Local meats, gluten free fish cakes, awesome sandwiches. I was only able to have a sandwich as we were traveling and unable to refrigerate the meat offerings but boy, did they look amazing! I believe some stuff is locally sourced.

Great old-school butcher shop with an emphasis on local suppliers. The owner is usually there, willing to answer questions and ensure quality control is maintained. Wide selection of products. Always make a point of stopping in when we're near Tatamagouche.

Disappointed. Came for duck breasts and every one in the case had the skin removed. I asked why and was asked if I had ever plucked a duck. Apparently its too much bother and it just easier to remove the skin. I have been buying duck breasts for a.very long time and this is my first time it have been told this. The skin is important to keep the lean breast meat from drying out as it cooks. Service was borderline rude.
