Carries a wide selection, however I haven't found the name 'Buy-Low Foods' to be reflective of the prices. Shopping at No Frills, Superstore, Sobey's, or Wal-Mart is still less expensive for the same/similar product, with a few exceptions. Don't forget to check expiry date labels on refrigerated, perishable products.

The cake is disgusting, normal cakes are in the freezer and when you eat them it's soggy and a little bit frozen. the box sushi is good Also the workers don't properly pack the bags, they put the cinnamon buns sideways instead of on the bottom and it gets all sticky in the bag. This has happened with more than one employee. But they are very nice.

Excellent cleansliness, floors are clean. Above average organized goods on shelves, if there is a damaged good you can inform an employee. Employees are polite when asked a question and have great customer service. Check out is easy, and more cost efficient if you bring your own reusable bags in. Bags are now 5 cents each. Prices tend to be expensive, due to shipping costs and being in a small town. This is a local business, I have shopped here for many years and my personal experience is that they have great customer service for the years I have been coming in. This business has been here since the time I have been living in Hope, BC and I have to say I am proud to have this as my local grocery store.

It's been a couple years since I've been there, but always have a soft-spot for this place! I hope it never disappears. I've always looked forward to doing a grocery run when we visit Hope (and I"m a person who hates shopping otherwise! lol). It's a small-town store, a little bit of everything, and I do mean that - it's not lacking. They even have a surprisingly decent selection of gluten-free items which is important to someone like me, with a sensitivity. Another review nailed it - it's "cozy". Reminds me of an old-time store, and I just love it!

I sooo wished that whom ever owns this store when they first opened up wouldn't of competed with family foods (iga) prices. They are extremely high and when I first heard a buylow was coming here I got excited cuz it'd mean we'd have a store with reasonable prices. But nope. They decided to go the scummy route and gourge blackfalds people with inflated prices to match iga. I would've made this my goto store in blackfalds had they of had real buylow store prices. Like the one in Lacombe for example. Produce is nice, and the store layout is pretty easy to navigate. It just really bums me out that they didn't compete with red deer store prices. Probably would've drawn in the surrounding towns folk aswell.

This is such a neat little store in Hope, so well organized, with the friendliest staff! The produce is fresh, the meat is well laid out and the buns are soft! For such a small location there is a good selection of different items so you don't have to choose the same thing every visit. Also they have competitive prices on their products, not too expensive so a nice place to shop! I recommend stopping at Buy-Low for your groceries in Hope!

Nice selection and one can pretty much find all the options needed really.quality of goods is reasonable except for baked food including bread that I don't find on tastier side however store layout is nice and wonderful selection of imported jams and pickles is irresistible. The only reason I am trolled form going there is attitude of some of the staff specially younger ones who just want to rush you out when you are at till ...despite of carrying my own bags I never ever get asked if I want one but literally get obliged with one ...very frustrating when you are trying to do your tiny bit towards larger goal of preserving the environment. Please educate your team members. I live most of the people working towards the back of store...very easy going and friendly happy people. Perhaps a reward program to encourage customers to reuse bags and reducing usage would be a better step than trying to achieve faster check out process ...

In Salmon Ar, the buy low is ALWAYS way lower prices. No idea why these guys can't do that. Have to travel to superstore every week in Chilliwack instead. And we buy at least 1000 a month in items. You need to be focused in this store. Always count your change. There are multiple techniques used by cashiers here, one is to give you a change from a supposedly smaller bill, as if we were in Mexico. For example, you pay with a $100 bill, they may attempt to give you a change from a $50 as happened to me today. Management is thieving, too, by advertising something such as apples at a good price with a large sticker, while at checkout you may pay a higher price. I live in this town and I know the situation. Many tourists don't, and the situation is much worse on Saturdays when people buy liquor in a nearby store. There are 2 food stores in this town. I must say that the other store is not without its problems either. Best to stay alert and focused when you buy stuff. Check your receipt and change. Most of the damage is probably done to non-suspecting tourists in transit through town.

Everything was extremely expensive it was like I was shopping at a 7/11. Produce was ridiculous for the wilted remnants of yard waste called produce. Deli meats were outrageous so I had to go to the cheap stuff. Wow.... Even that was crazy high..... Staff was very friendly and courteous

Clean, well designed grocery store so it gets 2 stars. If you want a cheaper option than the IGA, sorry to inform that Red Deer and Lacombe are still your only option. There were a couple sale items that were reasonable but not worth the effort. This place will never see me do a full grocery shop at these prices. The owners/managers were on site for opening day and not one hello, or even a smile. This isn't a local store in my eyes. It's another money hungry outlet owned by greed. No Frills, I guess your still my number 1.
