You have all the feddbacks of people like you who have information of the products of Heritage Asian Eatery (Bowling Alley) in West Vancouver area (Canada).
Currently the firm has a score of 4.2 over 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is very good, and it is based on a large number of scores, so we may conclude that the score is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Bowling Alley is classified in the category of Asian restaurant.
Authentic food made with fresh ingredients , I love this place.
I must of caught them on a bad day.....expensive food and really small portions. I had duck bowl which were way too salty. Might give them a second chance because of all the good reviews
(Edit... I went to the Broadway branch) Wish I could give this place 6 stars. Honestly one of the best eats for a modern take on Chinese cuisine. I initially took my family to the restaurant for their Father’s Day special and was welcomed by staff with amazing customer service. The food was spectacular and their desserts are definitely something to look out for. The next time I came to the restaurant was with my grandparents and we opted to try their Peking duck menu. It was definitely worth the try. Everything was done to perfection and you can definitely tell that the chefs and staff paid attention to detail on every single dish. We had a chance to meet the chef and when an ASIAN Grandpa gave his stamp of approval on this place, you know what’s up ????. Will definitely be coming back here more often and supporting this business. Notes: Some of my favourite dishes you should TRY: -Sesame balls (salted egg, black sesame) -Peking Duck menu -Truffle Siu Mai -Soy chicken (one of the JUCIEST I’ve ever tried in my honest opinion) -Egg plant (paired w/ chili oil is HEAVENLY)
Good flavours, but the food was a little too salty and oily for us.
Incredibly delicious food here. Their pork belly melts in your mouth and their chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Their baos and very good as well and they have some interesting sides too! Highly recommend this place!
Really tasty food. Can be a tad bit pricy but still pretty good. Great location too.
Great soupy xlb, delicious fried chicken bowl, and fresh duck bao. Really appreciate the chilli oil that actually tastes like the real ones over seas.
Great service and delicious food. Will return to try other dishes of theirs.
Great vegan options, short wait, a lot of seating
I would like to thank Bill for accommdating me today. A mistake was made on my order last week but Heritage's team went beyond to resolve the issue. Thank you guys - your teams' efforts greatly appreciated and above all, the food is delicious every time!!!
Thought I'd try the pork belly bowl. It's a scam for $14 there's only two pieces. Looks nothing like the photo. Unfortunately, i got take out. Just know you're making a gambling going here.
This place was good, but nothing to write home about. The bad buns were flavorful but dry (not to mention expensive!!) There are better choices in the vicinity
Cute little eatery where you order up front. Not much space to sit if there's a rush, but the food is SO worth it! I've never had such a delicious pork belly bao before!! I also tried the xiao long bao which was very yummy as well! I'll definitely be going back to try some of the other menu items. What a find!
It’s not often you see eggplant as a veggie option. Bonus points for that. There was lots of pickled and crunchy things next to the eggplant. Ramen egg was the star of the dish.
Great food, extremely filling so definitely worth the price point. Matcha mantou is worth getting for those with sweet tooth.
Long wait and not easy to find a seat. It’s similar to a bowl of ramen except it’s with rice and no soup. Fresh ingredients and tasted great. Portion is on the small side and we couldn’t try the dumplings as it’s sold out during lunch hours.
A rare gem with one of the best chicken bowl ever. Chicken was crispy and cooked perfectly. Lovely duck bao, tasted gourmet. Dumplings were incredible. Absolutely love this joint and very cheap to eat.
The bao seem somewhat small for their price, but the flavour is completely on point. Pleasant atmosphere, quiet-ish location, friendly staff, and the food is definitely really good! It's worth trying at least once.
They offered a limited menu of rice bowls Many items on the menu were sold out. The duck bowl was good, but the pork belly was overcooked and had a sweet sauce that I didn't appreciate. The bok choy was yummy but unfortunately, overcooked. Don't get the custard ball... it was small, overcooked, and most likely frozen and not freshly made. I would not go there again.
High quality flavorful fast
Amazing bowls! So delicious
Take out
this place is almost ALWAYS packed on weekday lunch hours so expect to wait a while. But despite being a counter serve spot, the cashier always makes an effort to bring the food to your table and I am also impressed how she can remember many of the customer's names. Great service. I've tried most of their bowls but my go to is their chicken bowl, I LOVE the scallion sauce
Great new place in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Kind of a Korean fusion with a simple menu and filling portions. The pork belly bowl was delicious, Especially the daikon kimchi and slaw
great great food. Try the duck bowl.
Everything is good, but you gotta GO EARLY!!!! ...just saying...????????
This place is bomb. I was going to have the duck but then got way too excited about the fact that the fried chicken was gluten-free! Sooooo good! Man I need to come back and try the duck...
One of best lunch spots in Downtown Vancouver Value for money food that is healthy & flavourful.
Food was pretty decent but service at cashier was mediocre; overall decent experience but just a little pricey
Loved it. thanks to Stephen for his friendly service and recommendations.
Always fast and delicous! Hard to choose between duck, chicken, pork, and shiitake, everything is so delicious. I crave this often
Pork belly bowl was awesome. Tons of flavour, fresh, and prepared quickly. Pork was tender and the soft-boiled egg done well. Will be returning to try the duck bowl and some bao.
I have enjoyed my visits to Heritage Asian Eatery. The menu is specialized but the quality of the food is high and ingredients are fresh. Service is mostly quick and efficient, which is needed because the restaurant can be crowded during lunch time. I wish prices were a bit lower given the amount of food one gets, which affects the value a little. Still, this is a good place for a fresh and tasty meal.
Take out
Tasty baos and rice dishes. Gets packed real quick during lunch.
Great Asian fusion rice bowls. Large-ish amounts for the price and tasty to boot
Loved the pork belly bowl, not a huge fan of the price. My entire lunch was about $20. Really liked the food though, very thick pork belly, good crunky slaw, some pickled veg on tasty rice. Won't be in my main rotation as it's double what I'd like to pay, but will return.
I ordered the shiitake bowl. It was an explosion of flavour in my mouth. The mushrooms were incredibly soft and the egg was cooked perfectly. My dish was served with fluffy white rice, cabbage slaw, and mushroom fungus. I can tell a lot of care was put into preparing the ingredients.
Please please please add your special hot and sour with beef noodle soup to your regular rotation. It is literally the best soup I've had in Vancouver, by far!
Love their crispy dumplings and Dan Dan noodles. Good atmosphere and service.
Great new Chinese fusion place. Delicious brunch food and definitely try the congee. Heading back soon to try more off their menu.
A well made menu. Every item I have tried was great. I highly recommend it.
Consistently yummy bowls and baos. Five spice cauliflower a sensatory delight. Homemade chili sauce fit for bottling
Just visting Vancouver and this place was close to my hotel so I wanted to give it a try.. I got the chicken bowl. I was disappointed when I realized it was a fried chicken leg and breast.. Not what I expected. I found it very awkward to eat a whole chicken leg and breast with just chopsticks. Very greasy and otherwise bland food.
One of the faves, hands down. Gets very busy during lunch hour, so use Ritual app to pre-order. Try their pork baos!!!
Lunch
Best Noodles I have ever eaten... Recommend trying out the DanDan Udon
Excellent lunch spot... delicious food and friendly service
Fast and easy, not a lot of selection though. If you like a large bowl of rice and fatty/fried foods you will enjoy it. It can get very busy around lunch time because of all of the nearby offices. They call your name to pick up the food so you really have to listen for it if you're sitting down to wait for your order. Recommend the pork belly bowl.
Cool atmosphere, great food, good price!
Love the duck and pork bowl but the my most favorite is spicy tofu. It's deep fried to perfection and with soy garlic sauce.
The food was really tasty. I ordered the chicken rice bowl and the pork belly Bao. The Bao was full of delicious flavour and the rice bowl was tasty and filling. I'd definitely go back. The atmosphere was good but I had to sit outside as the music was just a bit too loud. A plus for is that there is enough room for a stroller in the off hours.
Evan was very tired and wimpy so I want to complain because he failed me. Help. Ian brought my food to the table and was very nice.
Not the best, expensive for what they serve. Food was really salty!
Tasty with reasonable price
Food is pretty decent but a little salty. Salmon bowl was cool just wished there was more salmon. Crispy Pata came out but was kind of dry. Place is small so be aware.
Visiting from Toronto and was told I had to try this place. All I can say is how perfectly balanced the pork belly bowl was! The melt in your mouth savory pork belly was balanced with crispy taro straws and the picked veggies. I wish I had the stomach to keep ordering more! Also the service here is impeccable! I mentioned I was from out of town and they gave me free dessert to go with my meal. Would definitely come back when I visit again!
Cool concept in terms of food presentation and store interior design. Similar to Pine & Crane in LA. Food itself however is average. Rice isn’t chewy and the sauce lacks depth.
Chicken bowl and the crispy dumplings are delicious. Highly recommended, friendly staff as well ????????
A limited menu but everything we tried was excellent!
Good bowls and eggs benny! Try the matcha mantou, too!
The bowls are good, but the baos are the big draw.
Very reasonable price and great portion, not to mention that their foods are too good.
Doesn't taste bad at all but it's nothing too exciting for me.
Great place and service! They were very accommodating to my tofu allergy when I tried their Dine Out menu; they switched it to another protein for me at no additional cost. Their food tastes good and reminds me of authentic Chinese home cooking.
Fast service, great selection. One of few places I kno that has baos. The ajitama egg is on point.
I ordered the eggplant bowl, it looked and tasted really good, an egg was a good addition on the side, as eggplant on its own is not a protein heavy food. I like it, would have given them 5 stars if not some weird black mushrooms. They tasted and looked like rubber, I suggest substituting them with regular mushrooms, or avoid mushrooms altogether! Other than that, no complaints :)
The Dan Dan udon noodles with ground duck was sublime and just the right amount of spicy.
Tasty food for a decent price. I do wish the food (I ordered a mushroom bowl) came out of the kitchen a little bit warmer.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Interesting menu items. Love it
Delicious, pork belly especially. A bit pricey for what it is.
Western fusion style Chinese food with a very strong taste.
I've never had a bad meal here, can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Big flavours, big portions, options to customize and fast service. It's surprising that this place isn't qued down the block like the ramen joints on Robson.
A bit pricey for the baos, but amazing food. Gets busy during lunch, and wait can be very long, but food quality is there. Recommend the pork belly or shiitake mushroom.
So good! And reasonably priced
Quite tasty and a good price point. I miss their breakfast menu, but our lunch was delicious none the less.
Food was bland, not worth the price. The quality of the food was so so, around the price of a 10 dollar meal
Excellent food for a very good price! Pork belly melted in my mouth, delicious. Very juicy dumplings! Parking is a bit expensive, it's Vancouver downtown.
Came here for lunch once with coworkers, the overall experience was pretty good! It's very much lunch for working population restaurant. Everything tasted quite good, prices are standard. However, I didn't find anything to be amazing. Partially from the abundance of good Asian food Vancouver has to offer. I did however, find that the price of bowls to be a bit high (hence didnt order one). There's really not much in them yet they started at $13... NOTE: steamed dumplings take 12min to cook.
Absolutely delicious food. We had a Pork Belly and Shiitake bowls, both were plenty of food. We ordered a side of Pork Bao and Steamed dumplings which were also delicious but definitely filled us to the brim. Service was very prompt, but we got here pretty soon after they opened. Before we left the line was close to the door, but I would definitely have waited and not been disappointed.
Weekend brunch just became more interesting. I love their shiitacki mushroom wrap. a crisp thin pancake, egg and shrooms al rolled up. Mmmmm.
Chicken bowl was excellent. Love the ginger green onion topping.
Really good Asian fusion food with amazing flavors. The chicken is crispy outside and tender inside, and the stuffing of the crispy dumplings taste very homemade, which is a good thing! I would definitely come back to try other rice bowls and sides!
All items almost look the same, but tastes are not something “Asian” at all. To be honest, what I have tried were not yummy. I would not recommend this place to my family and friends.
Needed to head out for quick lunch and checked Google Maps for Asian restaurants and this place showed up. Good reviews of this place when I checked and so we decided to go. We all agreed that we made the right choice as the rice bowls were very tasty. I ordered the chicken bowl and the chicken was fried but not too heavy on the grease. The mushrooms were chewy and delicious. The bowl also included a pickled egg (hey Ramen places, remember when you used to include an egg and not at extra cost). I'd go to place again. Worth it. So, why 4 and not 5 if I like the place? I wish that they offered a brown rice option. Ya, being picky.
Average place... looked good in pictures but nothing special
Good place place for lunch. The duck rice bowl was very good.
Fantastic food! We had the xiao long bao, spicy tofu, shiitake bao bun, and custard bun. All of these were really really good and now that I know this, I want to eat here every day. It was basically empty around 7:30, but they do close at 8, so keep that in mind.
Really good wholesome options, lots of variety and delicious!
Some of the best pork belly I've ever had.
The Salmon bowl is so good. I was confused about how the salmon was done since it looked like it wasn't cooked but it wasn't sashimi but it was flavourful. My friend who I was with enlightened me that it was sous vide. FANCY! I've also had the Shiitake bowl in the past and that's really yummy as well. I highly recommend this place. The line gets long right after 12:15 until about 12:45 on weekdays, so go outside of these times.
Service
I really really like their food. Reasonably priced. I tried their eggplant bowl and never had eggplant prepared more delicious than that. Slightly greasy but worth it. I also had their duck and oh man the duck breast is extraordinary good. Keep up the food/price radio.
I might be white washed but this is not like any white man Chinese food court. Food is cooked to a level of finest.
Friendly service and good prices, the chicken bowl was decent but slightly bland for me.
It's good, but I can't say amazing. Or not special
This is a pretty special place. Awesome and unique dishes. Make sure to check out their seasonal dishes. We had the pork hock and it was amazing!
Their roasted duck was very good however portions for the price $18 was not worth it. Theres about 5 small slices of duck. The wife and I went a second time. The BBQ pork was plain and there was some veggies in it that tasted rotten. Again, same thing, the portions were very small for charging a heft price.
Interesting fusion food. Very loud so not the best place for a conversation. Don't get the custard bun. Not worth the price and quality.
Really great bao, fantastic flavour and huge side of tasty cauliflower. Amazing value and snappy service. Will definitely return.
Love it all! ❤️
Really good bao and bowls. Unique spot which Vancouver is in need of.
One of the best lunch places ever. Always so full after eating here
Cool mish-mash of Korean, Chinese and Japanese influences in tasty, filling dishes. Duck in 5-spice is perfectly done, 75% of tables get the cauliflower so you know it's good. Packed, loud little space.
Friendly service. Fast & Tasty meals with veggie options.
Killer food, reasonable prices. Make sure to get the cauliflower starter, texture and flavour combo are amazing. Unfortunately not much in way of veggie options. If I hadn't been limited to one choice for my meal it would be a 5 (they were out of shiitake so had to do eggplant which would not have been 1st choice). Friend got duck he said it was delicious. Will go again!
food was good but not as great as pictures posted on the website. I would try it again, maybe they were having an off day.
Great meal. Dishes served lots of food and was very tasty. This is comfort food so expect yourself to be satisfied when you leave.
Ordered dandanudon : marinated minced pork, cucumber in slightly spicy soy sauce broth with Al dente udon. Side order chichen wings : deep fried with clove and chili seasoning... An addictive taste! Total for $19- This is my second patron. Last time, the rice bowl I ordered had lots of vegetables which mixed very well and gave a good balance with the meat!! Io
The bowls are good value, interesting and tasty however the bao are overpriced and have contained low quality 2 out of 2 times that I've ordered this item. The service at lunch is slow. I will come back from time to time for a bowl but I do not recommend this establishment if you are hungry, budget-conscious and time-poor.
Some of the worst food I've had downtown and overpriced. Very disappointed.
This was one of the place I have kept saved for a long time but never got the chance to come. If I had to describe the aesthetic of this place it would be Rustic Asian fusion. Their menu is straightforward with amazing flavoured dishes. A simple salmon rice bowl is seasoned well with the salmon possibly confit because it was so tender but also raw as well. Either way this place I would definitely go again for both it's chill vibes and great tasting meals
Excellent food and fair prices, I would recommend. I've lost my bag there and they contacted me shortly after to let me know they have found my bag. That's good customer service, thank you!
Delicious and affordable Taiwanese food. I consider it a comfort food spot even. It's a food counter with a decent number of seats inside. Tried half the menu and I've never been disappointed. Flavourful meat on a bed of white rice and pickled or fresh vegetables. The pork belly bowl is awesome and a must-try on your first visit. Beed and duck bowls were great as well. Vegetarians fret not; they have veggie options as well.
Dim sum an Bao buns... Yumm!
With the first bite you will have an explosion of Asian Heritage flavors flood your taste buds. For the price you can't find something like this around town, I highly recommend this place to anybody who loves flavorful asian food. Each dish takes you on a unique flavor experience.
The food was delicious and the staff was very nice, but it is a bit pricey for small sizes. Also, they are environmentally friendly, as they separate their trash and have paper straws, which is a plus ????
Old stale not hot food. Chicken pieces were dry. Had to throw them all.
Today was my first time visiting and I wasn't sure what to try. The server recommended the duck bowl and it was amazing. It was a total flavor explosion. I will definitely be back!
Fast service, copious meals. Maybe I'm demanding but there are mixes in flavors I don't particularly like, as in flavors you might not expect for the dish you ordered. I ordered the mushroom bowl but I think it had some meaty flavors. This is potentially due to oils being used to cook multiple ingredients.
Tasty Chinese fusion food. Good balance of carb, meat/protein and veggie.
The website looks good – I liked the picture of the deep fried tofu and the presentation. That’s what I am going to order. This is a case where the pictures look better than the actual food – was that stock art? I expected to see a nicely laid out board with the menu items presented in the same style as the website, but two old fashioned light boxes tells a different story. The other people in front of us studied the tiny printed menu sheets instead of choosing from the light boxes. The main fare are the rice bowls. But we already had rice at lunch time, so I ordered from the side menu: crispy tofu, marinated eggplant, XLB dumplings and steamed Bok Choy. Except for the XLB, every side dish has the same flavour. Intense and aggressively spicy. I was disappointed with the tofu because I really wanted to taste the tofu shown on the menu page of their website. Our tofu dish was drenched in hot sauce with a different kind of hot sauce on top. The egg plant seemed to have been deep fried, the meat was very soft, but the skin was tough. I expected the steamed Bok Choy dish to be the neutralizer – for clearing our palette in between flavours. But it had the same sauce as the eggplant. The XLB took 15 minutes to arrive as we were warned, we were very glad to have them because our mouths were too hot sauce bombed by that time. While crispy onion with ginger seem to be the de facto garnish, the XLB is missing the ginger flavour, too porky. It seems that the side dishes are not meant to be eaten without a rice bowl. With so many sandwich places in the area, a quasi Asian Eatery is a good idea. But a lighter hand and more variation in flavour will provide a better balance. 2 stars for the won’t go away. 2 stars for the house sauce taste that caused a sleepless night, 2 stars for execution, 2 stars for the lack of taste variation, 3 stars for the concept of local produce. 2 stars for interaction.
We saw highly rated reviews here, so we decided to give it a try for their brunch. We ordered a duck Benny bowl and an ikura omelette at the counter. We didn't pay tip because it was like a self serve lunch. The portion of duck Benny bowl and ikura omelet was average, but I personally felt that it was leaning toward less than the average. There were a couple of hash brown under two Benny eggs. Oh my goodness! They were SUPER GREASY!!! The duck meat was marinated with their sauce and dressing that it was SUPER SALTY. There was no rice or bread to go with the salty duck meat. I was very thirty while I was eating the dish. The omelette had a little bit of ikura. When I ordered a piece of ikura nigiri sushi (one piece), I got SO MANY ikura but comparing to this omelette, the quantity of ikura was less than what I got from the one piece ikura nigiri sushi. That was very sad. This restaurant was quite stingy on giving food to customers. The omelette was just eggs. Nothing else mixed with the omelette except some seaweed and a little bit of ikura on top. This dish went with salad but I felt it was a rip off. If I paid for $13 for a real omelette somewhere else, I would get a bigger portion and it would fulfill my stomach and meet my satisfaction. Some people probably don't have a high standard like me. They probably don't mind to eat the food here and pay for the price. That's totally fine, but I personally would like to eat brunch somewhere else but not here again.
The BEST asian fusion restaurant ive been to in Vancouver! Great menu with even better prices! Everything is delicious! I particularly enjoyed the duck wings. They just opened another location on E Broadway too!
They used to open for dinner but I guess not anymore.
Food was pretty good, the wait for it was long though. Similar to shishinori
Delicious and original food. Not cheap but good quality. Cauliflower is a favorite
MHMM... ~~ Just reminiscing about my experience at Heritage Asian Eatery has gotten me to start drooling. From my POV, they provide a delicious twist to Asian cuisine, specifically Cantonese. Which i enjoy dearly. Staying true to their roots while embracing the culture of time. Just like little old me.~
had the dumplings and bao very good but if only the bao was slightly bigger
Generous portions at a good value. We tried the following (from best to least enjoyed): 1. Cauliflower ($5) - AMAZING. I need to start making a list of the city's best cauliflower, this one would be near the top of the list. You get a HEAP load of cauliflower for $5. This was almost a meal in itself. 2. XLB Dumplings ($7) - There's a bit of a wait time for these to be steamed but it's well worth the wait. Juicy and thin-skinned. My only complaint is that the skin of the dumpling stuck to the bottom paper which caused some of them to rip. 3. Pork Belly Rice Bowl ($13) - Fatty portions of soft pork (melt in your mouth) with some fresh ingredients tossed in made this delicious and (somewhat) light. 4. DanDan Noodles ($12) - I was most excited to try this dish but ended up being disappointed as it was a bit too peanut-buttery for my liking. We did not anticipate the big portions for each order so we ended up packing up a lot of leftovers to take home. The guy at the front even asked us if there was going to be another person joining us. HA, no, we're just two gluttons. It's an eatery so you order at the front, find seating and wait for your name to be called. The self-serving water, cutlery, napkins, sauces and leftover take out boxes are handy and efficient. That doesn't mean that we didn't experience some great service while we're there though. Once the rush died down, one of the guys from the back came out to clean off the tables, offered to clean our trays and made sure we had a paper bag to carry our leftovers.
Unique and creative dish. Treated my taste buds.
Meal type
The duck and the salmon were really good but the rice could be better.
Everything is great~! I arrived earlier than expected and the owner took my order and prepare it before the store opens (I am sorry!) Pleasantly surprise how big the portion is as well as how good it is (I am Asian) - and the zucchini sticks definitely was a highlight. Can't wait to go back!!!!
This place serves fantastic food. My wife had the chicken bowl which was outstanding pleasant undertones of ginger. I had the shiitake Bowl with chicken the flavour combination is unique and addicting. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat in Van City
Their food is so bad. Oh my god. Can’t eat it. Super rude people too. I wish I was never here.
Good portions, very filling. Enjoyed the kimchi and yuzu cabbage. Pork was very flavourful but a bit too fatty for me to eat all of it. Food was a bit on the salty side but I didn't mind. The eggplant was tasty too!
A little on the expensive side for their portions and not a big selection
Rice bowls are a bit salty, but overall not bad.
Fantastic rice and noodle bowls. A quick meal spot with high end ingredients. Highly recommend the Dan Dan noodle bowl or the Salmon bowl as well as their Xiao Long Bao.
Went for an early lunch, which is better as the place was really filling up by the end of our lunch. Udon was good, but some of the bowls seemed a bit expensive, especially since everything is self serve.
Have visited Heritage a few times - it’s delicious! Prices are modest as the dishes have a decent amount of protein (meat dishes) packed in! We shared the duck (two ways) rice bowl, the Dan Dan noodle, and steamed dumplings between three people and we couldn’t finish it all - the portions are very fair. Loved the nice touch of cucumber to cool off the bit of spice of the Dan Dan noodle. The ginger soda is great if you like ginger like me! Atmosphere is casual - the venue is a quick eatery as most tables are in and out in well under an hour. Staff have always been friendly and knowledgeable of their offerings. Will be back!
Very busy during lunch hour but SO good. Had the pork belly rice bowl and it was amazing. A good amount of food but I dont feel stuffed.
I had the duck bowl - fantastic flavours, however the rice wasn't fully cooked (not as good compared to Chinese fusion restaurants) Would definitely give this place another try someday.
Delighted I decided to try this place. The shitake bowl was elegantly and warmly flavoured and clearly high quality. Filling and reasonably priced. Simple straightforward menu and cute decor with nice homey vibe.
Came here for brunch and enjoyed the duck benny bowl. Love their take on the potato hash.
Sad to say..... maybe visited at wrong time between chefs? Counter Staff took my order incorrectly. Watched as one dish sat on counter, even though only three other people in Restaurant.... eventually I asked "Is this mine?" to which a puzzled Staff member said "Yes!"... took my food. Found the Bowl Waaaaaay too salty for my tastes.... with a rather dreary cauliflower side, and an overpowered seaweed Udon... sorry to say left over half of our food........ worse was yet to come when I finally got to the privacy of my own bathroom! Oh my...........shame
Nice casual eatery. The steamed buns are kind of overpriced.
Fast and curtious staff. Food was excellent and a good portion size (had a duck rice bowl and steamed dumplings)
Delicious! Fast and courteous! Great toasted chili oil too
The food here was delicious! Staff was very friendly and our food was ready in no time
Ordered their “shiitake rice bowl”. Not a single shiitake mushroom in sight. They used regular cremini button mushrooms instead. Dish presented are completely different from what was described in the online menu. Lime cabbage slaw was substituted for blanched yau choy (kinda like Chinese broccoli). Used to be really good and flavourful, now it just feels they are cutting corners and not adhering to the menu. Sorry, I know covid hasn’t been kind to restaurants, but to advertise one dish and serving something quite different is not acceptable.
Their best dish is the duck rice bowl - the duck and the egg are the highlights. All their bowls have a good portion size and all the dishes have great flavoring. I ordered a pork belly rice bowl via ritual. The order was quick for pick up but it was missing an egg in the order. I ended up eating in the restaurant and was able to ask them to add in the missing egg. However, if I just picked up without checking, my order would have been incomplete. It never hurts to check your order if you order from Ritual.
Very delicious food. Great variety. Try the golden mantou with matcha condensed milk.
This Asian cuisine restaurant is great for family style lunch/dinner. The soy chicken was delicious, get some rice to go with it. Even for people doing individual orders, it is a great place because they have combo options. But when you go here, definitely order the dumplings as that is their specialty. There is plenty of options to choose from. The gai lan is a great order as the portion is big and it tasted really good!
Tried all signature dishes on the menu. Food is over cooked and source is not even balanced, I believe the chef wanted to pursue an Asian-Pacific Northwestern fusion but they lose both souls in their food. Not recommended.
Amazing restaurant in Coal Harbor. Very affordable for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Went for lunch and the service was quick. The Duck Rice Bowl was amazing. Highly recommend the bowl for a lunch or dinner for one person. Very filling. Also shared the chicken wings- so tasty- perfect amount of batter and spice. Shared the marinated eggplant side- delicious and great contrast of soft eggplant with the crunchy fried shallots. Cotechino Bao was tasty with the Kimchi Daikon. Will definitely go back to try the other baos and bowls!
I came in here around 6, wasn’t packed and all the tables are filthy. Chunks of meat and grease are all over the tables, so i had to clean the table myself. I dont even care about the food at this point....
Delicious weekend brunch
This place is just bad. I went two years ago and it was ok. I went by today paid $15 waited about 20 mins for my food. Another $5 in parking, just to have a over salted, bland dish of rice and meat. Will not be going back.
Wow! Try the duck bowl; savory and perfect.
Glad we found this little gem. Tried the duck bowl and the crispy dumplings and were blown away by the taste. Highly recommend.
Their menus were really good but felt unoriginal at the same time. .. .
Service
This spot constantly delivers. They serve excellent food for fair rates, there are no long waits even when they are busy.
The food was amazing. I was really surprised as it doesn’t look like much. I had the duck bowl. I would have given it 5 stars if they served beer. Definitely worth going back.
I expected much more from this place. Donuts are like dense pieces of bread that are sweet. If that's what you're expecting... Then great. But, the soft beignet texture with a slightly sweet powdered sugar is what you're really looking for... Then not here... Not even close. The bowls were okay. Dumplings meh. Bao meh. The best metaphor I can give for my experience there was it was numb; like they knew how to cook but everything I ate ended with me thinking... Oh something was missing. Best not to waste your money and just eat/drink something from melu juice beside them
Dine out was really good will try there other stuff if close by, their matcha mantou is very popular, must try.
It is nice food I have pork belly and duck bun.it is perfect full got lunch time.
Well cooked tender pork belly, fresh tasty egg. Could use a bit more greens...
I've been here before and really enjoyed the food but have to give it 3 stars because the last time I was there the rice wasn't cooked properly. Probably because it was during lunch and they do get very busy. But the rice was clumpy and under cooked. Very disappointing
I have been here many times. I would highly recommend the Duck Bowl and the Cauliflower on the side. Food is delicious, full of flavour, great for lunch and take out dinner. Only odd thing is sometimes I get charge 25 cents for the paper bag and sometimes I don’t. Only a very small amount but would be good if there is consistency.
Very busy during lunch hour-seems like a popular place among people working nearby.
Good Asian cuisine. Price is a little on the higher side though
Incredible Asian lunchtime eats! Always busy ????
I’m not a big fan of this western style Chinese food. But they did pretty good
I can’t believe they have 4.2 rating.. The server was friendly, but told him I ll dine in and I got my food in to go containers (even though i visited there 2 hours before they close).
I never really do reviews, but I just had to. This was honestly the worst meal I’ve had in a very long time. The meat in the bao buns was cold, the eggplant was a like eating a flavourless oily sponge, and the broccoli was served with a potion of gag reflex. I’d recommend going anywhere but here. Sorry guys.
Had the chicken bowl. Chicken was good, rest of bowl was disappointing.
Incredible value. High end flavours for a reasonable price. Hidden gem you must try.
Someone is going to have to explain to me why this place is called Heritage and why it's so popular. Decided to give the place a try during the Ritual food festival and I feel nothing but regret. The Dandan noodles were actually udon (so not reminiscent of the dish heritage), and the portion was so small that I had to have another meal afterwards. The Dandan noodle was served in those small containers you might see a side salad served in. If the food was fancier, you MIGHT be able to justify the smaller portions for the price. But not here, not with that they serve and certainly not for this "lunch" portion.
Not bad for a cheap asian lunch but if your a bit skeptic on asian food then go somewhere else
I really wanted to try this spot as I love duck meat. Due to so many great reviews I thought it would be at least ok. It was not. I spent $14 for the duck bowl and had to throw most of it away forcing myself to eat as much as I could to not have my money wasted. I expected the skin to be crispy but no. Duck is really fatty so if you don't at least crisp up the skin then you just have a mouthful of fat. Not appealing at all. To make matters worse, the seasoning is awful. I usually enjoy 5 spice but what they're using leaves a horrible aftertaste, not sure why. I also ordered chicken wings and they were covered in the same spice. I felt sick afterwards. Money wasted. Never going back.
Came here for brunch, food was decent, but it was a bit chaotic and it wasn't even that busy. Basically, you order and pick up from the counter at the back, and the tables arrangement/walkways don't flow, so you're in people's way wherever you stand. There's no order, sound travels and magnified because it's a very open space. Just the whole atmosphere isn't very welcoming.
Very tasty and good food. Unique dishes
Ok food. Bland. Wish menu stated chicken was NOT boneless! Staff clueless...
Best deal in town! Absolutely delicious! Their eggplant dish is superb
Good food a bit salty (duck bowl) but otherwise a nice meal.
Had the duck bowl, which was excellent! Want to come back and try more. Really great food for a take out counter.
I can't praise this place enough! These guys really know what they're doing. These baos and bowls are incredible (and I've had my share from across the globe)! Outstanding service every single time from the counter staff and chefs. Clearly working hard around the clock to serve up some amazing product. Well done Heritage
Ordered the pork belly rice bowl for 13 bucks before tax. It was tasteless and awful. Felt so ripped off. I wouldn't recommend this place and here's why: the rice was stale (they tried to hide the unsold leftover rice by mixing in some newly cooked rice) and the pork was definitely too salty (I've had pork belly rice bowls elsewhere and they were not as salty).
The food here was SO good, but my only gripe was that there wasn't any description of what was in the items, and it was far too crowded and quick-service orientated to feel comfortable asking about the choices. Go if you don't have any allergies to worry about, but beware if you do as they don't have anything listing what's in the dishes. I had the chicken bowl, and the chicken itself was awesome, juicy inside, perfectly fried skin outside. And that damn egg!!!!!! Impressive!!!
Cool spot but I did not love it overall. Vancouver has such great Asian. My expectations were perhaps too high. Pork belly bowl was kind of weird. Did not like the sauce. Wings were good. Dan Dan noodles ok. Eggplant bowl ok. Crispy tofu was really good. I’m not sure I’ll go back tbh. But it’s probably packed for lunch each day. I spent $100 for lunch for 4 people and would have liked glasses of ice with my drinks and offers of napkins etc.
Delicious food, creative bowls. I love this place
Awesome Asian food, if you are in Vancouver its well worth a visit. Cheap but more than cheerful! The ginger soda is quite fiery too so beware!! The duck was soft and excellently seasoned!
Amazing food, very friendly service, and nice chill vibe inside :)
Meal type
I went to Heritage Asian Eatery about a year ago. I had the duck rice bowl and I still have dreams about that dish. It was THAT GOOD. And really cheap for the quality. A must-visit.
Delicious. Previously I was not convinced that I like the typical Asian style rice bowl, but this place has changed my mind.
I visit this special place many times since I like the good air that is outline this place. The personel is extremely loving and skilfull. The service is exceptionally rapid. Most important, the food you eat is great. I frequent many times and I was always joyful. The payment is modest. I suggest this restaurant to all my friends.
Wow! The food here is so, sooo good! I had the super tender pork belly bowl with an extra serving of eggplant, and that was a winner! The bowls come with a shredded salad, pickled daikon, crispy onions over rice. My friend had the chicken version. We probably shouldn't have ordered the cauliflower, but that was the best-est! Show up at 11:30am or after 1pm to beat the lunch crowd.
Saw high reviews and came to give a try. Disappointed as the food was not good. Ordered chicken bowl, pork belly congee and beet salad. Chicken was super dry, and the congee was sour and spicy. Beet salad was good.
Trendy and upbeat restaurant. Modern Asian fusion dishes. Definitely must try it out if you're in the area. Go with the chicken bowl or pork belly bowl for your first time around, then experiment with other items on the menu after. Come early (before 11:45am) for lunch to beat the lineups.
I recently visited the Pender branch in downtown and I have to say that it was better than I expected. I decided to order a porkbelly rice bowl and a duck bao for lunch. The products were made of high-quality ingredients and a great diversity of flavors. I also loved this place for its service. I absolutely recommend it to the public.
I only had the opportunity to try one menu item but I already want to come back and try more. The udon is super tasty and has very unique flavours. The bao look really yummy too. The atmosphere is really nice and modern - try going after work so it's not overly busy, though. The only issue is some dishes are a little pricey, but nothing too over the top.
Food is authentic and healthy. Make sure you go early during lunch, as the lineup is usually insane.
Nice food, simple menu but everything was tasty. Unfortunately my order got mixed up a few times but I'll happily come back
It is so good I want to try every single item on their menu! Excellent wings and crispy dumplings.
This place is pack at lunch time, we order dandan undon, and other side dishes. We waited long time for our dish to come. And I find everything is too oily for my taste. The rice bowl look good though. I think the price is cheap for lunch option.
Great Asian fusion bao place in an area of downtown that seriously lacks great food option for lunch. Pick up any of their baos, their are equally amazing
It was mediocre at the best, they have dirty glasses and that place feel filthy look at their window's.
Came here for lunch once, coming again after 12noon for a quick lunch, the place was packed! Last time I had a very delicious salmon rice bowl right before the lunch rush, so it was done right. The salmon was light cooked so the inside is still raw and soft, absolutely one of the best cooked salmon I had in the past few years! This time, I hit the lunch rush, it was loud and feel the rush going in the kitchen. I ordered the pork belly rice bowl added a deep fried chicken cod seeing my friend had the chicken with lot of green onion ginger topping that I love! The turn down... 1) pork belly is skin on but so does HAIR! I had to plug some piggie hair off my pork belly... it was pretty unpleasant... 2) when I poke the fried bone in chicken thing with a chopstick to release heat, red blood juice came out, so I tear the chicken apart. Just as suspected, the meat closer to bone is still bright pink, not fully cooked, the meat is still attach to the bone, so definitely not fully cooked yet. Upside: Staff was very concern and understanding, willing to refund or to make a new one. I just took the refund and dash back to work. I would come back again but AVOID rush hours, so staff can be more attentive to the dishes.
Good Asian fusion. Food is not bad. The duck baos were not bad. I'd rather get the shiitake mushroom bowl or duck bowl again. Service could be better. They are friendly but not really welcoming. There is not much service as everything is self-serve anyway. I would go back for a quick lunch though.
We were there on the late afternoon of the Vancouver marathon, so place was practically empty. It probubly gets pretty busy and lively at lunch and in the evenings. Food was really good and totally worth a visit. Be warned if you are sensitive to hot/spicy/ food... some dishes are not marked as spicy (like bok choy), but have plenty of chili flavor.
AMAZING CHICKEN WINGS!!!! They have a mildly spicy Asian 5 spice crispy dry rub. I will be back for more! I commute 2 hours (round trip) to get these wings, and its worth the long drive.
Service is fast and staff is quite friendly. Went there for lunch on my on a Thursday. No line. Quality is ok and prices are good too. Ordered steamed dumplings on the side and was told that they will take 15 mins, which is fine. But then the main was ready in 5 mins and the dumplings arrived actually like 20 mins later when main was finished already... Would make more sense to delay main and give both together.
Was yummy but not super satisfying, a bit pricey too for what you get. The buns dipped in matcha is the best though.
Been to the heritage a few times, and enjoy the food. The bbq is great, and the spicy tofu is super tasty too! I have tried a few of the different dumplings they offer and while they are good, I think they are overpriced. They have an amazing chilli sauce, which goes amazingly with everything you order! We tried these peanut butter and sesame desert balls, which were decent but not really for me.
Love their golden mantou, but the second time I ordered through Ritual in the afternoon, and only had 4 pieces in the box and were overfried. From reviews it seems like there are supposed to be 5. Double check your takeout orders if that is the case. Otherwise, they're typically pretty delicious.
The rice bowl was amazing but I wouldn't get the noodels, baos, or dumplings
The food is very inconsistent. I had the duck confit there twice and it tasted of detergent the second time. The owners/ waiters there are too snobbish, I asked them to add the eggplant to a bao bun, something they had done in the past and served me and they said they couldn’t even when I told them this was done in the past and they could charge me extra and it was the same guy who had done it. Never going there again.
Pork belly bowl is always good here.
I'd been meaning to try this place for some time, and I finally did today! Cosy little spot, with a modern aesthetic, and quite lively during the office lunch hours. I had the duck bowl, which was fantastic, and will definitely be back to try out more of the menu!
Had the chicken rice bowl. Outstanding execution! A highly memorable Wednesday lunch.
Decent food for decent prices. Don't like the lineups.
This place is simply outstanding and always serves an amazing plate of food. It has something for anyone’s tastes. Never been disappointed coming here.
Was recommended that place and it fore sure did not disappoint. Had the Duck Rice Bowl which was delicious, fair pricing too.
My choice was bad, I chose very sweet duck but my girlfriend had something else and it was delicious.
This is a great Asian fusion restaurant located in downtown Vancouver. The service is fast and friendly. This place can get very busy over the lunch hour so it's best to try to get there early. The food is really good. I definitely recommend this place.
I really liked the food here. Got a pork belly bowl and would definitely have it again.
$5 cauliflower - generous portion and delicious
Simply delicious! Unique and tasty dishes.
I'd bow down to their bao, exactly what I was craving, cool spot, great bao
This place is known for their bowls with protein. The food is very good. There are times I wanted to pick up my pork belly bowl and eat from it. The pork belly is very tender and seasoned perfectly. When you combine the pork with the rice and slaw... it works perfectly. Both chicken wings and xiaolong bao is good. The prices are reasonable which you get 6 pieces of chicken wings and 6 Xiaolong Bao dumplings instead of other restaurants gives you either 4 pieces of chicken wings or dumplings. I have two criticisms with our meal. The seasoning for the chicken wings. For me, I felt it was a bit salty. Another issue is the Xiaolong Bao where the dumplings skin tears easily and some do not have the soup. However these criticism did not spoil the entire meal as I would give this resturant 4 and half stars not 4 stars only.
Its a nice hip spot for some good food. I thought all the good brunch places in Vancouver were discovered already but apparently not! I tried the duck Benny and it was delicious! Their hash browns are really unique and crispy too.
Portions aren't super generous and you leave feeling like a garbage can. The first few bites of my dan dan noodles was pretty good but by the end of it I was wishing I had gone somewhere else. The salmon bowl was raw, and not particularly fresh. Left my friend feeling suoer ill afterwards
delicious fusion Asian cuisine, love the interior, great place for light meal!
Delicious !!! The rice bowls are Simply Delicious with every single piece and part of it being mouth-watering and yummy. The egg is cooked perfectly. Nothing is better than having a Ramen cooked egg with your rice. The match condensed milk and fried buns are delicious as well. if you haven't had a chance to have a sparkling lemonade and like it really fizzy I would recommend you try their Yuzu or their lime drink that they make in house.
Nice twist on Asian food. I was surprised by the way they executed the eggs Benny's for brunch, it was unique and a pleasant change to the Benny's at other brunch places
This place is awesome for some Korean lunch
Lunch
Delicious. Quick service. A bit of a victim of its own success re: crowding and its tough to move around inside at peak times.
Found this place while looking for restaurants near Pinnacle Hotel, saw the reviews, decided to try it. A really short walk from the hotel (like 5 minutes) and it lives up to its reviews! Great food, casual ambiance and value for money prices! The choices are limited but each one is served in style. The food comes out looking great and tastes fantastic, asian fusion at its best, taking whats good in each cuisine and mixing them up together. The duck bowl is great! Eggplants are good too but a little on the spicy side. Got some fortune cookies and won a free order of spicy wings! ;) Overall, worth it to go and try this place!
We did the takeout family feast for 2-4 people. Finally a restaurant that fulfills our standards for portion sizes - enough for leftovers! Lots of variety and flavours, and chicken was very moist. Sesame seed balls were so tasty. This is a great Chinese food introduction for people who are freaked out by eating chicken feet, but don't want the typical "sweet and sour pork" or "General Tso chicken".
Got the chicken and the pork belly bowl. Both were incredibly bland. Also, eating the bone-in fried chicken in the bowl was so awkward. The baos were okay (got the shiitake and the duck). The duck wings were probably the best of all, but very lightly seasoned. All in all, not worth it.
Fast service, great food, cool atmosphere.
Pork Belly Bowl with Yuzu Soda is a delicious go-to
Chicken bowl was amazing! Great portion. Great price. Coming back for sure.
The selection of food is amazing for a counter service place. Duck, beef tataki, pork belly, shiitake, chicken legs, wings, eggplant, beet salad just to name a few. There is a few items for every one to try regardless of dietary needs.
Great place quick and tastes Awesome
Completely authentic cuisine!! And thoroughly enjoyed the ginger soda
I must say the food is plentiful and taste as good as expected. I ordered the pork belly rice bowl, duck rice bowl, eggplant rice bowl, pork belly bao, steamed xiang long bao, and deep fried cauliflower. My favorite rice bowl gotta be the duck one! Luckily we arrived right before lunch time, otherwise it would’ve been so packed! The overall experience was great, and the price was right on the money!
No services. Bad food. Every dish is salty. Even McDonald is a much better choice. Not Asian food at all.!!!!!
We love Japanese, Chinese and Asian fusion food and found good reviews on yelp, so this place was bound to hit the spot. We weren't disappointed. We ordered 3 pork belly bowls, the duck bowl, salmon bowl and shiitake mushroom bowl as well as some sides and dessert. The service was fast and meat portions very generous; we possibly over ordered and couldn't finish it all. The bowls came with refreshing yuzu slaw crispy yam 'noodles' for textural crunch and halved soy marinated eggs as well as house made kimchi. Delicious! Not only that, the handsome Stephen behind the counter gave us a complimentary matcha mantou (donuts in matcha condensed milk syrup) at the end as a "welcome to Vancouver" gesture. Awesome food, service and people. Highly recommended!
Everything was delicious and they have many interesting options
Quite decent Asian eatery. The food comes quickly and in good quantity. The rice bowls are surely not very original but are a good value.
Been here for lunch and dinner a few times. Good food but limited choices for vegetarians. The fried cauliflower is quite tasty!
Excellent service and food to match. The person helping us at the counter really took the time to explain things and delve into what goes into the food. 10/10 I will come back
Decent portion Decent price for most of the items The duck bowl price is high But worth since it's the only place you can get the fried duck leg Good place for lunch break around the area
Would go back again after a long day playing outside in the mountains! Cheap, quality and quantity = amazing. Order any Bao sandwiches or Dim suns.
The bowls here are so yummy and flavourful! I ordered the pork belly and it was a bit too fatty for my tastes. It came with alot of rice so it's a great meal if you're absolutely starving. The duck was delicious as well. The bowls are plated very nicely. It's a bit far from any transit stations but worth the walk. Do keep in mind it's a bit of a self serve place, order at the till and the food either brought over to you or placed on the counter, depending on who's working.
We had the Dan Dan Udon and the eggplant rice bowl. Both were too salty for our taste, but otherwise had nice flavor notes. I enjoy the salty broth of ramen, bit the salt level on both of the dishes were a bit too much. We also overheard another patron beside us comment that the food treated saltier than before. Be sure to try to come just before or after the noon lunch rush, as it gets quite busy and the seats fill out right away.

Got the runs after eating here. Food was pretty over priced for what they were serving.
First time here. Friendly staff. Easy menu. Got the pork belly bowl to be on the safe side. I think the flavor and quality to be authentic but i should have gotten something more to my liking whereas pork belly is pretty typical in chinese dishes.
Worth every single cent, I got the pork belly bowl, it was incredible. Even the egg was perfect. I'll be taking my friends here as soon as I can
I guess this place is naive to religion, no matter how good your food is, if you can’t accommodate for your customers religious background you are clearly lacking. First and last experience.
I think this place is overrated. I have been thinking about trying this place for a long time because of all the good reviews they have had. Came here on lunch hour over the weekend. I was quite disapointed. To be honesty, the food here is mediocre, not outstanding but it gets by. Portion is relatively small (2slices of pork belly for the bowl) Worth to mention that this place operates like a food court than a restaurant. This just means that.. don't expect to have any services (there's no server on the floor). So...get your own water and clean your table after you are done...
Great food but busy place - go after 1pm
I had the Duck Bowl and Pork Belly Bao and both were fantastic. I was impressed with the Duck Bowl as I got both duck breast and shredded duck meat. The sauce was not too sweet and blended perfectly with the rice, the slaw and the taro chips. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. It was soft, juicy and fatty. I really enjoyed the texture as well as it the Bao was topped off with fried onions and a sauce that elevated the flavour. I'll definitely go back to try other bowls!
Delicious food, really liked the BBQ duck
Simple, wholesome, tasty asian inspired bowls and good value. Good vegetarian options as well. Ear in or take out. Friendly, efficient service.
This place is so poorly managed. We waited 45 minutes for our food. They blamed a steamer machine only after we approached them to ask where our food was as we noticed everyone else was being served. All staff in the kitchen seemed so confused when asked about our order as well. Would never go back nor recommend it for lunch, no matter how good it is.
Awesome lunch spot. I love the eggplant bowl - great helping of eggplant with perfectly cooked eggs. The tofu side is huge - recommend sharing it. Like the beverages too - ginger soda or lime iced tea are very refreshing.
Great tasting food and very friendly staff... Very quick to fill orders during lunch rush on weekend
The food was great, and served quickly. I like that they have tasty vegetarian options.
Great food. Sometimes plays really annoying rap, sometimes plays good rap. Well worth it overall.
I tried the dan dan noodles, it wasn't bad. But they were not dan dan noodles. It was udon noodles and pork soaked in chili oil with a just a little bit of peanut sauce, I think the ratios were a little reversed there. It's as if whoever made this recipe has never had dan dan noodles in their life.
Had the steamed dumplings which are actually Xiao long baos and awell as green tea mantou. The mantou tastes good by itself and the green tea flavoured dip is sweet. I wasn't expecting much from the dumplings but I enjoyed them. They also came with sauce to dip. This place always has a line during lunch
The food tastes as good as it looks!
Heard a lot of good things about this place and it definitely did not disappoint on my first visit! Loved the food, good portion sizes and reasonable prices
Had the shitake bowl. Pretty good value for money. Place was full but had no problems finding a seat.
You can’t go wrong here, although the tofu is a must try
I got a mushroom rice bowl to takeout on a weekday lunch. As soon as I was handed over the surprisingly heavy box I knew that I was going to be very full after lunch! The mushrooms were tasty, slightly bouncy & plentiful and I enjoyed the deep fried zucchini sticks as well. Also I love eggs with the "jammy" centre so this lunch ticked all the boxes of being delicious, healthy & filling. I would definitely come here again!
Finally got to check this place out. Server greeted me with a howdy - i dig it. Got the dandan udon plus duck on a ritual offer. This place did not fail to please. Stoked
Really good spot. It does get busy during lunch, but the wait is well worth it. Tasty vegetarian options. Would highly recommend getting a bunch of food and sharing with a friend so you have the opportunity to taste everything. The Cauliflower side is a must!
Awesome tasty quality food in a relaxed space.. this place is a little gem.
Really tasty and lots of options on the menu. Tried bao and a rice bowl. Quick tasty food and a nice vibe.
Cozy, convenient little place here. It is arranged like a food court where you order your food at the cashier and wait for your name to be called. There are water on the side with glasses and take out boxes so you can help yourself to them. Food is mediocre. I got their pork belly which I find too much lean meats with and slightly on the harder bite. Their matcha mantou is delicious though and I will go back for this.
Totally taste it good. But my hash browns was burn. Taste a little bit beitter.
Absolutely delicious. I got the Dandan noodles (photo at the bottom) was super soft udon noodles. Other photo was eggplant rice bowl with tofu. - my friend loved the combination and would get it again!
We had the pork belly bowl, beef papaya salad special and wings. The wings we found were okay but both the others were really good. We will try some other items next time, like the baos and meat or XLB.
Yum. Ordered soy chicken. Wasn't dry which is good.
It's fusion Asian food on ecstasy. It takes the best of different Asian dishes and combines it in one bowl while balancing all the flavours. I had the chicken bowl and there wasn't one thing that I didnt enjoy. The salad was refreshing, the coconut rice had great aroma. I liked the touch of deep fried taro bits and the ginger scallions on deep fried chicken instead of the regular boiled chicken. Too bad the containers are not compostable. I did like choice of spoon, just like you would get in HK takeout rice.
We stopped here on our way to the North Shore a couple years ago because the photos on Instagram looked amazing. Unfortunately, that’s the only good thing I can say about the place. They had nothing on the menu stating that everything is a special during the weekday lunch time. The place was very dirty and the food was awful. I would never go back.
Great food, fast service. Reasonable prices and good portions. My fave would have be the cotechino bao, house udon, duck bowl, and all the sides are amazing. The place gets packed right at lunch best to go a bit earlier or later to avoid line ups.
Visited here many times for lunch and love their chicken bowl. This is the first time I met some problems with their fried chicken, but owner contacted me and treated it very serious. Now the issue solved and I'm glad to see the owner took actions to prevent this happen again.
very greasy food, but the taste was not bad!
Their baos and fried mantous are pretty good! Their fried chicken wings however are a bit too salty and have this weird texture to it so I would pass on those the next time I stop by
Expected more from the bao. The pork belly meat was barley noticable.
