Overall could have been better. The appetizers were not very good at all. The foie gras was just bad. Straight up bad. The Hokkaido scallop was okay. I was disappointed that there was just 1 scallop on the dish. The caviar tasting was good. The house mad blinis were good. We were very impressed by the oysters today because the foam accompanying the oysters was just really great! The main courses were okay. The desserts were really delicious though.
We had enjoyed the Dineout menu (not knowing the event was on before we went). Their service was very very good ...our water (hot and cold) glasses were filled up constantly and dishes were cleared, our server did ask if we liked more bread. The "men in suits" were helping around and that's important. We were comfortable and had enjoyed our dinner. Our food were good especially the "steak" which turned out amazingly tender. Compare to the bad experience that I had last month at Keg (Still Creek), this is "money well spent".
Another amazing experience at Boulevard! Every time we dine here we are blown away by the service and the food. Everything served was on point and perfectly seasoned. The Chef has an amazing menu and you get exactly what you pay for here. Service team is the top in the city and leaves you feeling a want to come back for more.
We came here for Happy Hour - the food menu wasn't great but drinks were good. We got the fries and they were very bland. I would still love to try it out for dinner because the atmosphere was really nice, but wasn't super impressed.
Service
Boulevard has quite a reputation in Vancouver and I now see why. They have been ranked as one of the top (and the top) restaurant in Vancouver. Food is great; service is fantastic; presentation is flawless; and ambiance is immaculate. Most Vancouver fine dining restaurants feel somehow casual to me but not this one—yet they are not awkwardly formal. Somehow they have managed to appeal to different age groups. For their status, they are not overpriced either—in fact they are very reasonable. I will be back for other occasions!
Service
They participate in the Amex Global Dining Collection so if you make a reservation through the platinum concierge, you will get a free amuse bouche, which is a melty tuna on a tiny toast. The baked oysters were huge and delicious, definitely worth $7 a piece. The seafood linguine is buttery and creamy, pasta cooked al dente, but for a seafood restaurant I was expecting bigger mussels and clams, especially when mussels are in season right now in Vancouver, where other restaurants such as Fanny Bay are serving fat mussels. The cocktails are definitely good, using a single ice cube, old fashioned is not overly sweet, negroni has the right ratios.
I think this place deserves 4.5 stars. The service is top notch but food fell a tad short on expectation. For a fine dining restaurant, the plating and food was cooked pefectly but flavours of the some of the dishes fell short. I also don't think any dish really stood out except the dessert. The atmosphere was really relaxing and enjoyable.

Boulevard is a beautiful restaurant with elegant modern decor. The menu is rather small, but has many interesting options and generally something for everyone. Boulevard is an upscale restaurant and the staff and guests know it; at times the environment might feel a bit pretentious. However, that is the norm for a restaurant of its calibre. The foie gras, New York strip, and desserts were all delicious, and the complimentary corn bread was a nice touch. My complaints would be that the food, though plated beautifully, was a little cold, and our server seemed a bit awkward and lacked knowledge of the menu that I would expect wait staff to know at a restaurant like Boulevard. Overall it was a good experience.
It is an awesome restaurant. Upscale environment, first class service from servant to chief. The chief Roger even come to tables to see if food is meet expectation. I came to this restaurant for my wife's birthday. We for sure had a pleasant night. The food our waiter recommended is superb, and amount is appropriate, and great attention to details when come to service aspect. Highly recommended.
Had a great dinner experience at Boulevard. Classy yet down to earth atmosphere. As we were a large group we got to try many different dishes including their seafood tower and award winning seafood dish. The table also shared the veal shank which was phenomenal. Service was impeccable and friendly which made for a very enjoyable evening.
I visited Boulevard with my boyfriend for our anniversary and the overall experience was amazing! We had the wagyu beef carpaccio and charcoal grilled spanish octopus as appetizers and they were absolutely delicious. Afterwards, we had a lychee and rose dessert... it was almost too beautiful to eat! They also give complimentary bread, amuse bouche, and bite-size desserts. The experience was not complete without our server, Lisa! Not only was she knowledgable with the menu to ensure our dining experience went smoothly, but she was attentative and super nice. I recommend Boulevard to anyone who wants a wonderful fine dining experience. :)

Came here for my birthday with my daughter. It is a bar, so you can imagine how noisy it could be after work. The business was actually quite good ~ when I came here at 5.30, the whole place is full, and there are still people waiting at reception. I have to say the food is pretty good: local oyster is very fresh & delicious in fair price. Wagyu carpaccio is very well seasoned, amazing. And clam chowder brings warm & happiness from your tongue to your heart. Cod is a good choice, it fried so well, somehow looks like a piece of cake, tender & juicy. Lamb duo is also perfectly cooked, sauce is good and side dish is very tasty. The restaurant surprised me with a piece of free cake, presented in a plate with wonderful blessings, thanks so much. Well, to be frank, the pear ice cream, or apple & chestnut ice cream is much better, don't miss it in your visit. The service, is okay. I noticed a waitress broke vase when she was cleaning the table. But don't forget it is a bar, no need to be too serious. In this cozy place, relax yourself, enjoy the wonderful foods, that's the only thing you should do.
This would have been a 3 star review but besides a few items everything else was quite good. I would stay away from the Caesar salad unless you like big chunks of anchovies in your salad, I would also steer clear from the duck, it sounded a lot better than it tasted. Now the good stuff. The lamb was great as well as the brant lake wagyu beef carpaccio. The drinks were also quite good try the Mezcal Last World. All the deserts we had were very good as well. The service was great, the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice.
Great seafood and even better oysters .. definitely check it out if you in the neighborhood
Service was good but the food wasn't. I had seafood pasta with strong flavor creamy sauce which I thought to cover the seafood wasn't fresh. By the way, I only had 3 shrimps, one mussels and 2 or 3 small clams from my pasta....
Great food at high end prices. Fennel pollen in the chowder is brilliant. Have tried brunch, lunch, and dinner service. The staff is top notch and very knowledgeable. Mimosa service at brunch is pretty unique with the amount of choice they offer. Food is great. Seafood is fresh. Everything is as expected from a higher end establishment.
I visited as part of a company holiday party with a preset menu to choose from. The servers were all very welcoming and very on top of our water and wine refills. With over 50 people in our group we were split between two rooms, which made it a bit difficult for speeches without a microphone. For the food, we started with a selection of bread and delicious corn bread while we waited for our meal. The Roasted Ling Cod was much better than the Glazed Maple Hill Farms Chicken that had a strange texture. The flavors of both were not that memorable. The chocolate mousse was my favorite part of the meal with a nice surprise in the middle. I am not sure if the portions were smaller as we were in a large group with a three course meal with limited options. As we were exiting we noticed a fun tray of sweet treats. They were much more exciting than mints.
Came for a group dinner, the service was ok. The seafood tower was very average and they removed it before we got to finish it and at that price point they could of checked to see if we were done. The restaurant itself is very nice.
I was here for an event and the service was amazing, the serving staff were so attentive, one of them heard my order wrong which is totally fine because I have an accent so i'm used to it but they were so apologetic and made it right extremely quickly! The food was also superb! The Bavette steak was one of the most amazing meals I have had in a long time! I would come back and have it again! The chocolate mousse cake was also delicious with great textures!
Great atmosphere for happy hour. They have an assortment of food. We had the oysters and salmon pate. We finished all the bread that came with the pate and the server brought us more bread without asking. It wasn't very busy and it was very easy for us to have a chat. Service was fast and server also reminded us just before the end of happy hour to see if we wanted to get another order. Friendly service.
First time guest and will definitely be back! The service and ambience were great and the food fantastic! Had the Dine Out menu which was an exceptional value. Looking forward to trying the regular menu next time.
Wow- one of the best bartenders and lounges in the city. Both old fashioned and whiskey soursare spot on!! Wagyu carpaccio and praline chocolate cake is highly recommended! The Thai chilli foam paired with oysters us a must try- it's silky soft and packed with flavour! Seafood tower is okay - shrimp and crab could be more flavorful.
I decided to try Boulevard for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience. We had excellent service from our server and were offered blankets because we were dining late in the evening in the outdoors. Their wagyu beef carpaccio was outstanding. I ordered the seafood linguine which was good, but nothing special and came in a smaller portion than I expected. Their dessert menu won me over -- the London Fog was amazing. The complimentary birthday dessert was also one of a kind!
We had a great meal here. The fish was excellent and the service was superb. Wine selection was very nice. I was a little worried about attire, but I was in jeans and fit in great. Very nice overall!
Brunch
Fine dining experience, our waiter was so kind that when we mentioned we were in a hurry to have desserts, he brought out a mini dessert plate on the house! Amazing gesture and while the food portion felt small at first, they were really wholesome with amazing taste. Hands down one of the best seafood restaurant in Canada!
Came here for the dineout experience and was truly amazed. Phew before i started, our service was just truly A++++++ nothing compares with this and the ambience was just amazing. We started with the soup and it was just good reminds me of breakfast hotel soup hahahhah. Anyway, the albacore tuna was just tremendously amazing nothing beats this. The baked oysters reminds me of baked potato so i personally damnn love it so much. The wagyu was just the truly best and most exceptional and stands out for the whole experience. The ling cod reminds me of gurame hiks i miss home but this is the one that makes me not give 5 instead of 4. Even though it reminds me of home, it does not represent the best way to serve the cod since this is something i would get for $2 back home. It was good but it just didnt meet my expectation. Good presentation though. Nevertheless, the dessert were both truly amazing. Both of the desserts have well done presentation but the passionfruit tart outweighs the chocolate mousse. Get this. Eat all of different things together and youll get the best combination flavour ever. Adding a yuzu leaf would be a great addition to the dessert. Nevertheless, it was an amazing experience, so i would come back again. Recommended!!! Cheers!
Great waitress, fantastic cocktails but i ordered the special for that day, salmon and got it under. Waitress says its supposed to be cooked “medium”. The center was still cold?!?! Received it back with “im sorry you found it under cooked” and got the same piece back overcooked. Honestly wish i just ordered off the menu items.
Amazing place. Excellent service, the waiter we had was friendly and very helpful when we were deciding on food. All of the food was amazing, we had the seafood tower, seafood linguini and the quail and it was all the best we've had in Vancouver.
Good atmosphere with good food. Wish they can have better social distance during this pandemic.
I believe it’s the busiest hotel in town ( movie industry) however the restaurant is dying except fridays & saturdays. I’m a regular here for years. I’m sitting in a corner high table watching this place doing down specially with the new staff running like chicken, don’t even know the section/ table #. The hostess 2 of them are more interested in guests names & #’s instead of finding them a table. My sever is on his second shift today, poor guy is trying to do his job ( needs improvement). I guess most places are in need of staff so they’re hiring anyone now. First come first hired. Blame it on C19 not training.
The food is to die for. The only complaint is that there isn’t more of it. Italian food is my weakness, and this is the closest I’ve come to the perfect seafood linguine I found in Milan, Roma, and Napoli. The beef carpaccio was nothing short of beautiful. The octopus, incredible. I would definitely recommend, and would definitely eat here again.
Dinner
Came for Sunday brunch. Slow service but servers were nice Would think for the higher price point service would be better Ordered the omelette and it was only okay
The food was a little above average but doesn’t stand up to the expectations for the price you’re paying. Our server was a little snobby and gave little to no information about oysters as we were trying it for the first time. The daily special pasta was a good appetizer and the Lamb duo was also alright. The wine selection was great, I’ll give them that. The indoor dining is much nicer than the patio outside. 7/10 as I’d recommend trying it but wouldn’t go back.
Delicious food, one of the very few places that offer oysters in their buffet. Most of the time they have very fresh/delicious oysters but depending when you go, you might have to deal with the bad ones that just aren't the best quality. The options for food aren't a lot but it's enough to enjoy a good meal with family and friends. Also price wise, it's one of the cheaper options compared to other fancy buffets. Service is great...sometimes a bit too much (especially when it comes to replacing the oyster utensils - they should know that I'm just gonna continuously get more lol)
Lovely experience last evening. We got a private dining, unintentionally, and it turned out great. Very kind and friendly staff. Tasty food. Clam chowder was super tasty!!
Dinner
Every month or two we pick one of Vancouver's top rated restaurants to dine out with our friends with the hope experiencing an exceptional meal and the goal of sampling every restaurant on the various top 10 lists for restaurants in Vancouver. Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar deserves its place on any top 10 list. We are not rich, but we save up so we can splurge on a memorable night out. If you are like us and don't want to waste your rare night out on a sub par experience, I hope this helps you on picking where to go. The Venue is perfect. It has a front area for more of a cocktail vibe and a back end area if you are looking for a private dining experience. It is also located in the Sutton Place Hotel and shares a spot with one of the nicest lounges in Vancouver, a great place to transition to before ending the night. I highly recommend not missing out on the lounge. We started with a seafood tower with was some of the freshest fish I have ever enjoyed. The Wine manager was spot on with all their wine pairings all night. We all enjoyed unique appetizers that hit a 5 our of 5. I had the halibut. It was not only the highest quality piece of fish I have had, but done absolutely perfectly. All 4 of our party rated their appy and main 5 stars. The service was second to none. At one point, after being told the specials for the night and the server departing, one of our guests said she missed what one of the specials were. Our server reappeared out of thin air to make sure we were all aware of the specials. Just a small example of the high quality service we experienced. We sample dozens of different drinks, all spot on. Our desserts were out of this world. No drink or food put infront of us was anything but 5 star. Our server was top notch and raised the bar. If you are looking for a safe bet on a top notch experience and a memorable night out, we highly recommend Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar.
Best overall dinner in Vancouver. Get the seafood tower! (With lobster). My boyfriend got the quail feature and I've never heard his react to a first bite like that anywhere we've ever been. Nice wine selection and great service.
I really hate it when I come into a restaurant that is 70% empty, and they ask if you have reservations and when you say no, the girl at the door starts looking around the place as if she wasn't sure if she is gona be able to place you...At a place of this caliber, and this $$$$, I expect a welcome, a smile and a 'Right away, Sir!' Food was good, waitress was nice, but not very knowledgeable about the preparations or ingredients.
The specialty on the menu were amazing!!! The mushroom ravioli was sooo tasty. The quail was also amazing. Great service, good recommendation from the sommelier. Will definitely be back.
Meal type
From the ambience to the decor, to the service and food, everything was wonderful. Came with family. Adults had the tasting menu, the kids had the pizza and pasta. The service was professional and warm. Aside from the amuse-bouche everything else from the tasting menu have several flavours involved that can be tasted separately and/or infused together. All the food are immaculately balanced and cooked perfectly. Several of us added the foie gras to our rib cap and the fatty foie gras definitely increased the depth of the umami of the rib cap making it a freat accompaniment and suggestion from the server. The food here will definitely leave your taste buds wanting more.
My husband and I came to this restaurant on our wedding night with our siblings to celebrate what would have been our reception night. We were still in our wedding outfits when we arrived to the restaurant. The food was great, and we had an amazing night. However, the server/waiter assigned to our table was very short and rude with my family and I. We still don't understand why, as we were polite, always answering back with "Thank you" and "Please". Although the food was great, I would not recommend eating here. It's not nice having a good meal but having to endure a rude and short waiter, especially on your wedding night.
Good service, great ambience. My pasta come out too salty but our server was fast to get the chef to remake one for me. It was perfect the second time around!
Didn't meet expectations. Excellent greetings from Stuart at the door, as well as the hostess. Oysters were nice, chowder not. Kobe beef excellent, halibut not. Nothing bad or off, simply not great. Oh, & no bread.
Every single one of Boulevard's food menu items that I got to try during this visit was phenomenal. The presentation is through the roof; the creative combinations between textures and flavours were marvellous. Bravo, Boulevard, bravo.
A lovely higher end restaurant. Service is very impressive and food quality and presentation are very impressive. Prices are elevated but on par with the quality. What happened to the Happy Hours here?
Unfortunately it’s only 1 star for us. It’s was my birthday dinner with my friends. The service wasn’t good. They couldn’t accommodate us outside even though I asked about it in my reservation about 2 weeks in advance. The vibe at the restaurant was like an eatery. No music, not cozy, we asked to be seated at the bar instead as there seemed to be more cozy. The food was ok, my order was waaay to over salted and my friend also, overall we not enjoyed our food neither ambiance or service. Even though I noted it’s was a birthday dinner to the staff they did nothing about it. Not that I expected anything but still, they could put a candle in my desert. I never be back and will not recommend this place.
Incredible meals here! Chef Roger is magic with the food he creates, very innovative and delicious. We had the clay baked ora king salmon and is absolutely out of this world . Atmosphere is awesome as well, great for special occasions or just a nice night out!
Fantastic restaurant. The restaurant has a few different areas which give you a different ambiance which is great if you're visiting this place often. We had the seafood tower and the quality was amazing - so fresh, so tasty and presentation on point. I had the NY steak and the meat was cooked perfectly. Highly recommended.
Great environment and terrific service. The oysters were sublime. And the waygu beef carpaccio incredible b
came here expecting overpriced food and lousy service. Instead we got reasonably priced food, great service and a bonus piece of cake at the end since it was the wife's bday. Our server Angela was great and made sure we were looked after.
Amazing food and outstanding service. I cannot speak high enough of this little gem of a restaurant. Very reasonable prices for an excellent tasting menu that had as much tradition as flair in combining flavors and unique visuals. From start to finish there was an attention to details and service from every staff member that stopped by our table and that clearly was part of a committed group of individuals trying to make the dining an experience to remember. The atmosphere was not stuffy, but not overly pushy either. The last time I had this experience was a Michelin-starred restaurant in Europe. You will not regret booking your next dinner here!
Excellent service. Food a tier above Joe Fortes
The food is good, but service wasn't very good. We were celebrating my friend's birthday, had a private room and one of my friends asked for a cup for hot water and the female server told her she was too busy and that she can drink out of a glass. The other male server was super nice nice though. But my friend never got her cup for hot water..

It was the most terrible dining experience I have ever had in Vancouver!!!!! We arrived in the restaurant around 5:00PM at night, after siting down, the waiter handed over the dinner menus to my friend and me, there was no happy hour menu. Then we asked the waiter it is still at happy hour time? He replied yes. Since the main purpose for visiting this restaurant was to taste the happy hour oysters, we asked the waiter again to confirm whether the oysters were still available in happy hours, he said yes again. We ordered dozen of the oysters which the waiter recommended to us, as well some other courses as well. The oysters were so fresh and tasty, the two main courses were fine as well, but the service that waiter deliveried was so terrible. While we enjoying the food, the waiter came back couple times to disturb us in the middle of talking and asked the same question whether the food was great. I do understand that's part of the waiter's job, but seriously you should not disturb your customer while in middle of their talking. That was the first thing we started to feel unsatisfied. Second was when the waiter filling the glass for us, he spilled some of the water on the table without cleaning until we asked. The last thing I felt the most frustrated was our bill after we found the oysters were not charged as happy hour ones. We asked why those are charged much more than what we expected from the happy hours, what he replied was the oysters we ordered were not covered under happy hour price, it is only some kind of the oysters were. I mean, people spend more than hundreds of dollars in this kind of restaurant doesn't even deserve an notification from you before placing the order?? Especially we expressed our interested for the happy hour oysters right before we started ordering anything? If this is the way how you treated your customers, then I will never recommend to any of my friends in the future.
Very good place to enjoy fresh seafood. Everything is fine.
My wife and I were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary this past Saturday. BLVD was always on our list of local restaurants to try. Needless to say they did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we received complimentary champagne. Our server Angela was awesome, she clearly knows how to make the customer feel important. Thank you Angela! The food was also incredible, we started with Honey Mussels which tasted incredible that also came with a beautiful presentation. BVLD's corn bread is delightful. Our mains were the Charcoal Grilled Sablefish and the Quail. Both dishes were incredible. Their wine list is extensive and of course top notch. Our experience at BVLD measured up to all the hype. Well done everyone! We will be back soon.
Two different experiences over two days. Drinks and oysters in the bar area was very good- both service and food. Breakfast the next morning on New Years Day was not a pleasant experience. Observed tension between the Manager and Servers. Servers were polite and accommodating unlike the rude Manager who was only focus on the brunch guests vs guest who were ordering a la carte. Not impressed.
Decided to try the Boulevard Provisions for the first time today and the overall experience was terrible. Followed the instructions and texted the phone number to notify them of my arrival and for them to bring my order out to the car as stated in the instructions. After 3 text messages, 2 phone calls and waiting about 30 min was I able to leave with my order, only to discover everything I ordered from the soup to the ribeye steaks were all frozen. Nowhere does it state that everything comes frozen and needs to be thawed before cooking which means my evening meal plan was ruined. If you're looking for a much better experience, go order from Toptable2U and save yourself the trouble.
To say that we were disappointed tonight with our meal was an understatement. The night started off pleasant with a beautiful ambiance and being greeted by a friendly host. Unfortunately shortly after being seated, the night took a turn. We were greeted by our server who brought us tap water and made sure we were ok using the QR code menu but after that it was clear that we were the table she was the least concerned about. It took her an additional 15 minutes after bringing water to ask us to place a drink order. We then placed our entire order (drinks, appetizers, and entree) at that time. After placing this order it took another 30 minutes to get our drinks and over 45 to get our appetizers. At this point we had been seated for over an hour without seeing a plate of food. Once we received our appetizers (clam chowder and the pasta special) I noticed that the soup was warm not hot, and the pasta was cold. The pasta dish was clearly not to be served warm or cold as there was a cracked egg on the top that would need to be stirred into a hot pasta dish to combine well with the rest of the sauce. We then ordered another round of drinks and another 20 minutes go by before we receive them. Throughout the service we also had to grab the attention of our server multiple times as she had not stopped by the table in almost 30 minutes each time. Finally we get our entree, the seafood tower for two after almost two hours after sitting down. The seafood tower comes with snow crab legs, ahi tuna tataki, Dungeness crab salad, mussels, oysters, and side striped shrimp. This overall was a huge let down. The mussels lacked flavour and had a fishy taste as if they were not fresh, and the oysters were not top quality which is a shame given the abundance of top notch oysters in this region. In addition, Dungeness crab is one of the pricier and more luxurious proteins on menus of high end restaurants in Vancouver, and it was served in a dish with greens, cherry tomatoes and a glorified thousand island dressing. In my opinion, that is disrespecting the delicate beautiful protein with a mayonnaise based salad dressing. The striped shrimp dish had a vibrant coloured sauce but honestly the flavour was so lacking it tasted like watered down puréed peas accompanied by radishes with crunchy texture but none of the bold peppery flavours inherent to this vegetable. We have been to this restaurant before and have had a great experience, but after what we had and what we paid tonight I’m sad to say we may not ever go back.
Service was FANTASTIC, restaurant manager Ben made sure we are well taken care of. Our server Jorge made the best suggestions as far as the menu goes and he was very attentive . Great experience, definitely recommend! Will be back!
We stopped by for some oysters and cocktails... Both were absolutely phenomenal. The oysters in particular, from Washington State, were incredibly delicious. They serve the oysters with a Thai-style foam, a mignonette, and a spicy cocktail sauce. Truly terrific. Our amaretto sours were shaken to perfection as well. We had a slight delay with getting our initial cocktails as the bartender was engaged in a conversation with the manager for some reason, but other than this, our experience was great. My only bit of criticism is that the restaurant was quite slow, yet the service was also quite slow for some reason. When restaurants are significantly less busy, especially these days, service standards need to be optimal. Highly recommended otherwise.
Upclsss atmosphere, great service. We were group of six and walked in on Monday. At this prices, I would expect a bit more on the food. But never surprising. However I tjinj this restuarant is definitelt good for dating and anniversary.
The food here was impeccably executed. From the tuna tataki appy to the mains aged quail and sablefish, the technique and attention to detail when it comes to plating was all perfect. The pear dessert was unique and delicious. The service, however, was efficient and impersonal. Felt like we were just being churned through a system. Was reminded of our 2 hour dining time twice... and felt very rushed. I would much rather go to Botanist or Published, where food is just as good, but I felt welcomed and relaxed and can thoroughly enjoy my evening. If you want a true evening out where you and eat and drink without being rushed, I would go somewhere else.
We booked a private event for brunch. The service was excellent. The seafood towers were well done. The entrees were unfortunately just ok. The food was lukewarm and the English muffins (under the eggs Benedict) were too chewy and hard to cut . Granted we were a group of 18 people. They were able to provide a private room, which was beautiful.
Coming from someone that eats fresh seafood often, this seafood tower was mediocre. It tasted as if everything was prepared way in advance and assembled when ordered. Very disappointed. We choose not to order anything else from the menu. That being said, the cocktail of the day was delicious.
Primary female server was okay, host was nice great. We had another gentlemen server who felt like he didn't want to be there, as he was putting our food down, he was explaning what the food was as he was half walking away and wasn't pleasant. Realized as I left wanting to get out with bad service,I realized they forgot my cornbread order and I had paid for it. Not coming back. As a Vancouverite, I expected better service from servers. Too bad Joe Fortes is a longer wait, I now know the wait is worth it.
Service is good, although it felt like the waiter talked down to us a bit. Food is average but some good ideas with their slow cooked lamb dish. Don’t order the linguini alla vongole, it needs more than 5 clams! Beautiful restaurant design and comfortable.
Seafood tower was ok. The crab was fresh and the oysters flavourful. Beef carpaccio was presented well, but marbling in the meat wasn’t consistent. Soup was good but a touch too creamy. Desserts were excellent - delicate flavours and good balance. Recommend coming here for the oysters and dessert. They also made a nice piece for our anniversary dinner which was a nice touch.
Great service, fresh tasty seafood. Highly enjoyable!
Good selection on the Happy Hour menu. Fresh oyster and the clam chowder are the highlight.
I am sad to say that this has become one of my favorite restaurants. Sad, because we don't live in Vancouver...
Lovely atmosphere, lighting, and food. Overall smooth experience. They have happy hour here. They have fixed price menus. RSVP recommend especially if it will be busy when you go. It's attached to a hotel.
There is never any great joy in writing a critical review of a restaurant, especially one that clearly has a loyal following and the potential to live up to its lofty reputation. Unfortunately, our meal fell far short of reaching the bar that Boulevard clearly aspires to, and left us with the feeling that the kitchen was coasting on its reputation. That said, there were certainly positive elements. The Catena Cabernet Franc from the off the beaten path wine list was both unusual and delicious. The oysters were also impeccable, fresh and redolent of ocean. Sadly, the celeriac Waldorf salad was an unmitigated culinary catastrophe. Not only was the salad barely dressed, with virtually no hint of apple or walnut, dusted with the slightest skiff of Valdeon cheese, and unremittingly flavorless, but the celeriac had been robbed of any vestige of texture, taste, or crispness. I imagined that it had, perhaps, been extracted from a can predating Canadian independence. Our desperate attempt to salvage it by pouring the serviceable shallot mignonette from the oyster on top was a categorical failure. Then there was a wait, a long, long wait of nearly an hour until the remainder of our meal arrived. The sablefish was well-cooked, flaky and moist, but with flavors that erred on the bland side of subtle. The ling cod arrived with a nice crust, and the sunchoke curry was flavorful, but it had clearly spent an extended tenure awaiting the arrival of its partners before delivery to our table, to the detriment of both taste and texture. My “enhancement” of broccolini with Calabrian chile and Parmesan was, again, adequate, with good flavors but somewhat indifferent preparation where a bit of roasting could have been used to great advantage. In contrast, my wife’s roasted brussel sprout “enhancement” only served that role by remaining an uneaten table ornament after each of us made a one sprout trial foray. It was more boiled than roasted, coated with a mishmash of incompatible flavors, and left us with not even the slightest desire to eat it. I expect that the kitchen at Boulevard has the potential to achieve great things, but, at least on this evening’s visit, they failed to achieve that potential.
Loved this place, this place has been on my review list for sometime now. Came here in 2019 for my anniversary and was blown away by the service and food. Amazing food, high quality, matched by 5 star service.
Well done --- great food, service and atmosphere. Went here for a birthday dinner and felt that the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. The hand written card, and the follow up on instagram was ????????
This was the only worst experience we had at a restraunt over 5 nights stay in Vancouver. The waitress was super rude like she didn’t want us to be there. Service was incredibly awful. Even being the guest of the Sutton hotel, we couldn’t enjoy one meal at their own restraunt. Waited for 10 minutes for water and another 20 for the drinks. When we asked the rude server that we were ready to order she walked away saying she will come back. After waiting for 10 minutes for her to come back, we just had to walk out. A place like this, with prices like this, needs to do a lot more better!
Food and service was fantastic but dinner was made miserable by the fact that the restaurant had no heat. They should have offered a discount, or free tea or something. Won't go back there until winter is over.
The seafood tower was a little disappointing given the value vs what you get. The seafood and the salad are quite fresh, but the portions were rather small and not quite worth the price in my opinion. The seafood tower at blue water cafe is better in my opinion. Loved the beef carpaccio here and the rest of the seafood mains were very well done.
Expensive, but great wine selection and extraordinary food; great service and fun atmosphere. Great fun for our get away weekend.
Fantastic restaurant, never disappoints. Always great for accommodating kids too, but this time was next level. 3 course kids fixe prix is approachable, but sophisticated. Even has kids champagne! Love it! Best execution of a kids menu I’ve seen in a decade of parenting and travelling.
Thank you Chef Alex for the amazing anniversary meal you served us. All of the courses were fantastic. The service and attention to detail provided by all of the staff was unparalleled.
Fancy fine dining at its best in Vancouver. Boulevard does a fabulous job making everything exquisite and perfectly delicious. The oysters and all their seafood is super fresh and well prepared. The seafood tower was a highlight for sure. As with any high end fine dining place, do not expect large portions, but expect amazing flavours. The food and service was excellent and filled with pride, which speaks volumes for the restaurant. We did miss that they no longer have live piano music, but of a bummer.
Just ordered the chicken noodle soup from their provisions program. Saw an article on the soup, created by their executive chef (& Iron Chef champ) Alex Chen, and it didn't disappoint. Might be the best I've ever had. It also comes at a very reasonable price: only $10 (plus delivery cost) to have 1 litre of it (about 4 servings) delivered to my door.
We went for dine out this year at Boulevard and they did not disappoint. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Service was good and the ambiance is definitely nice. I had the borscht soup and cod. I find fish always hard to get right and they did it well. My chocolate dessert was delicious! The table next to us ordered the seafood tower and I think I would like to come back and try that some time soon...
Great happy hour! With $7 wine and negronis, $2 local oysters, tasty and creative fish-sauce wings with a crispy outside, and these pictured fish tacos, we will go back.
Dinner
We had a food tour here, but holy cow it was interesting. They served seafood in a sardine tin, that was so tasty everyone practically drank the sauce from the dish straight from the tin. Their ambiance was what you expect. And I hear the seafood tower is quite reasonable.
We have been to this restaurant many times and I'm sure we will be back many times more in the future. We found out last minute that a family member was joining us for Christmas this year and thought it would be nice to all go for dinner on Christmas Eve. Boulevard were accommodating and prepared a table for 11 people in one of their private rooms which we really appreciated. The food is always good and the service is exceptional. Decent wine list and the prices are reasonable for an upscale restaurant. We got the steak and the salmon and it was excellent as always. Nice lounge next door for a pre or post dinner cocktail too. 5/5
I came here for a birthday dinner two weeks ago and it was amazing. The beef carpaccio, albacore tuna, and the fish in bone broth emulsion were delicious. So many flavours and so well balanced. We also got a duck dish that wasn’t on the menu but honestly it wasn’t that great compared to the other dishes. It wasn’t very interesting texturally, the duck was dry and it just didn’t have the same punch that the other dishes had. It just tasted dull. Regardless, i’m still giving this place 5 stars since the rest of the meal was delicious and definitely one of the top restaurants in Vancouver
I was looking for somewhere special to go for my birthday and decided to check out Boulevard. What a great choice! We really spoiled ourselves and got the seafood towel for two, the honey mussels, salad, and sablefish. Everything was so lovely and well put together. Blvd is definitely on the pricer side, but I think it’s worth it for a special night. We ended our meal with the Sesame dessert recommended by Angelina (I hope I’m remembering her name correctly), our server. It was amazing and so was her service! Five layers of awesomeness so delicately put together. You won’t be disappointed with you experience here, that’s for sure. A perfect way to spend a covid birthday.
I have been there multiple times now and it never disappoints. Food and service is exceptional. No dishes fail to delight your night. Seafod tower is amazing. They also have private rooms for groups. Highly recommend if you have never gone.
The famous signature dish is the seafood bowl, great combo deal for combo 2 or 4. I love rich tasted food , goose liver , delicious...BTW, famous place for movie industry people living and dining...

Outstanding service and food. I don't think there was a single bite we did not enjoy. The Sable fish was truly a delight. Was worth every dollar.
An exquisite dining experience! We had the undeniable beef carpaccio, a special uni on a nori cracker, deliciously moist roasted sablefish, lamb three ways, and an amazing chocolate souffle to finish. My friend had reserved the table for my birthday and they wrote me a birthday card and gave me a birthday dessert! Not only was the food amazing, but the servers really get try to cater the experience to your liking. It is expensive fine dining that is worth every penny
Excellent service and amazing food. The fresh oysters were all very delicious and a must try if you love fresh oysters. Our waiter was the best and had a great sense of humor and was great at explaining all the different specials and food items. Had a great time overall and will definitely come back!
Very fresh seafood and the Seasoned vegetables are killer good job on not over powering the of 1 ingredient, you can literally taste several different flavors it's just really good food. I definitely recommend this Oyster Bar, there's a lot to choose from and that's always a good thing, and don't be afraid to try new things on the menu as well you won't regret it. Merry Christmas Everyone and a Happy New Year.
Great experience food was unbelievable and reasonably priced. Would go back and recommend everyone Give it a go!
Recently took my girlfriend here for a Valentine's dinner and had an outstanding experience. The menu has a wide array of options, all of which featured some sort of seafood touch A tasting menu was being offered, so my partner and I went for that. At $90/person, it was fairly reasonable for such a menu at a higher-end restaurant. Every dish was delicious in its own way - the oyster provided a great savoury opener to the menu, and the shaved tuna Tataki dish that followed contrasted nicely with a brighter, buttery flavour. The Scallop on top of a lobster curry sauce with crispy noodles was probably the highlight of the menu, although one of the mains - the prime beef striploin accompanied by a rich onion tartlet - was a close second. Being a cocktail fan, I also tried their "Swanson" concoction - with a base of Lagavulin whisky (naturally, to pay homage to the Parks & Rec character), it combined a few other lighter liqueurs and bitters and was served with an ice cube. While very tasty, it was a bit sweet for me, but id still recommend it to any whisky-based cocktail fans. I finished off the night with a Manhattan, which was well-done. The service was consistently strong throughout the evening. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, very friendly and prompt, and provided great explanations of each dish and what they contained. For two tasting menus, two cocktails, two glasses of wine, and tip, it worked out to a little over $300. I thought the cost was well worth the quality of the food and service I received, and would happily go back here. Great location for a fancy date night.
I had the best server today. I wish I got her name. I haven't had that type of service in awhile. She really made the experience top notch. She was knowledgeable about the food, had great energy, very pleasant and personable. We were there for happy hour and the food was so great. We came just for oysters but ended up ordering 5 more dishes. I highly recommend the clam chowder. We'll definitely come back. I really want to try their special brunch buffet. Sadly, It's only on for special occasions. We came at the tail end and perused through it and everything looked so amazing! I wished we came a few hours earlier. If only we knew...
The oyster is fresh! I love them.
Service
Excellent as usual! We come here whenever we can for special occasions (birthday/anniversary etc.). One suggestion...put the crab legs on the menu! lmao! I just wanted a leg or two for my appetizer. I mean I don't think the portion was bad...it was a definitely a lot more crab than I was expecting...but my jaw almost hit the floor when I got the bill and saw what they cost :p To be fair, I did not ask the price, and it was enough crab to be a main course (finishing them was a team effort). Other than that, exceptional food, service, and ambience. We Love Boulevard!

Came for happy hour. Kristin, our server, was super nice and great. Unfortunately the food and drinks were lacking. The mule was all ice and tasted watered down. The oysters, though shucked properly, didn’t come with any horseradish. The both the fish and tortillas in the cod tacos were severely dry. The chicken wings had too much batter, too salty, and the sauce too sweet. There was no umami taste from the fish sauce at all, no depth. It’s no wonder this place is empty during happy hour on a game day.
Awesome oysters and sable fish. Every dish was a signature. Even beet root and buratta was refreshing when I dont like beet root. Will visit again.
Terrible experience. The restaurant manager is very unprofessional and condescending. I arrived with my party of 5 and was seated on the patio. I soon realized that a group of my friends was seated a few tables down and I asked the hostess if their table could move closer to ours. She proceeded to tell me a group of 6 men had a reservation at that table. I asked if she could just switch the tables prior to their arrival. At that time, the manager came to my table and gave me a speech stating he will move their table but we have to sit in our designated spots and are not able to stand up. We agreed with him and stated this was not going to be a problem. About a minute later, the hostess sat the group of 6 men beside us. We were very confused and the manager once again came up to my table and out of nowhere and very rudely told us to leave the restaurant. We tried to seek clarification as to why but he treated us like we were children and did not have a proper explanation. For a 5 star restaurant, I felt like I was in a 1 star establishment. Disgusting behavior on his part. Will never come back. We ended up getting a table at CinCin Ristorante. Amazing food and amazing service. Would definitely recommend them.
Exorbitant prices for mediocre food. Small servings. Excellent service. Our party of 8 arrived with high hopes but were quite dissatisfied. $35-40 appies and more for entrees. Halibut was tasty but a total rip off given it was only two fork fulls before it was gone. The pork chop special was better value for the money however mine was overcooked. The salmon was the only plate that seemed to be most reasonable; good portions and perfectly cooked. It also tasted amazing. But like the other entrees it was still quite pricey. I understand that this is a hotel restaurant so I was prepared to pay more for my dining experience. However the fact that the entire table required a second less expensive meal (fast food) to fill up afterwards is telling. And especially disappointing after spending nearly $100/person.
Came here for a group dinner and also for their Sunday seafood boil in the summer. Atmosphere and service were top notch from the moment you step in. Although the food is always fresh, well presented, and delicious, they don’t stand out as being too unique from other high end seafood restaurants. Prices were more on the expensive side. Definitely a place I would come back to if there are new events or menu items to try.
Pricy menu but food is excellent. Sable fish is very good.
Break open your piggy bank. Very expensive, but to be expected for fine dining. Every dish is a perfect 10. Oysters, Octopus and Braised beef.. Oh my goodness to die for. Their wine selection blows every other restaurant out of the water. I know why they've won so many awards. Well done. PS yasss yo the chocolate souffle.
Happy hour is reasonably priced for higher-end food and decent beverages. The wings were an amazing blend of flavours, the octopus was delightful, and the crispy olives were tasty too. We also had a seafood tower (NOT happy hour!), which had an abundance of prawns, mussels, oysters, crab & lobster. Sauces were pretty good, but there was an odd little salad I could have lived without. The tuna tataki more than made up for it though.
West coast seafood. Clam chowder was rich and wholesome. The NY steak was perfect. Cook right now takes great pride.
We celebrated birthday here. The food was very amazing and while it’s got a dine out menu which fit the budget well. I had the sablefish for entre which was nicely cooked and very creamy!
Very good wine and drink selection! Loved having the sea food tower and the seared cod in a curry sauce. Make sure to try the truffled mushrooms. My first experience with muscles, and I wasnt disappointed! They served them in two ways on the sea food tower and I found both ways interesting. Isaac was very helpful and attentive, will hopefully be back for more of the best sea food I've ever had
I went here for happy hour mostly to eat the oysters and they use to be $1 per oyster during happy hour but now they are $2 but they are big and very fresh. The decor is super nice and it is connected to a hotel that is probably why. It is very casual during happy hour but it seems like a fancier dinner place. The service was good and everything was what we expected.
Found this place through Open Table and I am glad I did. It's located inside the Sutton hotel and definitely not cheap. Our bill was over $700 for the three of us. However, we had an excellent dinning experience and it was well worth it. I would definitely come back for any special occasion.
Poor service can break a dining experience, regardless of how well-perceived the restaurant may be. Not one to leave a bad review, but it's a shame that our server, JP, turned a special anniversary night into a dissapointment with an unprofessional demeaner and degrading attitude.
Went here for a quick bite during the Vancouver foodie tour. Absolute amazing clam chowder! Must eat with the house made corn bread!
Very nice place to enjoy BC seafood. Especially oysters.
Great food! Oysters are so fresh! Also amazed by their service.
it was a good experience and the presentation of the food was lovely but there wasn't anything very special about this restaurant specially the service wasnt that good enough
Decided to go for dine out to take advantage of one of my favorite local restaurants and as usually they didn't disappoint. Obviously the ambiance and set up has changed due to the pandemic but they still did a great job facilitating. The quality and service is always top notch and they did a fantastic job spacing everyone apart by adding more room where the lounge is. I decided to go with their albacore tuna, braised te mana lamb shank for $5 extra and chocolate terrine. The lamb was amazing and probably one of the best I've had in a long time. The only thing I would say is that the food came out a lot longer than we expected as we ended staying for almost 2 hours for a 3 course meal. Overall very satisfied and would definitely come back when things get better (hopefully sooner than later)
It was not a particularly nice experience to start with from the Service provided by those hostess, my aunt and I went to the restaurant five minutes before the reservation the restaurant door was opened. after we got in, we were informed that we are not open yet not until 3, so we stood by the door and waited until we were seated. It was happy hour so we enjoyed ourselves several dozens of oysters, some wine and cocktail. The waiter was great he was energetic, enthusiastic and very attentive; a complete contrast compared to the hostess. Quite the disappointment that it was exactly when the heat wave hit on a day along with the BC wildfire smoke coming to town so we ended up sitting indoor instead of enjoying the patio outside
We had an amazing experience here with Jorge on the 29th. I took my mother, daughter and her cousin for a first fine dining experience. The staff were able to fit us in early without a reservation, and we have nothing bad to say. My daughter and her cousin ate the children's pris fixe menu, and I had the grown up version with a lovely celery root risotto. The food was tasty and accessible, if not necessarily innovative, but the standout for me was the service. Jorge was amazing, putting the young ones at ease, and providing intuitive service that seemed almost effortless. In our stay at the hotel, we also ordered the European breakfast and pastries. The pastries were a hit, and the european breakfast was interesting and tasty; however, maybe not necessarily worth the price point for us. The sourdough was amazing if you like a chewy crust, but the charcuterie is only worth the price for someone who appreciates it. I don't eat enough meat to discern, and while I found it tasty and interesting, I would have chosen something else that provided more for the same price. All together a pricy endeavour, but if you want to be spoiled, this is a great place and ask for Jorge!
One of my favourite restaurant in town ????
The service was incredible. We stopped in for happy hour and were impressed by the knowledgeable servers, host, bartender, and buster. Oh yeah and the drinks were great.
Great place for a wonderful night with your date for fine dining. The foods are amazing and the servers are super professional. The tastes are well designed and thought especially the steaks and salmon dish were just perfect.
Went to the bar for happy hour. Decent selection of drinks on the happy hour menu. The 3 food items we ordered were really good. Taste and plating were excellent. Would have given 5 stars if server was a little more friendly and less abrupt.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The service and ambiance were terrific and the food was exceptional.
Awesome! This place is so awesome! Imagine? I brought my dad here for the first time and he thank me for everything. It was the time where he craved so much for an oyster and I brought him into this place. I can see the big smile in his faces. He said we'll going to come back in this place again together with my mom and my sister. The foods were just so perfect. The drinks, the music, the staffs, the amenities----all in all, excellent! Thank you so much for the accommodation. I would surely recommend this place.
My partner and I booked a table at Boulevard this past Friday night to celebrate our anniversary after a year of community and personal challenges; we loved everything about the experience. The staff are knowledgeable, the food is world class creative and the atmosphere allowed us to relax for two hours together in sparkling surroundings. We can only afford this level of luxury once per year but this will be our new tradition; Boulevard is an excellent place.
My husband and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary at Boulevard. From the booking, to our dinner, they went above and beyond. Jennifer, the Business Development Manager, helped us from the get-go with our reservation, as we had an expired gift certificate that she graciously still honoured, in light of the craziness of 2020. She was professional, helpful and kind. When we arrived at dinner, we were granted a terrace table (as we requested) and our 5 course Chef's tasting menu began. Michael, our server, jumped at our request for wine pairings, and Isaac (he called himself a "Wine Enthusiast") delivered great pairing for all of our courses. The wines were served at the perfect temperature and he told us neat stories about each glass. Michael was professional but down-to-earth and was so enjoyable to have as our server. And then the food. SO GOOD. Every course was perfect and offered something new and delightful. Chef Ma is so skilled at textures and flavour profiles, where every bite leaves you speechless. From start to finish, they made our anniversary dinner so special. We will be back.
Artesian food, very much worth the price. The oysters were delicious and the cocktails done superbly.
Boulevard is a very classic steak house located on Robson Street. It has a very nice atmosphere and the servers are extremely polite and kind. As a vegan, this menu had quite limited options but they were able to make a tasty vegan risotto, which was a little bitter, but still a quality dish for a steak house. Great restaurant with great staff! Definitely recommend them to put a little more vegan options, but overall very good experience. They also had a great dessert menu, but unfortunately it wasn't vegan. The ice cream was ordered by a different guest.
For the desserts and service. I got the Apple and Chestnut one and my friend got the Pear one. Both were beautiful and delicious! Clam chowder and beet salad were good too. Halibut and the Tuna feature were a bit salty
Came for happy hour and tried a number of items. The Ceasar salad, and clam chowder were the tastiest. Chicken wings were on the sweet side. The octopus, wagu beef hot dog was ok. The fish taco was overcooked so was dry. Overall, food was decent but pricing was still quite high despite happy hour.
Last time we were here, we enjoyed their happy hour so we decided we were going to make room for their mains… Deja vu! We ordered bunch of their appies again. Had their Negroni to open up our appetites. We started off with their meatballs marinara. A nice blend of beef, pork and veal with lots of ooey gooey mozzarella melted over top. Next is their crispy chicken wings with fish sauce caramel, sambal chili and pickled vegetables. A touch too saucy as I wanted to have more of the crispiness. The hands down best dish were their oysters. They were so fresh and so big that I could have ordered another dozen if I wasn’t so full. I was very tempted to order more but it could have been that we were eating earlier than normal. I will come back again to try their full menu. Their prix fixe looked amazing!
Classy yet down to earth atmosphere. Service team is impeccable, food is excellent, which made for a very enjoyable evening. Went to Boulevard Kitchen again yesterday, food is still excellent, but service is obviously not as good as last visit.
The staff is friendly and highly competent, that's the best I can say. The restaurant, in a word, is pretentious. Expensive and small portions so they completely miss the value proposition. The menu is "eclectic" which they think allows them to overcharge for fancy, small portions. Oysters are expensive. The wine menu is extensive but hugely overpriced. By the glass is a 5 oz. pour priced like a 9 oz. pour. Take a first date here to impress him/her, o/w go elsewhere.
Excellent location, elegant decor, rather cold ambiance (visited on a weekday and, with the social distancing protocols in place, the restaurant was pretty empty) The reception was rather indifferent, I definitely didn't feel welcome. The servers were correct - polite, attentive but not more, the service was far from what I had expected after reading the online reviews We ordered the seafood tower for two (without lobster). The (6) oysters were lovely and so was one of the sauces that accompagnied them. I also enjoyed the chef's tuna's tataki, but the rest (I think 4 mussels + 4 shrimps + some offensively miniscule amount of crab + some 3 other little seafood appies) were absolutely unimpressive. Big dissapointment, especially since I had chosen this restaurant for its much praised seafood tower! In my opinion, not worth it We had better luck with the rest of the meal; the clam chowder was nice and creamy and the seafood linguine was really tasty and had a lovely texture The highlight of the meal was the dessert; there were only two options but they were both exquisite - really the best desserts we ever had in Vancouver. Congratulations to the patisserie chef! A word about the wine - we were allowed to taste it before ordering it, which was very gratious, and the one that the sommelier recommended went really well with our meal. I liked it enough to look for it in store - when I did find it, I got dizzy thinking at the 300% mark-up in the restaurant That's how it is, one has to accept that when dining out.. In summary, I found that this restaurant is overhyped and overpriced for what it offers on its regular menu. That being said, people with deeper pockets might pay themselves much lovelier seafood towers, get a warmer service and have a completely different experience. I would definitely recommend the Boulevard for its desserts I
One word... WOW! My husband and I came here for our 11 year anniversary and we were absolutely blown away! The night started with a beautiful hand-written card and 2 glasses of champagne for our anniversary. The waiter was super friendly and funny and made sure to attend to our every need. We ordered the seafood platter and the caviar. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and decadent. The night finished with a complimentary dessert which was so thoughtful. Overall would highly recommend!!!
Truly a fantastic culinary experience. Many leading restaurants offer exceptional fare, but few can raise the whole meal to an experiential level. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed the ultimate Tasting Menu and as a couple one preferred meat dishes while the other loves seafood. No issue what so every for the talented Chef Alex Chen who crafted 2 different five course meals that were exceptionally well paired with wine for each of the 10 dishes. Manager JP wowed us with beatiful wines ! Highly recommend !
The food was delicious – I highly recommend for a celebratory or special dinner (since the price-point is high). Boulevard Kitchen had the best foie gras I have ever tasted! After we saw they won best seafood and best dessert from Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards 2019, naturally we tried the roasted sablefish, coho salmon a la plancha, and the petitis fours (small one bite dessert creations). All of which lived up to the hype. I also wanted to give a shout out to our server Lisa who was extremely informative and helped make our dinner a fantastic experience.
Happy hour munchies were good. In our dine out menu, the clams and mussels, me and my husband spit them out. Sorry not cooked and smells too fish and it made us feeling bad. Hope you got that by seeing the amount of left over which we didn't bring home. Risotto, the rice, we could feel not cooked properly. For the ppl who also want to park down stairs of the hotel, it was $35 for 1:45 mins. Just note and you can park outside. Maybe trying for regular menu next time. Servers nice.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service, the flavors, and the wines. We couldn’t have picked anything to improve on. Will definitely be back for a special occasion
Very nice place. The menu with 3 plates is good. Wine pairing was the best I had in town so far and by far! After dinner we went to the attached bar, very cool, to get another wine glass. Great night. Thank you
My wife and I had a wonderful experience tonight at Boulevard. Special thank you to Yasmin (Hostess) and Michael (Server) for providing top notch service from start to finish. The entire staff that we interacted with, and especially these two wonderful people, made our anniversary a night to remember. Thank you!
Everything tastes absolutely amazing here consistently . Great service. Will be back. Highly recommend.
Not a bad choice for oyster . Came here late night to try their oyster... yummy . They have specialty whiskey to try and a lovely place. It can be crowded and to make your reservations earlier.
Amazing restaurant. Great atmosphere, food and service! The seafood platter and entrees were excellent. The best part was their dessert! The chocolate soufflé is out of this world! Our server was attentive and professional. Highly recommend this place and will definitely go back!

Was there on the weekend for my birthday. The food, service and atmosphere were amazing! The food was beautifully-presented and delicious, our server was very professional and read our table very well. Special thank you for the cute birthday dessert with the candle - Boulevard made my special day amazing <3
Overall Food: 2.5 Service: 2.5 Ambiance: 3 Value: 2 Recommend or Repeat: N The reason we gave 2.5 for service was because we were constantly waiting on our server. He passed by a few times before we caught his attention just to get water, the bill, and the machine.
Great food, wonderful service. Whatever you do, don’t forget to try dessert and pastry! Amazing and delicious.
The sablefish was excellent. The happy hour menu items fell a little flat and the drink options during this time weren’t great. Would highly recommend as exclusively a dinner spot.
Great atmosphere and amazing food. Try their seafood tower

Ordered the seafood tower for two along with the Blvd Prix Fixe $62PP. The seafood tower came with oysters on the top and mussels, crab, crab salad, tuna tataki, and shrimp. I thought that the crab salad sauce was really good as well as the tuna tataki. The oysters were really fresh and not very strong which I enjoyed quite well. For the Blvd Prix Fixe $62PP, I had gotten the clam chowder, grilled hanger steak and I tried both desserts. The clam chowder was really tasty and u could tell that it was high quality. On the other hand, I thought that the steak presentation was amazing, but the flavors all together were average. I thought that the chocolate dessert was way too rich and heavy for my liking. The other dessert was a mixture of sweet and sour. I liked it a bit better.
Always amazing. Incredible food and the best service.
The food was fine, but nothing memorable. The price point , however, given the food made this into a place a wouldn’t recommend. It isn’t hard to find a seafood place in Vancouver with tasty , well prepared seafood dishes. Many of them are much cheaper, and honestly better food. The seafood tower was a huge disappointment, I have to admit. I would avoid that if you want to go. Again, it was all tasty, but just no soul to the good. If there was a theme or unique voice the menu was trying to say, I couldn’t figure it out. Just a bunch of technically proficient, tasty dishes, but nothing special or memorable or “wow”. What really lowered it to the 2 star was the service. It was soooooo slow, especially at the end of the night. Everything was just endless waiting between getting the menu, waiting forever, then ordering , then waiting forever, appetizers, waiting forever for main dishes. Just slow service. Competent service, nice , but by the of the night the hour long wait to get the bill just added a sour note to an overall forgettable meal
Great spot!! It's a little pricey, but it's top Chefs in Canada, so it's worth it!!
We came here for our anniversary and it was absolutely wonderful! The service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. There was even a hand written card wishing us a happy anniversary! The food was delicious; I definitely recommend the seafood tower, it was a lot of fun to eat and the everything was fresh and delightful. We added a lobster to the seafood tower because I love lobster and it did not disappoint! We had the seafood linguine and steak, both of which tasted great and were very filling. The atmosphere was nice and overall we had a great evening.
Everyone loved our experience here. Very upscale and elegant. Every single person loved the food. They even accommodated my almost two-year-old niece with a high chair, kids menu, and coloring paper and crayons!
Went for happy hour, oysters were great, house lager is easily the best house beer I've ever had. I'll definitely be back to try the mains.
The lounge is cozy and the happy hour deals are worth it. Overall good place to have a drink
You should never come to this restaurant if you wish to celebrate the birthday of a loved one. You can't bring any cake you want, and you'll have to buy and eat the tasteless cake here at a high price. I brought here a pretty and delicious cake for my lovely daughter. However, they asked for money here to bring in the cake. So I threw that cake in the trunk of my car. I wouldn't come to this unfriendly weird restaurant. The manager is the problem here.
Had an amazing,movie-like, experience at this restaurant. Although I’m a more of a simple diner, we had a work party at the Boulevard and it was pretty amazing. The servers were the entire reason our experience was so nice, they were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to provide me with drinks that I enjoyed, although they were not a part of the dinner they party menu. A special thanks to our servers Jorge and Marisol.
Went for happy hour, very delicious. Fish tacos, and chicken wings were top notch. The local raw oysters were super fresh and delicious and they pair it with a garlic vinegar concoction.
Dinner hours might be a bit noisy. However, it didn't affect 10/10 dining experience at all. Service was great (Thanks Richard!). Food was beyond my expection. That made me don't regret propose my fiance here.
Fantastic meal and excellent service. Would return again for sure!
This is an expensive restaurant. However, the service is impeccable and the food fabulous. We had the seafood tower, Atlantic cod, Coho salmon, linguine and, short ribs. Dessert was soufflé. I’d go back and recommend. My one complaint (ask?) is for larger servings given the price.
We ordered seafood tower for two and roasted octopus as starters, and roasted cod and sablefish . All seafoods were fresh and taste good, the food presentation was also good. Desserts also quite ok. Services was excellent.
Excellent service and food!! Their seafood tower is delicious and you get your bang for your buck. I had the risotto and the chocolate mousse for desert and they were both flavourful and we'll presented. It's hard to find a good risotto!
Absolutely terrific! Quality at it’s best! Food and service. Our guy Tanvier came out with a nice birthday greetings ❤️ much appreciated!
Beef and foie gras are good. And this "Canada No.1 ice cream” It's also recommended. You can try it
Been to Boulevard the second time now and both times the service has been impeccable for Vancouver standards. It was attentative but not intrusive and I'm not just talking about the waiters but in general all the staff working in this restaurant. A really good vibe. We tried the tasting menu this time and apart from the main course we enjoyed every single dish on the menu. This menu just needs a better main to give it a wow factor. The duck dish we had juat didnt click for some reason. The uni on crispy seaweed wrapper on the other hand was a delight. The uni was super fresh and with crunch of the of wrapper it just really added another dimension to thr dish. On top of that we ordered the oysters with some local sparkling wine and I have to say was one of the best oysters I've had so far in Vancouver. This is a very nice restaurant. I don't know why it doesn't have more business. I've been to other really busy restaurants with much worse food and service. This place deserves more praise.
This place was great! The service was excellent and the food super tasty. We had a combination of snacks and mains with some nice drinks. The place gets super busy and would definitely come back again.
Great place to dine in Vancouver! Good food and really good service
Good food good beers, the vibe is great. You can quickly grab a bite and drink in the lounge or sit down for something more substantial
Enjoyed the Chef’s tasting menu. It was spectacular. Wonderful, attentive service. The wine pairings were perfect! Each course was explained to us and our server was friendly, warm and unpretentious! Only downer was a table that brought 2-3 babies to the restaurant after 9pm and they proceeded to cry through our final courses. No fault of the restaurant. Sometimes I do not understand people.
Just went here with my GFs for a bday dinner and it did not disappoint! The beef carpaccio was the best I have ever tasted! I ordered the quail special and it was good although the quail was a little tough. The chocolate dessert was to die for! Our server was amazing, the ambiance was great and the overall experience was one of the better ones I have had in Vancouver in a long time. I will be back.
Amazing place. Excellent service, the waiter we had was friendly and very helpful when we were deciding on food. All of the food was amazing.
Made a reservation for my girlfriend's birthday. The staff really went out of their way to make it feel special. Several staff came by to wish her a happy birthday, we were met with a handwritten card web we arrived, and they gave her a desert taster at the end. We were definitely impressed! Food was great and service was polite and attentive. Overall, a great night.
Overpriced, mediocre quality, and small portions . I don’t recommend at all. With this much money, you can get much better quality food at much better atmosphere in this city.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Very expensive, very poor quality. The oysters were the high point; we followed them up with a $20 shrimp cocktail that was painfully overcooked, no flavor. After that were greasy soggy fries and a truly terrible chickpea dip with the greasiest pita chips I have ever seen. Bartender was rude as hell, hostess not much better and there was mold on the ceiling. Not sure how in the world this place has the ratings it does. So disappointing.
Fantastic elegant restaurant. A little on the pricey side but thank goodness it was a birthday dinner which I didn’t have to pay for. This is a very classy restaurant to experience for a birthday. Service was excellent as expected. We first sat at the lounge area and then we were moved to the dining area. This is fine dining and the service did reflect what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The pasta was fantastic - good portion, rich texture and flavorful but not too heavy. Oysters were great as starters as well. Some of the seafood towers can run up to $500 but I suppose if you had a party of 100 its $5 per person. Overall , I like the selection offered on the menu, there was good value, service was excellent and the birthday treatment was unforgettable. They quietly presented me my birthday cake with a card. Thanks Boulevard and to my best friend who brought me there because he knew I would appreciate it.
Tried some things as a part of food tour. Appetizer was okay but their clam chowder is unbelievable. I hate clam chowder, so I can confidently say that this chowder is phenomenal.
Amazing food, wine and dining experience
Went for mother's day dinner, although the ambiance and everything was really nice. The food was average it wasn't memorable the sauce/ pairing/ plaring definitely no wow factor. Would only recommend if you've never been just to check it off the list. Only thing I loved was the Teng Pao cocktail.
Simply amazing! Service and every course! We will be back
Anniversary dinner with our kids. Menu was nice, food was good, service was professional but not super friendly.
It was in close walking distance to our hotel so we took a stroll for happy hour. First time here and we enjoyed ourselves. When entering they give you the option Of high tables, low tables in modern decor or the old school traditional lounge in dark wood and ornate furnishings including large dark wood bar. Our service was pleasant and the happy hour menu and beverage list was eclectic Very good, food and beverage served all quality ingredients If in the area again we would return for sure
Always whenever I visit there, they serve great food and super kind and friendly service. I like this place and visit again soon.
Just Go. No hype, no facade. A bar none steak and oyster bar. Top 5 in Vancouver ????
We were a group of 7 girlfriends out for dinner. The server was wonderful. The food was good. Amazing seafood tower and pear desert. Now what was disappointing was the restaurant NOT following the Covid vaccine passport rules for restaurants. Our vaccine QR code’s were quickly looked at but that’s it. NO QR Codes were scanned and NO ID was asked for. One of the guests with our group is a server and she stressed how they are not following the rules. I know for a fact that there are many fake QR codes out there that do not scan. We were not confident that we were surrounded only by vaccinated guests. Disappointed that a restaurant of this caliber is not diligently following the Covid rules.
Food is quite good, portion abit small. Good service.
Amazing happy hour food and drink quality ! Wings and fries are must try items! Will definitely come back for dinner!
Have only been for a special vegan harvest tasting menu but it was a very nice experience. Not mind blowing but worth the price and the wine pairings were excellent. Would happily try again. For anyone doing something similar, seek out the canapes as I only had one come around to me; next time I'll make sure to more actively flag the staff to ensure trying all of the things.
This time is for my birthday. In term of foods and services, they never ever disappoint us. Wonderful foods, great taste, romantic environment, and service with heart. All of them are nice, and that’s the main reason we always go back, and of cos, the chef is great too. Highly recommended!!
Great happy hour at the restaurant inside our hotel! And nice service at the bar. Drinks were $7 and oysters were $2 each. We also got the galbi dog for $10 which was not bad. I wish they had more food but that's happy hour for you. Overall recommended for a drink and app! Check the website for an updated menu in case it changed but this was in February.
We went for the dineout Vancouver menu tonight. The food was good and service provided by Ymimini was phenomenal.
Good overall experience. All the food was great in the tasting menu except the fish was dry. The staff was on top of everything at all times for refilling drinks and water as well as our food. The only thing I thought was different was no one ever asked if everything was good (or a variation of that). The room is loud but not obnoxious. I would recommend this as a dinning option in the future.
Dinner
We loved our dinner in Boulevard! Wonderful food and excellent service. I loved my oysters, especially my sun seekers. I also love the sea urchin appetizer. The grilled Ling Cod was outstanding. My son's sable fish a delight. My wife loved her salmon. My wife also loved the beets appetizer as did my son with the wagyu carpaccio. It was a great night and fantastic dinner.
