I have been using Shawn for years for many different items. Domestic animals like cow's and pigs and also for my wild game. He makes awesome ham jerky and sausages. His hot dogs and bologna are real good too. I also like that I don't get nickled and dimed here. I left the last ace as they charged a premium for cutting and wrapping and still charged for bone and scrap disposal As a fun side note I had some ham made from a bear a couple years ago and it was probably the best ham I had ever eaten.

Shawn made up for my late order. I don't live in G. P. MY BF and I pre ordered 4 days in advance. I go pick it up with my sister to find that the guys were busy to get this done. Leaving empty handed, I tell my Bf what happened, he calls upset. Once Shawn heard we travelled 3 hours and leaving empty handed is very upsetting our main reason was to stock up while in G. P, Especially when our community is going full force lockdown due to Covid 19. Shawn told us to pop by before we head out the next day. We stopped by and he gave us a good selection for a great deal. Thank you Shawn!

I wasn’t going to leave a review, but after spending 6+ hrs repacking 800lbs of moose, figured it was warranted. The good: They were nice folks, easy to work with and did me a favor by cutting and packaging two moose in 48hrs to get ready to drive it across country. They cut and packaged it like I requested. Their prices were very reasonable and got the meat back that I dropped off. The bad: We paid over $1000, a decent percentage of that for vacuum sealed meat to travel easier with and it not make a mess. When loading the meat I noticed several large roast bags were not sealed at all, just sitting in the bag, but didn’t make mention of it. 80% seemed sealed. Every single bag, every single one, was not actually sealed. I got it back and meat had partially defrosted (was expected and part of the plan). What was not part of the plan was every single bag was leaking and not sealed at all. It was a huge mess and am having to repackage every single package they did. The bags didn’t get torn or mishandled (even though a very very thin plastic bag), just weren’t sealed right to begin with. A huge pain, mess, and not what I paid for.

Had 3 steers butchered. Roasts were cut a few pounds too big and request for 1/3 stew vs 2/3 burger was missed. However burger is lean and all meat is beautifully wrapped and tagged. Facility was clean!

Great service. Very accommodating taking in game on weekends and later evening drop offs. Also good at having it cut and ready on short notice. Really fair pricing. Also, you get back your own meat for sure, which doesn't happen at H & M Meats in town. First time using them. Meet was cut great, well trimmed and deboned. Steaks were a little thin and they seem to error on only making steak and roast out of the very best cuts. Rest becomes burger. Next time we go there we will specify as much steak and roast as possible, guy can always grind later. Definitely will use them again.

I live on a tight budget so usually am stuck with large grocery store meat selection. Was told amazing things about Shawns so decided to go check. I spent $150 in meat and walked out with a ton of meat. Easily more than a months worth for me and my two kids. Have already tried now from my purchase, steak, roast, ground beef and smokies. Zero complaints. Packaging 10/10 Selection 10/10 Quality 10/10 Cost 10/10 You got a lifetime customer here now

Took a young bull moose in and it came back 80 percent hamburger and roasts and only 6 packages of steak and we asked for very little hamburger and when I asked about it he told me not to come again so I definitely won’t take anything there ever again
