Brent and the team at Herrington's are always amazing - friendly greeting and wonderful service. The meat is fresh and delicious. No better place to get a proper steak. The flattened chickens are amazing. The Herrinton's aoili is also incredible (grab a Chipotle if you see it on the shelf).

Great quality, veriety and prices. Meat pies are great value at buy 5 get one free, and lots of meat inside. Bacon is far superior to grocery store quality, and comparable in price. Chicken breast and skewers in different marinades provide lots of options and great taste.

Great quality meats, great service at a really clean and comfortable butcher shop. They're willing to customize your order, advise on preparation, etc. Locally sourced foods. They make London Broil, many types of sausage, have stuffed chicken breasts (with feta and cranberries) and fresh meat pies. They also sell frozen meat pies in 6-packs for the small ones and large pies are sold singly. There are a variety available from chicken and cranberry, chicken and veggie, to chicken curry, chili, steak and potato, steak and Guinness, beef and onion, turkey and gravy. There must be at least 6 or 7 more I've missed!

Hi, we live in Pickering, On. we went to Port Perry for lunch and stopped at Herrington's just for a look-see, we ended up buying quite a few things, but my boyfriend Ed bought the Steak and Kidney pies he is now in love, he had one last night and said I must write a great review, I am having their Turkey and cranberry for dinner tonight and I am sure I will love it just as much. Stopped by today to pick up some ribs to smoke. Saw the blue cheese and bacon burgers so pick up a few to try. OMG were they good. If you like blue cheese on your burger or not sure I can't recommend enough to give these a try. Sooooo good.

I'm sorry, but after reading the reviews I thought I would try Harrington's butcher in Port Perry. What a disappointment , these two steaks were extremely chewy and full of bristles. The steaks were not cheap. I gave a 2 star because I enjoyed the taste. The two steaks were only about 8oz each. I found the meat was very grisly.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. An amazing jewel in the heart of downtown Port Perry....spectacular enough to make my vegetarian children regret their choices sometimes. I go for the pies and it is worth the trip every time. Chicken curry, steak and guinness, steak and potato, steak and vegetable....never a mistake! Would also recommend the stuffed/wrapped chicken breasts and the cuts of beef are fantastic. Staff always smiling even through their masks. Looking for meat in the GPPA (Greater Port Perry Area) stop here and not be disappointed.

We sent an email inquiring about the freezer pack options, specified our preferences and gave our budget. A few days later we picked up our order and was definitely not at all disappointed! Quality wise, cost and portions far exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend Herringtons to anyone looking for a quality butcher that gets your needs exactly! The person on the counter last Friday morning suggested the baron of beef on display.to cook on the rotisserie. She assured me it would be excellent and boy was that an understatement! Well trimmed, it cooked really evenly (medium-rare) and was so tender you could almost cut it with a fork. I'll be back!!

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to visit the butcher itself in Port Perry, but did pick up one of their steak and Guiness pies at another retail outlet near Orillia. Now, I'm pretty particular about proper pies, but this was absolutely wonderful! Flaky crust loaded with tender chunks of steak, and a wonderfully flavourful rich, savoury gravy that tied it all together. Certainly one of the best meat pies I've ever had! If the rest of the butchery is anywhere near as good as that pie, it'll be worth the trip to visit.
