I can't explain enough why this shop is so great. The owner (Yehuda) will take the time to explain everything to you in such detail that you simply can not leave without feeling great about your choice to purchase meat there. I myself don't even eat meat, however I do feed it to my family and I'm very picky about what I feed them. I was misled regarding local grocery store organic meat and Yehuda gave me a friendly lesson, making me realize that the grocery store meat is never a great option no matter what the package says. It is worth it to purchase from him and his prices are completely reasonable for 100% organic grass fed beef, and organic antibiotic and hormone free poultry. In fact they are on par with grocery store organic meat and I'd much rather buy from Brothers. If you can't visit the store (although I highly recommend you visit at least once) he offers FREE delivery all over the GTA. He makes his own burgers, "hot dogs", lasagna, shepards pie, chili and more. His poultry selection is excellent and my whole family loved the taste. We have found with his products you get more in your portions and the beef and poultry does not shrink like regular grocery store options. Last night we made tacos with his ground beef, huge hit with the kids and we noticed that the beef did not shrink in the pan and there was little to no run off/grease/water. We also made a chicken soup for the first time using his chicken and a "soup hen" and immediately noticed 2 things: First was that the usual "shmutz" that rises to the top that we spend lots of time skimming....there was NONE. Second...the flavour and taste of the soup...fabulous. Highly highly recommend! Support local businesses AND get a great quality product.

This place is awesome. Everything tastes amazing and the owner is very passionate about his shop. I got chicken thighs, wings, Argentine pink shrimp and beef sirloin all which were extremely fresh and delicious. I've actually never eaten such fresh chicken in my life. When my wife was preparing the chicken she noticed that the muscles were very hard (in a good way) and the chicken wasn't losing its shape on the cutting board. There was absolutely no smell to the chicken even after it had been in the fridge for 3 days. Owner is very friendly and knowledgable about his job. I recommend this place to everyone.

Every single Friday night my friends Enisa and Boris go to this butcher shop and purchase beef and burgers for Friday dinner BBQ. Holy Moly the quality is unbelievable. The colour of the meat is red as fresh. The bison burgers are OMG OMG. The olive oil is freesshhhh. They have other premade food in the freezer like butter chicken, etc made by the owner. Man, and the prices are sooo reasonable. Thank you mr butcher. You are doing great and I talk about your shop everywher

I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to write this one. I visited this shop a few times. Ok, the owner doesn't wear mask because of his medical condition...I guess that is fine, and yes, there is always an option to wear a shield. I also noted, by reading a few reviews, that he defends himself vigorously. However, I witnessed something even more disturbing last weekend. Not only was the owner not wearing a mask, but he's female employee didn't wear one, and several clients were allowed in without a mask. Needless to say I felt very uncomfortable given that the shop is a very small space. I also live with someone who has compromised immune system, and every trip out to buy groceries is a risk. I wanna see what the owner has to say now... did all of these people have medical condition preventing them from wearing a mask??? I doubt that...

First of all, you can find something in the shop which cannot be easily found at supermarket. I noticed the special meet shop in our community right after we moved in Thornhill Woods. But I did not try until there was a unexpected robbery on April 1 2019. The robbery was horrible. The owner replaced a piece of wood in the door written "we are open". The steak is well sealed in a bag. I opened the bag two weeks later and the steak is still very fresh (they completely took the air out of the bag to make the expiration date much longer). Very fresh, very tasty, and very enjoyable with 53% Chinese Spirit. The shop closes at 7pm on weekdays and I can easily buy one bag for dinner after work. No special recipe needed. Just salt and black pepper for the original flavor. I truly recommend.

They are delicious so if you have time to stop by I reccomend doing so. I also reccomend trying the jamaican style jerky if you like spicy snacks.

Organic grass-fed beef is extremely healthy, but can also be tough if you get it from other places. This butcher however dry ages his beef well, so it is incredibly tender. It is the best grass fed beef we have had! Add to that the friendly owner who is incredibly passionate about the quality of his product and you really can't go wrong. Also had good experiences with the lamb.

Awesome place. Three reviews with one star are very odd, all in one day, hours apart. All I can say about this place is that I have been there many times and enjoyed absolutely every single visit. Beef is very high quality. Burgers actually taste like burgers. Zero filler, all grass fed beef. Tons of toppings to choose from. Two of my personal favorites are Boss Burger and Grilled Cheese Burger. There is also fish burger, fresh to order. Elk and bison burgers are also amazing. None of the burgers here will leave you with that heavy feeling. That shows the quality of the ingredients used at this place ????????????5

I wasn’t planning on posting a review as they returned my money, but I changed my mind. About a year ago I purchased high quality, grass fed, aged steaks. The price was high, but it was special occasion, and I decided to spend the extra $$. When I opened the package at home, the steaks had funny smell and colour. I went to my regular butcher and purchased beautiful fresh steaks. When I came back to the brothers butcher shoppe and returned the steaks, the owners were rude and kept telling me I know nothing about meat. They end up refund the money. I may not know a lot about meat, but I do know when meat is fresh and when it is not. Not recommended at all!

Store was busy, with in store customers, orders taken to customers waiting, and the butcher working was doing a great job of giving everyone enough time to ask about their knowledge and needs. Definitely knew his cuts, cooking techniques, pairings, and flavor profiles. Never felt like anything was being pushed on me. Multiple suggestions, at a variety of prices. I haven't visited pre pandemic restrictions, so I'm wondering if there is more fresh versus frozen during a normal set up. Highly recommend.

Wonderful butchershop with an owner and staff who truly care about providing the highest quality meats at an affordable price. He took the time to explain his sourcing on grass fed, grass finished beef and the extra due diligence required. i wanted to go in and support a small business, i really did. however, i saw the sign on the door about the owner not wearing a mask because of a medical condition and decided not to. in their google review responses, the owner says it's his right to not wear the mask because of a medical condition. then wear a face shield, dummy. it's also pretty good to remember that your rights end where someone else's begin. this means that if someone who's immuno compromised comes into your store, it's your duty/responsibility to make sure they're safe. i'm going to metro now. where everyone wears masks. EDIT to add response: discrimination because i choose to shop somewhere where people wear masks? jesus christ, that is the most ABSURD thing i've read all day (and i just read randy hillier comparing lockdown to the holocaust).

Amazing products and also love the helpfulness and overall attitude of the staff. Everything that had ingredients listed that I read actually had decent ingredients. This is the first time I go into a food store and find this to be the case. The staff was really understanding of my children being a bit out of control and even tried to help in a few ways. Since I came from so far away, he also offered to have me contact him if there was anything that I needed off of the website when it comes to ordering in bulk and also letting him know if there's anything I don't see on the website that he could get. All-in-all, this is the best butcher shop I've been to, which is quite the breath of fresh air.

This is the place to go if you’re looking for quality organic meats. Steaks are delicious and soft even though I like to cook them medium well. Sausages are also delicious and definitely worth trying. I don’t understand if people are so in their feelings about the owner not wearing a mask, no one is forcing you to shop from here so instead of giving a business 1 star for not wearing a mask and still saying the meat is delicious get out of the store and read the sign outside or just leave.

Marketing jargon and terminology can make for well-intentioned, but poor decisions when buying animal products...now have a much better understanding of how to navigate what organic/grass fed/etc actually means, and what to ask sellers/farms/etc to figure that out in order to get value and to support ethical and sustainable practices. Very transparent and honest establishment...great prices...great service. Also got a burger onsite which was excellent. Will definitely be back.

He clearly loves what he does, because of all the passion he has for his craft. I personally loved that he was able to prove where all the meat is from. While I am a vegan, I purchase all the meat for my family here. I feel better feeding my family meat from humanely raised animals. The owner is very knowledgeable and respectful towards to animals, and that's important to me.

Went there to buy some beef shank/ossa bucco cuts. My stew was fantastic, the meat was so fresh! Their bone marrow was AMAZING and soooooo fresh as well. Will definitely be returning, all the way from Etobicoke. It's worth the drive. Can't wait to try their steaks and sausages

Yehuda has the best meat you can get in the city. Your paying for quality and if you can afford it, it's worth the price. When you're feeling lazy an still want to use amazing ingredients, his beef and chicken broth is a fantastic base for any dish.

Yehuda, the owner, is a great guy, very knowledgeable and friendly which makes the whole experience amazing. I love that he gives recipe ideas and encourages us to try new things. The quality is always fresh and tastes exceptional, and when I say fresh he can tell you which farm he got it from and how many days ago and he probably just cut it today! By far the best iv ever had! We will never buy meat anywhere else. He Laid has a grill and has some delicious burgers and fries. You should definitely try this place if you like fresh tasty and organic local meat.

I needed a fresh turkey and none of the grocery stores had them yet. I called here and they were able to provide me with exactly what I needed and brined it for me. This was the best turkey I've ever had!! It was moist and tender and I didn't have to add anything but flour and water to the drippings to make an awesome gravy. Customer service was very helpful.

The Thornhill/Vaughan area has desperately needed an amazing organic butcher... We now have that! My wife and I love his grass fed, hormone free and organic meats, his fish options have gotten us eating more fish and he has great prepared foods as well as seasonal produce. Great butcher. However every time I go in they are never wearing a mask when serving customers. They require one for you to go in and shop. That is the last time I will shop here. Everyone needs to do their part to stop the spread. Very disappointed Thank you for your response. If you can't wear a mask, then the least you could do is wear a face shield to provide some protection for your customers along with your self. If you are medically compromised you should want to make all precautions necessary to protect your personal health.
