It's so nice to have a store like this where you can buy fresh produce and excellent meat for a price that normal hard-working people can afford. When you can buy a 5lb bag of carrots for 0.77, it's very hard to support the local grocery stores due to the fact that they are making triple the profit. Keep up the great work GateWay... you have the great staff to go with your great store too. Can't wait for my weekly trip. :)

So many good things to say about here. First off, I never get boneless, skinless pork chops cheaper than here. It's always a little over $6 for a large family pack. My kids LOVE the donair dippers here. The meat is a little spicy, and are full of meat! We put them in the air fryer and get them nice and crispy! Sometimes you get 2kg for $10, other days they are $15. Everything is pretty fresh and cheap here. They always have a variety of things on sale, and the workers are friendly and pleasant to deal with! I always love shopping here. The food is great quality and cheaper than anywhere else usually.

It's a small place organized to get you in and through one way and out. Well thought out so the traffic is one way inside and the pricing for everything there is set to buy for both bulk and small needs. The service is as is dont bother the staff loading shelfs prices are set and advertised on shelves and packaging. You are there for a good deal you will get a good deal on very basic food items, meats are the best deal although there is other options for the non meat lovers such as fruit's and veggies. This is a quick an I mean quick dont stand around looking at what you might like place.(know what you like before pondering) All in all you will get your money worth your buy when you shop here.

Great prices at the cost of minimal selection. Crowded as the layout makes it easy to pass the first ⅓ of the store quickly, but the ⅔ of the store has ½ the product selection and is backed up with the registers. The last ⅓ of the store is baked goods and freezers, and always part of the checkout line.

Gateway is awesome. While sometimes a pain in the butt to get into the parking lot, your shopping experience more than makes up for it. From start to finish, there is a steady flow to the way everything is laid out, no nonsense, easy to reach, everyone just knows how to get into the flow and you're in and out in less than 10 minutes. Even on the busiest of days. No joke. The deals are impressive too. We paid $60 for two weeks worth of fresh food. Gateway is my favourite place to shop.

We found that this place had comparatively lower prices on meat and vegetables than other grocery stores, which can be tough to find in Nova Scotia. Wading through the crowd in this tiny shop on a Saturday morning was definitely worth it for the prices - filled our cart full :)! Great place to get frozen raw meat for our dog too. Well where do I start, Ok so I just walked out of Gateway sitting in my car in the parking lot writing this review Stores are supposed to be operating at 25% capacity. There are 36 people in here that I counted. No one was social distancing, people reaching over carts of other people People are right on top of others. This is why we get high numbers of covid because this is being allowed. It's horrible. I will never be back at this store. Shame on this business for not following protocol. And btw 36 people is way over their capacity 25%.

I agree there is great prices but the greed of this location is what bothers me on a few levels. First, not closing on November 11th, do they really need the business that bad? Secondly, not following social distance guidelines. I was in store this past Sunday, 29 November and people were not adhering to social distancing guidelines, store management itself not really controlling number of people in store - at least 25 in store when I was present. It seems it is all about the money at this location.

But you have to get there quickly or else suffer the risk of the item being sold out. We drive all the way from Halifax and even then it is worth it. Highly recommend giving this place a visit.

We go often and usually spend well over $100. Most of the staff are great but there is one lady that grinds on my last nerve. I complained to the mgr and she saw me talk to her and for the first time ever told me to have a good day and see you next time. I said maybe and she said what is wrong so i told her. She is always very abrupt and rude and I am tired of it. Today she made me feel like i was trying to steal something. There are 2 things in this life that you do not accuse me of and that is being a liar or a thief. Dont know if I will go back.

Gateway Meat Market is a must stop for me when I'm grocery shopping. Once a week I get an email advertising that week's sales; and their sales cover not only meat but also include a wide variety of fruit, vegetables, condiments, and deli items. Today I stopped in to buy chicken. I left with 4 large trays of chicken; 2 trays of fresh thighs and 2 trays of leg quarters. I paid only $10.69 - the cost of one tray in most grocery stores. That's why I shop at Gateway.
