Staff are all experts in the field and will educate you on the food you're purchasing from where it's from to the best cuts for what you're preparing. They'll even cut your meat for you! Seriously a must-visit if you enjoy quality food that isn't contaminated with who knows what like you'll find any big grocers.

Great place! Was looking for a speciality meat product called "suet". It's hard to find in grocery stores, and needed for a recipe. I called this shop - I think I spoke to one of the owners. She was very helpful and told me she'd put some suet aside for me. She explained that some restauranteurs come there quite a bit for suet. Will be coming back!

The only place I'll buy meat! Free range chicken- delicious. Alberta pork- never has a weird smell like some from grocery stores. And the steak... if you haven't tried AAA and 30 day aged, you're missing out. Definitely check this shop out!

Came in to buy tenderloin steaks as they have them listed as on sale on their website, was told by the girl behind counter they are no longer on sale. Showed her my phone that shows their website still has them listed as on sale and she said that is their online only pricing and they can’t do it in store. Rated 2 stars for decent selection of products in store but I didn’t buy anything. ** edit to respond to owner. I am not looking for hand outs or freebies I was in the store for several minutes after the employee told me that I would have needed to purchase online to get the online pricing and she had come back to talk to me after speaking to someone else I was never told at any point they would honour the online price. I was also with someone else who was shopping hence why I was in the store so long and she also heard the whole exchange. If I come in to a place I expect good service and won’t call or email to rectify a situation that in my opinion shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

I purchased half a bone in ham from D'Arcy's Meats in St. Albert and oven baked it for New Year's Day. The taste was AMAZING and it had a wonderful texture. And not salty like store bought hams. If you want to experience what a ham should really taste like - go to Darcy's - the staff is super helpful and the quality of their products is exceptional - the best meat market in St. Albert/Edmonton!!!

I was really impressed with their wide selection of speciality meats such as bison, elk, ostrich, camel, etc. Most commonly you’ll find only frozen options for speciality meets, bur D’Arcy’s had fresh ground elk, ground bison, and elk steaks. Everything was reasonable price. Standard market value. When I make a trip back to Edmonton I’ll definitely be returning.

Thank you so much for the help making our at home anniversary dinner very special. We were looking for the absolute thickest cut of tenderloin possible to sear and finish in the oven, and the special cut we got was so perfect. We scored a couple wild caught Alaskan King Crab legs to accompany the steak, and has great advice in how to prepare them as it was my first time ever making king crab. The quality, value and service were top notch, and we will be making more of an effort to continue to support this local business.

If I trust the raving reviews, maybe I should go in person to the shop. I ordered one of their freezer packs for the first time and it's a total disappointment. The meat is not the quality I want: the "lean" ground beef is fat with rubbery bits, the sirloin is stringy full of tendons...and who knows how old, theres no packing date on most items, aside from some sausages which are already 2 weeks old...

Always great meat! The freezer packs are quite big, and essential for feeding a family. They're always fine exchanging a few items in the freezer pack, so we get exactly what we like. They also have eggs from free-run chickens. I eat a lot of eggs, and free-run is a must, a perfect balance of fat, protein, cholesterol, unlike the grocery store eggs. If you don't know, just read The Primal Blueprint. Thanks for all the meat!

Phenomenal customer service! Emailed them as I believed I had an issue with my order delivery and got an immediate response after hours from the owner, to make sure I received my A5 Wagyu in time for my Anniversary dinner. Turns out I requested a porch drop delivery, but its standard practice to actually hand the meat directly to a person to ensure its not lost due to spoilage or porch thieves/animals.

EXCELLENT DEER SAUSAGE!!!!! I dropped off my deer for processing early november and received it within 2 weeks of drop off, I am very impressed with the fast and courteous service I received. Update - after posting my review below, D'Arcy's asked me to give them a second chance so they could remedy my opinion, which they did. Our second order had much better cuts and the garlic was decent. Took our moose here for butchering...nice young bull. I had to pay about 80% of the bill as a deposit, which is fine, but I wasn't told that when I first called to inquire about their services. After getting the moose out we brought it home and tried out the pepperoni and garlic - not impressed with either. The meat is too soft and chewy, and has ugly flavoring. Then the meat itself had to have been cut by an amature or a rookie because it's cut very poorly! The hamburger seems to be the only worthwhile packaged meat we brought home!! Dont waste your money bringing any wild game here - stick to domestic D'Arcy....

I used to be a huge fan of the pre-made meals on Fridays and Saturdays, as I could book ahead and pick up our dinners after work. Unfortunately, they've stopped allowing you to reserve the meals, and now by the time I get it's sold out. I'm going to stop trying I guess, since every time I show up I'm disappointed. It's not like COVID-19 makes people less likely to want to order ahead.

Our family tradition is to have a meat pie, french tourtiere, on Christmas Eve. For a number of years we've had great tourtiere purchased as part of a school fund raiser. Then we tried Sunterra, had one good one and then the next was terrible. We thought we would try D'Arcy's Meat Market a few weeks ago, before Christmas arrived. I'm sure the meats and other products D'Arcy's Meat Market sell are GREAT but don't bother with the tourtiere they sell. Whoever supplies D'Arcy's with their tourtiere makes a completely bland, tasteless meat pie devoid of any spices or flavor. Don't bother. By accident I found a tourtiere at another meat shop. Giving it a try for Christmas Eve, hopefully it will be a good one!

I love this shop and I love the selection. But the other day I observed a staff member pick up my shrimp from the cooler, then without changing, washing or sanitizing their rubber gloves, touch the cash register, the pin pad and handle all of my food. I went home and sanitized everything but I thought this was horrible hand hygiene and a real risk infection control issue, especially during these times and with handling seafood. I feel strongly that I need to mention this. This is why the rating is a 2. Please staff be aware of what you are doing.

What amazing service from D'Arcy's this Christmas! Asked if possible to have a meat box made up with various jerky's, pepperoni's, etc. - no problem - or course, they could do it! Wow... Took a chance at asking for a second box three days before Christmas as I thought it would make a good gift also - and again, no problem. The products are wonderful. Went in for bacon and eggs. Bought what I thought was bacon but it ended up being beef bacon.I thought it was a good concept so I gave it a try. Calling thinly sliced brisket with no curing or flavor is not right. All I could taste was the fat from the beef. I have had their other meat products before and they weren't bad. This "beef bacon" really turned me off.

The quality of the fresh turkey that we picked up from D'arcy's for Christmas was beyond compare. I'd love to write a raving review going from how carefully wrapped and detailed it was, to how perfect and delicious it turned out...but the actual reason for me writing this review is the service we received from the fantastic staff. In such strange and awkward times, the staff were helpful, organized, attentive, and polite, in spite of long queues, impatient holiday shoppers, and some terrible temperatures/weather. I never felt ignored, rushed, or inconveniencing even for how clearly constant the line was. Truthfully I couldn't have been more impressed with the service at the door, at the counter, and through checkout, even on a normal year...and we all know this is far from a normal year. D'arcy's ticks all the boxes for quality meats and products, but even if the quality hadn't hit those peaks, the staff would have my return business.

came here yesterday. quality is there and pricing is good. you feel like you are getting are excellent value. what really stood out to me was when i accidentally ordered the wrong cut of meat and they took it back no questions asked and i got what i wanted in the end. they were extremely nice to me and reassured me it was no problem. i felt so bad for wasting their time and meat by asking for the wrong cut but they really went above and beyond by making me feel not so horrible for making a mistake.

One thing about Darcy's is their quality, but I still did not like my treatment and the product. I found it way beyond liking, and I fell in love with them and in all aspects. If I only liked them, then I would be comparing it to some average and lower supermarkets, but because of their service and quality, you have to love them like I do.

High Quality Meats, Poor Customer Service To be honest it could be one of the best butcher shop in Edmonton, the taste of their meats are superb. However, the quality of the customer service for delivery order is super bad. 1. They changed the price from what they quoted me before I put my order (happened to me twice) 2. They don't give any confirmation whether they are received the order/ payment/ when to deliver unless you send them several emails which they responded super slow. Please, if you are not ready to have delivery order service don't do these kind of things. It is so frustrating.

My mother went and picked up a package of ground pork and ground beef on saturday for the first time, just fried them both up in different ways and they are both awesome! The quality is top notch and the flavors of the meat really shine, love that good ol grass fed beef taste, we will definitely be hitting up D'Arcy's more and more ????????????

Such a dishonest staff we got chicken this saturday and when I open the packet at home it was so bad Smelling filthy rotten,meat colour was almost yellow..They just sale the meat for the sake of earning some extra bucks not considering about the health of the customer.Never going back again this place.

Not impressed, bought 2 meat packs over $500. gave 1 to my brother 1 for myself . Beef roast were terrible and so were my brothers . Might as well eat a rubber boot. Pork roast were also disappointing at least half fat ridiculous. The rest was ok . That's why I gave 2 stars

Stopped by D’Arcy’s and picked up some Wagyu/Holstein cross strips for my sons birthday, excellent quality beef definitely worth treating yourself. Great service from the staff and a wide variety or products, we buy almost all our meat from butcher shops, and if I where local D’Arcy’s would definitely be our go to. Can’t wait for our next trip to Edmonton so I can stock up and maybe give the A5 a try.

Placed an order for a small turkey in the 12-15 lbs range and even received a confirmation number. On pick up day, they only had 20 lbs or larger turkey left. They didn’t offer a discount when I requested to make up the difference in not honouring my reservation size. If you can’t deliver, just say so and I would have gone somewhere else. Will not be returning to D’Arcy’s nor recommending to friends and family.

Poor quality service, possibly poor quality brisket. Edit: brisket is extremely freezer burned and missing a large portion of the point. The fat side is missing a large portion of the fat layer had has a lot of freezer burned meat exposed. Don't trust darcys to give you something of quality. We won't be going back.

Picked up a Waygu beef strip loin steak for xmas and a ribeye. Disappointed in the waygu steak, texture was the same as a Costco premium AAA steak and we could tell the difference from the ribeye and the Waygu. It wasn’t melt in your mouth experience and suspect it would have been less then A1 grade. At $180 for a 2” steak would have expected at lot more.

It’s not that hard to rate a business on how well they do on what they deliver in service and quality. That’s always an automatic 5 stars at Darcy’s. The real way to measure any business is actually on what they do when things don’t go right (This can happen to the best). In my case Darcys made a small mistake on an order. I went home and put the meat in the freezer and didn’t discover the mistake until a few weeks later then through the busy Christmas season I wasn’t able to get back to them until January. Their response was fantastic. They fixed me up far behind what could be reasonably expected. No fuss, no excuses just great service from Kathy the manager. Professional, friendly and over the top service! I will tell my friends!

The meat îs awesome. There might be a problem if you do not pay attention when they cut it. Make sure they cut the meat as you ask. I was asking for aged rib eye of 3/4" thickness and I got 1/2". Furthermore, I was reassured that the cut is as I asked. Don't take me wrong, it's still good meat, but I would've enjoyed it better if it was 3/4". The quality of the meat deserves 5 stars, no doubt. Sorry guys, I gave you only 4 just because of 1/4" missing.

I love this place! I get my beef jerky meat here and they always have great specials on steaks, fish, etc. Their organic free run Thanksgiving turkeys were awesome.
