I had never shopped at the Old Fasioned Butcher because I always just assumed the prices would be really high. Stopped by on a whim today, and now I'm kicking myself for not visiting sooner! High quality meats at reasonable prices, super friendly staff... and I even picked up a couple of fresh bones for my dog. He's so delighted! I will definitely be a returning customer from now on!

I love this place. Great prices, great staff, great products. The merkeley bbq pit ham they sell is priced to move but it is so good and you'll crave it after you've had some. I love their bacon stuffed burgers as well, which you can apparently get year round except sometimes they're frozen, but still just as amazing, we'd know. They also have a baked potato salad which I've had something similar to and then the store I used to buy it at stopped carrying it and I've looked ever since for something like it. I'm so happy I found it here. There's other deli things that I'm sure are great, and other than that it's just an amazing butcher shop with great prices that I hope stays around forever.

I was disappointed with the prices on meats. The price for 80/20 ground beef in 5 lbs packs is nowhere near what I paid today at Walmart for 93/7 ground beef in the same amount of weight. I'm sorry in my opinion if your trying to save money shop around.

I decided to give this place a shot as I am becoming more aware of the type of food my family eats. I have to say this place is by far bar none the best here in town. Instead of spending $200 a week on groceries we go here with exactly $300 and we buy enough beef chicken and pork to last well over a month. They take pride in their quality of cuts and the service is just like it used to be in the good ol days. By far my favorite place to go for my family. 5-5 easily!

This is a family owned and operated business and they are devoted to provide the best product possible. Their prices are in line with with grocery stores, in many cases lower and they will cut things anyway you want. Need 3 slices of cheese, they will do that. They will also give you cooking instructions, suggestions and advice on their products. Great, friendly and the best go to meat shop in Evansville!

Found this gem through a web search. I called for information on product and was impressed with the friendly professionalism I received on the phone. A small store with an abundance of choices. Upon walking in the cleanliness is apparent and welcome. Although they were super busy, every staff member was friendly, each took a moment to acknowledge you with at least a smile! I highly recommend this establishment and commend the owners and those that work for them!

Try the Boss Hawgs smoked turkey and ham they were amazing hands down the best products I have tried. They make this brand themselves. Highly recommend them especially for your holiday needs but good on a daily basis as well.
