5 Stars +! Living in a small town can be a challenge in terms of provisions and service. This branch of Home Hardware is the best in town and one of my all time favourite hardware stores. Staff are first and foremost, informed and happy to share advice, experience and insight. They are alert and looking to help their customers. When the product is not no the shelf, they will order it in and phone you when it arrives. If it doesn't fit or is incorrect, they will accept the return. This is a top-notch business!

Small town hardware store. Has household cleaners, small hardware and plumbing items, camping stuff, kitchen ware. Good parking available but note it's not accessible from the Save on foods parking lot. No bedsheets or water toys when we stopped by. Products change from time to time we are told...these items are hit and miss.

I visited the paint department here and was pleaseantly surprised with the layout and great selection of both paint and sundrie items. Also custom color matching.

I have always loved shopping at Home Hardware. I used to be able to find the item that was just right and that no other store had, but since Canadian Tire arrived in Canmore, HH gave up and said they couldn't compete, and so much stock in the Home Hardware store was cut back. All the regularly needed items can found (paint, screws, plumbing, cleaning supplies, kitchen stuff), but the items that you want to see that are different from any other store have to be obtained through the catalogue, if you have the time. It is no longer the browsing experience that I used to enjoy. What made Home Hardware unique cannot be found in Canmore. For me, it's lost a lot of its charm.

Every time I walk into this place, there’s a friendly staff member ready and willing to help me find something. One certainly doesn’t experience this at the box stores in large cities.
