It's not very big in size but they have everything you need. The filet's are full of great flavor that you can cut with a fork. The pineapple brown sugar brauts are amazing and the prices are some of the best I've seen. After you have visited a couple times grab a list and call ahead, they'll have it ready and waiting for pickup so you're in and out fast.

I bought 6 lb of oxtail which I used to make Jamaican oxtail stew. The butcher freshly cut them for me.These are the best tasting I have have ever had. My dish turned out seriously tender and had the best beefy flavor. Way better than a run of the mill grocery store. Love ???? this place!

Oakville Butcher Block is a great, if small, full service butcher shop. The store can get very crowded, but this is because they have a fantastic selection of meats. As a full service store, if you don't see the cut you need, they can make it happen. The steaks and brats are great, and I don't know of anywhere better nearby for large roasts. Definitely worth the trip.

They have a clean shop, meat products such as beef, pork, fish, chicken and more. They also have local farmers with fresh vegetables. They've got deals that also pop up once in a while. Shop is always full when I go. I've always enjoyed the tastes due to the high quality.

Great prices and great customer service. They stay busy so calling your order in ahead of time is the way to go. They will rub and season for you so it can go straight to the grill. I highly recommend!

I cannot imagine buying meat anywhere else. The Brats are incredible and the pork steaks and other steaks we have bought have been well worth the buy as well. Unless you shop at a discount deli like walmart, you will not find better quality for as low of a price and even then you might get a better price, but not the quality. Oakville Butcher Block is the place for quality and price hands down.

I gave these guys a try yesterday for the first time, and wasn't disappointed. Grabbed an 8oz choice filet and pan-fried butter-basted in a cast iron skillet with salt and pepper. The result - tied for first with the best steak I've ever eaten. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Good shopping experience. This is much better than the grocery store as everything is fresh and no extra preservatives. Great selection of bratwurst and super friendly and helpful staff. It is small but you don't need a lot of room I guess. Looking forward to cooking up everything this weekend. If you join their text club for coupons you get 3 free brats.

Absolutely THE best place in St. Louis to buy your meat. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They cut your steaks fresh to order, they grind your ground beef fresh to order the way you like it and offer all types of fresh meats, roasts, chicken and much more. I buy all of my meat here and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Stopped in at 11:00 when they opened to pick up a couple steaks for Father’s Day. I was looking for a porterhouse and a filet....the lady asked the butcher if they were cutting powerhouses today and was told no, and they were out of regular filets, but had a premium cut for 39.99 a lb. really disappointed in the lack of caring and effort they showed today. Trying to help the smaller shops in my community, but this was the second bad experience

Great price on grass fed, never frozen beef/ pork. But their items in the refrigerator have preservatives. The store clerk will tell you there are no preservatives. But, each item has a sticker price covering the nutrition facts and ingredients which clearly state sodium nitrates. I think that is deceptive for a store that prides itself on fresh food.

I get in these times locking the doors and not letting people in, but if you are going to have someone answer your phone who has zero clue about meat maybe rethink your process. You had a chance to win someone over who spends a lot on meat for smoking meat from another market, but I can assure you I will never return and this is incredibly poor taste that will spread to others. How can a meat market employee someone who takes phone orders and be sole responsible for the info given but not understand anything about meat?
