I think this place is good to go to get meat products, hence the name. I haven't tried everything yet. It is really out of the way for me, so I've only been in a few times. First time I went in, I got some jerky and I find it decent. Second time I went in, I was in the area and decided to check out some of the other stuff. I originally was intending to go to Cheesecake Cafe, but I noticed they had cheesecake and desserts. So it really saved me a trip, I decided to get some. 3/4 pieces were cheesecake slices, 1/4 was some floured cake slice. But unfortunately, the only cake piece I did finish, was the strawberry floured cake. The cheesecakes themselves were terrible, I didn't like any of them. I was caught off guard when I noticed one of them was even worst than the others because it had like shredded coconut in the crust? I don't consider coconut to be edible, so that was obviously traumatizing. I didn't finish the first bite, I had to spit it out. That was pretty bad, I won't be getting them again... Third time I went in, I got some more jerky and a smoked turkey leg. For taste, it was much less flavorful than I expected it to be. I give it a neutral rating. Next time I go in, I will try some different things. I think I will stick with the meats...

The pie crust has changed. It is hard and dry. Not flakey any more. Disapponting. Haven't had these pies for years due to living far away. The filling lacks the flavour it used to have and they also ran out of steak and kidney which were my favorite pies.

I went in for raw food for my dogs (new to raw feeding) and the gentleman helping us was patient and took the time to show us many options rather than just point and leave us to figure it out. Absolutely LOVE this establishment! First time in here. Searched everywhere for brisket and so we called them ahead of time. Was awsnered with a friendly hello. I asked if they have brisket and they were very prompt in telling me they did! So fast! We got in there and was served immediately even with several others in the store. Our butcher was VERY friendly! I know some companies treat "newbies" like idiots but they treated us like this was a new experience and that it was ok we were confused. They had awsners to all of our questions with a smile on their face. This place is the true customer service I miss and don't get from other establishments. I am definitely a returning customer . Great job guys! I found my butcher!

Best value is their meat pies, most of the time tasty and hot (need to catch them around 11:00 am). I have been going to bon tons for the past 50 plus years and I will keep going their. I ordered a Prime Rib roast from them for the first time. Although it is much more pricier than regular grocery stores, you can see the quality. The meat did not shrink at all after 3 hrs of roasting. The meat was melt in your mouth. I asked them to marinate in Garlic for me, and boy was it good. I was going to do other seasonings to it, but the aroma smelled so good that I decided not to do anything extra to it. We also got some of their gluten free cakes for Christmas Day dessert cause one of our guest is gluten free. Usually the gluten free guest gets the dry stuff but this cake was really good even the not gluten free people liked it. Next time I have guests over, I will know where to go for my dinner parties.

Bon Ton is super consistent. I've never been disappointed with a cut of meat. The fact that you can get anything cut anyway you'd like is really convenient. I often ask for them to shave the rib eye for when I make Philly cheese steak, honestly it comes out see through thin. Both there savoury and sweet pies are among some of my favourite in the city. There's no doubt that it's very pricey, but sometimes you have to take a hit in cost for great quality. Come check this place out, you won't be disappointed with the service and professionalism.

A friend referred Bon Ton and I can't begin to expound on the amazing service that I have received from first contacting Greg Keller (manager) last year to today, when chatting with him about life, travel, and of course - catering with Bon Ton once again for our party this December. Without embellishment, Greg is the most charming, helpful, kind, go an extra two miles for your customer kind of manager, and just an all around amazing human being. He represents Bon Ton wonderfully which is why I call him Mr. Wonderful (not to be confused with the money-hungry guy on Shark Tank lol). Last year, we ordered a full turkey meal. The turkey breast (which is known to be notoriously dry) was moist and succulent and there was plenty of food. This year it will be beef and chicken, and I have no doubts it will be delicious, because Bon Ton has a high standard of excellence. To add to my accolades, I would like to thank Greg and Bon Ton for not only their superior service and quality food, but for doing it at a price point for our church which was more than reasonable - it was magnanimous! They genuinely care about service, product and above all else - the customer. Greg and Bon Ton - you get my highest praise and my referrals and again and again.

Ordered a turducken with sausage stuffing through Bon Ton yesterday and it was amazing! Highly recommend it...they will even cook it for you and provide you with excellent gravy for a minimal fee. Their service was excellent, they were very professional and called several times to confirm details with you to ensure everything is right. Sausage stuffing is the way to go instead of the traditional stuffing.

Went to Bon Ton this weekend and was in heaven with the great selection of baked goods and meats. In the freezer section I came across baba's handmade perogies, I haven't seen these since I left Saskatoon. So to my delight I scoop up a couple of bags of potato and onion perogies. My delight soon turned to disgust when I saw the price tag, $25 for a small bag of perogies!!! Now I know at baba's in Saskatoon these go for maybe $10-$12 a bag. Okay so I put the perogies back and shop for some sirloin steaks its a good thing I had a coupon for 2 free steaks because that third one cost me $22. Don't get me wrong the selection is fantastic and the meat quality was good however the price was just to high when I can get equal quality stuff at a local grocier for a less price.

Be prepared to be amazed at their selection. They have at least 15 different types of sausage; breakfast, chicken, pork and gluten free. They have many different cuts of beef. They sell prepared meat pies and roasted whole chicken, chicken wings and ribs. The desert counter is certain to make you salivate. Forgot to get a spice rub, pasta noodles, breadcrumbs, or cheese to accompany your meal? Bon ton has you covered! Awesome meat market!!

If you don't get the right cut of meat, you did not ask for what you wanted or you do not know meat. Bon Ton's fresh meat selection is great, I wish they had fresh Buffalo sirloins but we cannot all be winners and I have not been able to find them since 2008. The pies are better than anything I have tried in town and do not forget to get something for your dog from the treat basket. Service is great and I would recommend this butchershop to anyone I care about.

As always, service is impeccable and the quality of product is unparalleled. This year we once again pre-ordered our fresh Christmas turkey (Winter's) along with some sausage meat for stuffing. Pick up was fast and easy, we went early to avoid the lineups, and picked up some of our usual cuts as well. The meats are always fresh and perfectly trimmed. The chicken is all Alberta Free Range and the Pork is the best. The fresh salads, made in house, are delicious and Bon Ton's ready to eat foods are simply top shelf! (the BBQ beef ribs are a favourite!) Highly recommend!

Really good selection of products. Pricey? Yes, but worth it!!! We buy all of our red meat from here and will never buy red meat from the grocery store again. Top quality meats are worth the price! Even for taco night, we go get freshly ground sirloin from Bon Ton, no more cheap ground beef from the grocery store. Get the baseball ribeye steaks - they are to die for. The staff are fantastic - Exactly what customer service should be and total class acts. Try the red velvet cake in the deli section, fantastic! The only issue I have with this cake, is it is $7.50 a slice - That's craziness, though it is good!

An outstanding meat shop. Great selection, superior flavour and tenderness in the steaks. Expensive? Yes. But you're paying for meat that is well trimmed, you're not buying an inch or two of fat, besides, if you can't afford the best steak, buy a large cut of chuck roast and cube it for the most flavourful beef stew you'll ever have for a quarter of the price. The display case makes it very easy to select precisely the steak you like. A review of Bon Ton would not be complete without mentioning the first rate service - always fast, always knowledgable, always friendly, always helpful, and you have to love the way they wrap everything up in butcher paper and twine. Simply the best!

Today I purchased a tortiere for dinner. It was tasteless ground pork in terrible pie crust. It had no resemblance to pork tortiere. Even talked to them 2 times before about what I wanted and was given something else . had to go to coop to get more. And the staff was very unfriendly. Would not recommend this place xmas eve . Makes people nasty. No Xmas spirit ????

The best meat shop in town. Services is excellent, staffs are friendly and helpful and always have smile on their face. The quality of meat is the best of the best. They even vacuum pack the meat if you request. I drive 40 minutes from where I live to the shop but it worth. You can't buy same quality of meat in the big box store. This is why I keep going back to buy meat from them.

For Thanksgiving our family ordered the cooked Turkey, stuffing and gravy. It was all fantastic. As much as we ate (15 people) there was plenty stuffing and gravy left over, which was great for sandwiches etc., for a couple of days and the Turkey was spectacular. Beautifully browned skin and moist as can be. I decided to buy a turkey for Christmas and cook it myself. I didn't brine it, but it didn't need to be. Once again it was moist and and oh so flavourful. I am not surprised because I have had nothing but excellent service and products from there for many years. The staff is friendly but most of all, knowledgeable.

Me and my husband visited this store for the first time last weekend. We love how they have their meat displayed in the open so you can see the quality, cut and prices of each meat. The staff were amazing! Patient, knowledgeable and they answered all of questions. We had such an amazing experience their that we went back with in two day to purchase more meat and yet again the staff were amazing!!

Love the selection I would only recommend staff are aware of how to pair meat. When I asked the girl at the front what sausage she would recommend best for pirogies she said Italian and that was weird as polish or Hungarian are usually paired.

Those that know meat know that Bon Ton is the place to go. For Easter dinner we smoked a turkey breast that was well beyond anything I'd had before. The meat was moist and more flavourful then any I had purchased elsewhere. Since I had the smoker going I also smoked a few wild boar chops that they sell - imagine a pork chop but with a much richer flavour. They made the perfect lunch the next day. Staff are extremely helpful and their on-site butchers are happy to do custom cuts on the spot. We come in from Airdrie and pass numerous butchers on the way, but nothing compares.
