Writing this review based on two experiences here and hundreds of dollars later. They have a great product, sure. But when I'm spending that kind of money on meat I expect the customer service to be over the top great. The owner of this place is completely miserable, condescending and unfriendly at best. We gave him a pass the first time because everyone has bad days, my wife's experience today ensured we won't return. She's also born and raised on a farm, a phenomenal chef and isn't an entitled brat. Good luck in the future!

Their meats are zabiha halal and they have good sales on frozen foods. The quick fry steaks(ranch/shoulder) are economically priced and are amazing quality. The hot dogs and burger patties are just: ????????????????????

Edited from previous 5 star review below: beyond disgusted to walk into this place on Christmas Eve to drop $100 on meat and have the miserable owner ignore you and not even bother to say hello when you walk through the door to support his business. And I mean I said hello and he looked up, looked down and ignored me. If I wasn't looking for something last minute I'd have left immediately. We won't be back. Maybe if he could be bothered to put on a mask and follow public health measures his clientele wouldn't be subjected to his miserable scowl. Original: Excellent local butcher! We stopped in today and were quite impressed with the service and selection. Our many questions were all answered and we left with a decent little haul.

Their new location is fantastic and conveniently located with plenty of parking. Their beef is second to none. And their customer service is fantastic. They are very well versed with their product offering and if asked will give amazing advice and tips. We picked up some ground beef as our daughter wanted burgers and they were so helpful in giving us advice on how to mix our patties (premium plus chuck plus bacon bits was a killer combo!). We even picked up a Zabuton steak per their recommendation and followed their directions to a T. Let me preface this by saying that we aren't amazing cooks by any stretch of the imagination but this steak turned out so beautifully with a perfect crust that it honestly rivaled one of our most memorable meals in Tokyo at one of their top steak houses. Brant Lake is a mainstay in our house and I am so glad we have local businesses like this offering such high quality products at a reasonable price point. Pro tip: the eggs here are amazing as well

Every employee here seems like they would rather be dead than work here. Completely rude and unhelpful. Simple questions are responded with attitude and snarky comments. They refuse to wear masks on the sales floor, if you show no hygiene during a pandemic, it makes me think how they handle the meat behind closed doors They also have signs promoting anti masks in there stores. It’s too bad because the Wagyu is great. All I want is to be able to buy some damn wagyu and not have to deal with miserable people and their political beliefs.

Rude customer service. Made us feel really uncomfortable. We ended up leaving because the guy didn’t seem interested in helping us at all. It’s a shame because we were in the market to spend money there.
