Great selection at this Red Deer butcher shop. They also have gluten free and dairy free options for old favorites. Delicious jerky. Friendly staff in this family run business. Highly recommended.

I purchased a tomahawk steak to cook over the campfire. The steak was one of the best steaks i have ever had!!! Paired with the beans was truly an amazing meal. Excellent staff, quality and service.

The best meat I've had so far during my visit to Alberta! Nice clean facility which makes you feel good buying from there. Parking spaces right in front for easy in and out. The plaza is easy to get in and out of as well.

Owners like to tell you everything is sourced in Alberta, 80% of products are not Alberta sourced, some including pork ribs are sourced from as far as Germany, but they'll still say it's local. Or their Wagyu beef bought under the table green discoloration and sold at rediculous markup.

Usually buy steaks from Costco but decided to try some from Hamels instead. Safe to say I won’t be purchasing any steaks or meat from Costco and going to Hamels for now on! Our steaks were fantastic!! Can’t wait to try more products

Out for a drive today on gasoline alley and discovered this gem of a meat market!! Friendly staff and family owned, Bob the manager gave us a personal tour of all his selection of beef, pork, chicken products! Whole cuts, slab bacon and more! Beautiful traditionally smoked ham, bacon, sausage and jerkies. I'm going back to buy my Christmas ham tomorrow!! Very Impressed with Hamels Meat Market!!

I discovered this business by accident and immediately turned in to the parking lot to see if it is the same Hamels Meats that is in Cold Lake and Bonneville, turns out it is. For those of you who are not familiar with the name Hamel's Meats, in north eastern Alberta the Hamel's Meats name rule the North East part of the province, this family produces the best meats bar none. The facility is brand new and their products are excellent. I bought Rib Steaks and their pepperoni, I told the lady who owns the business with her husband to get the pickled sausage they sell in Cold Lake, people will break the door down for their products, this place is awesome.

We stopped in to visit Sky at Hamels and ended up buying a freezer meal, sausage and beef jerky. My kids and husband went crazy over the beef jerky, we Really enjoyed the Alberta jambalaya, can’t wait to try the sausage. Would highly recommend, can’t wait to try other things next time we are in Red Deer <3
