Always nice having a meal in Cactus, it's not the most amazing restaurant experience but it's consistent and a solid choice for most
I love the chicken lettuce wrap and the burgers. If you would like to try chicken lettuce wrap, I recommend Park Royal that has the best of all. If you prefer to enjoy the sunset, English Bay branch is amazing.
Good food and prices. Short wait to be seated. Great staff, very helpful and courteous. The food was great. I had the chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. We also had the Cajun chicken burger which was also great. Teriyaki rice bowel was also great. Overall a great dinning experience. There was lots of parking outside and a great area to wait outside that was covered and heated. There was plexi glass in between the booths and tables which was great and comforting. I have been going there for years and will continue to go there for many more.
The staff and ambiance here are always welcoming and great. Their covid protocols made me feel comfortable and our hostess Alexa was very helpful and made the wait outside more enjoyable. I recommend it!
Amazing experience at Cactus Club. Our server, Dean, was a real eager beaver! Such a nice, charismatic and helpful young buck. He was very accommodating to my simple friend from Saskatchewan. Someone give Dean a promotion!
The service was great, friendly servers that were very polite and helpful. Truffle fries was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Loved the passion fruit Bellini, gorgeous drink on the happy hour menu, too good to be true. Ordered the millionaires cut steak for my main course which I loved, it was cooked to my perfection, the shrimp was perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing, my mashed potato and broccoli were cold which was a down point for a dish on a higher price point, I’d expect my dish to be perfection when I order the most expensive dish on the menu. Over all it was a good experience.
Its been 3 years since my last visit here as i normally go to a very near competitor. 2 buddies and i hiked the Griuse Bluff trail and came to restore some calories! We were quickly seated and service eas excellent. My Bacon Angus burger was tops! I ordered a split- fries/ ceasar- for $2.50 abd though tasty, a majorly miniscule portoon of both. I actually feel I paid extra to get less, that's a new feeling i don't like. Plentiful, attentive and well dressed staff with excellent tasting food makes this a really solid option I recommend. Decent patio and they get my Go There nod!
We are a repeat customer to this location and had a reservation for 9:30 PM to celebrate our 6th anniversary, we called the restaurant twice to confirm that we can bring our puppy to the patio and both times they said it’s no problem. When we arrived the team didn’t provide service to us and told us we need to leave our little puppy outside the restaurant which we couldn’t as he is still very young. It was 9:30 the night before Canada day and everywhere else was booked and we couldn’t make other arrangements for our puppy at that time of night, it was a very very frustrating experience and fully ruined our anniversary.
Excellent customer service and Covid precautions. Food, as always is great. Staff was patient with the kids and the mess they created. The one thing I did notice was the big screen projectors the were playing sports were not looking well. The projector or lamps definitely need replacing. For that reason is the 4 of 5 stars.
Cactus club is very consistent in it's delivery of chef Rob Feenie's creations! We love the tuna stack: the balance of fresh fish with avocado and the crunch of fried wontons-yum! We treat ourselves to Cactus club when we're just too tired to make dinner, and it never disappoints!
Great Service. Food arrived on time, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
I used to love Cactus Club Cafe and I would go there every single time I'd go to Park Royal, which is A LOT. Today I was told I couldn't enter the restaurant despite being vaccinated both doses and showing pictures of every single piece of ID I have ever had (like I do for any other restaurant), because I had forgotten my purse and didn't have a physical ID. My husband and I were supposed to meet up there for dinner, so being refused to enter was insulting. Even if there is a new policy that requires me to show a physical ID instead of scanned pictures, they should have still let me in with a reminder to bring it from now on, because as I said I am fully vaccinated and nowhere else has ever rejected me for not having physical ID. Let's just say Cactus Club will not be a future option for our date nights ever again.
Got the holiday special - one appetizer and two mains. Sushi was okay, nicely plated but taste was just alright. The burger was a bit too salty but good flavour. Spaghetti had 6 prawns in it, lacking in tomato sauce and tasted a bit greasy. The special was good value for the food, don’t think I’d pay full price on a regular day.

Recently went here and got a steak. Ask for medium rare and got a raw stake. I usually son't complain when my stake is a little bit undercooked but this time it was way too undercooked. They took it back and gave me a new stake which was medium instead of medium rare. Besides that everything was great.
Good food....love the selection of appetizers, and good service at this location. Must visit. Nice patio too
The food and drinks were amazing, and even for a Friday night at 8pm, only a 10 minute wait. One draw back was no designated kids menu, but they had some great suggestions for things for kids, including the option for plain pasta with butter. Just ask them for options if you need something for kiddos.
Reasonable price, high quality of food, and good taste of presentable cuisines all enable Cactus Club Cafe to enjoy great popularity before as well as during pandemic. This is a blissful restaurant where customers are joyfully chatting in a low voice while background music is softly murmuring in the air. Once I was seated, my mood immediately integrated into the happy stream. The sirloin steak I had was the best - much, much more delicious than the Oscar steak I had had in a renowned steakhouse! It was sirloin, but it was as tender and juicy as tenderloin; it didn’t need any sauce nor salt or pepper to go with - it was pre-marinated, incredibly tasty and aromatic! Surely, I will visit Cactus Club Cafe again before long!
A Vancouver favorite for premium casual dining! Happy hour has really nice cocktails and finger foods, all well priced. Prawn rolls, chicken quesadillas, yam fries, and mini burgers are all very good. In fact I would say burger sliders are among the top two best burgers in town that I have tried. Not sure if the regular burgers are as tasty, I haven’t tried those, but minis are better than steakhouse burgers. The sauce that comes with quesadillas is so out of this worldly that I wanted to eat everything with it! I would definitely go back if I’m in the area. This is probably one of the best tree locations of Cactus club (with other two being the English Bay and Convention Centre locations).
Amazing experience at Cactus Club on Saturday evening.Special thanks for five star services from Jerry.
The restaurant managed by Julia is just terrible, they forget the things, give you wrong items just waist your time and money and after made you mad, just say oh sorry, and next time it happen the same again. It's creazy, who should control this situation?

Cozy feel, busy and feels crowded, very warm and friendly staffs, the food tastes great. Always happy to go to any cactus club at happy hours and dinner. Update on 28 Apr 2021: went 2 weeks ago, usual busy patio dining only and the ladies washroom was filthy, and disgusting and unattended. Amidst pandemic, toilets should be welll attended by a designated cleaner. Have to call the attention of our waiter as it's really unacceptable. Worse than being in a PNE public washroom, like really unbelievable condition and never saw a washroom so dirty and unkept! Should have been penalized for even opening! And with this, I don't think I'll come back to this branch (park Royal) for awhile now! As I now know this branch is not paying attention to Covid safety and precautions! Avoid this branch!!!
Loved the food, the chicken lettuce wraps are fantastic. Great summer patio.
Food is always delayed here. Waitresses are snub Ambient is not as good as downtown clubs - It's dark and has down vibe.
We started with a salad. I forgot that name but I’ve had salad here couple of time. It was fresh and tasty. I had spaghetti with prawns it was okay but I highly recommend hunter chicken. The day when we had dinner in cactus club was our wedding anniversary. Thankfully, Our Server gave us a cute dessert. It was so sweet and memorable experience both of us thanks you.
I had a very poor dinner experience at this location. Within 15 minutes of seating, and 3-5 minutes after receiving our drinks, a self proclaimed manager by the name of Jacqueline approached us and told us we were being too loud and that we should keep it down. What confused us was that we had most definitely not been too loud. When we asked who had complained, she immediately said “her kitchen staff would vouch for her”. Then we mentioned that it was pretty rude of her to say that to us when we hadn’t been too loud and there was no one 10 meters around us. We even offered to move to a different table in the corner of the restaurant. She immediately proceeded to say that she would pay for our drinks and that it was likely best for us to leave. She clearly had one objective, to get us to leave her restaurant and her motivates although only known by her, likely stemmed from a desire to keep the cactus as an establishment with only Caucasian dinners. Overall this was a very traumatic experience as I have never been so discriminated against at a Cactus before. I hope you are able to follow up with this situation as this was an absolutely terribly experience and I will never been dining at this location of Cactus again.
Spent over $20 for a salad and this is how much chicken they give you. Just a heads up, this is ridiculous. Cactus you can do better
What a wonderful experience. The service, as usual, was excellent and the food very tasty. Was able to walk in and get a seat in the lounge without any issues. Feel very comfortable and safe in their environment.

Had an unpleasant experience with Cactus Club Park Royal this evening. We took our children there for a post Christmas concert treat ( they wanted to go to the Village Taphouse but the line up was too long). Wish we waited there. The staff were rude with our children. It's obvious that Cactus Club has no interest in that demographic so clearly we won't go back. The service was absolutely horrible. We literally never saw our server and had to get up each time we needed something to track someone down. At the end of the evening one of the hosts said to our 6 year old " move out of the way" when the little man was just trying to get his jacket on. I snapped back and said " do you need to be so rude, he's a child". We will never go back to Cactus. The food wasn't very good at all. VERY disappointed overall.
I don't often give restaurants 5 stars, but they deserve it! The Bellini was delicious. Their portion sizes were spot on. The server was attentive but not annoyingly so. I had the 4 mushroom steak and it was one of the best meals I've ever had at a restaurant. A cozy environment and friendly staff round this restaurant out and creates an excellent experience.
Great staff, good food. Sports available on several screens in the bar area. The canned music leaves a little to be desired though, " hiphop " and rap don't fit the environment.
What a lovely evening I had here! I'm so pleased to see so many delicious vegan options on the menu, and many gluten free options too! I had the crispy tofu bowl and was delighted with the portion size, the surprising addition of mango, and the generous serving of ???? avocado in the meal! ????. The yam fries we ordered to share were some of the tastiest I've had! The seasoning and crispness was on point! My friends all had only good things to say about their meals too. My friend was very impressed with her Ceasar drink, which arrived embellished with tasty treats. ???? Cactus Club has some gorgeous art pieces too! They have a lovely selection of Andy Warhol pieces. I'll definately go here again!
A friend of mine and I went for cactus club supper after an amazing black Friday Christmas shopping marathon. Epic food wonderful service!

Super service. Food was good as always too. By pure luck, I always have the same server, her name eludes me but you'd know her if you ever sit her her section, as she gives the best service I've experienced in a long time Will be back for sure!
The waitress here was very patient and helpful. The reception was great too, she arranged our table in time just like what we were were told to expect. We really like the food that we ordered and the kid was very happy with the dessert.
Burger's patty was cold but the manager took care of it right away and brought a new one with no charge. They even gave us free dessert. That's what I called good customer service!
Happy Hour! Ribs, fries, salad, all done to perfection: $17. Add their cheep Longboard Lager and you have the best Happy Hour deal ever! Great service included.
Service
Just ordered via DoorDash and found a huge long brown hair in our burger order. Very disappointing and hoping the kitchen people wear hair nets and are taking sanitary precautions seriously especially during covid.
I dined here during Happy Hour on a Saturday evening. My dining companion and I both ordered from the Happy Hour menu. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Sandwich and my friend ordered the Cheddar Bacon Burger, both with sea salted fries. Both burgers were well prepared and extremely tasty. We shared a dessert - Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bar, which was scrumptious. The bar makes some great cocktails, too. Service was friendly, attentive and professional. The ambiance is relaxed, warm and casual. The cost was reasonable and good value. Overall, we had an exceptional dining experience, and look forward to returning here very soon. Highly recommended!
Jacqueline made me have the worst experience in my life. My family was not being loud whatsoever and when she came and said so, we were genuinely surprised and even offered to move to a side table or pack up our orders and leave after paying even after this offence. Yet she claimed herself to be the manager and decided that we would have to leave immediately and she didnt care about the drinks or food that was done/about to be done. This was clearly an act of racism and for the first time in my life I found myself humiliated and crying in a car on the way home. Hope your happy Jacqueline.
We phoned ahead to see if they had a dog-friendly patio. The lady on the phone assured me they did. Showed up with our dog, and asked to be seated on the dog-friendly patio. Hostess said no problem, and showed us to our seat. As soon as we sat down, we were asked if our dog was a service dog. We said no and they said they don't have a dog friendly patio. We asked why the last two people told us they did. They had no answers. Very frustrating, we wouldn't have gone there if we have not been told multiple times it was okay.
Today we had lunch at Cactus Club in Park Royal and as we arrived home my mom mentioned that she has lost her wallet somewhere in park royal ,so we start to call several places over there ,and also Cactus Club. At first they didn’t find it but after some more searching one of their very kind staff by name Jacklin (I believe)called us that she found it out side of the restaurant. It made us unbelievably happy and I know that she put lots of effort to find it, otherwise it was not possible to find. We are really appreciate all her helps and kindness.
This is one of our family’s favourite restaurants, we dine here or at north van location weekly. Both the food and the drinks are great, blackened creole chicken is to die for. Try the new frozen sangria, it’s a mix with Bellini, so yummy. Last time there was a small issue but because of their awesome AGM Jeremy, it’s totally forgotten. He is such a good guy, real gentleman and I hope he’ll get rewarded by the company for his excellent customer service skills. He went over and beyond the call of duty to make us happy, he could relate to us as a family man having a little one. 5 stars to you Jeremy! The whole team is excellent, super nice waitresses. Thank you all.
I had the best shrimp lobster sauce pasta ever!!!!! Would have liked the plate if my manners didn't take over.lol Hope to see it on all cactus club menus
Always good food. Yam fries are a must. Stopped by on the way home from Grouse. Nice to visit Park Royal too!
Atmosphere is fantastic, wait staff are all very friendly, food was hot and out promptly. Very good service, definitely going back!
Good food and the honey mustard is the best sauce ever! Also love their steak but the food takes too long to be ready. Nice servers and hosts though! Also love the way they package their to-go with the split boxes. However, wish it was not plastic.
What a great night and experience with my beautiful daughter and some great food and exceptional service from Clayton and David. These guys rock customer service and love what they do. Great job cactus ???? club. You have gold in both these gents. Thanks for making our night awesome. See you again soon.
Delicious food! Good service.
They told us that it was going to be a 20 minute wait but it ended up being less than 10 mins. The food was very good. I'd recommend the truffle fries and the tuna stack. Both taste like nothing I've had before!
Exceptional service, intimate spot yet in a large space. My sister had the best Old Fashioned ever, she even had a second for dessert! Food is rich and filling, and every item is spot on. Apple Tart dessert is enough for two - sweet and decadent!
Having come from out of town and celebrating a friend's birthday we decided on this Cactus Club. I have been a regular at Cactus Club for many years and I was looking forward to a wonderful evening, and that is exactly what we got! Manager Alex Mclaren took great care of us the entire evening...he was professional, friendly and charming and our server Lexi was also great and attended us non stop. The food was wonderfully fresh and full of flavour and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Well done!
The food is classic cactus club, standard and good enough. But the service is absolutely ridiculous, the hostesses and wait staff are extremely rude, they will ignore completely and mistreat the elderly and people with mobility issues. Their ableist and ageist behaviour is wildly abhorrent. Two separate occasions I’ve had negative experiences with this. Twice I’ve visited, once with an elderly couple with limited mobility, and was treated with blatant disrespect and disregard. They were rudely seated and forced to walk an unnecessary ways away, after asking to be seated near the door more than once they were ignored, again I had to advocate for them and ask the hostess to listen. And again with just my elderly grandfather in-law. We were BLATANTLY ignored upon arrival by 3-4 staff standing at the front, while waiting with a mobility aid, it took myself having to raise my voice to ask for service for any kind of response. The actual service is OK, the food is basic cactus club, but the complete disregard for elderly and mobility limited patrons is disgusting.
Good food, steak was delicious. Nice atmosphere.

Takeout orders are chaotic, unorganized and sloppy. Extremely disappointed with the quality of takeout food. On several occasions we have had missing orders. We addressed all these concerns with the restaurant manager each time and were assured measures will be put in place to assure food is not missing from orders. However, a main dish was missing from our order again! We called the restaurant and mid-sentence the manager hung up on me. I drove back to the restaurant & was told because I was angry with the manager, they would not give me the missing entree and will refund my money. This is a joke! I guess this is the "measure" that has been put in place that the manager was talking about. Instead of training staff to double check takeout orders and holding them accountable for repeated errs, Cactus has decided to blame the customer and not serve. Thank you Cactus management for taking the easy way out. After being loyal costumers for over 20 years, we will not return to or order from you again & I will make sure to spread the word. At this point, Covid is not and should not be used as an accuse for poor service.
My girlfriend and I just finished a lovely lunch! Our server, Steph S. was friendly, honest, and made our experience so great. She was very accommodating of our dog and even prepared a “to-go dog meal” with water and a beef patty. We will definitely be coming back. Excellent service!
Service
I had lunch 3 times in the last couple of months. The food is very good. The menu has several good selections.
We are glad that this restaurant is keeping many outdoor seating even indoor dining is open. We like the fresh air. Server was friendly and my Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl tasted yummy. Four Winds Pale Ale was excellent, went well with the rice bowl. The only thing is that the server was probably still under training and she punched $1 more for our bill into the credit card machine. She needs to be more careful with numbers. Anyway, we will be back.
The manager of this location is very rude, and disrespectful. I ordered takeout and they told me it would take 15 mins and it took 30 so I was late to work. The front desk referred me to a manager and the manager was not speaking in a calm tone and was almost yelling at me. He made it seem like it was my fault and I have been a customer for a few years but now I don’t think I am.

Ryan made sure to recommend me the best cocktails. The orders came in quick and he also helped set the heaters near my patio to balance the cold weather. Great service!
Had good service and staff was friendly. We were before the lunch rush and it definitely got crowded. I’m sure on a weekend or on a summers day this place would be packed all day. Food was okay, not much to say about it. All the regular fast casual food you would expect from a place like this. Decor was simple and the tables were nicely spaced out to have conversations. I would go back.
One of the better chains in YVR area. No kids menu, which makes no sense. But mine like the idea of tackling grown up sized portions. Rocket salad is my favourite for a refreshing lunch.
I went to pick up my takeout and not only the pick up station staff clumsy to organize people from bulging in front of others, they don't even greet or say "thank you" when the customer says so when picking up the order. Apparently decency isn't in Cactus Club Park Royal's training. And not only that, the sauce had a hair piece inside. DISGUSTING. Especially in a sensitive time like now, having a hair inside the food is absolutely not acceptable. If they can't even have this under control, I am sure their health regulation is near none. They should be checked out by Coastal Health Department. Absolutely the worst Cactus Club service location for sure. And they demand minimal of 18% tip for takeout? Such a joke.
Take out
We were a Table of 5 asked the Waitress for shots of tequila for the table looking at happy hour last week, and she gave all of us $25 shots of I think 1949. Charging the table over $150 in shots And never said a single word about these shots being more expensive at all.. looking at the age group of the table she ignored us for the rest of the night till the bills came split. We each asked to qualify the amount and she seemed very rude and judgemental! Okay food Horrible service My workers and I go to dinner in the village every week And we’ve never been treated this way
Update: The manager has offered me a gift card in order to deal with the food safety issue, which I am happy about. This location in particular is always amazing. I am giving 3 stars instead of 5 because of one experience I had when I was served a food I said I had an allergy to and the server even confirmed it with me twice. When the management came they apologized and paid for the meal but their attitude seemed like they didn’t think it was that big of a deal. An honest apology is better than paying for the meal while still not thinking it was a big deal. Anyways, it’s usually fine.
Well I had to go buy something else to eat after because I didn’t get to eat with my family. After 40 minutes waiting for our food the Spicy chicken wraps came out cold and dry but by the time the waitress came out to check on us my family had been done eating for at least 10 minutes. All the management did was take off 2 drinks and of course the meal I didn’t eat. Sucks to spend a so much money on dinner and then have to go eat fast food because you’re starving. I used to love and crave the cactus club. So disappointed
Our first time eating out in a very long time. Barriers between tables, spacious, courteous staff all masked, and the QR code links to online menu, topped with great food as usual - what's not to love! Accessible for wheelchair users too.
Server named Jacqueline was extremely rude and racist. Will never visit this location again because of her. She claimed that our party was talking too loudly. No one else in the restaurant complained, as there was no one around us (the restaurant was relatively empty at the time we visited). This was her own personal opinion against me and my group of friends which was extremely discriminatory. When we spoke to her about her about this concern she responded with arrogance and she asked us to leave the restaurant before our food arrived.
Excellent service and covid protocols. Really impressed with how they have everything set up. Food was really good. Had the $45 lunch for 2 people, deal was well worth it.
