I’m very disappointed by the customer service and attitude at this establishment. I spoke to the owner Dave yesterday evening and we came to an agreement. Today it was time to collect my order and fulfil the agreement. I have been in business for 30+ years and I have never been treated this way. Prior to making my mind up about this butcher shop I called twice today and left a message so that Dave could call me back. Both times I spoke to his staff hearing him in the background saying he did not have the time to speak to me. All I can say is that he will never see another of my dollars. In a small town like orangeville customer service is key to survival and clearly they at Dave’s Butcher Shop have not yet learned the lesson. Time will tell if they are still here after the pandemic is over but by their customer service and the honesty that forms the foundation of any business I highly doubt it. Best of luck Dave, I hope your lack of respect towards me and my friend was worth it.

The friendly and warm staff... the amazing meats, Salmon, freezer selection... etc. Plus, being Disabled as I am, the lovely young lady even offered to help me to my car!!!!!!! You feel so welcome the moment you walk in.

The meat and cuts are very high quality and I’ve always turned to this shop for finer cuts and produce. Turkeys, steaks, soups, chops, you name it they usually have it along with fresh sausages and specialty chicken. I’m not as enthusiastic about the prices, though I pay them, and they NEVER pick up their phone which is really frustrating.

Just moved into town and am absolutely thrilled to have found Dave's Butcher Shop. Have visited twice and the staff are amazing! The first time we got steaks (sirloin) and the second for beef tenderloin. Both were amazing!! Fresh and great quality meat. We also tried their pre made frozen turkey gravy and it was totally delicious!! Looking forward to trying all this has to offer!!

I picked up a whole prime rib a few weeks ago and it was great. First called ahead and then drove over - in and out in less than 5 min with a whole vacuum-sealed roast. I asked if they normally have these in stock and I was told they do. Fast forward a few weeks - I called ahead to confirm if they had a whole prime rib in stock and they told me they had multiple. Great! I make my way over and when I arrive they tell me that I have to wait 30-45 min for them to prepare it... Strange because I called to ask about this specifically but okay no problem I thought - I'm a reasonable guy. Then I asked about the price and they told me it was now 25% more per pound than I paid last time. The explanation I was given was that someone messed up the price last time and I got a "Deal" because the price they gave me was for bone-in instead of bone-less. Okay no problem, I ask for them to prepare the bone-in and give them my number to call when its ready. A few minutes later I get a call telling me that they can't do it, it would take >1 day but I can have a bone-less roast if I want for the higher price. I ask if they could at least match the price that they quoted me the last time and was given a swift "No", take it or leave it. What was the point of me calling ahead if this turned into a whole ordeal as soon as I got there? I would have been more than happy to wait if I was told this over the phone. TL;DR: Called ahead to confirm stock. Drove 1 hour to pick up. Was given a run-around. Staff then tried to bait and switch me. I left with nothing and now wasted $30 in gas. A message to the owner: Please train your staff better or at least make an effort to fix a problem you caused! You've now lost what would have been a regular customer.

They have a little of everything. Not your typical butcher shop. I'm sure you can order what you want. I like how he cuts the steaks. Homemade burgers are good.

I have been there a handful of times, the employees are quick to help, but i see what seems to be the owner in the back, slamming and throwing things around while everyones acting like that isnt happening in the background. I I heard the blonde lady talking to one of the employees like she didnt know what she was doing. I thought she was doing fine. Not sure if id return. Not worth hearing that going on in the back.
