Shout out to Butcher Block. My husband went yesterday to get a small prime rib beef roast for a Sunday dinner. It was specifically cut to our needs and size and was just so delicious. So happy to support a local butcher - quality is excellent. Recommend highly - we are newer to the community and will be a return customer!

I have tried to shop here twice... both times the staff were INCREDIBLY rude. I stood in the store for a very very long time before any of the staff even acknowledged me, though I was standing right at the counter watching and waiting for them. Both times I have left without any meat at all because they made it so difficult to even purchase from them. I had a voucher from an online deal store and both times they gave excuses why they wouldn't honour the voucher, and seemed mad that I was trying to use it. The point of those online deals are to bring new customers into your store so you can show off how great your store is and turn them into long-term customers. The point is NOT to be rude and act annoyed that you have a new customer. I would have LOVED to have a great butcher to go to in Sherwood Park. I will never return to this store though.

Friendly and fresh product. I always had a good experience at this clean store, fresh meat, excellent service and took the time to explain where the product is coming from. As Google shows it is open today from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Don't rely on Google, just give a call to make sure it is open.

We have gone here a number of times for years and it is always fantastic. The owner is incredibly knowlegeable and helpful for any product we are interested in (special cuts, how to cook something, sauces, etc.). They have a great variety of delicious meat. We have never had a bad steak, pork chop, etc from here, it's always top notch and we are always pleased with the meat (as are our guests). Some specialty products such as the pulled pork, kebobs, bbq beef, and bbq chicken (all made on site) are amazing and highly recommended. All of my family and friends in the area now go here for our meat. A clean, well lit place with friendly and helpful staff. A local place that sources its products locally. Perfect!

This small butcher shop is amazing. They will custom cut, make sausage to order, and the selection under the counter is great. The shop also supports other local small businesses with cheese, eggs, spice and seasonings etc.

If you want it they will cut it for you. Don't expect Walmart pricing. You are paying for quality and great cuts. Hams are smoked old school low salt without all the soy protein and garbage. Talk with the owner in person and get custom orders. I ordered 2 15 pound hams and was impressed with the quality. People who feel the staff was rude leave your cell phone in the car and treat them with respect.

Terrible customer service, very unprofessional, and does not disclose full prices on game meat processing. If you like your bills scribbled on a scrap piece of paper, and being charged $4-5 pound for pork to be added to your game meat, then you have found the right place. Will not be returning, or recommending this place to anyone. Very disappointing, as I would have brought him lots of business.

Great quality. Great service. I love this local business! The quality of meat from a good butcher is immediately recognizable in the meals. If you hit the deals and remember there's no waste with bacon fat that won't render, it can actually be cheaper to get good meat via your local butcher. I'll continue to shop here.

Best place to go for all your meat desires! Has a great selection of fresh steaks chicken and pork cuts at the counter. You can even ask for special cuts. Sean is an awesome guy that loves to have happy customers. highly recommended. I also have taken my wild game to him and it turns out great.

Butcher block has the best bacon I have ever tasted. Almost no preservatives. I load up every two weeks along with their famous kippered beef jerky. The smoked meat choices from this place are amazing, and I highly recommend any of them. I never eat or purchase meat from the grocery store anymore.

Very reasonable prices, they sell containers of duck fat which is great to cook with, all their cuts are very good quality, the staff will even cut pieces upon request. The only drawback I've noticed is that they're hesitant to grind meat on request due to how much of a pain it is to clean the grinder.

I’m very happy with the service and products here! They make awesome sausage. My favs are the bratwurst and maple sage. I taken numerous deer here to be cut up. It’s always cut and wrapped nicely and without hair or bone fragments (big no no). I even ordered a batch of deer smokies which were fantastic. Better products than Charlie’s butcher shop in my opinion.

Horrible experience. Found bone fragments all through the so called best bacon in sherwood park. I called to complain and was told its because nobody cuts bacon like he does. Umm bacon shouldn't have bones and if it does you should warn your customers of the bones. It's a choking hazard. The man I spoke to claimed to be a manager but didn't seem to care. I will not go back. There are much better butcher shops in the area.

Both the owner and the other employee in the store were not wearing masks and directly interacting with customers. I could tell other people in the store looked perplexed when walking in and seeing this. During a time in the pandemic where ICUs are overflowing, this is not acceptable. Honestly as a health care worker it feels like a slap in the face. Will not be coming back, and would recommend anyone that doesn't want COVID to not come here and support this business, when there are other butchers in the city that are more respectful.

After searching Sherwood Park for chicken or turkey sausage, I walked in here and they offered to make a special order for me. It took a couple weeks, but worth the wait!!! Smells so good and tastes even better!! We used it to make some amazing smoked armadillo eggs!! Love that they are so close!

Tried out this new butcher shoppe and it was amazing. The steak that the owner cut for me was outstanding, perfect marbling for a ribeye. Came back the next day for some chicken and bacon. The bacon we just cooked this morning and all I can say is hands down best bacon I’ve had. I’ve tried many butcher shoppes in Sherwood Park and Edmonton but this will be my new go to for meat. I went to Butcher Block today in hopes of supporting a local business and getting better than grocery store quality meat. However, once inside I had to wait behind an older gentleman who wasn't wearing his "neck buff" properly and then I realized that two out of three of the Butcher Block staff were not wearing masks. I was super uncomfortable. I really should have walked out. But I waited my turn and asked the lady who helped me why she and her coworker were not wearing masks. She said it was a safety issue and that this had been discussed with the health inspectors. I didn't think the mask mandate in businesses was up for debate? Since I had already been to Acme meat in Edmonton and had seen all of their staff wearing masks, I became skeptical. I would like to support Butcher Block as I live in Sherwood Park, but I don't think I can go back until we don't have to wear masks anymore.

Wow this place is now our go to for any of our needs.They went above and beyond to help us get smoked dog bones for our dog. Even better they cut them accordingly to our dogs size. My husband was so impressed we will now call this butcher shop home. Our dog thanks you as well!

Went in around 11 am and nobody was in sight. I could have grabbed anything and left. Someone came in after finding what was close to what I needed. Two guys came out, both drinking coffee. They saw me and I gave them a smile and they just turned towards each other and continued talking. I'm not expecting a show but a "Hello" would have been nice. I stood next to the scale waiting to be helped and they just kept talking. After spending almost 10 minutes in the store I was baffled why I was being held up during a pandemic. I calmly said "Bye!" and left. I know I am just one sale probably like $30-$40 tops but I am a return customer if service is good. There is a better butcher in town who will say hello and remember you when you come back. This doesn't have a community feel, it's a Wal-Mart butcher shop.

This place has lovely staff, great to deal with and always helpful. Most cuts of meat are pur beauty and grat prices. There bacon is amazing as stated in lots of other reviews. Giving 4 stars because I'm not very impressed with the briskets. I grab 1 off them a few months back and I wasn't very happy with the cut and quality of it. Everything else I have gotten has been great so I gave it another shot today and it was the worst brisket I have gotten. I actually left there shop and bought another one somewhere else
