Stopped by on Wednesday for the first time after recommendations from friends. Super friendly staff and clean shop! Their offerings were incredible! We picked up 2 AAA NY steaks on special and the owner was kind enough to give me a sample of sausages Holy guacamole — THAT IS service and you’ve made us customers for life. We BBQ’d those anniversary steaks and almost sat in silence eating because they were so delicious. You truly get what you pay for! Thank you for a great experience. Two visits for me so far. Both were excellent experiences. Friendly staff. The meat purchased was of high quality and was still usable a whole week later (1/2 a pork shoulder slowly used by one person) Each time I've also treated myself to a hot beef patty. Tastee brand! They are also available to purchase by the box from the freezer.

Happy Mango is an unparalleled butcher experience because of the care, attention to detail and passion of the family operators. Every time you walk into a butcher, you're hit with the smell of raw meat (and often the buzzing of a fly or two - yech!); unpleasant right? What does Happy Mango do about this? They hit you with the aroma of the wide selection of fine spices they have in stock instead. They also carefully curated products that you dont normally get at big name grocers that are top quality including local, Ontario made products; from chips and candy to spreads and marinades. Lastly, the staff are always working hard while being attentive, kind and knowledgeable. Now lets talk about the meat. I am completely ruined for frozen burger patties and burger chains now. Their burger patties are excellently prepared and are just the most tender and juicy I've had anywhere. Just cant buy enough during summer. Oh, their steaks? Good lord. From staples like New York steaks to Prime AAA cuts, they are, again, the most tender and wonderfully marbelled steaks I've ever head from a butcher (be sure to salt the day before cooking for optimal results). Yeah, I dont want to forget this key point: you would expect to pay an arm and a leg for the quality you get here but no. Not only do they have regular specials you can access from their instagram page @happymangonews, but even if you're not getting the deal of the week, prices are the same and sometimes cheaper than the competition! - I swear this is not a paid endorsement, I just appreciate excellence. Here's the bottom line: when a place like this comes along, it sets the standard that ruins you for other options. We're grateful that the owners have the vision, courage and work ethic to produce the dinner experiences we are now privileged to have. Thank you Happy Mango!! P.S. sorry but the food never lasts long enough for me to take pictures. It's like I get hypnotized and forget every time!

Great Staff, quick and friendly service I normally just get the beef patties (best I've found in Barrie) but today my wife and I decided to try the Curry Chicken over Rice and Potatoes & 1 Roti on the side and OMG it was Absolutely AMAZING we split the order and are stuffed wishing we could go back for seconds!! ???? I cannot say enough good things about the Happy Mango :-) This is the only place we buy all our meat now ...we even skip the farmers market and local farms now ...it's that good! The owners are a delight ...whatever you need just ask. We had a little party last weekend and they made us up a big batch of piri piri & jerk chicken. I wanted to make beef jerky last month and they even cut up the sirloin into all the small pieces I needed.

Happy Mango has been our butcher of choice for years. It is our first choice for meat. I am disappointed that the last three times I have visited Happy Mango, the staff are not following our municipalities Covid19 rules. Each visit the employees wore their masks under their nose and mouth. The other day the cashier checked multiple customers out and served from the hot table, all while her mask rested on her chin. The kind gentleman working behind the butcher counter was prepping food and touching food, without wearing a mask. I love this place but will not continue to be a customer unless they begin to follow Covid19 rules to protect me, my family, and my community.

This is THE BEST place to get your meat. All the beef is AAA quality and the all the chicken is free range,hormone free, steroid free, and Mennonite raised. The Beef and Chicken Roti were absolutely incredible, it is a must try! The selection of international groceries is amazing. The Beef patties tasted fantastic as well, they make a good side to the roti. This is and always will be my go to place for meats, takeout, and groceries.

Amazing service, custom cut New York striploins to 2.5" thick cuts. They priced it at a AAA but the marbling was closer to Prime. A great butcher in Barrie from a Saskatchewan meat producer. By far the best service I've had in Barrie and would send anyone in the city to this location for steaks. Well done Happy Mango!

It's OK. There is very little choice in barrie for Caribbean food. It could be a lot better. Chicken roti is mostly potato. Fresh meat is unpredictable and expensive.

That place that used to be up on Cundles could'a taken lessons from the Happy Mango. This place is definitely top-drawer. Whistle clean, super friendly and an awesome selection of AAA and Prime meats. It's tucked in a strip mall and very incognito. Don't let the name fool ya....it ain't about the mangoes here.

Family run business and always has the freshest meat around. I can cook up a couple pounds of their ground beef and not have any fat to drain! That doesn't happen with grocer meat. The roti and patties are pretty good and reasonably priced. They have a nice selection of spices and other items unique to West Indian cuisine. They are all about supporting local farmers which is a huge points scorer for me. And of course, the folks that work there are always pleasant and very helpful.
