If you are looking for best and high quality meat (beef, lamb, pork & chicken), Fish or any kind of meat this is the place to go To. Shop is externally clean, staff are very helpful and respectful, very professional service. The meat is fresh tender and juicy. Shop also serves others variety of prepared food plus they have a very nice sandwich is can enjoy for lunch. YES you will be more than your regular supermarket, but if you looking for quality and have extra $$$ you want to spend, at end it’s cheaper than you eat at restaurants.

I went to Primal Cuts today to purchase some beef ribs. I have a mask exemption and cannot wear a mask, when I explained this to the employee he made me stand outside (it is currently-20) and wait for him to trim the meat. When it came time to pay he made me give him my credit card to take it inside and tap because he would not allow me to enter the store. Being discriminated against in this way is highly inappropriate. I have an exemption, not leprosy. I won’t be giving any more business to this establishment.

My father decided that he would like us to have a really special experience, so we made an appointment with the owner George and got a couple of the Japanese Waygu steaks that primal cuts offers when available. I have had many of their steaks and have been blown away by the quality of the meat. In particular their dry aged steak is a reasonably priced superb experience that should be shared with friends while you make memories. It really is a beautiful and unique flavor and for me it is outstanding. I had noticed how much attention to detail Primal Cuts boasts and all of this culminated in meeting George. He is just awesome. A down to earth, super nice man who couldn’t be happier to answer any and all questions that you may have (and I had literally hundreds). There wasn’t a single detail that was overlooked and he spent the better part of an hour with my father and myself. It was clear to him that me and my dad were looking to have a bonding experience given that we hadn’t really seen each other much during Covid. George saw this, and made sure every detail was just perfect to make sure we had everything we needed. To be clear this didn’t end at the absolutely stellar meat. George packed it for us in beautiful branded freezer bags, made sure we had some excellent finishing salt, included the trimming so that we could render the fat to oil the pan - but the most incredible gesture where George showed how much he cared was in the fact that he lent us his personal cast iron pan. A 9 year old lodge, beautifully seasoned with many stories to tell I’m sure. To be clear, this is like lending someone your prized Gibson Les Paul to play a meaningful concert, but it because obvious very early on - that is just George. Not one detail goes unnoticed, and not one compromise is made. I don’t only recommend Primal Cuts from the position of their outstanding product, I recommend them because they are the best around - and I’m 100% sure George makes sure of that. What an excellent experience and something I will remember for many years.

I placed an order for beef tenderloin Dec 16 and told the butcher I was going to make Beef Wellington Christmas Day. The order was picked up Dec 23rd and I opened the package Christmas Day. Surprise!!! The entire piece of meat was tied with butcher twine. Apparently I was given an end piece of tenderloin instead of the proper center cut which is primarily used for Beef Wellington. After contacting George, the owner, he politely pointed out that he is a butcher and it is accepted practice for the meat to be tied in this manner. True, but not for the cut of meat I requested for my family Christmas dinner. An embarrassment to say the least having to try to explain all the string in the Beef Wellington. An expensive and very disappointing experience.

What a find this butcher shop has been for us. They've got a great selection of a number of meat and a wide variety of cuts. Staff are very friendly and knowledgable and quite helpful when it comes to giving you some thoughts on things you can do with meats and cuts you're not experienced with. I cannot say enough great things about this place. From start to finish they were wonderful! We ordered some sushi grade tuna for poke bowls and they went above and beyond to make sure our order was just right and the tuna was unbelievably delicious. I would most definitely recommend.

we ordered a turduckin roll as we were only feeding 5 people, and it said right on it 12.99 a pound which wouldn't be logical for just turkey. It turns out it was just a turkey breast and we called and asked about it and they weren't willing to do anything for us. 40$ for just over a 3lb turkey breast. Extremely unorganized will not go back.

Every sandwich I tried has been perfection. Rarely do I find a place that appeals to my palate as sublimely as Primal Cuts Kitchen. I aim to try every sandwich much to the detriment of my waistline. If you only have one sandwich in Peterborough make sure it's from Primal Cuts.

Stopped here for lunch and had a super delicious pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. The pulled pork was sweet and tangy and messy. Nice mild coleslaw on top. The Mac n cheese was very rich but very good. My partner had a fried chicken sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice spot with a variety of products for sale. Probably better to visit in the summer as there is plenty of seating outside but only a couple inside. Service was quick and friendly.

Excellent food quality and great experience in shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggesting options. Unfortunately they didn't have the bacon available that I came in for but one of the butchers explained that I can call in ahead of time to see if they have any and that it might be possible to request the marbling I like. Very pleased with the service and quality.

I purchased two Australian Wagu Tomahawk steaks to celebrate a friends birthday . We bbq those amazing steaks last night on our new Napoleon Prestige bbq . The cut and quality of those steaks were fantastic and what a show stopper when bbq’ing . I would highly recommend Primal Cuts look no further for top quality meats . Got two steaks dry aged ribeye and striploin was disqppointed the striploin wasnt dry aged. was told only the ribeeye and tomahawk were dry aged but none the less the steaks are amazing the dry aged ribeye melted in my mouth and my wife was very happy with striploin.
