My first job as a 'bagger' in a supermarket resonates in everything I do and in every interaction i have with clients and customers in the corporate world many years later. That said, i have a predilection for business superiority identification... And this place encapsulates that ethos to the core. The staff are amazing, the shop is minimalistic yet refreshing in its unclaustrophobic floorplan, and the inventory is unique and slightly eccentric but fulfilling. Pay a visit!!!

Not only is this the best little local corner store in Canmore for every need, the man who helped me tonight was amazing. I didn’t feel safe waiting outside for a taxi as I was being harassed and had already been followed into the store and he let me stay and made sure I was safe there until the taxi arrived. Thank you so much sir!!

I've been a CANMORE resident & RUSTICANA customer for 20 years. Yesterday I shopped at the store & was shocked to see them selling 375 ml bottles of homemade hand sanitizer for $39.95 plus GST. The product is labelled as being manufactured by O-CANADA SOAP. This type of price gouging in a time of international crisis is not only appalling but pathetic. As I recognize that the price may reflect a small markup from what O'CANADA sold it to RUSTICANA I am placing this review on both companies profiles. Either way, both LOCAL companies are participating in this unacceptable strategy to profit from the crisis rather than attempting to help in some small way. By comparison, PARK DISTILLERY in BANFF is producing hand sanitizer and donating it free of charge to the town for distribution to those in need. In many places such as The State of NEW YORK, this conduct is unlawful and is being prosecuted. Shame on both companies that I have mentioned for their greed and disrespect to the residents and visitors of CANMORE.

We bought pepperoni cheese sticks and beef jerky. The beef jerky tasted like dog food. I spit it out immediately. Pepperoni cheese stick was pretty gross too. Both items will be brought home for the dogs, but Im worried it will give them diarrhea.

Good selection but can be a bit expensive for certain things - this is offset by having some unique/local products that you cannot find anywhere else. 5 stars for the staff and ownership who have been a part of the valley for many years. Overall a good store and a good experience.

Interesting little corner/grocery store. I bought a few random little foods (local) like cashew sour creme from banff and nelson BC brewery tofu and am pleased. I will be back to come poke around for local goodies ????

Perfect little store for all your food needs. They bring in a lot of unique local items which so far everything we have tried have been delicious. Prices are reasonable for the size of store and very friendly staff.

Awesome local grocer/corner store. They carry allot of locally made products like soaps and baked goods. Bought a fabulous Egyptian sour dough loaf and herb and cheese focaccia buns made by the Uprising bakery. Best focaccia I've ever had! It was amazingly savoury and chewy. Highly recommended stopping in Rusticana for a treat! Check out their freezer for a nice selection of locally made vegan soups and meat pies from Vallbella or a wholesome vegan meal from An Edible life eatery.
