If you've ever been to a real butcher shop in Toronto where they truly care about costumer service and only sell certified Angus, you'll know what I'm talking about. This butcher shop sold me a topcap (picanha) without even asking me if I wanted it to be cut or trimmed. WOW.... I paid $80 for a cut of prime meat and the membrane didn't even get removed. (This is truly embarrassing) I come from a butcher family and have been making bbq for over 15 years, I will never return to this butcher shop again. Stay away if you know what's good for you... they only want your money

Best butcher shop in town and it's right around the corner from my house. Gentleman behind the counter provides exceptional customer service and staff is very nice. You won't find better quality in Barrie. Truly a gem you need to experience if your looking for quality meats and groceries in Barrie.

We ordered two tomahawk steaks from them last week for my birthday and few other items. Everything was beautiful, they were great and easy to deal with and our items were delivered on schedule. First time ordering from them, but will not be our last!!! Strongly recommend.... the best butcher shop in town.

Reviews are bipolar with five stars and one star. The reason being is that it is hit or miss with these guys. Sometimes I go in and the meat is questionable sometimes I go in and it's fine. I go there for convenience, since it is the closest butcher shop to me. One thing to know, is that no matter how fresh the chicken breasts are, the actual quality of the meat is poor. It doesn't cook well. I am also convinced that anything that's about to go off, gets cooked in their Buffet.

Previous owners this place was 10/10 now with new owners I’ve had spoiled chicken, steaks are sub par at best. Zehrs has better quality and there’s suck to be honest. The Waygu they sell it’s real and they price it as. They don’t have a license to sell real Waygu check for yourself. Place is gone downhill. Avoid avoid avoid.

I have to say the atmosphere of the butcher shop is awful. The meat looks worse than a grocery store. Ribs have little to no meat. The staff yell at you when you ask questions. They tell you that you have to order more (lb) than what you ask bc it's guaranteed to shrink. I will never step foot in that store again.

Definitely worth to try. Today i called and ordered fathers day special, but as i dont have big freezer. I asked manager if I can split the order for two week. He helped me and stored my half order at store freezer. Thank you so much. Very helpfull staff.

Best butcher shop in town. Customer service top notch. We ordered veal chops and some T-bone steaks, it was so delicious. Best customer service, the manager was so calm and helped my dad to find nice steaks and also gave cooking tips and its ended beautiful. Cashier was so friendly and talkative. Constancy is not there. I am unsure if there has been a change in ownership over the past few months but when they first opened it was my go-to place. Unfortunately that has recently changed. I have been disappointed on multiple occasions... 1. I purchased pre marinated spoiled chicken from them and didn't realize until it was cooked as it's hard to tell when there is a sauce on it. 2. I pre ordered 20 top sirloin steaks and they tried to charge me $6/lb more per pound than the actual price until I said something. Not to mention when I ordered them they asked me to call back and confirm with them in an hour? Then never answer the phone and when I showed up to pick up the order they did not have it started. 3. I pre ordered 40 pre cut pork cutlets. Thankfully I asked to see them before I left as I was very specific with the size I asked and they made them double the size, as well as half the cutlets were more fat than meat. I ended up only taking 20/40 that I had originally wanted. 4. I just went back in to get 2 thinly cut top sirloin steaks which I got that last week as well for $14.00. This week it cost $30.00. Just keep getting more and more disappointed. Unfortunately I think this is the last straw for me. Which is disappointing to say as I was so happy with them months ago.

Picked up meat here today. This place is always extremely clean and very well staffed. Everyone wants to serve you here and that’s a great feeling as it’s becoming harder to find such places. The quality of the cuts is great and the pricing while a tad high is still a good deal for what you get. Be sure to try the wings, its yummy.... They have this weekend BBQ pack that I buy and take up north before hanging with my friends. The quality is outstanding and love the location.

It was my third visit to this place and i would like to say that they sell best variety of meat. I had family dinner last week and everybody loved the flavours and texture of the meat. The only place I go to buy liver as I know their animals come from free-range and grass fed vendors that provide quality products from cared for animals. The staff is very friendly and they work so hard (I never see anyone grumpy and not working at 100%).

They are selling expired spoiled food knowingly. I purchased the $99 family of four pack upon getting home found the chicken to be spoiled as soon as I opened the bag I called them, response was sorry for the inconvenience I don’t know how we didn’t smell that but we don’t get our fresh chicken until Tuesday, then through Facebook was offered a $25 gift card & exchange of said chicken, the pork chops were so overly seasoned to hide the smell of also being spoiled. This is disgusting, immoral & going to get someone violently ill or worse. I have requested a full refund as I refuse to now try any of the food & risk my families health & well being. Public health will be contacted to investigate.. Never ever will I purchase from here again or recommend to anyone!!

Used to my butcher for few months. Over the last couple times the shop has gone downhill, from quality and standard to cleanliness. After talking to one of the staff found out the reason being unpaid staff as well as suppliers. Met there old supplier in maple tottera fine foods, the owner owes him few thousand dollars as well as other suppliers are owed money. Will never support the owner with no passion and respect towards the business and staff. Seems like rest of the reviews are either paid or just friends and family of the owner.

I have bought over 1200 in meat from this shop in 4 months. First order I got, I was pretty much pleased with. Lean burgers 3pks of 4, steaks were good, etc. A couple minor complaints like ground beef prepacked in 2.5 lb, and brownish looking. Like previously frozen. Sausages previously frozen. 2nd order was last month...burgers were 2 pks of 4, my ground beef was frozen and looked like it came out of bottom of the freezer. When I cooked a package of ground beef there was over 1 1/2 cups of grease that came off of 1 1/2 lbs. I just pulled burgers out last night...they are not lean beef, more like pork burgers with a bit of beef. My grill was like a bonfire trying to cook them on low. There is lack of consistancy with their package deals. 1st time marinated wing, 2nd time not. Kebobs different both times. Sausages different both times. Seems like the bottom of the display chest and freezer is what is put in the order. I would order pkgs all the time if they had consistency in product portion and quality. Extremely annoyed with my ground beef and "burgers". I wonder if they are purchasing their so called ground beef in China town, my boss use to get his meat for burgers for restaurant there, it was labeled meat and grey looking, no blood or red colour to it and very fatty. Cannot even use what I have left, what a waste. I travel 45 minutes to pick up these meats in Barrie, I'm not going all the way back to return. If their sales are just to clear older product they need to state that in their ads. Being a butcher shop their entire order should be packed fresh that day, not previously portioned and/or frozen. Look at the pic and tell me that's beef...no blood when defrosted and mostly grey meat. I'll be looking for a better butchers.

Unbelievably delicious!! Best meat my family has ever had!! My son bought 2 large and 3 smaller Tomahawk steaks for his Dad's Birthday and we were blown away!! I was raised on a beef farm and I know meat and these guys do it better than anyone else. Since we moved to barrie we have been struggling to find decent meat and haven't found anyone with the quality I insist on until the really nice delivery guys shown up with the meat from your store. From the moment we opened the box we knew it was going to be good. Wow had to post some pictures even though the pictures do not do it justice. I can't believe you deliver to Brampton.Thank you for outstanding product and you have 5 new customers for life!!!

So I never do this but feel the need to. When this place first opened it was simply amazing, friendly staff, exceptional product one of the best butcher shops I've ever experienced. However since new owners have taken over (around December) I've noticed a severe decline in not only customer service but quality of the meat. I couldn't figure out why it seemed to go down so far so fast then I learned the old owners left and new owners took over. I will not be back. Shame I've always been a big supporter of local. Fortunately I've discovered where the old owners have gone and wow all I can say is it's like night and day.

This butchers was the best in town but they have changed hands and its the worst ove ever seen. Meat grey in color, way too much salt in their stuffed chicken legs. Steak tuff as old boots. Not a nice place to shop snymore
