My number one source for eggs and meat. Great quality local product at a reasonable price. Everyone from their staff is always friendly and pleasant to talk to. They have daily dinner and lunch specials of their local product being cooked in house... delicious!

Don’t let their sign on the storefront about prices scare you off. Their pricing is more than reasonable, especially for the quality they serve. Questions about what’s in their sausages, patties or rubs? No problem, they’re all made in-house and all the staff I talked to knew all about it. And then they shared recipes to make sure we got the most from our meat purchases. I love this place and I’m glad I found them.

Always enjoyed everything I bought at Charlie's!! Went in tonight and bought 100.00 worth of stuff and was yelled at and humiliated by one of the staff (she said she WAS Charlie's daughter) . Who, by the way, was preparing orders to go without a mask. I didn't enjoy the brisket I bought last night. I found it dry and almost like jerky. I was, merely providing my feedback, most business owners appreciate that. She immediately became defensive and turned the blame on me I think her yelling "Have a nice day" over the counter as I left was extremely unprofessional. But I see now, neither my opinion, nor my custom, is wanted. In reading other reviews, it appears that this is a pattern of behaviour. Sad. Charlie is a nice man who is good at what he does, too bad his daughter will run it into the ground for him.

I love Charlie's Place, delicious local high quality meats at fair prices, other treats like meat pies, different types of sausages. They also sell cabbage rolls but I haven't tried them yet. Check their hours they are not open Mondays and check their website and social media because they have days you can buy meals like ribs or brisket. Their service is quick kind and friendly. You can find soup bones because they are a real Butcher shop.

Just took home a surprisingly large amount of meat for a incredible price. Immediately bbqed some pork chops, paired it with Mike's back ribs, and some hot potato salad and honestly I cant tell you which was the best out of the three. I will be back again and again.

The only regret we have is that we did not discover this store earlier. We just had a couple of their pizzas. My wife ordered them on Facebook and picked them up 1 hour later. So, I brought my deer meat here to be processed in January. Very easy order to be made. Find out Charlie misplaced half my meat or gave it away to someone. This was 3 months late after I brought it in. I kept bugging him. Then another month went by after he said I will replace your deer meat with moose meat I said sure not a problem. Well it's been 10 months later and still never got anything after many repeated attempts to get ahold of him. If you want half your meat to go missing then go here. Figured I would try a new person and thus is what happens. Won't be thanks for losing half my meat ????

Charlie's is one of those neighborhood butchers you feel you grew up with. A modest guy opening up a business who doesn't gouge customers with a superior product. If you can get your name on the list for their dinner specials do it. You won't be disappointed and there warm potato salad is fantastic. Great job Charlie and crew!

The Shoemaker’s

I was pretty excited to try out Charlie’s for the first time but it ended badly and won’t go back. After waiting about 10min I asked for flank steak (as I needed a thin steak to roll up along with other ingredients) and the person had no idea what I was talking about. They asked Charlie and nothing happened as he was busy. So after waiting awhile, someone else tried taking my order, same thing, they had no idea. Again they asked Charlie but he was busy. This time they told him I needed a thin steak to roll and I got the impression he was annoyed that someone would even think to do this with steak by his body language and conversations with the other employees and the other employees were laughing at this and thought it was funny. It was busy so I just ignored it. After waiting awhile I ended up showing a picture on my phone and they thought it was funny. They showed and talked to Charlie again and he says “what? You haven’t gotten rid of him yet?”. Again I just let it go. I really wanted my steak and figured a butcher would be the best place. I texted my wife what was happening and she said she had a similar experience 6 months earlier where they made her feel stupid, so I left. Worked out great in the end, I went to Safeway close by and the butcher there knew exactly what I wanted and gave it to me immediately. The meal was a major hit with all my friends and family and will be a new holiday tradition. It was also a learning experience for my kids as they were confused why we left. I was able to show them, adults deal with similar issues they face in school and sometimes it’s best to just move away from the situation instead of having a confrontation. It seems like many people love Charlie’s, and I went in with the impression that I was going to be another loyal customer and promote the local business and brag about the meat I got. I knew going in it was going to be busy(dec. 24) so I wasn’t expecting immediate service. I am not a chef so I don’t know my terminologies and steak cuts so after dealing with Charlie’s I was second guessing myself into thinking I was asking for something rare and hard to get. But I wasnt, it was flank steak. I don’t even know the type of steak I got from Safeway but it was thin and it worked. I am also a business owner so I see the other side of the fence and I don’t write bad reviews till now as I believe I am very understanding and I know I’m not perfect, especially when busy. But the reason I’m writing this review is that they made me feel stupid and that what I was trying to do was stupid. And the fact that my wife had a similar scenario with a beef brisket 6 months earlier and another lady ordering at the same time as me had a similar scenario confirmed that this wasn’t an isolated incident. Please treat everyone with respect. I’m assuming the staff taking orders was hired to deal with the holiday rush as they had no idea what was going on and was probably putting stress on Charlie. I understand that things aren’t always perfect but I just really didn’t like how I was treated and the atmosphere.

We tried Charlie’s for the first time last night and picked up the Rib dinner for $20. First of all, the food was amazing. Secondly, the portion size is HUGE. I couldn’t believe how many ribs we got. More than enough food for more than 2 people. We have left overs. Would highly recommend this place. Will be going back!

This was my first visit and I'm certainly going to become a regular. Large selection of fresh and frozen cuts of a variety of products. Exceptional prices. I expect to pay a bit more than box stores for local farm meat, but in many cases, these prices are equal or cheaper. Clean premises, friendly staff.

Good food - Bad owner/employee/lack of respect for clients. There was clearly a minor miscommunication on the Rib Dinner they offer. Honestly wasn't a big deal at all on my end, but the employee couldn't have handled it any worse despite the error being on her side and not clarifying my wife's name over the phone. To top it off as I was leaving the store they yell at me across the counter in front of their other customers "your welcome". I love supporting local businesses, but to be treated like that for such a small issue makes me question the quality of people working here/ownership. Business must be booming if they can treat their clientele like that. I went here 2 days in a row, and sadly won't be back.

We visit Charlie’s every week or two. The selection changes, so they may not have what you were initially looking for. Keep your eyes open and you will find something delicious to try. We enjoy the pulled pork and brisket meals on Wednesdays. So good!

First time visiting this place yesterday and was served by Bob. He was awesome. This is the best butcher shop I’ve ever been to in my life. The prices are amazing and the quality of the meat is exceptional. Try the eggs they sell as well! They are great! Can’t wait to go back!!

We will no longer shop at Charlie's. Very poor service. Three times I ordered meat a few days ahead and all three times my order wasn't ready and wouldn't be that day. Always had excuses but they had my number and never let me know. Pathetic.
