Brianna runs a business that does not just provide incredible sausages, rich bacon and fantastic service; but which embodies the lost old world charm of having a passionate butcher who goes out of her way to provide the exact cuts you wish in the way you want them prepared. She is a well spring of knowledge and is always cheerful and ready to help with suggestions and information. If you are passionate about good meat to make great food, you have to make the trek to Vessel Meats and talk to Brianna. The prices are not exorbitant, but also not cheap. I do feel that they are excellent value for the quality of meat and for access to someone with the customer first mindset that Brianna embodies.

Hands down the best butcher shop around. The quality of meat here is 2nd to none. The shop is very well done, and super clean. It really has the old style butcher shop vibe, but in 2020. The staff are very knowledgeable, have excellent customer service and know what they’re doing when it comes to the meat business. 10/10 would recommend. Can’t wait to return.

I was used to seeing them at the Alderney Farmers Market... and heard they were opening a shop in Dartmouth.... Today I went looking and was SO excited to see Vessel Meats in their own shop! If you like meat... this is the place to go. They are a super friendly bunch... have a far reaching knowledge of their craft, and do it right!!! Great variety of quality meats and all local. I had, amongst other things tonight, their pickle sausage. A new family farourite! Can't wait to go back for more! A happy day!

She always has surprising new sausages in the display cabinet that I want to try, and her ground beef makes the BEST burgers I have ever made. If you call she will cut you special cuts of meat. Its probably the best meat shop I've been to to date. Beautiful cuts of beef, pork, chicken. House made sausages, burgers. But my favourite is the in house smoked bacon. Its a tad pricey but worth every penny and then some.

Definitely love this place. Great products, great staff. Preorder some beef tongues and they are so fresh and delicious. Love the sausages there and the smoked bacon too. Can't wait to stop by on a Friday and have one of the sandwiches.

Had a chance to check these guys out today. They are super friendly, the place is very clean and the meats are spectacular. One thing I really like is they will tell you about the meat, how to best cook it and what it pairs well with. I bought the wagyu burgers and no word of lie these were the best burgers I have ever had. Not ever made, ever had. Go in and see for yourself, Dartmouth just landed a gem as this is easily the best butcher in The HRM.
