere, amazing service, fantastic selection and all with a reasonable price! Skip the grocery store and hit this place up, you will not be disappointed! I picked up some Valley Broils, a couple ribeye steaks (cut to my thinkness), and some awesome Greek sausages!! Dinner was great!!

Go here! So impressed with the service and quality. All local and Canadian and their own spices. I even happened to mention I would be done my shopping if only I had some baking potatoes. The very friendly staff person went in the back, wrapped potatoes she had been going to use with foil and voila! Complete steak dinner. This is the kind of butcher of days gone by but with a modern, local, sustainable approach.

I was recently invited to a friend’s place for a steak dinner. After only a few bites, I couldn’t resist asking where the steak came from. It came from Valley Custom Cutting. It was honestly the best steak I have ever had (and I have had amazing steaks in high end steakhouses). Since then I have tried some of their other products (Valley Broils, Stuffed Chicken Breast) and was extremely pleased with all of them. The service is friendly and very accommodating. I live in Aylmer Quebec over an hour away from Valley Custom Cutting and it is well worth every minute of the drive.

A Huge thanks to Dan and his staff for their excellent work cutting up my deer. I brought in a small buck early deer hunt and Dan recorded exactly what I wanted for cuts, sausages and ground. His prices are good and I could not believe the AMOUNT of venison I picked up just a few days later! I have had meat cut and wrapped at other places, but here I know they used every bit of meat they could get from my deer. All wrapped and labelled, no hassle for dinners and when BBQ season gets here. The folks at Valley Meats really go the extra mile, provide quality product and you know you are getting your value here. Thanks!

Ive been shopping here since they opened and i have to say im blown away every time i go in. staff are above and beyond exceptional, very well educated in thier craft, and will make your meat dreams come true. The locally sourced and carefully selected cuts of beef are by far the best ive ever seen and ive seen ALOT. Some of the upper scale cuts ive bought in the past looked damn near wagyu quality marbling. place is filled with top quality locally sourced goodies like the amazing perogies (highly recomend) the carp custom creamery ice cream is to die for, and dans peperonni sticks he makes himself are just mouth watering, just to name a few! 5 stars is not enough for this amazing establishment!

For years, I've followed the same routine when coming out to the Smiths Falls area to visit family - fly into Ottawa, grab some groceries and meat for the week in the city, and head out to the lake for a few days of relaxing and good eating. Now that I've found Valley Custom Cutting, that routine's going to go straight out the window. Now, Dan's my man and I'm going to get all our meat from him. I had the good fortune to stumble upon Valley Custom Cutting yesterday as I was driving into town to grab some last minute stuff for dinner and I was absolutely blown away by the quality of their operation. I'm a trained artisanal butcher so I know a thing or two about what goes into running a good shop, and Valley Custom Cutting impressed me on every level. The place is clean as a whistle, their cases were presented beautifully, the meats looked fresh, juicy, and delicious, there was a great selection of pre-made chops and roasts in the reach-in freezer, and, most importantly, the sense pride and joy that Dan, the owner, carried himself with made my visit to VCC an absolute delight. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to the Big Rideau Valley so i can put in a custom order with Dan. If you live in the area and haven't yet made a trip to Valley Custom Cutting, you're missing out. Do yourself a favor and go pay them a visit! You won't regret it.

Hello meat coma! Ever since this place opened its' doors, it's been a welcome addition to the town. Between the freezer orders and the fresh meat ready to cook, you definitely cannot go wrong with stopping here when your steak cravings kick in. They've always been friendly, helpful, and quick when doing either a walk in or a pickup of a freezer order.
