I purchased an $80.00 prime rib roast on Christmas Eve to serve my family. It didn't have a best before date on the package but I cooked it that same night. When I opened the package the meat was discoloured... grey in some areas and smelled like fish. I had nothing else to cook so took my chances. All 5 family members got sick. I called the store and left a message with concerns and no one has replied in 4 days.

I have spent alot of money on the ribeye steaks they showcase at the front counter. I have to say that they have always been a great cut of meat and always very tender. I add a little salt and pepper to my steaks and they get cooked in between med and med rare. I also have won a potato vegetable tray from there and it was fantastic. They are knowledgeable people and have great service. They also have many more things to choose from. Kobi beef is one cut of beef that i want to try and.... BAM they have that also. Cant go wrong with this business. 2 THUMBS UP.

Sometimes I’ll grab a WEEK worth of meals from these guys, and every single one I’ve had so far has been a in huge proportion, which leaves you super full! I had the pleasure of checking out a fantastic butcher in Leduc today! Well worth the drive EDMONTON My freind has been shopping there for years and raves about the place often - it was my first time and boy was I so impressed! It was so welcoming from the moment we walked in the door - I believe the owner greeted us with fresh ribs that had just come out of the smoker!for all that were in the store at the time! Omg they were huge and soooo good! I’ve never experienced anything like that before! Very generous! I will never forget my visit! Friendly local butcher with competitive prices and a diverse selection of prepared meals, soups, seasonings, sauces, eggs, pies and even ground coffee. Roasts, steaks, brisket, pepperoni and jerkey too. Worth your time to stop and check it out. Be patient. Parking is a limited and tight.

I used to support this business as a local favorite. An extremely poor interaction with management forced me to find another butcher. Now I drive all the way to Darcy's in St.Albert. Discovering Darcy's opened my eyes to what quality actually is. I'm honest, not cruel, so 2 stars is fair.

Went here for the first time last week. I was looking for a brisket for a friend to smoke. I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice little meat market, with lots of other goodies. Baked goods, fresh produce, all at very reasonable prices. Bought a blueberry pie and it was amazing. The brisket was a fair price and was very good quality. I also bought some pepperoni, which was from an independent supplier, not Local Meats. When I tried it, it was awful. I called and spoke with the manager, and was told to bring it back and they would refund my money. He apologized and offered to refund, or exchange for some pepperoni made in house. I opted for the exchange. I was given 3 packages of their own pepperoni in various flavours. Being that I had only bought one of the other, I was very pleased. This first impression started off not so good, but ended up being a great experience and great customer service. I would definitely recommend Local Meats!!
