I was looking for another local butcher, in my area, and someone suggested these folks. Ordered a freezer pack from them, and have not been disappointed yet. Especially with the steaks. Just about the nicest marble I have ever seen! The family that owns and works there are very friendly and they have an array of local products on their shelves to pair with you cuts, including a wonderful local mushroom company.

Stopped here to grab a Tomahawk steak for Father's Day and WOW, I was not disappointed. The service was SUPER friendly, made me feel like I was a regular even though it was my first time visiting. The steak was unbelievable, definitely one of the best I've ever had. Thanks in part due to the professional grilling tips they gave me. I will 100% be back here in the future. 10/10.

We found Popowich Meat Co just over a year ago. Always friendly and knowledgeable and the absolute best product that we've ever had - all from local farmers. They also support other local businesses by selling their products as well. Little Bear Gelato (delicious!), stuffed potatoes from Jenny's Delectables and the list goes on. Their safety protocols are excellent and we always feel safe going in to stock up for the week. An Edmonton gem!

This family owned butcher shop cannot be beat. They deliver fresh, high quality meats and other products. The friendly staff are eager to help with any of your needs. The owners Mike and Treena will cut your meat to order. Or just pick something from the wide variety in the display cases. Don't forget to check the selection in the freezers and fridges as well. We support local and Mike and Treena also bring in products from other local suppliers. We shop there weekly and think you should too. You will not be disappointed!

A great meat shop in the west end! Very knowledgeable and super friendly staff. The moment we walked in we were greeted promptly and were given some tasty sausage samples. The ribeye steaks are amazing as is the selection of fresh meat. Looking forward to trying the pizza stuffed chicken. I would definitely recommend Popowich Meat Company!

This is a great neighborhood butcher! They have a large selection of house cut meats to choose from, as well as some local brands of salsas, rubs, spices and chips. They are very reasonably priced and have a large assortment of prepped meat such as schnitzel, chicken cordon bleu, fresh sliced bacon and so much more. They are very knowledgeable in helping you with cool times and temperatures too, just ask! Definitely check this place out.

Mike and Treena are as local as you can get and this goes all the way back to the producers...they won't serve anything to your family that they wouldn't serve to their own. I have been buying meat here for a couple of months now, and I will never go anywhere else. The quality is excellent. Mike has done some custom cuts for me and they've been outstanding. They have the best veal chops I have ever bought. On Mike's advice I just did my first Flat Iron Steak. Fantastic. Another part of their business are the ready to eat items. They really know how to stuff a chicken breast or a pork chop. Plus sausages and stuffed mushrooms......you won't get this anywhere else. And Mike and Treena treat their customers like guests.

I live very close and have been meaning to check out. Got some fresh andouille and rosemary garlic sausages, also pork belly and some locally made salamis. The sausages were amazing as were the salami! Some of the best andouille ive ever had. The pork belly was beautifully cut and had a wonderful meat to fat ratio and im very excited to cook and devour it. Always happy to support local business and the owner was so kind and cheerful, will definitely be going back (those hudderite chickens looked very very good ????)

I'm extraordinarily particular - Popowich's is the absolute best in Edmonton. The selection is always top quality and they change up their ready-to-cook offerings often to keep them interesting, fun and, most importantly, delicious. You can't go wrong! Whether it's the dry rubbed striploins (perfect for the BBQ!), short ribs (amazing for braising!) or the various sausages and schnitzel (when comfort food is the craving!) - and hey have a great selection of sides from local producers to really round out your meal. 100/10 - LOVE THIS PLACE!
