They have a clean well serviced shop. I don’t think I noticed anything that was an issue. There are enough people working to assist you and the meat quality is fairly fresh. Their prices aren’t that bad it was $13 including taxes for 1k of ground beef. For the other stuff their prices can get high depending on what you’re choosing. They’re located in a plaza so parking usually isn’t an issue. Parking for handicap available.

Clean, well kept butchershop and cold cuts place. Customer service seems sporadic and not consistent, this maybe due to language and culture more then anything. Butcher section: I like going here for the clean atmosphere but the butchers dont customize when you ask them for things, so after first ask you feel like you are imposing on them. Butchers are part knowledge and part customer service and second part is really missing. The premarinated section: this is really good and selections are varied. Price is a little steep but I found its fresh stuff so its worth a extra few dollars. Cold cut section has lots of options, these are reballed as Paramount but its from Montreal. Here the people slicing dont really understand when you ask for shaved cuts, they keep saying thats as thin as we can get (but I keep pushing till they get it). Hence my point a true cold cut place knows the difference between sliced and shaved. However, freindly staff so have patience. They have small slection of pickled items and cheese as well. Overall aesthetically its upscale, service and professionalism of butchers needs work. Front line staff are very good. Price very reasonable. Should you visit? Absolutely go experience them and support your local shops.

Arrogant behaviour. We asked to cut fresh steaks as the ones on display were too thick for us. Initially he said no and was behaving awkwardly. Than he cut with big chunks of fat on it and gave us without trimming them. Won't be coming back.

The old guy behind the main counter won't even cut a couple of bones off to make a bag for someone... thanks to the other guy on the side counter for doing it. This place has really good cuts of fresh cut halal meat. They have a wide selection of different types of meats all available with or without seasoning. There is also some baked goods, spices, specialty cheese and other assorted items that might be of interest. The shop is well maintained, clean and staffed with people who offer service with a smile. The prices are reasonable and reflect the quality of the product. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

My brother and I use to come here often, and I mean once a week. Since the opening we use to buy NY strips for $10.99, now $15.99 for the same cut. Blatantly lied to us during Ramadan - stating price increase to $13.99 due to low availability. Last time we went there, about three weeks ago, we finally asked about the price increase. It was later said that "our supplier keeps raising the prices". Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they advertise that they have their own livestock and farm? Edit: Adonis Supermarket down the street is far superior with really good prices and AA or higher beef....

Quality is good but price is premium, I usually go else where due to their high pricing. Reason being if I am spending the high dollar I need to be spending it at a dine in at the end of the day I cannot justify the high price here if I am cooking, cleaning, preping then barbequing the meat myself. The price does not include the labour so I rather spend 5-8 dollars less kg and go else where.

I went recently to get short ribs and was shocked that suddenly they decided to increase the price to more than double what it used to be just a couple of months ago. The man had a prepackaged amount and again I was shocked when putting them on the grill that most of it is only fat with no meat at all. After buying 2 pieces of rip eye I went home and the sides of both pieces were black and spoiled, when I went back to return it, the manager solution was to trim it, imagin that. I use to be a regular customer who use to regularly buy steaks moved onto buying other products shish tawook tandoori chicken ect overtime the workers got ruder the older guys 2 weekends in a row they denied me entry 1st time 15 min before closing time 2nd time I went with my 2 kids the manager said we can't come inside because only 2 people are allowed inside i told him I didn't know he said so go back home i drove 30 min to come there i couldn't leave my 2 small kids inside the car alone told the manager this is not right i wont ever come back and he said done ever come back thanks owner is a nice guy but loosing alot of sales because of his arrogant staff

The butchers at this place are idiots. I ordered a full chicken and asked the guy to cut it into small pieces. Simple request right? He messed up my 17 bucks chicken. I have been a customer here for 6+ years. Referred countless family and friends. It was my go to as we trust in the morality of the owner. Recently, there have been some questionable business practices. The quality of the meat is being stretched. Meaning, if you buy any kafta mix from their freezer it’s got a suspiciously high water content… you’ll see when you cook it. More importantly, the pre marinated meat has been received stale more than a couple times and I’ve confirmed my findings with other customers I know. It’s evident to me that they’re mixing unsold, rotting meat into the fresh marinate. This is very shameful given how they advertise halal and have the community depending on them for their honesty.

They have a Deli section as well with condiments island and a frozen section. Price is not a determining factor to buy here, it's not cheap but you get the quality for what you buy. Got two pounds of short ribs and asked if they had any marinated ones.. he said yes and said they are the same price dumped almost a pound of bbq sauce on top of my 2lbs and charged me 17.99 for the sauce. What a ripoff i could have got a gallon of bbq sauce for that price. Also very rushed and poor customer service.

I'm a little ticked off at this place. Last year I came to them a week prior to Hanukkah asking if I could order a brisket. The owner laughed in my face saying that I would need to give him more notice. I agreed as I knew myself I was too late, and left without any recommendations as to where to find one. Fast forward this year, and I come back on December 4th knowing i'll need it within 3 weeks time. THIS time I was informed that if I were to order the Brisket I would have to get all 95 pounds and pay for it myself (?!?!) as he could not sell this type of meat to the public. (Which is not true - I know several people who would want it). Instead of circling to my friends within my city to come pitch in with me - I have decided to take my business (present + future) elsewhere. The manager could have handled my inquiry with more respect, not to mention they should take "Brisket" off of their wall if they don't plan on ordering it.

I'm a regular customer here, the attenders are very patient and they give you meat according to your request, they even remove the skin and fat out for chicken and cut them into small cubes if you want it that way; the quality of the meat surprised since I didn't expect it to be sooo good. They also have different cuts of beef, goat and lamb. Price is reasonable and I would definitely recommend it to everyone

started off good, in the last year or so not so much.... to start: 1) its now a complete rip off 2) quality has really slid. We use to get the beef/chicken sausages, beef pepperettes, beef jerky etc....everything tastes terrible now, I'm guessing they've changed supplier and also cant keep up with volume - since they're pumping this stuff put without keeping quality in mind, well people notice 3) the deli meat too is overly salty and has no distinct taste as it once did or a nice bark 4) the regular meat (ground beef, chicken etc.) is WAY overpriced and god forbid you ask for the piece of meat you want that you see in the display case (ribs especially), they think theyre doing you a favor and outright tell you no... when you're spending $10/lbs and buying 15 lbs plus - i think im allowed to be a bit picky...... 5) customer service needs huge improvement, another instance of snooty customer service... last time i went and asked for about 90 slices of deli meat, the girl start slicing a block which was completely done resulting in terribly thin slices ... when i asked she get another block of meat she said i have to finish this one and gave me a look... i stayed quite, then she herself got another block of meat because it was getting too difficult to slice the meat ...basically they dont care what you want only if its easier for them all in all sad to see such a good store go down in quality like this especially when you're paying the prices you do ... do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere

If you are getting ground chicken please have it weighed again after the chicken is ground as I noticed I got only half the quantity .I ordered for 2 pound chicken ground meat and after putting it in the grounding machine only got 1.3 lbs

Their quality in meat products and service has gone down. I drive 1.5 hours to make a special trip to Mississauga with the sole intention of going to Paramount for butchered meat and deli products. I truly just drive to the shop, then go somewhere for dinner, and then drive 1.5 hours back home. They don't bother using the absorbent liners in the packages of ground meat anymore, the ground meat used to be better quality, I usually have to trim veins out of the stewing meat a lot more than I used to. The latest trip I got my usual leg of lamb, and asked for it to be trimmed and cut, and it was the worst hack job. They used to trim and clean and cut the meat beautifully, hence my willingness to drive so far. I can't justify visiting their shop anymore. They have been a series of disappointments over the past year or so, but this was really the last straw. We have been going to this shop since it opened, so I do have a good sense of what type of service they used to give, and the quality they used to provide.

I ordered meat and deli from there meadowvale location on Tuesday. I went all the way from Milton to collect it. I reached there 10 minutes earlier of their closing time but it was closed. It's generally open from 10 am to 8 pm from Monday to Saturday ahd on Sunday they close at 6:00.

Bought two “Dry aged” steaks, I asked the guy over the counter for how long they are aged for? and he confirmed they are aged for 21 days. But they seem to wet for steaks that were aged for 21 days. After grilling these were the worst steaks then the ones you can find at Walmart. This was my first and last visit to this store

Very clean store. I'm happy to hear that their meat is antibiotic and hormone free. Their animals have access to clean water, free to roam, and are not confined. Now here lies the problem. Their animals are fed corn, soy, and/or wheat. Animals do not instinctively eat this type of feed unless they are hungry. I contacted Paramount head office and the general manager reached out to me and told me that the animal feed is government approved. He would not confirm whether the feed is non-genetically modified organism (non-GMO). This leads me to believe that the most likely source of food for the animals is GMO since it is cheap to buy and readily available. And for those that do not know, GMO should be completely avoided. Unfortunately, this is a common practice in the meat industry and things are starting to change slowly. I hope Paramount pays heed to this. I expected more since you are paying more to get your meat from a premium halal butcher shop. That said, I will be getting my meat from BlossomPure Organic where their meat is either organic or pasture raised. Best of all it's halal.

Be careful with this shop. Owners are liars and extremely greedy. Ordered two goats for Qurbani, the owners stated that the goats will be available to be picked up on Sunday after 1:00PM. As of this writing, which is Tuesday at 9:00PM, I still have not received the meat. Bear in mind that slaughtering of animal is a religious issue and it is time sensitive. So basically, I did not get the slaughtering of the animal on time and basically buying meat at ultra expensive per pound rate. Owners and the cashiers at the register are extremely rude and never returns your call even after they promise to do so. And most important of all, nobody knows what is going on. Really hated my experience and just want to warn everybody to be careful especially if you are planning on paying for Qurbani in the future. Not even sure if I will receive fresh meat or stale. Just wasted 550 dollars and only bought frustration, anger and probably stale meat[oh also wasted three trips to the shop which means wastage of gas and time]. My advice, stay away from this shop. I will be launching a complaint against them with better business bureau so that these people could be investigated.

Located near the Eglinton Ave Wand Confederation parkway. Very clean and appealing and has HALAL goat, lamb, beef. The staffs are good and friendly. I buy goat and lamb regularly from this shop. One can get best quality meat like the ones got from farm. The meats are displayed and packed neatly. Sunday mornings are usually crowded but there is a lot of room for the car parking. In my pictures, I have posted the timings, price and the items available etc. There’s a huge variety of marinated meat including chicken. Highly recommended although the price is on the higher side but you won’t be disappointed with the quality and Fresh meat.

It honestly makes me sad that a so called “halal” place would sell meat that costs double what it costs at other halal butchers and is not even half as good, quality wise. Hiking up prices and over charging your fellow brothers and sisters is not fair. I know that you obviously have to make money on product but you are charging $25.00 and up a pound for a cut of steak? Great shop and friendly people. They also carry Everythang Sauce by Canokie Foods out of Hamilton. Canokie Foods is a company that raises money to fund an addictions program, and the sauce is damn good. I'd recommend to stop by Paramount, get some meat, and grab yourself a bottle of Everythang Sauce.

The website advertises Beef Tenderloin for $19.99 a pound. I put an order in and the butcher is arguing with me that the price is $25.99 a pound and that the website is wrong. I continued to point out the website but the argument continued. I abandoned my order and went straight to Adonis and got a 4 pound half Halal beef tenderloin for $11.49 a pound. NEVER GOING BACK TO PARAMOUNT AGAIN.

Arrived to the store over 20 minutes before closing time. The man at the meat counter told me he isn't able to grind any meat nor is he even able to cut any meat because they have already started cleaning. The young girl from cash came over and was arrogant and rude. She showed me a sign that indicated what time they start cleaning the machines. I told her I was here before that time and she continued to tell me that other places like No Frills does the same thing. I asked her how she could help us since we are their customer. She said she could not do anything for us and that if we wanted we could drive back to the store the next day. Very poor customer service.

I got 7 LBS of Beef Short ribs. First it was frozen like a rock so i was not extremely happy. Also hard to see the quality of the meat. when i defrost the ribs, 2 lbs. out of 7 lbs. was absolute fat which you cannot even eat. so i paid about 20 dollars for garbage. Moved to Mississauga about one year ago. The one thing I missed most about my old neighbourhood was my butcher. Until now. I was on a mission to find Steaks as good as my previous butcher. Mission accomplished at Paramount Butcher Shop. Their “ Dry Aged “ Steaks in any cut are top of line !!! ... I’m a bit of a Steak Snob, so believe me when I say they are fantastic !!! Service was also top notch. Ivin is a pro and even remembered my name when I came back for the second time a week later. He cut me a fresh “ Rib Eye” that was his suggestion. It was to die for... enough said... I found my butcher in Mississauga!

Butcher selection and employees are amazing, second to none when it comes to halal. Super clean. Reason not for 5 stars is the cash employees for the past 3 or 4 times I've gone lack politeness I've come to expect and use to get before.. ie not smiling, throw the receipts on the counter without even saying thank you etc, sometimes even a bit of a snarl.. I dont get it.. not sure what happened vs before. Also they use to have a loyalty program but now never mention it anymore. In conclusion, Butcher staff are super cool and friendly, very knowledgeable too on cuts! I'm still going to go, just wish the cash staff improve.

The people who work here are incredible! My wife has anaphylaxis to the latex gloves that they wear, but every one of those people bend over backwards to serve my wife and/or I. I'm not sure if it is Mohammad's ability to pick staff, his training or they are just great people, or maybe a combination of all three.... What ever it is, keep doing it. Other than if I'm cooking pork, I don't buy meat anywhere else. Thank you Paramount Butcher Shop!

Bought a bunch of “Dry aged” ribeye steaks, and happened to be there when they were cutting them. I was extremely confused when I noticed they came out of a cryovac bag and they were wet (definitely not an umai bag), AFAIK the dry aging process doesn’t really work when the meat is wet in a cryovac bag. Not much was trimmed after they came out of this bag which also leads me to believe that this “dry aged” is a lie. Also when the guy weighed them, they were already in styrofoam trays. Normally this isn’t a huge deal but at an eye watering $18.99 a pound it appears I paid some money for the trays too. For 5, inch and a half steaks I paid a little over $115, which I am fine with BTW. I highly encourage the owners to reply to me so we can discuss this. I am 100% open to changing my review if anyone can prove to me that I actually received dry aged beef.

I had a very disappointing experience with Heritage Hills shop I ordered online and was expecting the delivery on Monday. They called me to reschedule the delivery to the next day and the lady confirmed that it will be freshly packed. The next day she called to reschedule again to the following day and reassuring me that the order will be freshly packed so I didn’t cancel my order. On Wednesday I received my order and I was shocked to see receipt and invoice with Monday’s date. No labels on the packaging to confirm the weight of each pack. All packs were overweighted based on the receipt. And in one of the packs they even billed 2.5lbs instead of 1lb. Unbelievable!! When I opened the packs I realised that the order was not fresh as she said and I paid $100 for meet packed since 2 days. I had to throw beef stew and some pieces of eye round because it was BLUE! I would never recommend to order online from Paramount Butcher Shop Heritage Hills. And this would be the last time I order from Paramount. NEVER NEVER AGAIN

The website and google page says it closes at 9pm however in reality it closes at 8:30. If you happen to make the assumption you'll get served after 8:30 you are likely to be told unceremoniously that all the machinery is being cleaned in the deli section so it is closed and unavailable and to hurry up and order in the butchery ( 8:40). All the counter lights will be off. All this is well and good if ownership simply edits their website and google page to say it closes at 8:30, that way nobody's time and trip is wasted. Other than that there's no doubt that it's a very clean butchery with fantastic quality meats and products. Service is mediocre at best but probably bearable till an equal quality competitor shows up with better service.

I ordered almost $150 of meat from Paramount Heritage. With explicit instruction to cut the meat in single-serving packages. The instructions were clear to follow. I received Walmart/costo style wholesome packages of the entire meat block. If I had to cut and prepare the meat myself, I would instead go to my corner butcher store and get it at one-third of my cost. Sloppy service and the lady at the Heritage store kept on arguing with me that it was not her fault; pretty much, she kept going on, and I had to hang up the call. Paramount Butcher is not worth it. Never again.

I recently went to Paramount Butcher Shop and I am extremely unsatisfied with their behaviour and lack of manners. I was about to enter the store when a worker named Ghadar came running over and physically pushed me out of the store and slammed the door shut, stating that they are closed. I was appalled at the barbaric behaviour from Ghadar, who stated that their store closes at 8pm and pointed to a flimsy piece of blank paper that stated their hours, of which were unreadable and easy to miss. I arrived between the time of 8pm-8:15pm, as I googled their business hours that state their closing time as 9pm. I told Ghadhar I did not appreciate being pushed out of the store and that the timings were wrong, upon which she replied "This is how we do business. Thanks". I have read the owner's replies on previous Google reviews on here, where they state for example that their "business is run on loyal customers" or that they "strive to make every guest feel welcomed and valued". This is completely FALSE. If you value loyal customers such as myself, or customers in general where you want them to feel "welcomed and valued", then you treat them with respect and handle scenarios accordingly - not with incivility. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied at the poor customer service and manners expressed by Ghadar. There were alternatives for Ghadar to handle this issue with an acceptable, kind, and CIVILIZED approach (emphasis on the word civilized). You have lost a loyal customer. There is nothing to do in order to rectify the issue as I won't be returning to this store, however the advice I offer you/the management is to train your staff, specifically Ghadar in customer service.

I visit Paramount a couple of times per month. Very friendly staff. They are very helpful in providing all kinds of chopping and grinding options. The meat's quality is superb. The manager is often in there handing out cups of Middle Eastern style coffee. I don't care if it's halal. Price is not cheap but you get what you pay for. This place is very clean. Parking is often a problem on the weekend.

Have been frequenting this place for sometime and they have really nice quality halal meats. Both raw as well as marinated meats are available. Have a variety of chicken, lamb, goat and beef meats. Also has a small selection of grocery and middle eastern pantry essentials. The only downside is their prices are a bit on the higher side but worth the money.

They have a very large sign behind the chicken counter. That sign states the definition of organic. I was misled by that sign because for the longest time I thought that their meat was organic. Some friend said that the meat there is not organic. I asked the person behind the counter, and they timidly said that it's not organic. The question is, why is the definition of organic posted there very conspicuously? Everything there gives the impression of organic. They try to trick you into thinking that their meat is organic without saying that it is. This is an extremely dubious behavior. I sincerely feel that they are very tricky and dishonest. I also had Muslim friends for BBQ, so I had to include halal meat on the options. As I'm now very suspicious of this place, all I have to say is investigate before you buy. Just make sure that they are not exploiting loopholes.

I had a chance to visit this place for the first time (even though I knew about this place but never really thought about visiting but decided that this time I would) and bought short ribs. They are limiting the number of people inside (understandably due to covid and current laws). The moment you enter, the fragrance inside was absolutely amazing, the smell of spices and meats was something special. The place looks well maintained, very clean and very organized, nothing in my field of view seemed out of place. I knew exactly where to pick up my order (that I placed online), and they knew right away where my order was. While I looked around I also ended up buying the Philly Cheesesteak (I have tried the real Philly Cheesesteak in Philadelphia) and I can say that the style they had was also pretty good. The people I served it to loved it as well. For the short ribs I bought, oh were they incredible. Texture, look and taste was top tier. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely shop here again and again.

Asked for 3 lbs of ground beef, the butcher put everything that was in the case on the scale and it came to 1.5 lbs... Without hesitation he starts grabbing a few different pieces of beef out of the display case (including a NY strip steak) grinds it up in front of me and puts it on the scale. By far the best butcher shop I've ever shopped at!

Called prior to visiting this place for the first time. I was interested in purchasing beef bacon as advertised. I was told it was at this location. First impression... if you're not one of us how dare you shop in here. NOBODY offered me any help and almost more than 6 employees were doing nothing but waiting on invisible customers. We had a horrible experience with a cash staff today, a young woman. We had placed a meat order over the phone today and went in to pick up the order. I wanted to place additional order for premarinated meat but they said I could do that when I came to the store. When my husband went into the store (he didn’t have to wait in the line outside the store because we had preordered), they refused to take the premarinated order and asked that my husband wait at the back of the line outside the store. That is utterly disrespectful. We shouldn’t be told one thing on the phone and then practically be kicked out only to come back in for another order. What a complete lack of respect for customers. She said it would be unfair to those waiting outside. What about the runaround we were getting!!

Terrible customer service, rude, they cut you off before you finish your sentence making an order. You arrive 20 minutes before their closing time, the refuse to serve you as they cleaned the grinding machines and the slicing machine 30 minutes before closing!!!! Are not you guys supposed to clean up your machines AFTER closing?!?! Not to mention how overpriced they are for no special reason. Managment, your staff really need to pick up a thing or two about customer service.
