Best almond croissant.
The best bakery! Some of my favourites are the carrot cake, turkey cranberry sandwich, Mediterranean baguette, and the raspberry pistachio eclair. Please bring back the Paris Brest :)
Very friendly upbeat staff, amazing turkey baguette! Cant wait to go back for another.

Coffee, baking, and staff were all outstanding on our visit here. Take time to check out Le Fournil, you won’t be disappointed ????
Thumps up for the croissant! It is one of best I’ve ever had!
Love this bakery. I come here every time I'm in Canmore :)
Great truly french baking
C'est incroyable! Everything we had was amazingly tasty & beautifully presented.
Pastries were okay. Not much selection of lunch items.
Excellent bread!
Omg! The baking is just like France. This will be my go-to place any time I visit Canmore.
Great french bakery with traditional French baguettes, croissants, etc. Offer a delicious breakfast and lunch menu as well. It's a bit pricey, but the ingredients are top tier and the presentation and flavor were amazing. Would come back next time I'm in Canmore.
Huge selection of bread/pastries/sweets, coffee was just OK though. The atmosphere felt very French.....
Awsome Bakery - if you line the french Croissants, Pain au Chocolat or Baguettes this is the place to go ???? I grew up appreciating french bakery products and that place could be in Paris too ????
Best bakery and coffee in the area. Worth the trip every morning and worth waiting in line!
Great for a coffee and pastries but not a lunch place... expensive $10.99 sandwich
Awesome baked products and great staff.
I had the carrot cake and London Fog (earl grey tea latte) and both were amazing! The French lady working was so sweet and described all the pastries for me because they all looked amazing and I couldn't choose. Everything is perfect about this bakery from the food to the service to the decor, music, and ambiance and to the stunning view of the mountains. I can't wait to come back and try more!
Good bakery with eye watering desserts
This is the best! Love the pastries! They are like miniature works of art!
My go-to place in town for tasty treats. Also, super-underrated brunch spot.
Every time we’re in town we try to stop at le fournil to stock up on bread ! This place is a gem in Canmore and is a must visit 100% for all visitors. The sandwiches and pastries are all phenomenal and give us great please always to support locally. Thank you all!
We got bread and pastries from this place while staying at a hereby hotel. Everything was excellent. This may be the best French bakery I’ve run across outside of Quebec. The COVID protocols were also very strong and we felt safe.
Cake and Bakery was really yummy.
We stopped in after riding the legacy trail. The texture of the macaron was incredible. My husband tried the chocolate eclair and the balance between the delicate pastry and rich chocolate cream was spot on. Probably the best eclair I have ever tasted.
Loved everything we got. We should have gotten more.
The best bakery I have found I Canmore!! the French desserts are perfect! grab a baguette, some lemon tarts and a latte stop over at vabella and grab some pate and you have a great light lunch!!
Best coffee in the valley. No contest.
As soon as my partner and I walked in the bakery, a woman rushed to tell us "no outside drinks allowed". (We thought it was a little odd that she did not even greet us first, or even acknowledge us). I was holding a small cup of coffee. I immediately stepped outside and left my cup on the patio. I did not hesitate to do so because they obviously have the right to enforce their own rules (as long as its not hurting anyone). We came back inside and with a smile, we greeted the lady who was helping us and continued to place our order. A few moments later while we are waiting for our order, an elderly white man walks in with a large red Tim Hortons cup. It was very visible. Both the employees working out front acknowledged that he was in the store by greeting him, talked about the weather, and asked him what he would like to order. NOTE: My partner and I are visible minorities. We are what some people call a triple threat - Black, Immigrant and Muslim. Suddenly there was so much tension and confusion in the room. Do they pick and choose who they enforce this rule on? The whole experience was hurtful and it left a bad taste in our mouths. We didn't say anything to anyone we honestly just couldn't wait to leave the place. I went outside to grab my now freezing coffee and left. We won't be coming back. To Le Fournil Bakery - it doesn't matter whether this was intentional or not. We know everyone in the room saw the big red cup. If you are going to enforce a rule. Enforce it on EVERYONE. Period.
Always amazing, we make sure to stop in every time we are in Canmore. We had the pain au jambon et fromage today, the outside was crisp and flakely with the inside buttery velvet. The ham was melt in your mouth delish with just the right amount of cheese; superb! We have picked up some extra special desserts for later.

An incredible French bakery with sandwiches and oh-so-good pastries
OMG the deserts there were fenominal not a big selection but what they had was beyond perfect.
The coffee here is very good. The pastries are seriously incredible. This is the bakery I have been searching for for years. The only downside is that I live 3000km away or I would be here every. day. Hands down the best chocolatines and almond croissants I have ever had. They are deliciously buttery and crispy (and somehow manage to keep their crispiness well into the chewing process). The almond croissant has an amazing almond paste inside (not that gross marzipan like a lot of other ones I've tried). This place has ruined all other pasty shops for me and would do the same for even the snobbiest of pastry connoisseurs!
Favorite place !!! A true must see.
DÉLICIEUX! The Raspberry and Blueberry Danish were amazing! So fresh and yummy, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We had the Chai Latte and it was so good as well! Friendly service and kind staff! Very reasonable prices.
An absolute french bakery, having their pastries felt like eating in Paris!
Nice little French place to have a light lunch or a nice pastry with a coffee in Canmore. The staff is nice and it's a cozy place with sitting in or on the patio. Closed Mondays. I go there often for a good coffee and there pastries. The chocolatines are good and they have nice cakes and mini square pies (like salted caramel & lemon meringue). They also have good bread and very good sandwiches. I tried a quiche and it was really good too. I recommend to stop by.
Heard about this gem, but hadn’t had the chance to investigate until now. We got one each of the raspberry and blueberry danishes and they will not be our last; daydreams of buttery flaky pastry and delightful fruit-and-cheese filling already haunt my daydreams and will be formally invited into my nightdreams. Good thing there are so many other treasures lined up and ready for our next visit(s)!
It was delicious and prices were fair. Quality was there and atmosphere was very pleasant.
Pastries and bread that are amazing
Beautiful but not my forte when wr tslk abt bakery. But my friends loved their pastries
I really liked it here, often bought drinks and food, till one day asked to leave after I bought a latte since it was getting crowded and they wanted my table free to others buying. There were 3 tables still will no one at them.
Oh my French Bakery, the best I have ever had, Danoise aux bleuets (blue berry). To die for same with the Danoise aux poured at chocolate yummy. Quiche yummy. You must get a Cafe Amaericano Misto. They make everything perfecto.
Omg the decadence! Had a very sinful dark chocolate creation that was a mix of devils food cake and ganache.I'm glad I don't know the calorie count! Can't wait to return!
Best bakery ever! Beautiful setting and atmosphere.
(Translated) A1. V gud food. (Original) A1. V gud food.
Super yummy pastries when you are looking for a special treat. They are more on the expensive side but they are SO beautiful! They also sell coffee beans here and bread.
Try the Monkey Bread.
Croissants are amazing
We are sure to make multiple visits to this bakery anytime we stay in Canmore or Banff. Delicious sandwiches for breakfast or lunch, satisfying danishes, and an exceptional almond croissant! IMO they’ve also handled customer flow through their establishment really well during the pandemic.
I love going to this bakery in Canmore! Not only do the pastries melt in your mouth, but the cakes are delicious, and the sandwiches are the best I ever tasted. The staff customer service is simply amazing.
Very rude. Was clearly waiting before another customer while holding breakfast menu. And was told to go to the back of the line... Not sure if was racially motivated. Also asked for hot water. Which they rudely gave to us and then my bf overheard the staff there gossping about the fact we asked for hot water. Me being an accountant and my boyfriend an engineer both working in the energy sector. Clearly if they are that un professional. Put hot water as a menu item-i will gladly pay fot it..
Great coffees and awesome pastry. A bit cramped though but great service
The most delicious pastry and coffee in Canmore!
Unbelievably awesome. Highly recommend this wonderful bakery.
Wonderful discovery! The Pomme d'Api was heavenly!
Beautifully presented, fantastic quality and the prices can’t be beat. What more could you ask for? We went to go to a popular bagel hotspot and didn’t find anything on the menu to suit what we were looking for so we crossed the road and found this hidden gem. What a treat that was!
The most ARROGANT place to eat in Canada!!! Expensive too!! We wanted to buy a loaf of bread to take home. There were 3 loaves of the type we wanted. We asked for the loaf we wanted, a little darker crust, and they said no!! We had to take the one that they chose to give us!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Very wonderful patisserie in the town of canmore. Lovely staff and delicious and indulging food! Has ample seating and a nice view of the surrounding mountains.
I tried their almond chocolate croissant and pistachio pastry. Both were really good.
Helpful staff and good croissants
We stopped by this bakery on the way home from Banff! Very impressed with the quality of their pastries and desserts. The raspberry danish is so buttery and flaky and is definitely one of the best I have tried????. Food: 5 / 5 ???? Service: 5 / 5 ????
Excellent! So nice to have in the Valley! Their lemon meringue tart Square is excellent as it is very tart and lemony. Croissants are excellent too, definitely recommend you check them out!
Nice place; excellent croissants.
Great, welcoming staff! Good selection of pastries.
We went in for 1 dessert. We bought 5 desserts. We ate them all in the car... in the parking lot. I cant stop thinking about the deserts. Is it sunday yet?
Cute, charming and delicious food!
Excellent.!!! Lunch for two with lattes and desert 35$.
Quaint bakery which is a long narrow space. You can sit at one of tables situated beside the large windows. As you take in the view of the mountains, enjoy one of the handcrafted beverages that pairs with the European style breads; hard crust with a toothsome texture. The hot chocolate is made from real chocolate and topped up with hot milk foam.
Always a delightful stop for a latte and delicious baked goods. The croissants are fantastic! This time we had the green salad with fresh buns on the side, and it was the perfect lunch for our drive home from a ski trip. Very worth a visit.
I have to agree amazingly delicious pastry and breads the cafe is a little tight to sit It is pricey and there is a limited choice for beverages the staff were not very friendly or helpful when we had special requests after hearing how good this cafe was will most likely not return
This bakery is authentic French and their food is delicious!! I go there very often for baguette, bread and croissants and they are the absolute best. The staff is good, friendly and helpful.
Very good pastries. However, they are on the expensive side. Also, I asked the lady to give me a to go cup for the $4.50 coffee I paid and she said a to go cup is extra. No thanks.
very rude customer service ruined our first day of summer break...
An amazing place. The pastries and drinks were the best. We were here every day of vacation, and we'll miss it.
Totally made our morning. Fantastic bread, awesome coffee and great location. It was busy and we had to wait for tables... which was a great sign. Next time we will visit here when we are less hungry ????
Just perfection ????
Best French bakery in town
Best croissant in the world.. every other thing looks great but i can't choose other but croissant. I visited every other day.. it is super addict-able
WOW! Said my taste buds!! Just like Quebec or France but better because it's closer..
I’m a Canmore local and while I acknowledge the bread and patisseries are delicious, since re-opening post the flood to now, the service and friendliness of staff has gotten worse, to the point of rudeness. Not to mention they now scream out your order number to pick up your coffee. Needless to say, it is not a relaxing place to enjoy a meal. Also the sandwiches now taste stale instead of the typical crunchy baguette like they used to be. Sadly my husband and I will not be returning. Instead we’ll get our bread from JK Bakery in Canmore and macaroons from Ollia in Calgary.
What a real pastry shop should be
Great french bakery.
Talk about an authentic french bakery! They do it right. From the sandwiches to the sweet treats. Their coffee pairs very well. The staff is helpful and efficient. Get here early as the good stuff (it's all good) doesn't last long. It's a great way to start your day or have a mid day treat. If needed their wifi is efficient enough so you write a google review :-)
Cake was dry, staff seemed stressed out/overworked.
An absolute must when in Canmore. Best croissants I've had in this country to date. They never disappoint.
Best French bakery in Southern Alberta. Everything they create is delicious from breakfast to dessert. Breads are fresh and cooked to perfection and their specialty of the week is always delicious. My wife and I come here every time we visit Canmore.
This place is absolutely amazing. It's a must go for sure. If you speak French, some of them do as well. I love the fact that their menu is in French, it makes me feel home, and it gives a little comfort to a French speaker too. I'm in love with their croissant and little cakes. They are just delicious!
Everything looked so good and unique it was hard to pick one! I went by their recommandation and picked the café au chocolat. It had the perfect texture, and it makes me want to go back first thing tomorrow to try another one ????We are from France and we love pâtisseries so we are happy to find some just as good over here
It was recommended to me by some Canmore locals and it did not disappoint. Delicious morning treats, super fresh and high quality pastries. Didn't get to try the coffee but seemed to have a nice expresso machine. Local was chic and clean and the owner served me in french which was a nice touch. (I am french)
Decent French bakery. Depending on the time of the day, there are different options.
Everything is amazing except the chairs and tables
Stellar service
This is a truly authentic French bakery. The ham and cheese croissants are amazing and the coffee is delicious. Also lots of treats to buy for gifts.
Authentic French bakery with excellent espresso, the finest pastries and a croque monsieur to die for. Also, try the lemon tart !!
It's good but it's expensive. Tiny cream cakes are over $7 each, my small cappucino was $4.5 (not that bad, but it was really small), sandwiches are $11. Currently you can not sit in there and they don't accepy cash.
Delicious and authentic French bakery
Oui. Yes. Come here. But don't get lost wandering around the building like I did. The bakery is located inside the strip mall main entrance door, and then to the right. This is a place you get your items and leave. The packaging is beautifully done. The cafe was busy but the proprietor's were very serious about maintaining social distances and had hand sanitizer etc. The selection is well curated and glorious. The sandwiches looked so scrumptious, I can't wait to return and sample more items. The croissants were flaky and soft (cue the music when you dunk the almond one in coffee, oo la la!). The ham and cheese pastry was amazing. I decided not even to add butter to it. I wasn't blown away by the chocolate cake the first time I tried it. But, after putting half away in the fridge, I LOVED it chilled the next day with coffee. We got two little lemon merengue tarts on a whim and they were o u t of this world. This is a truly authentic French bakery with beautifully prepared, tasty food.
A delicious French bakery + cafe with very high quality pastries. Wish we had he chance to try some baguettes.
The best raspberry Danish made with butter puff pastry and a Cappuccino.
Tasty food, staff have strong french accents and very friendly
Très bien! Pastries are as French as can be.
Covid protocols in place but still easy to order. Friendly service! Pain au chocolat and pesto danish were amazing. Flaky, buttery, not overly sweet. Tastes like Paris in Canmore! Highly recommend.
Great food, great location, good coffee. Local hangout
Delicious!
Terrible service and attitude of staff. Very unpleasant. Average treats.
Must visit bakery
Amazing Quiche!
I absolutely LOVE the bread here, everything about the place, except that the staff look like they’re mad or don’t want to help you, they just rush it. If I ever order some bread they’ll look annoyed of me getting more than one bread.
French bread, pastries, delicious desserts and good coffee.
Nice
Great coffee and mouth watering pastries.
Would return. Edit:( Returned) Flaky, crisp and buttery. Their pastries are high quality and comparable/better …
Yum!!! Says it all!
France sent a gift, it comes in the form of Le fournil bakery.. visit once and try to drive by next time your near..
Excellent selection of pastries and baked goods. Croissants are to die for! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The prices aren't cheap and it can get crowded but it's definitely worth the visit.
Wonderful!
Food is really good but the manager was not friendly and rushing when it was not busy.
A bakery worth driving to from Calgary.... nuff said.
Expensive, but delicious. Worth it for the occasional treat.
I'm 43 years old and have eaten a lot of bread from all over the world. The Danishes and Bread are amazing. Can't wait to try more off the menu.
Love this place! The best croissant with almond cream!
They make the best bread and amazing cakes and pastries.
Flakey, delicious croissants in uncomfortable dining spaces served by curt counter staff. No soup for you!
Oh yeah yum to the max
Amazing place Great service. Great selection of yumminess
Fantastic, fresh bakery items. Appropriately priced. Lots of variety of baked goods. Tastes and feel like heaven.
We visited this place twice during our short stay. Great amazing French pasties. They also serve awesome bahn Mi, soups and their duck confit was pure heavenly. But to me the people at the counter could be a little friendlier. They get away with it because everything is so good there. I even gave them 5 stars even with subpar service.
Dropped in for breakfast but doesn't have a full breakfast menu at the moment....got a pain au chocolate and coffee to go... excellent
Yummy treats! Great coffee!!!
The best bakery in canmore, worth the drive from Calgary! So far all the small pastries we’ve tried (7 different flavors) have been amazing. Best raspberry danish I have ever had.
Very delicious bakery! + Open early + Plenty of seating + A lot of baked goods to choose from + Beautifully designed cakes + Delicious mocha, latte, and chai latte
Delicious baked goods!
Better quality than most of the pastry shops and bakeries back home. Delicious, authentic and fairly priced.
Love this little bakery. I have one particular favourite item but I won't say what it is just in case you buy the last one in front of me based on this recommendation! I don't think you can't really go wrong with anything here though. Definitely a great place to stop when in Canmore. Only downside is the small, crammed parking lot.
Great croissants, baguettes and treats. Very professional and friendly staff. For a moment you think you are in Paris. Their cappuccinos are also top notch. Great experience overall ????????
Great spot if you have the budget. As close to a French patisserie as you will ever get in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta.
So many cakes and pastries to choose from. The cakes look beautiful. I had a hard time deciding, but the employees took the time to help me choose. It’s a great stop on the way to banff.
French bakery. How can I not like this? Go for the bread and hot chocolate. Worth it.
Fantastic pastries!! Great service. A must for travellers in the area!
Very good French bakery where the food and drinks are done right. There croissant and chocolate croissant are a must have.
Amazing cakes and pastries. A must do
Every time we're in Canmore we come here as a tradition. Best food in Canmore!
(Translated) Delicious bread and coffee. I would return delighted. (Original) Delicioso el pan y el café. Regresaría encantada.
Great little bakery!
Missing a warm atmosphere. Felt rushed and had to ask for suggestions. Didn't even get a "thank you" after leaving a tip.
(Translated) The cake is delicious, the service ecology is very kind (Original) 蛋糕好吃,服務生態度很親切
Combination of art ant taste. Our second time today. Had a amazing experience both with the taste and costumer service. Really nice staff and delicious bakery.
Friendly staff , good taste
The bread is awesome, the baked goods are awesome the coffee is awesome and the staff are great. Definitely nice to have a decent bakery in Canmore!
The best bakery I've been to in Alberta. The almond croissants are exquisite. Beautiful mountainous location not far from from Calgary.
Authentic French Restaurant
Great food. Poor Attitude from staff. I don't care if they are "French" it wouldn't hurt to crack a smile. The negative uninviting energy is not a place to enjoy a coffee. I felt like I was in the Seinfeld Soup Nazi episode. Take your baguette and enjoy it at home. Or if you are in Calgary go to Éclair de Lune better food and attitude!
Wow! What a surprise! This place is amazing! French-style breads, pastries, sandwiches and coffee... all incredible.
Excellent French-style patisserie. If you're looking for great French pastries and desserts, look no further. This place is a little gem. Everything is prepared with extreme care to detail, looks wonderful and tastes great. Don't miss out on the Danoise aux bluets.
Amazing French bakery. Pastries are delicious, Croque Monsieur was perfect, ingredients very fresh including fruit. Excellent coffee as well. A lot of passion goes into their products and it is very reasonably priced. I will be back!
I’m a local in Canmore. Yes, Your Bread is good for sure but service is awful & over priced. We are not retuning your bakery anymore.
Quintessential French boulangerie. Try this for an afternoon of delight; baguette freshly made with and filled with curried chickpeas followed by a lemon tart AND a bite of chocolate tart with salted caramel. Splash through this deliciousness with a hot Americano. Now you may think that I'm not.sophisticated enough.to know a great pastry from a GREAT pastry. That may be so, but I tell you I have no idea how to begin making that caramel. This is food art.
The shot of hot chocolate is UNREAL. A must for any choco-holics like myself. I had also bought a loaf of bread that was fresh and amazing for my gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches I made later that night. Yum!
The best
Had a couple danishes and an Americano. Fresh and well prepared. Ample blueberries on the one and the other was a savory pesto, tomato, and cheese that was nice. Also, took a loaf of bread home for $8, which is good for quality. Not a huge selection but all good that they offer. Their deserts look amazing but didn't try any of those. Staff were pleasant enough and not overly talkative, which is nice when you're trying to get through the queue. Only negative would be the names of the items were not familiar, in French I think, so describing them is difficult but you obviously know what you're looking at when you're there. I will make this a regular stop.
Fantastic little cafe - awesome decor, great drinks and stunning desserts.
Amazing taste and great helpful staff. A must stop place in Canmore if you like desserts.
A trip to Canmore/Banff or the Rockies is never complete without a pit stop at Le fournil. Hands down the best croissant in Western Canada! The Lattes are amazing as well. Service has always been top notch, the baked goods are second to none and we absolutely love their bread (hard to pick a fave but the sourdough baguette is a staple). They sell out quick so if you want to sample the lions share of their offerings, my advice would be to go in the morning as opposed to the afternoon as they've sold out of most items by then. Happy to see them open and busy on a recent visit to Canmore as Covid has presented many challenges to small businesses such as this one and was impressed to see that the quality and offerings remain strong.
Best decadent croissants and deserts. Canmore must go place!
Fresh bread and baked goods. I always stop by when I'm in Canmore. Their cakes are gorgeous and so delicious.
Excellent, classic french bakery.
Great Food and Desserts. The staff were very friendly and helpful in what to choose. Quiche Lorraine was really good!
The baguettes are as they should be. Special touches and refined flavours on the little cakes,
Very yummy assortment of pastries...and the breads are also delicious. Unfortunately they are open very limited hours though.
Croissant and pastries are both amazing. Any time we are in Canmore we get extra to take back to Calgary. Croissant are so light an flakey. They have a nice mix of sweet and savoury items.
Best croissant anywhere, fantastic sourdough bread and solid coffee.
Great pastries & sandwiches
As close to Paris as it gets!
Love this place. They have breakfast but I always get one of their delicious sourdough breads. They also have fantastic pastries.
Incredible pastries and a very inspired menu. Daily soup and sandwich were unique and delicious!
Very comfy, nice staff, and the food? Well, it's a French bakery and it lives up to the hype. Very yummy!
This is the best traditional French bakery in Canmore by a longshot
GREAT
I adore this bakery. I even set my alarm to get up early to get there for the freshly baked almond croissants. They sell out and trust me there is often a line up to get them. They are pretty special. I always take company here to experience this lovely bakery with their divine treats, breads and food. Everyone loves it. Absolutely every single item I have tried here is delicious. You can not go wrong. The staff is always helpful and even when it is super busy, they keep things running smoothly and efficiently. They also have a section of gourmet food oils, vinegars, spices ect and I love to pick the odd thing up to cook with at home. It is such a delight. Make time. Try it. Go early for the almond croissants but if they are sold out anything that you try will be absolutely scrumptious.
Yummy French pastries. Will definitely go again. They even had a flourless orange cake. It was delicious.
Stopping at Le Fournil has become an anticipated ritual after chiropractic appointments. It is hard to resist the lure of the scent of freshly baked goods and exquisite, delicious breads and pastries. Plus the feeling of being in a European bakery is like taking a "mini-vacation", which has been even more appreciated during these times when we can't travel there. The staff has done an excellent job accommodating clients amidst covid restrictions. Owner, Pascale, not only knows a lot about baking, but curly hair too!
All kinds of croissants are great, especially almonds.
A large Americanomis more of a medium size
The pastries and deserts here are absolutely amazing! I'm hoping to come back some day to try some of their baguettes.
Great baking. A necessary stop when refueling or staying in Canmore.
Small selection but everything we tried was flawless.
Everything is wonderful!
Excellent baked goods and lattes. A little pricey. Friendly staff.
Wonderful little patisserie. Friendly staff. Amazing collection of baked goods and cakes. Delicious espressos.
Person driving company van was very rude
The best almond croissants. The French baguette was great for our picnic too.
Found a 7.5" (19cm) long hair in my pastry. Could not have been mine nor the server's as it was embedded right through the middle of the pastry. Neither the manager nor AB Govt. Inspector was concerned enough to want the hair for further investigation. Not comfortable eating at this bakery now.
Great cafe, better service
Delicious, crusty breads. Nice French pastries. Try the quiche.
Incredible authentic French bakery, everything is a masterpiece!
Tasty sandwiches, speedy service thru doorway set up with a pick up window just a few steps over. Americano was delicious as were the breads, croissant and tarts (lemon and a caramel chocolate). Easy access parking. Spray bottle and towels available for cleaning the outside seating and tables. Lovely stop to grab some food for our picnic lunch. We look forward to coming back for more.
Baking is amazing - 5++++ stars for sure. Some of the best in any city anywhere. World class. The coffee is just meh. Not great, to be honest. Burned beans and poorly done foam - 2 stars for the coffee. Best plan - pick up baking from here, get a to go coffee from Rave, enjoy at home / in your hotel.
French patisserie goods to die for. The almond croissants are sublime. The cheesecake eclair heaven, and the chocolate cake is ooh lala. A little treasure in Canmore and well worth the visit. Everything is baked fresh in house and very well presented. They also serve delicious lunches; if you like well made quiches you will love le fournil.
Daughter took us there today. Food excellent ????
Can't go or drive by Canmore without making a stop. This is one of the best bakeries in all of area of Canmore/Banff and Calgary.
Ok so croissants are delicious. Also got the brownie with caramel and it was literally liquid caramel. Pored out huge mess and wayyyyy too sweet. Staff are nice but called ahead to ask if they had any sourdough and they would not put aside even though I offered to pay for it. I was driving from Calgary and they wouldn’t hold it. Don’t like the owner sitting in the corner just watching the staff. Why not help them or even greet the customers in a friendly way.
Always fantastic food and excellent service
Mmh! Amazing bakery! I love the details in the goods and always smells amazing. Every time I go to the mountains I make a stop here and I always bring back some for my family!
Legit French bakery. All of their sweets are to die for, and it's a great place to grab an 'artisan' bread for dinner. Great coffee, great atmosphere, AMAZING blueberry danishes!
I am in town visiting a friend that I hiked the Camino de Santiago with. There was a chocolate pastry that we had on the trail that had fond memories for us. This bakery made a delicious one, called Chocolatine, as well as one with almonds... We also shared a Danoise salée that was absolutely divine and the monkey bread was perfect. The chai latte was amazing as well... Not too sweet and just enough spice. I highly recommend this bakery and I will definitely be eating there again tomorrow morning!
Born and raised in Montreal, spent significant amount of time in Wallonia (Belgium) and Paris. This is one of the best, if not the best, bakery for pastry in Southern Alberta. Quality is comparable to the best of Europe. Everything you look for in a classic croissant or chocolatine. The crust is crispy, flaky with notes of caramel. The inside is soft, buttery, but still very well layered. Their classic are also very consistent (visited the placed >10 times over the last year). They also do non-classic pastry and dessert very well. (The blueberry danish is to die for). Their turkey-cranberry baguette is also incredible on a hike, the baguette has a golden crust with neatly open furrows, clearly handmade shown by the beautiful irregular alveolar. The taste is classic. Recently went back to Montreal, went to multiple bakeries and for croissant/chocolatine, le Fournil was still King. A gem in Canmore, worth the stop. The price might be above the competitors, but well worth it for the quality. Only wished they had a fidelity card. Only tip : for their blueberry danish, come early as they sell out fast! Vos patisseries sont tout simplement légendaires.
Delicious! We carefully packed treats for the whole fambam as gifts. Win win for us:)
Phenomenal pastries. Tried both a ham and cheese and a chocolate almond and they were amazing. The hardest part was making a decision on which pastries to select! Definitely will be back to try more
The sourdough bread was awesome (white & whole wheat combo)! Croissants not so fresh - not sure if they were having a slow day. One staff lady was not very friendly- having a bad day perhaps? She was pretty aggressive to clients ahead of me in line. I was very apprehensive when it was my turn to order.
Authentic french pastry, dessert, and bread. Friendly staff that are mostly bilingual if you are a native French speaker. Good coffee too. You will be paying for the quality but it's sooooo worth it. Go earlier rather than later because they will sellout of their more popular items. Arugably the best bakery in the Bow Valley
Although the bakery goodies are great I wanted to have the service in Canada second official language FRENCH as there was staff who spoke french the day I went. In fact, i switched to french as i felt staff were struggling to understand but they would/could not speak french. I wont return.
If you long for traditional French boulangerie fare, you absolutely must visit Le Fournil. Coffee is outstanding, paired with a chocolat croissant.
Authentic bakery. Plenty of amazing baked items to choose from. Staff was great and service was prompt
Great place. Geeat staff.
Amazing everything, especially almond croissants
Bad service and very rude .
Great little gem in the heart of the Rockie Mountains. True french pastry bakery!
Delicious pastries! Outstanding coffee! Great service! We will go there again!
Best croissants! I would highly suggest them!
Great bakery
Greet location, amazing pastries and friendly staff. Wish this place was in my home town, lol.
The pastries are amazing, I would give this 5 stars but very pricey.
This bakery had done it right! Of the many places my wife and I dined while visiting Alberta, this is the only one that impressed us! Try everything, we did!
Such good food & coffee selection!
Such a great environment, very friendly and sooooo good!!
delicious Turkish bread and cheese and tomato croissant
Huge number of options. They have amazing in house eye appealing bakery & fresh coffee options ???? ???? ☕️ Must try when you’re in Canmore..
Great coffee, better pastries.
Overpriced and they run out of everything after 10am.
Tasty treats
Delicious desserts and kind, friendly staff - don't miss this gem.
No GF options, so my buddy can't eat here, but their food & coffee are good!
Best danishes I've ever had! Worth the price.
Ordered 3 different pastries, no taste just sugar. Not impressed at all
Delicious pastries and gourmet sandwiches! This is the best cafe in Canmore for us! Their croissants are so buttery and flaky, Chocolatines are deliciously amazing, oozing with chocolate goodness inside. One of their best is their Monkey bread, it’s like a croissant-muffin with cinnamon flavour. Don’t forget to try their lattes and flat whites! They only have one size for coffees, but it taste fantastic! Definitely coming back!
Delicious pastries, sandwiches, coffee and friendly staff!
yummy pastries and cakes - bit pricey but good value
What a wonderful way to feel like you are in Europe! Beautiful French pastries -- that look as good as they taste -- real baguettes and croissants. The soup we had was "to die for". Excellent expresso, delicious sandwiches. The caprese was part bruschetta and all delectable. Not a place to miss.
The real french experience. Down to being snapped at for daring to ask for my ham cheese croissant heated up. They have a microwave but heating up croissants isnt allowed. I came here a few months back and had some good breakfast. So post crosscountry I reccomended it to 8 of my friends. They were clearly not happy for us to even be there. Food is ok but could do without the side of pretentiousness
Excellent!
Pastries, Tourtière and bread were all delicious.
Excellent
What an amazing bakery. Beautiful artisan bread, delicious viennoiserie and charming pastries. Definitely worth seeking out in Canmore.
Amazing breads and treats. The monkey bread is amazing and kids could not get enough of it.
Great good and service. Will be hoing back
Chocolatine! Yum. Best bakery in Canmore, but get there early or you might miss out.
Delicious pastries and treats!
Friendly staff, beautiful ambiance and baked goods, lovely experience. Definitely recommended.
Amazing everything!
Nice french girls accent and all. If your french talk to them in french!! there not putting up a front here it's a genuine French bakery not one of those ones that says there french just because people respect a french baking tradition. It's a cute place and quite tasty. I like it.
Really good pastries!
Great decor, super friendly staff and awesomely tasty food!
Excellent coffee! Delicious croissant and beautiful view!
Everything here is superb. Pastries, coffee, sandwiches, cakes, quiche...all wonderful.
At 1st closure La Fournil had bulk ordering only so completely stopped as we don't consume lots of product at once. Next time outdoor only ordering/pick ups where we paid before picking up our order. Now cannot order & pay ahead & hamburger buns...only to be 1st come 1st served in a.m. Arrived in a.m. as instructed to be told glitch occurred so come back at noon & stand in line again. Nope.
Cozy cafe where everything is wonderful. From the baking, to the coffee, to the sandwiches, you won't be disappointed! Mandatory snack break between Calgary and Banff!
Fabulous pastries
Breakfast worth every penny. French music with a very tasty French baguette. La douce France next to the 3 Sisters.
Great food and coffee. I haven’t tried their bakery but it all looks good. Nice view.
Amazing food
Ham and butter baguette!!!!!
Best croissants this side of Paris!
Yum yum yum yum yum
My favorite stop every time I'm in Canmore
Friendly and helpful staff. Such good coffee. Just the way I like it. Strong with creamy froth done right. The raspberry danish was delish. It has a bit of almond paste under the tart/sweet raspberry goodness that gives it a little something special. I give it 4 stars because the almond croissant filling was a tad sweet for my liking and the prices are a tad high. Though I understand why. The quality is fab. Will go back. A lot.
The raspberry filled Danish pastry was a revelation; I almost regret trying at is i have never seen one before and must now live my life lamenting its loss!
100% worth it. Everything I bought was delicious and now that I know this place exists, I would honestly have breakfast here every day if I could. It's definitely a bit pricey, but for what you get - yes yes yes.
Excellent bread. Baguette sandwich is crunch outside, chewy inside, tasty dressing. Pastry was generally fantastic. Very expensive though.
Rude staff, have asked me to leave the store with a stroller or leave a stroller outside... I had with me my 3 years old son and 5 months baby. They were only one other customer in the store at the time, who was leaving.
Excellent. Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. My hot cross buns were amazing.
(Translated) Wonderful bakery- their eclair fraomboise-pistachios, pastries & Baguettes are phenomenal (Original) Wonderful bakery- their eclair fraomboise-pistaches, pastries & Baguettes are phenomenal
Awesome fresh baked brekkie ????
This is the best bakery in the Banff/Canmore area. It’s a real taste of french pastries. Try the blueberry danish - you won’t be disappointed.
It was awesome. I didn't notice they had sandwiches on the menu as I was just looking at the yummy baked goods!!
Amazing. Some of the best food I’ve had in a while! The perfect breakfast. So good I had to get more. Thank you!
A favourite and must stop when going to the Banff or Canmore area. Fantastic coffee, reminiscent of good strong European coffee. Always tasty sandwiches and their desserts and impossible to resist.
Just witnessed the staff tell a group of moms they couldn't bring their baby strollers inside! I have eaten at this place for years but what I saw today made me sick! The moms had to leave strollers outside the shop! I will never dine at this place again! That is disgusting way to treat people with babies! As a dad myself this makes me very angry!
Awwwwwwwesome chocolatines! Seriously, I cannot start my day without one when I visited Banff! Bread is excellent too! Kindly staff, thanks!!!
Good french bakery and have wonderful, well decorated cakes. But, very slow service, not clean tables.
The best french pastries in the valley. Period
Everything here was delicious
Coffee and baked good are excellent . 2nd best coffee iv ever had and i travel lots
Great Coffee! Rude staff (Surprising for Canada, since everyone has been extremely kind so far). 5 stars none the less
Sooo fantastic, fell in love with their americano, and the pastries had me drooling.... So we tried three.. Tee hee
Just a great way to start the day with fresh pastry.
When I’m in Canmore this is a must . Been going for years and never disappoints.
Their almond croissant is to die for. Amazing quality
Their croissants and baguettes were amazing. Very fresh, very authentic tasting. Like a typical Parisian cafe. Definitely worth checking out.
Amazing pastries and sandwiches! 100% recommend
Le fournil's our must-stop when we go to the mountains. They have pastries and special creations that are just works of art - visually and taste-wise. We always leave with happy taste buds and tummies!
Good food. Very nice people.
Always a great experience. Food & coffee are amazing!!!
Yummy!
Delicous Jenna! Absolutely yummy!
Their coffee is so delicious! I got the beans and gave them to my friends as gifts and they loved it too. I couldn't enjoy their baked goods but my partner absolutely loved their sandwich. Can't wait to go back and enjoy their baked goods :)
Bakery is really good, however there customer service is really bad, the employees were very rude, and i believe they were gossiping when my girl friend and I ordered the chefs special breakfast. Not sure if it was racially motivated, but it sure felt that way.
(Translated) The ham and butter are excellent (Original) Les jambon beurre et les croissant sonr excellent
Absolutely amazing croissants and desserts. I would recommend
Pastries were amazing and worth the price! Jasmine tea was average. Wish this place had more fancier tea selection to go with their incredible pastries.
Pretty cool little bakery, worth checking out and getting a nice snack!
Friendly service combined with excellent Danish, croissants and baguette made for a fantastic breakfast !
(Translated) Very delicious pastry, the place is simple, ideal for breakfast and lunch. (Original) 十分美味的糕餅,地方簡潔,很理想的早 午 餐飲地方。
Love, Love, Love this place....
Great food. The ham sandwich is amazing. Simple ingredients, but the best ingredients. Ham, butter and French bread... That's it but the best ham sandwich you have ever eaten.
It's sooooooooo good
croissants sold out early in the morning. we had other denish instead which is good also. coffee is ok. but serves hot coffee only
Excellent croissants.
Cappuccino was soo good and so was their Americano. Other friends ordered mocha latte and were not quite impressed. They do not have regular drip coffee which was lil weird. They run out of their goodies pretty quick so would recommend visiting early in the morning. Service could have been bit better. View outside was lovely!
Crunchy, fresh baguettes, delicate cakes, and an attentive staff make this bakery and coffee shop truly shine. Very reasonable prices (CAD) and efficient service. Indoor seating is limited, but clean and well-lit. Plenty of nearby parking. Highly recommended!
Stopped by this french bakery in Canmore after being recommended by a friend. My husband and I had an Americano, banh mi, ham and butter baguette, and dessert for about $35. Best banh mi we've ever had! The pate, sauce and bread were all so delicious. The dessert was also so beautiful and just as delicious. Pleasantly surprised with how tasty everything was.
Great little euro style bakery. We were looking for a non chain place to eat breakfast, that was perfect! Finally bread and pastries not wrapped in plastic wrap.
My first stop in canmore for french pastries and bread; reminds me of france, the quality is there and i can vouch for its authenticity !
The most amazing fresh baking and special treats, and the coffee is tops too!
Lovely quaint french bakery authentic extrodinaire
Expensive but delicious pastries and coffee!
Le fournil was a very pleasant surprise at the end of a 2-week trip to Jasper. We stopped here for a quick breakfast on our way back to Calgary. The layout and setup of the store front was done very well to promote physical distancing with the staff and other customers. The food was absolutely delicious - I ordered a turkey sandwich, and a croissant. The bread was fantastic (very fresh!), perfect level of crispiness, but not hard enough to hurt when taking a bite around the crusty edges. The price was a little on the higher end, but given the quality of the food and beverages, I think it's definitely worth it. Probably not a spot to go for an everyday coffee and sandwich, but a nice treat once in a while.
Just amazing. A must stop if you are visiting. The bakery is delicious and the coffee is the best in town.
I only tried the pain du chocolate and the framboise pistashe eclair but they were both amazing! I wanted to go back and stock up before leaving, but they were closed on Family day. There are lots of pictures on Google of French toast and quiche, but the only thing on their menu is sandwiches, which I did find disappointing.
Best treats and bread in town!
Outstanding flavors in Canmore. The quiche Lorraine (though, tiny and expensive) was the best one for me.
Bakery- excellent! And coffee- really bad, sour bitter with after taste to hard get rid off. It’s shame that they have LaMarzocco machine that produces great coffee but stuff is clueless on hot to operate it
I always stop in after a massage. I forgot my reusable coffee cup and I’m super eco conscious so I was pleasantly surprised to find they serve their to go coffee in paper cups which might not even register with most people but that’s super important to me. This along with the absolute deliciousness of their baked goods (chocolatine ...YUM!) make me love this place. Growing up next to Quebec and having gone to university in Montreal, the lovely French music and overall atmosphere is lovely and a little nostalgic for me! Keep doing what you’re doing Le Fournil <3
The tartelettes au citron meringuees were incredible. Very friendly staff as well!
Interior is really simple and nice, but they dont need anything over the top, cause you only have eyes for freshly baked goods and superbeautiful cakestand. Had some macaroons and a chocolate cake to go as well chai latte. If you are in town for some really good pastries then definately go check them out. I know I am going back as I need to taste every cake they have!
Last winter I left the Trans Canadian to stop in here most weekends to pick up a couple of ham sandwiches for myself and my two young boys on our way to the ski hill and again on the way home to pick up a coffee with macaroons. They would cut one of the sandwiches in half for my boys to share. This winter my wife is returned to skiing from her knee injury and so I was excited to introduce her to Le Fournil Bakery in Canmore a couple of weeks ago with the plan of buying 3 ham sandwiches between the 4 of us. They refused to cut one of the sandwiches in half stating that it is their new policy never to cut sandwiches that are take out, regardless as to whether or not the customer has made such a request. I explained the reason for requesting one of the sandwiches to be cut. The manager/owner came out of the kitchen which I thought would result in common sense being applied; sadly not. Having worked in food retail, I simply don't believe in the expression, "le client est toujours raison", however, the way that we were treated on this occasion is at best idiotic and at worst rude and demonstrates a degree of contempt. Rather embarrassing having bigged-up this establishment to my wife only for her to experience incredibly poor service on her very first visit. Please could the owner demonstrate a little more consideration towards children who might wish to eat the lovingly prepared food. For those people on their way through to LAKE LOUISE, there is an AMAZING DELI serving fresh salads, sandwiches, delectable pastries and beautifully hand crafted petits gâteaux and flavourful coffees at the FAIRMONT HOTEL by the edge of the lake. Their staff are always friendly, prices are surprisingly lower than you might expect for the high quality AND they will cut a sandwich in half for your young children if you ask.
Great pastries and coffee
A little piece of heaven dropped into the Bow Valley! Wonderful people, a cozy venue, and food that is out of this world. Gotta go!
Delicious viennoiseries and wonderful staff in a beautiful and cozy space. Will be back to try the bread, pastries, and lunch.
Delicious and friendly staff
I stopped in at this place on my drive to BC. The pastries were delicious and were not too sweet. My latte was good too. The sandwiches were awesome and I love that they come with fruit or a salad. It was reasonable and decently healthy. The only reason I give this place a 4/5 instead of 5/5 is that they had a new girl on that forgot to send our sandwich order to the chef so needless to say we waited a bit longer than the average customer for the food, but when it arrived it was delicious.
(Translated) Bread and dessert cabinets make people's eyes bright, The store is not large, there are many seats, and it feels crowded to sit down. Everything except the seats is great, The kind staff impressed me. (Original) 麵包、甜點櫃讓人眼睛為之一亮, 店內不大,座位多,坐下來感覺很擁擠。 除了座位,其他一切都很棒, 員工親切的讓我印象深刻。
Amazing food and extremely professional staff. On Saturdays they have the best baguette with figs and cheese. If you are in Canmore, make sure you go there for breakfast.
Delicious baked items and bread. Coffee was great. A bit pricey.
Pricey (remember this is Canmore), but very tasty. Love the desserts, croissants and bread.
The tastiest bakery in Canmore. Highly recommended! Jambon Fromage is my favourite!
Beautiful bread, pastries and light lunch meals. Blueberry maple bread was delicious. Will be stopping in again before we leave Canmore.
Love this spot. Great pastry and bread!
Pretty much everything they bake are extra ordinary
Most amazing chocolate cake!
Fantastic espresso coffee and pastries, great menu selection and ambience.
Fabulous food. Excellent coffee. Cheerful owner. Light airy interior. Small sunny patio. Food to eat in or to go.
Excellent espresso latte, croissant, pastries are just perfect! excellent tasty desserts.. didn’t try the sandwiches, some other time. Going forward this will be stop over when heading west !
Good food.
Lovely French bakery !
Success, sometimes makes you less dedicated! They open only some days of the week. Consequently the pastry was few days old. Priced as regular. Reduced selection of bread& pastry, curb serving only, while there is a huge green area that can be used for table serving. Not the same place I knew in fall. Prices still high quality low .
lovely food! wonderful customer service. Amazing desserts
Pro: Good food. Delicate, delucious. Friendly service. Cons: Do not accept AMEX
Amazing for breakfast, highly recommend!
Delicious bread and pastries!
Amazing croissants!
I am a big fan of Le fournil. We stop in every time we visit Canmore. The dessert, bread and sandwiches are all excellent. The coffee is a bit too dark roasted for my taste. But that is fine. The reason I gave a 4 out of 5 rating is because the service level is mediocre. Sometimes the service will be good, but I find most of the time it is not that great. For example, this past weekend I got mouldy raspberries with my lunch. When I approached a staff member about this, she shrugged it off and did not address it. For the price point of this bakery, I would not expect to receive mouldy berries or have that response from a staff member. I am disappointed.
This is a great little bakery. The ham and butter sandwich is my favorite. Simple and perfect. I would stop here every time I'm in Canmore.
Amazing croissants and pastries. The bread is good too. And the staff is friendly.
Great selection of baked treats. The quiche was awesome with great flavor, perfect consistency, and a nice flakey crust! Bought sandwiches to go and they were delicious! Can't wait for my next visit!
The few things I've tried were amazing
Almond croissants are amazing, but get there early because they sell out fast...
If you are looking for something special, this is the place. My wife says the coffee is good too.
This is what pastry should be. Awesome little shop, really good coffee and incredible staff.
Great little place. Pricey but worth it.
Excellent baked goods. Expensive but worth it.
Modern and cute breakfast spot that we enjoyed while in Canmore. Twice because the carrot cake was to die for, simple Not extremely sweet, made to perfection cake. Their display of goods was extremely neat and attractive. Mocha coffee a must! Pricey but worth it. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
Hot diggity, fancy French pastries in Canmore. The breads are the real deal too. A small breakfast and lunch menu is available, and there are take away baguette sandwiches for those on the go.
What self proclaimed bakery doesn't have full size birthday cakes and then seems surprised when we asked for a birthday cake!!!!
The breads and pastries here are delectable. Excellent coffee as well. As close as Canmore gets to an authentic taste of france.
Fine coffee and delicious pastries.
Omg this is a must stop when traveling. My sister inlaw recommended it and im so glad she did.. amazing food
Such an awesome little bakery. Stopped here when visiting form out of town and had a very delicious croissant for breakfast. Friendly staff and yummy food. Would definitely go back here again!
(Translated) Good quality and original menu (Original) Bonne qualité et menu original
Excellent premium quality bakery. I had the sandwich of the day which was awesome. A little more expensive than your average bakery but the produce is at a much higher grade. If you are after premium bakes goods don't miss it!
The shop is very simple, all the focus goes to the wonderful pastries. There are so many choices, but the staff is very friendly and will talk you through which goodie is right for you.
Great French-style baguettes (simple is hard to beat: try the ham and butter classic). Elegant baked goods ---incl eclaires with various fillings--- that I wish I could just have tried all.
Great French café in Canmore. Fantastic bread, amazing pastries, and excellent lunch options.
deliciously decadent
The deserts here are to die for.... We walked in and had to order 1 of everything to go. Can't even say what was our favourite!! Great service !
Best bakery in town!
Unfriendly and confrontational owner sitting in the corner being the mask police. Barked at me to make sure my 5 year old daughter’s mask was all the way up over her nose. Horrible vibe from the woman in the corner. Staff serving the pastries were nice enough, but it doesn’t make up for being confronted for not being “perfect” when you walk in attempting trying to have a nice date with your daughter. I’ll be telling everyone to avoid this place if you want to be allowed to be human.
Delicious! Everything from pastries to sandwiches. The French bread is crusty and meat very quality! Beautiful and delicious. Had to eat here everyday (4 days straight) pick up sandwiches for a hike and morning coffee. Eclair so delicious. Can’t wait to come back.
Very good!
Almond crossaint is really good
Delicious bread, pastries are light and crispy. The chocolate croissant has just the right amount of dark sweet chocolate in the middle. Recommend the turkey and raspberry sandwich. Chai lattes are pretty good, but they aren't anything different than buying the Starbucks chai mix at Costco and mixing it with some warm milk at home.
We visited early in the morning before heading to Banff. Amazing chocolate and almond croissants and coffee to kickstart the adventure. The staff was very friendly and efficient as well.
The soup and a fig and blue cheese baguette were delicious.
Great breakfast place. French style bakery with French speaking staff. Nice pastries, European style and tasty too. Nice atmosphere.
Review is only for Pain au jambon/fromage (Ham/cheese croissant) Extremely small, pinky finger size, of ham inside the croissant. The croissant texture was quite dry. Definitely not recommend to try it. Unsure about other items. Everything looks good and presentation very pretty.
Owner sitting in the corner barking at 5-year old customers about putting mask over the nose. Unfriendly and nasty. Seriously needs to learn a thing or two about allowing a mother and daughter to have a nice outing to the bakery. My daughter is exempt anyway, and after she confronted us we just took her mask off completely. Probably won’t be going back. Owner needs to assume that people have REASONS for the things they do, and live and let live. Just trying to have a nice girls date with my daughter and now I’ve got a bad taste in my mouth because of how rude she was.
Absolutely love this place best pastries in town ❤️
I'm not an OMG person but OMG, this place is amazing!! Excellent French style bakery with a serious chef! The chocolate eclair was over the top with gold flakes! The bread was excellent and I could have taken 5 baguettes for later. I also had the omelette on a croissant and the croissant was buttery and flaky and delicious! Coffee was also top notch. They also sell fancy oils.
We were looking for a nice breakfast place that we could also get some sandwiches for a picnic and this was perfect! We had the ham and cheese croissant and denoise selée for breakfast with a fruit tart and denoise blueberry for a treat. All of it was delicious and reminiscent of bakeries in France. The Americano Misto is an Americano with milk and it was very good. I had the traditional small hot chocolate which was a very rich and delicious. Our picnic items was a vegetarian sandwich, an omelette sandwich and macarons. Can't wait to try everything. Sitting down in the cafe offers some beautiful view of the mountain and they offer outside seating as well. The decor inside is simple and elegant. We will definitely be returning.
The Dinde et canneberge sandwich was probably the best sandwich Ive ever had. The bagette was perfect. Everything was perfect. Delicious. My new go-to for Canmore food
Decadent treats
Excellent pastry's, baking in general, and coffee. The staff can be a bit abrupt, but don't take offense, they are just VERY busy.
Incredible food. Best quiche Loraine I have ever had.
The pistachio eau Claire was incredibly delicious.
(Translated) Very rich sweets and crusty bread, the menu of the day is always very gourmet, it includes salad and soup. This is a French chain present in several countries of America, including Chile (Original) Muy ricos dulces y pan crujiente, el menú del día es siempre muy gourmet, incluye ensalada y sopa . Ésta es una cadena francesa presente en varios paises de América, incluido chile
Absolutely incredible fresh made french delicacies
They promoted vegetarian dishes - yet when we asked them to cut the sandwiches with a non-meat cutter, they would not oblige. The chef was brusque and surly. Definitely not the Canadian welcome we are so used to.
We were in Paris a year ago and thought we had the best Almond croissant ever. Nope this place in Canmore has the world's best Almond croissant!!! The ham and cheese croissant was amazing too. We purchased a 50$ gift card for our friends who got married that weekend. Can't wait to come back! Make sure there are Almond croissant's for us!! Thanks again! Oh PS.. the lights were a bit dusty and floor could have been swept. Was there at 8:30am. Update, have been there at least 3 more times and the place was clean and food still amazing. Cappuccino was delicious :) still 5 stars.
Great Decor and clean. Baked goods are well presented and it taste good. I had some chocolatine to go but next time I am probably going to dine in.
A smidge tyrannical, but sublime pastry and coffee (so my mate says). The almond/chocolate combo pastry is out of this world: flaky, buttery, custardy addictively great.
Magnificent. Thats all that needs to be said.
Love this place! I go every week for sour dough and croissants. My favourite is the almond croissant. Everything is made from scratch. You can taste it in each product. Pascal and her team are so lovely and provide fast and pleasant service. This place is a must in Canmore!!
Delicious pastries and sandwiches, very very authentic and delectable products. A little on the pricey side but worth every $.
Cheese and carrot cake are phenomenal. Not no mention they have other goods that will give you a grin to start the day.
Amazing service and food so beautiful that you wont want to take bite. Once you DO take a bite you wont want to stop. If you are visiting Canmore you MUST visit here
Beautiful gem with delicious treats
Top quality food for an affordable price, highly recommend
Awesome baguettes, croissants, and other French baking and pastry.
