Staff were amazing, super polite and nice to work with. Brisket was very badly cut, it was about 5 lb of just fat that filled the entire center of the cut where both sides were covered as well, after carving it and cooking it there was about 1lb of meat the rest was all just fat. Was very disappointed :(

Fantastic, friendly and knowledgable staff who greet me by name every time I visit. Best meat in Calgary. Great selection of other items as well; they have a great selection of spices and condiments, and the Valbella meat pies are knee-bucklingly delicious! They also sell dog bones that they will customize and cut down in size for your dog. Their chicken cordon bleu will renew your faith in humanity. The sausages are so flavourful they're almost magical. Best kept secret in the city!

Great staff who offer good discounts on bulk orders. Price is on the high end, but so is the quality of meat. They are also able to do custom cuts.

I ordered a half pork An entire lamb And various other items. I love the Lamb . Great buy and super delicious would do it again all day every day. I have no complaints about any other of their products. BUT-. My pork taste like an Old Boar . I've made many requests and have brought the owner a sample. He started returning my calls and offering me compensation. However. He says he acquired the animal from Family Foods-(correct me if I'm wrong Calgary Meats).and now has not contacted me in months. I've had others try this meat to see if my pallet is somehow off,but like I said all other products were amazing and I'm 100% satisfied I asked the Veterans society if they would be interested. At this point I'm thinking Bear bait I've tryed every method to cook this Testosterone out. I grew up on a pig farm and know it not possible,however I tryed my best. Godspeed .

Stopped in for Bison steaks. Owner Ruby (Nick name) was happy to cut the steaks to order, and also provided some great beef rib-eye also cut to order. None of my purchased items were visible in the cooler. Ask and ye shall receive ! Great shop, highly recommend.

Was told by a friend to go here and I'm glad I did! The chicken thighs were juicy and I alot for the price. Their pepperoni sticks were amazing and we're trying the ribs out right now! I'll keep going here from now on! Especially for what you're paying at the stores and the flavour here is so much better!

I was in the store to buy some meats for the "pandemic" preparation. I purchased a box of chicken as well as a box of filet steak wrapped in bacon. Today I went to take out "some" of the chicken and realized that all of the chicken was frozen together in both bags of chicken. I went to the return the meat to check if it was in fact "Previously frozen" and was told they received it frozen and sold in frozen. I held up the bags and asked how I was to cook said chicken without cooking the entire bag. Needless to say I left the chicken and walked out.

Amazing place for great cuts of meat. Just had them do me up a Rib Roast for the smoker and they cut the bones off for me and retied it. You just can't beat the quality of the meat and it's consistent every time.

Finally got through the few things I was able to get at this place. Went out of my way to try them, it was mediocre. I wanted some Hungarian sausage to cook, they had none, I got brats and some turkey sausage both were average, the turkey sausage felt like it had no seasoning in it at all. It's a small place nice people for sure but just didn't have what I wanted and the stuff I tried wasn't awesome.

My absolute favorite butcher! They have a great selection of meats, deli, smokies, cured sausage, pepperoni, beef jerky, awesome rouladen meat, plus wicked pierogies (spiced sausage filling or traditional) and the best crab cakes. Seriously get the crab cakes. The staff are always helpful, friendly and care about repeat customers! I live close by and will always stop by to stock up.

My wife and I have bought our meat here for about 6 months. Frozen chicken boxes 5/5 The breasts are tender, so juicy, and a great price. Frozen steak boxes 2/5 They are priced very cheap and quality to match. The meat is tough and difficult to eat unless you make it into a stew. Frozen lamb chops 5/5 We've gotten these 3 times and each time they were to die for. Fresh whole chicken 5/5 bought twice and both times great. Jerkey 5/5 Try the turkey, It's great.

Their meat is very healthy. None of their product comes from places where the animals are given toxic this and that like anti biotics forced fed etc. Other places in town would not even be honest and say if their meat has been treated this way or another etc

I just read some of the reviews, and I agree with all the good things people are saying, but I can't believe no one has commented>> CALGARY MEATS HAS THE BEST BEEF JERKY IN TOWN!! Its like legal CRACK, you can't get enough. And pepperoni sticks, turkey jerky etc. I have these guys on speed dial for when I need a fix....

They are the "Cheers" of butcher's in Calgary. Super friendly, they go out of their way to accommodate to your needs/preferences. Great with suggestions. Always helpful with specific needs. They have an app that gets you points towards discounts! The meat packs are a great value! The quality is amazing! I've served steaks that I had to freeze, then done on the bbq, that those we served couldn't believes they were frozen. Lots of variety too. But the service is one of the best, bar none.

Been searching everywhere for the most tender beef jerky from calgary. I bought the original beef jerky and buffalo jerky and I gotta say the price point is spot on. tender wise is better than any grocery store/gas station but it could still be more tender. anyways 8/10!

Excellent store with friendly and helpful staff. I ordered marrow bones online at this location and they were out of stock but then they contacted me by email when it was available again. I used them for pho but they would be perfect for baking and eating with toast too. They have all sorts of meats and pies and pates and jerky to try too. Definitely would recommend visiting this store if you haven't already.

We found this store a few months ago. Bought some Rib steaks that were great! Surprisingly the prices were almost identical to Coop so we now shop here weekly. We watch the sign out front for specials. Easy quick parking right out front and nowadays shopping local is key !!

Awesome place! I highly recommended the swiss meat rolls, and the pork tenderloin, the ground beef with bacon, the ribs are incredible. Buy some bone-in chicken breast and experience the juicy joy of perfection. Am I a fan? You bet. They sell meat that is as clean and wholesome as meat can be. No hormones, antibiotics, etc. After eating from this shop for a month (currently a 3 year customer) I found that I could discern the difference between Calgary meats products and meat sold at the big stores, a very unflattering difference for the large supermarkets. The price is higher at Calgary meats, but so is the quality. And the staff.... the two gals that seem to run the joint are superb. See for yourself though, you'll enjoy the following dinner!

We used to go there fairly frequently but the owner would always cut us more meat than we wanted. Love their sliced roast beef but last week we got some that wasn't very fresh and smelled funny within 2 days of being in the fridge and it wasn't cheap. I don't think we'll be back again.
