Its been almost a year since I've eaten here and I still can't get over how delicious the food was! I loved that my friends and I accidentally stumbled upon this place for lunch while sight seeing. The place is so modern and cozy. The people and staff were really friendly and funny. They helped recommend dishes and give me an idea of what I might like. AND THE DRINKS WERE AMAZING!!! From the frosé to Kyoto Fizz and to the Moscow Mule.... ???? I'm ready to book my flight from LAX straight here!

Amazing outdoor dining experience amidst the new COVID-19 restrictions in British Columbia. Cactus Club’s Burrard location was excellent in every facet. Everything started and ended with the amazing service by Lamanh. Lamanh was wonderful in not only ensuring we were looked after but she went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was top notch on my 30th birthday. We went there for our office lunch. They sat five of us and a booth for four people. I spent my lunch sitting halfway on the bench the other half of me was somewhat hanging off the edge of the seat. The food was good, the service was okay in a restaurant that was somewhat busy. Sadly the only thing I can remember about this experience, was being uncomfortable for the hour and a half that we were there.

Poke bowl is delicious and our server was great and very attentive. Could do a better job in setting up the wait list. There's only one way in and out so you go in line to get on the wait list, then go back out to wait for the text message that your table is ready then you go back in the same line to go back in which is idiotic. A stand should just be set up outside to take the wait list. Only time people should go in is if they get a text that their table is ready.

We ordered a jalepeno margarita was good, but also a chardonay. We were brought our drinks like this, first the margarita and then 3 mins later, the wine. The wine had a weird look to it and smelled peachy. Almost seemed like the wine was mixed with juice! So we had to flag attention to the waitress as service was very slow. She finally replaced the wine. It took a total of 15 minutes to get the Chardonay and then they charged us full price. It's too bad, other establishments take a little more responsibility for their errors.

This place was great! I was in Vancouver on business and ended up coming here twice. The second time our service was a little slow, but it was lunch rush, so it was understandable. Both times the servers were super nice and helpful, the food was excellent, and it was a decent price. I'll inevitably be in Vancouver again, and I'm sure I'll come back here!

I ordered some food for to go, spicy ahi roll, cheddar bacon burger and was very nice, good tast, good portions, and looks good. But what I did not like was the teriyaki chicken rice bowl the sauces in there it wasn't bad but it wasn't good. I really do not like that.

We were there last Saturday, and we really enjoyed the late-night happy hour. It was very busy around 11pm, but we didn't wait long for a table. Tried the Kyoto fizz and it was very good - looks just like its picture, and the sprig of thyme adds a really nice flavor. Delicious appies (we had flat bread and truffle fries) and love that they were on the $4 and $8 happy hour items. Topped it all off with the apple gallette - yum! Liselle was our server, and she was very nice and efficient.

Mmmmmm amazing food here and the drinks I ordered I've never tasted such a great concoxtion of flavor if I didn't get the brain freeze it would be one of those drinks I'd get blasted on bcuz it tastes so unbelievablely Delicious their chicken wings were so filled with flavor and they were so fresh and not over cooked and the Yam fries were what complimented everything together I really enjoyed my dinner here and I will definitely be back. There was just a short 20 minutes to wait for a table and it's worth every minute to wait FANTASTIC PLACE WITH GREAT FOOD!

The service is good as per any cactus, the outdoor patio was open, decent location, but views aren't spectacular just ok. The food itself was pretty oily but amazing! I had the blackened chicken breast, super yummy!

The Cactus on Burrard is perhaps the worst of them all. Most of them are pretty decent, sometimes they may even be great for happy hour on a quiet day. But Burrard is filled with callous people - waitresses who lack dignity and will pander to old men to make a couple dollars more at the expense of serving their other customers.

I’ve been at several Cactus Club locations and Cactus is one of my favorite restaurants, but yesterday I went to the Bentall location and my experience was amazing thanks to our server Felipe which provided us a friendly and outstanding service. I think when something is great is worth sharing. The food and drinks were really good but this 5 stars review it’s just to say thank you to our server Felipe ???????? You made our night yesterday!

Great happy hour selection! I ordered steak and frites which was also part of happy hour menu; however, i always found cactus steaks to be bit chewy (even though i had mine cooked medium rare) than other chain restaurants such as earl’s and keg steakhouse. But their signature burger, the Feenie burger never disappoints. Always juicy and packed with classic flavor ???????? Always busy and lively with people coming in from office towers nearby so if you prefer more quiet atmosphere, maybe avoid the happy hour.

Plenty of servers considering that indoor dining is closed and only patio seating is open. And yet, the food was crawling out at a snails pace. Perhaps they should’ve kept more kitchen staff instead of waitresses. We waited over 20+ minutes for them to cut a slice of cheesecake, even after asking our server repeatedly for it as we needed to head to something after. Ridiculous. Didn’t help that the manager on the floor seemed more interested in chatting up a couple tables than ensuring service was smooth and efficient for everyone else. Thumbs DOWN

Worst experience of the trip so far. From the carbonized mini hamburgers (see picture!)to the tasteless Moscow mule and almost pre made poke bowl. No idea if this was a bad day or if it's regular but we won't be back.

Small plates big flavor would be my description of this visit. My wife had butternut squash ravioli/prawn duo and I had a burger with truffle oil tossed fries and garlic aioli. Awesome service by Nicolette and peanut butter crunch bar dessert to go.

Food was above average, bellini was awesome. The extra star are purely for the bellini and food. Service was mediocre, not that the waitresses weren't nice but they seem rushed, didn't come around to chat or ask anything missing on purpose, en passant sure. I was with my friend, didn't separate the start plates, missing napkins for the second plate, food take too dam long, took the cutlery with the finished starter. No attention to detail, didn't make you welcome and at place. The order questions answers were rushed, didn't pay attention to what you are saying and mixed up your side dish wich is the final straw. Lack of attention to detail, rushed speaking and getting you out of there and get done. It was toward closing times but at least have some standard of patience and at least have the baseline service of getting plates in front of you and separate it without having anything missing and attention. Perhaps I will try another location since my friend love the food there, but this location is off my map.

Bad experience! My wife and I tried to have dinner as it was near our hotel and it was raining really hard. We didn’t have a reservation but there was a lot of empty tables. The hostess checked our vaccination card and ids but told us to wait outside in the rain for 30 minutes!!! We asked if we can stay in the patio area but insisted we wait outside. Very disappointing and inconsiderate of the hostess!!! Thankfully, we found a better place, the Grain, who welcomed us even without reservation and didn’t ask us to wait outside the rain!

Can't beat the Cactus Club for Happy Hour. Menu gives you lots of opportunities to choose just the item you were craving for. Service is always friendly and professional. My favorite place to hit in Vancouver! The bartender Maddie is pretty much the reason we have lived here over the past 4-5 years. She is attentive, happy, and absolute blast to be around. She makes this place feel like home. The lettuce wraps are the best appy in my opinion. And as for a meal - tofu bowl all the way!

Quick seated,staff friendly and know what to do on the right time,food tasty and price reasonable,just 2 funny things happened with us at that restaurant,me and my wife both order same grilled salmon order but my wife salmon piece almost twice mine ....lol. I didn't bother since everything else going well but come on sheff ,how that could happen specially two plates for same table????. One more funny thing,all tables had candle light except our table,my wife ask for one as give romantic feeling,waiter bring one to our table but just last for couple minutes then turned off by itself,honestly waiter quickly replaced it by her self by new one which prove to me that she keep her eye on everything and handle it at minor time which I give her a lot of credit on it and that's why decided to give full 5 stars.

Cactus Club Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver to meet up with friends and family members. The servers are always professional and attentive. Foods are constantly good. I went to this location for the first time last week with my friend. I wanted to introduce her this chain of Cactus Club Cafe since she never had never tried it before. We chose this location because it is nearby the skytrain station which was convenient for us after a long day shopping in downtown. We did not book for a reservation but we were happy to wait for an hour to get in. We got a table on the patio, it was heated and cozy. However, we were not happy with the Peppercorn steaks. Steaks tasted not fresh at all which ruined my experience here. We don’t want to come back this location again!

Went on a cold winter night but sat outside with the heater on. The place was cozy, people were friendly. The food was as usually amazing. Ordered the Feenie burger substituted with the truffle fries. The food arrived warm and very delicious. The foods taste great. The Truffle Fries that I had was one of the best! Modern Bowl with Glazed Salmon taste incredible. Spaghetti and calamari was decent. Because of the Covid, Everyone will be dining at the Patio except if you reserve a table, they will move you to a warmer place ???? I will still give it 5-Star for the amazing service. First the reason for the 3 stars: had the jambalaya bowl. Delicious! Nice interior decor. Only 5 min wait to seat 2 even on a weekday. Two stars off: Ok I'm just gonna be direct here. What is up with the all female server staff wearing skin tight black dresses and mini skirts and 3 inch heels? I meaaannn I get this attire at a club or bar but 12pm on a weekday? A bit excessive. I understand the management wanting the staff to stand out; well it IS possible to look attractive and classy without asking your servers to dress this way. I can imagine their response that they can't write here; "well duh. We're going for sex appeal. We want to attract the guys in suits that come here for lunch." ALL RIGHTY, if that's the case: how about hiring some tall, handsome men and putting them in some tight suits for us female guests?! Hahaha. Anyway, in all seriousness, I get it. The restaurant can do what they want. Guess I don't have to go to Vegas casino floors to see tackily dressed servers. ::Shrug:: Addendum: on a positive note, someone from their leadership team did contact me and inform me that what I saw is not necessarily their expectation for dress code. That they do aim for professional and sophisticated so she will follow up with the management team. I appreciated her call and time and am glad she plans to take some action. Thank you!

Classic cactus service and food, you can’t really go wrong at a cactus. We had reservations for 9pm but we decided to see if they could seat us earlier and they were able to accommodate us at their heated patio. Very much appreciated that. Their patio is also the perfect people watching spot. We ordered from their dine out menu which in my opinion is one of the best bang for your buck option. I had crispy prawn roll to start, creole chicken as my main and the apple tart for dessert. The Mr. had the butternut ravioli to start the steak for his main and cheesecake for dessert. It was all very tasty. I also ordered the Tokyo spritz to drink and the description of the drink and how I imagined it was definitely better than how it actually tasted. It wasn’t bad but I won’t be necessarily be ordering it again.

Table for one probably means don't check up on the table. Hostess wat me down at 5:58pm and reminded me that I had 2 mins before Happy hour ended. Except server came 3 mins after Happy Hour, oh well. Then, I ordered no Egg white on my margarita. Yay, it came with egg whites! I've been looking for her and she never showed up until I asked the hostess to grab my server at 6:20pm. $11.50 for a margarita with egg white. Manager did come after I posted this to take care of my bill.

The service here was great, as expected. Always felt comfortable with the server and they check in to make sure everything is okay. We ordered calamari, prawn spaghettini (forgot to snap this one), and steak frites. The first two items were tasty and fine but unfortunately, they missed the mark with the steak. I asked for my steak medium rare ; It came out more on the medium side. I believe the sous chef confirmed it was medium when the server brought my steak back to the kitchen. The server was very nice getting us another full plate of steak frites but the second steak came out medium to medium-well. I thought I was going crazy but our server also thought the steak wasn't right. At this point, I didn't want it anymore. Server and manager came to apologize for the steaks and asked what they can do to compensate. Asked for a free dessert for my girlfriend since it was her birthday. They were also considerate when they offered to take the steak off our bill. Service here is excellent, and I know they can do better with the food.

Fast service. Extremely loud, it was hard to hear others in the group in a conversation. When boxing up food to go, they just gave a box. Food was good, sushi and steak was a cool mix. The steak was pre-cut, so that made it super easy to eat. Didn't take long to get a table. Seating was comfortable. Convenient location.

However, wasn’t happy with the Robs Crispy Chicken Sandwich. They need to change this or take it off the menu. The menu says it’s spicy panko crusted, and it wasn’t a spicy sandwich at all. The chicken slice I got was massive and extremely filling. But it just tasted dry and not full of flavours. Needs to have a bigger kick to it this sandwich taste way too plain. Another negative experience I had here was the toilet flush was way too powerful. As I walked into the stall my presence triggered the motion sensors on the toilet and as I stood water from inside the toilet flushing splashed up and hit me in the face which was nasty. I normally don’t comment on things like this but I figure this should be addressed as it ruined my experience here. Everything else was great about this place. The sushi is absolutely amazing and perfect. I would no doubt come back here!

We were visiting from Toronto and tried going here for dinner on August 17, 2021 and asked for a table for five, with a one year old baby in tow. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait so waited outside for almost 40 minutes. When we went in to check the status, the girl at the counter said we would be next in line and she was waiting for the table to be freed up. After another 10-15 minutes, my son went in to check again. This time a different girl was at the counter and said that there was another party ahead of us and that she wasn't sure when we could get in. When my son told her about the earlier conversation and us being next in line, she gave some roundabout answer about reservations being mixed up etc. She was totally unapologetic and discourteous, with no regard to the fact that we had been waiting outside for over an hour and had a little baby with us. We told her we were leaving due to this attitude but she couldn't care less. Racist perhaps??? Our family has decided to never visit any of their locations after this experience.

Chill vibe, cool young crowd, decent food, great drinks, and good service. Prices are fair and pretty affordable. I personally like their gin summer spritzer and their dijon salmon (Lois Lake steelhead, if you're wondering) served with butter mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. For parties of 2 or more, you need reservations, but solo folks can usually find a place at the bar during the evenings without much of a wait (if any).

I've had the chance to come a second after the previous experience. I am very impressed at how much my experience has improved ever since. My friend and I were seated at the perfect spot where we were able to chat and still listen to the music, that was really great. The food was delicious and came at the right time. Stella is an amazing staff, provided one of the best customer service I've seen at various Cactus clubs. She was able to observe when we would be done with our dishes and help us clear it up right away. The washroom was also very organized and clean despite being a Friday early evening. Thanks to this experience, I am going to come back again to this specific location next time.

This was the BEST Cactus meal we’ve had in a very long time if not ever!!! We sat on the patio, it was heated and super cozy. Tried the holiday dinner for 2, a great value we thought. Starter, 2 mains and a dessert for $60!! The chicken was cooked to perfection, just so good!! Had the grapefruit Paloma which was very good with just the right amount of sweetness. Our waitress was very sweet, tended to us at the perfect times and had great recommendations.

We were in Vancouver for two nights and ended up eating here twice since we enjoyed our meal so much the first night. My wife really enjoyed the crusted shrimp wrap and my cheddar bacon burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Service was great with friendly waitresses. Atmosphere was loud but very upbeat. My partner and I went for steak and were highly impressed with the service, food quality, and at this location the presentation of the food . The cactus chain is quite consistent with good service and food but our perfectly cooked steaks looked like dishes befitting a more expensive fine dining experience. We were also told by our server that they were busy and food may be longer than normal. The wait time was reasonable yet the manager herself apologized for the wait. Excellent all around and my new favorite.

Oh my god, what will be the best here - the food or the city views? The Avacado sushi is the best one can ever try! We ordered some burgers, pasta and the brownie which were great too! The service is amazing but maybe a little slow considering the amount of guests. Do make reservations before popping in to avoid the wait and enjoy the delicious menu!

We went here and got amazing service from Treya. She wasn't even our server, but went above and beyond to deliver drinks, clear dishes and be friendly. There was some confusion about who our server was, but instead of us leaving frustrated, she made to for it! We had drinks, guac and a power bowl, all very good. Would recommend! Kudos to Treya again!! Keep this server. A+

The Cactus Club Cafe at Burrard is another location of this very successful chain, and offers the same menu and high levels of service experienced at their other restaurants. This one in particular might not offer the spectacular views that the Coal Harbour location does; however, it's conveniently located in an area surrounded by office buildings and retail areas. Finding a place to park was not easy, specially with streets around it blocked to car traffic. But that said, parking was found a block away. Food was quite good, even if reading the menu was a bit hard on account of the very dim lights there. Otherwise, a very nice experience. Service superb, prices reasonable! Worth a visit!

Me and my wife Juliana were mesmerized by the service Anna provided us. She was extremely kind, polite, professional and awesome, always on top of everything we needed. She had the menu all figured out and was pivotal on our decision making for our food. And talking about the food, I had the Happy our Dijon Salmon which was absolutely fabulous and Juliana had the Steak Frites medium rare which she loved. Absolutely fantastic experience with perfect food and service. Once again wanna thank Anna for everything and making our night out even better.

Cactus club is my go to place during their happy hour, as the food and drink deals are reasonable. It usually isn't too busy during these hours either, making it easier to get a table. I had the most amazing burger here! The meat was fresh, not frozen, and all the ingredients just meshed well together. It was a simple burger with ketchup and mustard but the meat was definitely the star of the dish. My husband loved the chicken sliders and the French fries were really good too.

I am not happy with how my group was treated yesterday at the Cactus Club Cafe Bengal 5. I booked tables in advance and as I know large groups are discouraged, I booked 3 tables of 4 guests. The manager called me the day of the event and told me I am not allowed to book 3 tables of 4 and suggested that we split it up into one table of 6 and another table of 4. Well that was a huge inconvenience to me and my group, not only that she got the time totally wrong. She booked one table for 3:45 and the other table for 6:45pm! My original reservation was for 3:30pm. But for some reason even though the restaurant was 3/4 empty at that time, and we are just meeting for 1 hour over happy hour, she booked us in at the wrong time. My question is WHY? I had a group of 12 meeting and we were totally fine to sit at different tables like adults respecting covid protocol, but she was convinced we would run around "mingling" like high school students, and was very condescending when I told her we are not intending to mingle between tables, we just don't want anyone to have to sit alone. In the end 2 of my guests were turned away as they didn't want to sit alone and there was no seat for them, all of this took place in a massive two story restaurant with full balcony that was mostly empty and full of empty chairs! This experience completely ruined our meeting was was embarrassing to me, the host. Not only that the wait staff was curt, and rude. At one point a server placed 5 glasses of beer down directly in front of ONE customer, to distribute for the table, it was very awkward, and then without saying a word she just turned around and walked off. Never going back here.

If I could give zero starts I would. Overall, very unprofessional staff especially the waitress. I was there today around 6pm with my cousins and was treated by the most disrespect by our waitress (I think her name was Angela)! While we were waiting for our cousin, we noticed our waitress go up to the host team talking very poorly about us! The host team started talking as well as giving us necessary looks. When we complained to the manager, he did not seem to care and the host (the one with the blonde hair) rolled her eyes right in front of him. I have worked in restaurant industry for 5 yrs and was taught proper costumer service skills and I can say that this was not taught at Burrard cactus. In short, my cousins and I will no longer be attending any cactus locations.

We had an outstanding lunch at the cactus club cafe . The hot wings were so authentic spicy and succulent , that we ate every last one. The burger was absolutely super - delicious fresh quality beef and cooked to perfection - definitely a must return place. Great customer service experience. We visited this location for a couple of cocktails before heading back to our hotel. As it was happy hour on a Saturday afternoon, the lounge was very busy. Our server was terrific and our drinks were all great, highly recommend the Spicy Blackberry Margarita and the Whisky Ginger Smash BTW. Turned out that during our second order the bar dishwasher gave out and flooded the bar tenders pit, resulting in our drinks being late. None of us even said a word about it, we were enjoying ourselves, and not in a rush. Eventually the day lead manager and server came by and apologized for the delay and comped our round. Nice touch, very much appreciated. Shows they care about the customer experience. To our server and the manager, you know who you are....thank you!

There were lots of tables available but only a couple had proper shade - it was hot in the late afternoon sun.

Went to cactus club and sat on the patio which was actually warm and cozy considering the weather outside. Our server, Leah, was amazing. She made sure our drinks were always full and was knowledgable about the menu. The food was great! We were there during happy hour and they had good deals. The music they were playing was awesome and definitely made for a fun atmosphere on a Saturday night! Would definitely recommend checking out this location.
