This Bowling Alley belongs to the category of Bowling alley.
My Handsome son works there, and He introduced me to his staff team! Everybody was very nice and friendly. I have never seen such a BIG bowling facility like Big Al's..WE NEED A BIG AL'S IN GEORGIA!????
It was our first time here and absolutely loved it. The kid had a blast in the arcade and us adults got to take our drinks with us as well. I highly recommend the huckleberry drink. The bowling was good as well. The cosmic is actually cheaper if you plan on playing multiple games though. Our service was AMAZING! Drink service and I believe her name is Mandi, was right there as soon as we finished a beverage. She was so on point. Her service is what will bring us back again and again. Even the young girl working on the "prize" area was informative and nice. Definitely recommend
Super friendly staff! Great food! Had a lot of fun first time going to Big Al's. Minus 1 star because my favorite game Dance dance Revolution, on the left pad, the up arrow doesn't work. Killed my vibe right away, since I couldn't play against my brother. That was my only issue :) highly recommend!
Good place for kids had lots of fun. food was ok and prices were a bit high but ok for a fun night out with the family
Expensive! Its a bowling alley with lots to do but expect to spend some money. We did the slider lanes with 3 people. Had appetizers, drinks and dinner. We then went off to play arcade games. The guy at the front was rude but our waitress was awesome.
This place is rad with a lot of activities! With that being said it is very disorganized. There seems to be a lot of staff but not a lot of people working together. Despite the chaos and lack of organization with the arcade and bowling lanes, we were still able to have a great time and my daughter loved the free birthday sundae!
The staff is excellent. We recieved great service, even in the midst of a busy night, the staff was attentive as we were bowling. The games were also fun and there were plenty of them. The food was overpriced and bad quality. I ordered the lettuce wraps, which just tasted like sugar. My friends also ordered the tots, which were too greasy, and cauliflower bowl (can't remember the exact name) which was in the same sugary sauce the lettuce wraps had. Was very disappointed in the food and the prices.
Front desk lady the host was mean teen over the weekend was a rude jude
Big Al's is definitely my families go-to for a lot of reasons. My wife, 5 year old son and myself always enjoy the arcade. Whenever we have a family event or something similar, Big Al's is always a choice for us due to fun for the kids in the arcade, bowling for all the adults and a good variety of food and drinks. My company has even rented out the private bowling area and even that was a blast. If you're looking to have fun for more than a couple hours, I'd definitely consider this place.
A little bit on the spending side as far as food goes definitely worth the money though for the fun time spent with family and friends there's something for everybody to do here
We had so much fun here! We had a family group of 10 and were able to get two lanes together on a Saturday afternoon. We first tried the new bowling alley at The Vancouver Mall but left when we found a long wait and an overly noisy arcade. Big Al's had such a better vibe, a family atmosphere, and all around fun. If I lived in the area this would be a regular place to hang with family and friends!
Mac n cheese was delicious. Place is too pricey for me tho. Fun place for kid's or young adults. Definitely wouldn't come here to drink.
Not only was there no service in sight me and my siblings were completely lost on where to get food and on top of that there was extremely long line to chase in our tickets. There was no time limit so people were in there for 20 minutes plus making us all very agitated. We ended up leaving in anger and honestly I don’t ever wanna come back
I once gave this location 5-stars for friendly staff, reasonable prices, and good happy-hour deals. I feel compelled to change this review because of changes to Big Al's throughout the pandemic. The food is far more expensive now, but besides the nachos, portions are niggardly. Only the unpopular food items are discounted during happy hour, and even the hours for that have been restricted. Pizza is still good, but nothing here is worth the price. Eat somewhere else before or after, and bowl without the distraction. You'll have more fun. Secondly, many of the bowling lanes repeatedly malfunction and need to be fixed. Guaranteed you will end up sitting next to a family with rude, loud children, it's simply unavoidable and there is no "kids-free" area like there should be. Big Al's can't seem to decide whether it's a family establishment or a place for adults to have fun, and it's trying to have its cake and eat it too. Only the bar is free of children, and it's in the middle of the building- absolutely no privacy or intimacy. They also closed their bowling ball shop to make more room for arcade games. However, it's still not all bad. The staff is still friendly, and will give you an extra free game and move you if your lane malfunctions for too long. Ordering online with the QR codes on the tables makes getting food a lot more convenient. And, they have a good selection of balls and shoes for use. The arcade is cheaper than Round One, and still just as fun, with plenty of candy and other cheap prizes for kids to earn in one visit. It's a fun place if you go at the right time, eat before or after instead of there, and are lucky enough to get seated away from screaming children and giant birthday parties. The fact that these problems rise up so often is the reason it's 3 stars now.
The food was good and the bowling was fun. I love the atmosphere. Unfortunately I do not like the fact that there are no servers for tables and you have to order everything either online or through the bar. Very poor staff at the bar and I was not helped or even acknowledged for atleast 5 minutes while I stood infront of them. Would come again for the bowling and arcade but I won't be ordering any food or drinks.
Clean lanes, Arcade games are working. Food is good. And great staff! All very helpful. I’ll be having my sons 10th birthday party here this year.
Besides customers trying to hack your Facebook account over Big Als Public WiFi for Customers, the food and hang out is great. To answer your question: Sitting at your bar 3 minutes after connected to your public wifi, people are hacking into devices for personal information, i have a secure login to my Facebook any attempt to access it notifies me, and it did soon as I'm on your network, i get a notification of someone is trying to log in and change my password to my account. I don't think it's necessarily your fault, just bad customers... But the wifi should be monitored...
This is a must stop for families! Arcade games, bowling and pool table and a huge bar for the adults. Huge screen TVs for sport games and ufc/boxing matches. Decent food and a trust worthy spot to let the kids run around.
Even as an employee I really enjoyed spending time here with friends. The food is better than your standard bowling alley food and they have a great drink selection. Arcade games get traded between the stores about once a quarter which keeps the games selection pretty fresh.
Really fun time bowling and playing arcades and they have good mixed drinks
Xandria at the ticket return counter was really helpful!! I had a great time bowling!!!
Good sports bar with good service, definitely would recommend if you are looking for a place to watch football. They also have a large selection of arcade games and many bowling lanes. The only drawback is the food, don't expect the healthiest or finest food available for a sports bar/arcade establishment, still tasted good and the alcohol choices are fine as well.
Great spot for family celebrations or a fun date night. The sports bar was large with games like pool, shuffleboard, and ping pong. The arcade was a blast with lots of options for kids and adults, and the bowling alley's were small and intimate, yet plentiful enough to eliminate wait time.
Bowling, arcades and sports bar all in one. I have been here various times and with different groups. The service is spotty but the food quality is consistent. American fair food, which is not bad but can tends to be a bit overpriced.
We went here for my 30th birthday. It was so much fun. We had about an hour and ten minute wait for lanes on a Saturday at 1:30pm. We played in the arcade and got our prizes and the our lanes were ready. The servers were very nice and the food was great. I always love going to big Al's.
Why does bowling cost $48.00 for an hour... My only complaint is the prices here... They do offer military discount though, so that does help a little bit... However, it was very clean inside...
Jon is amazing. He went above and beyond at our last visit. He is the epitome of excellent customer service. Plus, the steak bites were incredible!
It's always fun to go here, if you're getting the food, may take some time.
Bowling! Video Games! prizes! The food is super good.. what more could you ask... Oh they are also great at social distancing measures. Recommend I must!
Nice place to hangout. Bowling monitor software can be updated in a much better way. And VIP place has separate area which is nice but maintenance can be better. Sofas are very dirty. Red Cloth has become somewhat dirt black. Food is amazing and drinks are also nice. Gaming place is available for children and adults. I wish they had more specials for rates. But overall a good experience.
They all area have accepted responsibility all about. How to grow and safer. What and how learning they doing in process all Big Al's areas. Working together and knowledge learning experience and food has will provided what people really loves all about . Being awesome work and keeping more has will. Truly trusting one other and love a neighbor each other. Lean on LordJesusChrist
Really expensive if you don't go during a special event hour. Not enough seating especially if you're going bowling with more than four people. The food is pretty good though and so are the drinks.
Great fun! Lots of activities for all ages, food, bar and more! Huge place!
The service here SUCKS!!! They have good drinks. Nice atmosphere. The sports bar is cool. But the service is Bobodooky!! Except the little lady at the front with purple hair. She was awesome. And the music was on this obnoxious loop!! It was so frustrating. You could tell that they just couldn't care less.
The food is over priced, the arcade games are limited, but at least cleaned, and working. The bowling alley is fun if you go with a group. Plenty of parking, it's the only decent arcade in the area. Very family friendly.
Food was great! Service was lacking a little never got asked about refills for our drinks. You also have to get your own condiments from a condiment section which they do not tell you about until you ask.
Great service in the restaurant, good food and drinks. We went here for my nephew's birthday. The kids had a great time, and it was far from horrible for the adults. If I could return just for the bar/restaurant portion, I would (but I doubt my kids would let me). Definitely hit up the happy hour apps. It was a great deal to buy the kids meals. $7 includes a generous kids portion and $5 card for the arcade. All my kids enjoyed our time there (ages 1-10).
Pretty sweet arcade/family/date place. Whatever you need they got. Sports bar is awesome too!
First time back since COVID opening, prices have doubled but understandable since they can only run half the lanes. Very clean glad to be back!
Great bowling alley, pretty OK arcade area. Prices are a bit steep on weekends, but it's still loads of fun. Don't forget, if you put too much money onto your Big Al's card, you can use it to pay for bowling and food as well.
Love the bowling experience. The complimentary water was much appreciated. We drank a lot of it while laughing and having fun with friends. The shoes fit about a 1/2 size smaller; so size up. Take some friends and enjoy a night out. We showed up at about 7:15 pm on a Friday and didn't have to wait for a lane. It was great.
The most awesomest bowling alley in the county, if not state! Part can be seen if you look at the pictures, you can tell it's beautiful and well taken care of inside. They have good food, arcade games, and are more affordable than you would think. Check on their website for specials such as $2 Tuesday. Also, like many other bowling alleys, yes, this place knows how to handle large groups.
Fun place to go bowling & fun in the arcade area. We always have fun here but their staff needs some customer service training...staff is friendly but felt like we had to go out of our way to ask for basic things like refills, napkins, sugar etc. When the waitress spilled water on our table & floor...they cleaned the floor up with napkins vs. a mop. So not all the water was gone & my husband ended up slipping & fell when he bowled. Very unsafe!
Great place for family fun, with decent prices. Bowling side was great, but the restaurant not so much. Wait times were long and our food was cold when it finally was served. Pro tip: enjoy the recreation but eat somewhere else.
I had family visiting from out of town and we decided to go bowling at Big Al's. Long story short, my nephew had a blast! I wanted to take this opportunity to give kudos to your bowl desk staff member Andre. This young man answered my questions and is an absolute professional. Please pass this review to him as he made my familie's experience at Big Al's a memorable one. Thank you Andre!
It was really expensive but its got peak equipment, games and food services. I Bowled here recently and loved it. Great visuals asthetics and friendly staff.
We had my daughter's 6th birthday party here and it was great! They gave us 3 Lane's, which was plenty of space for all the kids, parents, grandparents, etc. The gal who hosted our party was attentive, and so helpful. The price point for the party was rather high, probably the most I've ever paid for a birthday party in the area. However, my daughter was thrilled with being able to bowl and then play in the arcade after. The selection of prizes was really nice, better quality than I expected. If the sticker shock doesn't bother you, then I highly recommend for birthdays!
A great place to have fun!!! Take your kids to have a blast with all the countless games and prizes. Or maybe do some bowling, with some chicken wings and beverages. The adults can also have some fun with the bar there you can have a drink with your buddies or family. They play very appropriate music so you dont need to worry about that. They do have snacks and other food items. Though this place can be a little spendy, I always have a blast coming here with my family. The way the tickets workis you put money into a card they make their so all your kids or you do is swipe, then play. Check this place out very fun.
What a beautiful location, full of fun! We came with my husband's work for a Christmas party, and had fun bowling, even though we had to move lanes because the ball return wasn't working. The food was mediocre, but it's a bowling alley, so we didn't expect much. I had a taco salad and the lettuce was on it's way out. The waitstaff accidentally dropped one of the children's meals, and they never brought it back out, until they were going to bring the check. They made it better by bringing more food out which was kind, but also to be expected, and then they removed it from the bill. They gave the kids play cards for the arcade, which I don't know if that was an extra or it came with the kids' meals, and they gave us one extra; which was very nice. One major downfall was that SO many of the arcade games were $1.25-$2.00 to play! This was truly shocking, and ate through the game cards very quickly. It was very hard to explain to a 4 year old. Beautiful location, mediocre food, okay bowling (I'm fairly certain the floor isn't level), and super expensive arcade games. We may go back, but very likely only once in a long while. We were very grateful for their intent to fix things that went wrong.
Ok place for some entertainment. Food is decent nothing too go crazy over, but fun little spot for a group of folks.
Awesome place to go watch a game but too expensive for me. $12 for a beer.
This is probably the biggest bowling alley I have seen and been to. It is very nice inside with lots of lanes including a private section. They have a full sized arcade as well. The waits here can be insane. We had a small group of 4 people and waited over 2 hours. What made the wait even longer is that one of the employees misinformed us about the private area. I have been here a few times and every time the waits we're too long. It makes The fact that you can't call them to reserve a spot make things even worse. Something to consider if you are coming from a distance. Other than that the food and the rest of the service was good.
Went bowling and hung out at the Arcade for my birthday! Had so much fun!
The hours during this last summer were horrible. Honestly thankful for that. Now it gives me more reason to not have to haul my kiddos over there.
Cool place to hang out on a warm summer day! We ordered the nachos and oh my God, so tasteful and filling for two people. I we loved the service as well. I will definitely come back again. Thank you, Big Al's!
We went on a Saturday with the intention of playing in the arcade and do some bowling. The arcade was great. They had quite a few games to choose from, and you earn points depending on how well you play the game. Those points can later be cashed in for toys and candy from the little arcade store. The reason I gave the place only 3 stars is that when we showed up it was a 2 HOUR wait to bowl! To me that is just crazy. We really wanted to bowl, but not that bad. So, we ended up at skyzone instead and had a fantastic time. I will give Big Al's another try, but definitely on a different day of the week.
It was a great place to celebrate a 2 yr.olds birthday with family
Don't order the pizza, I ordered a BBQ pizza and there was barely any sauce on it the green peppers were black the chicken was hard. It took forever for them to make it so I have no doubt they just carelessly over cooked it. The bowling it self is really fun well worth the money
Lots of lanes. A bit loud but that's the atmosphere. Solid food and drink options. Restaurant is huge.
Big Al's is fun for everyone! We love going here. The food comes in huge portions and is always delicious. Nachos are great, the small feeds way more than 2-3 people, could use more cheese in the layers, but still good.
We rented a room for my sons 7th birthday party, we did an arcade party so no private lane. They worked with us to get what we wanted and did the set up, they were attentive to everyone without being in the way. It worked great and made it low stress for us! Recommend it.
The bowling was good, but I don't they actually have servers. You can order from your phone, but we waited for over an hour for food, then had no idea who to talk to because there wasn't a server in sight. Don't expect any offers of refills or help with much of anything. On young lady did get us a lighter ball and a ramp for our son to bowl with which I really appreciated. We will likely try going again during the week when it isn't so busy and hopefully the staff has time to help people.
Food was burned. Took 15 min to get napkins for pizza?? Line for bar took 30 min to get a beer.
I typically rate this place very high but I'm giving 3 stars because of the game section. 16 games were out of order or down and there was ZERO technician on the floor to help. The food was still tremendous but it's all automated now with a QR scan app....so the customer service on the floor is straight up gone. Otherwise, kids still had fun!
So much fun...Every Tuesday after 5pm is $2 per game for bowling. Shoes are $2. Beer or pop $2. Not a very good bowler but we had a blast anyway. Then checked out some of the arcade games. The virtual reality was so amazing! Felt like a Disney ride. The picture booth was fun as well. All and all, it was one of the best nights I have had in a very long time.????
We had my sons 30th Birthday Party in the bar & it was a great hangout for the adults. Pool, shuffleboard, giant jenga, giant connect 4, ping pong, dinner, drinks & the kids entertained themselves in the arcade.
The place is awesome and very fun! The portions are MASSIVE! The only downside side I have here is the food is not bad but it's not very good
Called to reserve a lane and was told that "we don't reserve lanes but 2:00 on a Saturday we are slow so you will have no problem getting one" this was BULL we showed up for a birthday party and it was PACKED! We had to wait almost an hour to bowl and by that point the kids were so grumpy (3-4 year olds) and it was beyond hot and way to loud. We had to yell to even year anyone let alone soft spoken kids. The cashier was nice enough to discount the lane so that was nice and she told me the people in the back answer the phones and have no idea what they are talking about so that's something that needs to be looked into.
Bowling with the family in Slider Alley, the back bowling alley. Everything was great until another group was assigned directly next to us, and had to use our bowling cart and screen. There were plenty of other lanes open as well so I'm not sure why they'd assign another group directly next to us, as we had a party of 6 that needed both sofas. No social distancing enforced nor masks. The waitresses were nice though. Update! Just had to move all six of our party onto one sofa! How pleasant! Definitely won't be coming back anytime soon
Good family fun location with decent food and drink. The arcade and sports bar are great with kids off bowling lanes. The only drawback is long wait for lanes, took us nearly two hours mid day on a Saturday.
Great service, okay food, but our lanes kept on breaking on us, two of them. We still had fun, but if we were playing seriously, it would have been a little upsetting having to change from one broken lane to another.
Over priced bowling & games, 100db+ crappie music on a 6 track loop, low action lanes make even good bowlers bowl 50 points below average. Every time I go there I wonder why I did it again. Only gave it two stars because the bar area is alright and the manager at the front desk was nice.
Bowling is fun and the lanes are usually kept up nicely. Like the food and the staff is friendly and helpful. My daughter loves the game arcade and we do spend quite a bit of time there. My only gripe is the value/cost of the games. Price is just a bit too high for these games.
We come here often for bowling. Tuesday specials are a great deal. Otherwise, it is hardly affordable to be able to have a night out and bowl a few games. The food prices are outrageous for what you get. The pizza alone is really good however you are charged top dollar for the toppings. You can’t even get a half and half pizza without being charged for all of the toppings. It can get really expensive fast. They charge upwards of $17 for salads as well. It’s unfortunate that this place is really the only one around for some entertainment and bowling as Crosleys closed recently. It’s just expensive unless you can make it on a Tuesday, otherwise I would enjoy it more.
Great place all around. Bowling to start, hey something to eat, everything thing we've ordered has been excellent. After bowling hit the arcade, lots of fun. Take your kids out and check this place out. Worth it!
Big, newish, friendly bowling alley. We had an exceptionally good time. The staff is friendly, and because of their size they are able to stagger the lane assignments. Overall a delightful experience. We will go back often this summer!
WENT THERE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AT 6:30PM. AND THEY WERE OUT OF NACHOS AND CLUBHOUSES. THE PRICES WERE VERY HIGH!! PLACE WAS ABOUT 50 PERCENT CAPACITY. LEFT THERE TO GO TO SHERI'S RESTAURANT.
Great bowling alley and arcade with yummy bar food and a few decent beers
Very disorganized staff, booked two lanes with one lane that had no display, our bowling lanes were warped, the lanes was sticky and not maintained, the staff double booked our lane with a different group for the same time slot. The food was good, drinks were ok and when they had the chance to help they tried to make it right. Overall, there are probably understaffed and super busy so I give them an extra star for pity's sake.
This place is always fun. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive. Arcade games shouldn't cost $2 to play.
It’s always clean but the service is mediocre and the pricing increments on the games is weird.
I came her last Friday with my family and really had a blast. I've been here before but today I really received great service. Mark, Savannah and Andre were great. They really took care of my family. My family was visiting from Utah so it was a little bit of a hassle to round everyone up and pick the shoes for example. They were so helpful, patient and overall warm and inviting. The server Chase was also really great! Thank you so much everyone.
Big Al's is a fun place to bring the kids. The lanes are not all beat up and play well. There's a good selection of house balls to use as well. If it's busy, table service can be a little slower, but you can always hit the 'service' button to call for some help. It's pretty nice to be able to order any food or drink you'd like right at the table. We also participated in the kids bowling over the summer and they got a kick out the games/arcades afterwards.
I think this is among the better alleys I've been to. There's lots of lanes (although there is very frequently a wait), they are generally well maintained and in good working order, and in the back group of lanes the balls to use are much better than the traditional ones most alleys have on hand to use. Cons: This is actually my first time going, even though I've been there 3 or more times. The wait is pretty bad. I thought the food was unusually slow, and while better than normal alley food, still wasn't a great value. Essentially, if you can actually get a lane, and have tempered expectations on the food, you should have a pretty solid experience.
The kids loved it. We look forward to going here whenever we are in the area. The games have always kept the kids entertained, and by letting them use their Al's Card to get food, they have the freedom to do their own thing and eat as the need grabs them. As an AAU program with players ranging from the age of 8 to 14, I can honestly say that they have something for everyone, no matter their age. I wish they had something like this in Sacramento. An easy 5 stars.
The Puri Booth was amazing and really cool you get to design the photos you take with your friends or family and eat amazing food, play awesome game and a great bowling alley!
The restaurant was deserted. Only way to order was via the phone by scanning the "thing" on the table. No one cared enough to even come to the table to explain it. Ordered iced tea and sandwich and salad. Several staff stood around behind the bar talking and we never got our drinks until the food came out. Food was mediocre, and that is generous. I do understand changes that covid brought about, but they appear have given up. To bad, it used to be a fun place to watch sports.
had the worst possible experience here. an employee that goes by the name of jenn was acting out of pocket she was being mad disrespectful and looked like an iguana. we asked her a question about why we were denied service and she responded with cussing loud enough for the entire building to hear. will be coming back as soon as she’s gone
Would love to give them more stars as I did have fun there with my son last night, but we also got sick from dinner. We are both sick. The service was great. We enjoyed the arcade and the bowling. But spending over 30 mins to leave because we couldn't get out of the bathroom was not nice. And to still be sick the next day is miserable.
If your trying to go Friday or Saturday just know this place is packed pretty regularly. The games bowling and food are all great but its definitely not a cheap. Plenty of parking but it's kinda hard to find because its tucked back from the street so have your GPS ready.
The service isn't the same as it was prior to the pandemic. I had to go to the bar and order food. The food was as good as ever! They still have the deal of buying a kids meal and getting a 5.00 play card for free..whoch is great for the kids. The kids and I had a great time.
Great place for family and friends. We've done the new years eve cosmic bowling for 2 years, have the kids invite all their friends, Parents get one lane and kids the other. Balloon drop is always fun (wish could post the video)
We just discovered this. They had kids balls, shoes, and even a ramp so it 4 yo ball made it to the pins. The alley menu was pretty good too. We'll definitely be back
Cosmic Bowling is alot of fun. Kids enjoy having bumpers that go up for there turn. They having bowling balls lighter for kids which never existed when I was a kid.
Nice arcade and bowling. I went bowling there about 5 times. Bowling is pretty cheap but arcade might be a little expensive so I recommend going to big Al's only during happy hour if you're going there just for the arcade. Happy hour gives 50% off most arcade games, not all, but most. Also it's good to mention that the fun card system just makes everything so much easier. There's lots of choices for not only the arcade but also for food and drinks. I never had any food there, the only thing that I had was red bull. the downside might be that They always have something broken, for example, if you want to play some coin dozer games 1-2 token exchange machines might be broken. In total it's a great place to go, usually not crowded, lots of arcade, and family friendly.
Great family atmosphere, but not a weird place to go with a group of adults either. Good selection of games, including games appropriate for very young children. Plinko, shooters, racing, skeeball, hoops, air hockey tables, prize claws etc. No pinball however. Two separate alleys for bowlers, and a bar right in the center of everything where you can take a breather from the flashing lights. Ticket store has a decent selection at all price levels. Not the cheapest night out but very fair and worth the price.
Great place to bowl lots of lanes. And while you wait you can go play games. It was really fun! Food was pretty good but no vegan or veggie options really sucked for us but we needed food. Like all bowling a bit pricy but fine. Help was really easy to find and they where nice!
I have witnessed one of the most unprofessional employee ever by the name of Jen, she started screaming on top of her lungs and cussing in front of everyone including children she needs to go ASAP. Very very inappropriate and unprofessional. The worst employee I have personally ever come across. You guys don’t even deserve a one star I wish there was a 0 star!
I hate it. It's almost not fair for me to review such a place. I would rather have my eyeballs delicately sliced open with a machete and then my lids held open while salt was packed on top of the fresh wounds until a solution of vinegar and iodine was used to wash it all away. That would be much much more pleasant than being at Big Al's. It's not you Big Al's, it's me. I just don't like suburbia. I also don't enjoy sensory overload. I do like good food. And I think arcade games should be less expensive than $1.50 per play. I think that restaurant service should be considerate and enjoyable. But also.. I just don't like places like this. You should definitely go here if it will keep you from standing in lines for ice cream on 40 degree days on Alberta. If this place will keep you from ruining another perfectly good breakfast place... If you just want to be seen at a place like Stanich's rather than respect the burger that has been coming from that kitchen since before you were born then you should absolutely go here.. you'll love it!! Lots of people can see you.
The food was great a lot of food. But the service was terrible!!!! They had some good games to play..
Had a couple issues with the arcade card we but the custom service was excellent and made a great experience anyway. The kids love it here and they are doing a good job with health and safety protocols.
A little pricey ! But nice ambiance and big screen tvs.
Good place for bowling, and arcades. Great experience other than when a machine broke, we (my companions and I) didn't get very good treatment, and the ordeal took close to half an hour, with it being seen as that we wouldn't be refunded more than the rest of the machine. We did gaining $5 (machine cost), but again, at the loss of half an hour. 1st pizza was perfect, 2nd was a bit doughy, not raw, but close. 4 stars as a broken machine gave me 1200 tickets.
We went there on a Saturday night and they were so busy. The manager was walking around working as hard as everyone else. We couldn't find the water station and he told us he would bring it over to us no problem. We didn't get all our food in our order and he went straight to the kitchen and got it for us. I can't express how helpful everyone was. How nice they were even though they were so busy. I was so impressed!
Went to watch the Women's World Cup game. Beverage service was great...food service was slow. 20 minutes for a side of fries. 20 minutes for a kids corn dog and fries. Good view of TV's.
Great place to bowl and have some drinks!
So much fun although drinks are crazy expensive for a long wait. I do love that you can order through your phone too.
Be prepared to pay $60 or higher for arcade games. Wish there was more games for the kiddos. Great atmosphere though and nice staff.
Food and service was good. Bowling was fun, only thing was we prepaid for 2 games and only felt like playing 1. We asked for a refund, but were offered vouches for the games instead rather then a refund. We will come back, but it is not convenient.
My family and I love to go here. The restaurant has amazing food and fun atmosphere. The arcade is fun for everyone. The bowling is definitely more expensive than at standard bowling alleys, but you don't get the creepy vibe you get at other places. The facility is kept up well.
Fun family friendly place. Prices are a little high, but if you have a coupon it's a lot more reasonable. Good pizza and milkshakes. Large TV's to watch the game and an arcade.
The arcade was OK, small and not a great layout. The food was pretty terrible. Got fish and chips. One giant piece of fish that was tough and chewy. Coleslaw had a light vinegar flavor and that was it. We asked for tartar sauce but no idea what was brought out, it was brown and looked like it was separating. Gross.
Games and bowling were fine. The biggest disappointment was our food. No wait staff, made my wife carry a large tray of drinks to our table alone after having to order at the bar. The food was subpar and not what I've experienced at Big Al's in the past. The ribs were only warm and very light on the sauce. I think the lack of wait staff was a big let down for the cost. I've been to other restaurants since covid and they are still using wait staff.
The pros: appeared very clean and family friendly. The staff at the bar were incredibly efficient and on top of their stuff. The cons from this experience (the very short version): I was over charged for a salad, the server was incredibly scattered and got several things wrong, but two examples: 1. I simply asked for no bacon, but was charged for extra of something that already came on the salad 2. I had to wait several minutes after my salad was brought to actually get eating utensils.
Lanes are nice despite being a little spendy, however the music here has recently taken a turn for the worst. One of the servers here mentioned the playlist name being named “Mom approved music”. I’m sorry, but I know moms in there 50s with better taste.
An exceptional place for bowling arcades In Bruges with great food great service it's an all-round classic place to be
Well, aesthetically it was pleasing and the gaming and bowling experience were good. The problems lie in the food system delivery and service. There was much chaos with the ordering process and most of our orders were wrong(we were seated in the bar) food was mediocre and for the price i could have ate at killer burger instead.
Nice bowling alley and nice arcade area for all ages. Huge bar and food was solid too.
The bartender was great. She was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Ordering food was a little confusing at first...you have to scan a code to see their menu on your phone then walk your order up to an ordering station and place your order with the bartender. Pool tables were great but need to bring your own cue if you have one. Theirs were all cracked.
Good size arcade, the prizes for the tickets are way too expensive. Awesome bowling - nice lanes, good amenities for the kids. Restaurant - sub par, don't expect many choices on the menu or order anything else other than a burger. The establishment is kept up and clean.
Went with my wife daughter and niece. Played pool while the kids played games. We all had a blast. The food is a bit pricy, but all in all this is an awesome way to spend a Saturday with the family.
A fun place in Vancouver. Customer service is excellent. Food is delicious. Fun is unlimited. Covid protocols are enforced to keep people safe. An overall great experience to watch sports, participate in gaming, or do competitive billiards or bowling.
This place is fun and a great place to take kids. However it seems like they have switched out some of their funner arcade games for things like a photo booth and a good handful of the games were out of order last time we were there. The bowling is fun but sometimes they get so busy that you have to be put on a wait list to bowl
Love this place!! I bowl here three nights a week. Two dollar Tuesdays is the greatest value around. The Tachos are amazing. Wednesday night is my league night and the servers are always great. Thursday night is party time with Monte Carlo, where you can win all sorts of prizes and have a great time with friends old and new. Love... This... Place!!!
Big Al's is a fun place however, this review will be about the event planning in particular. I had planned a surprise party for my wife's birthday and had gone through the process of picking the date as well as dropping a pricey $300 deposit for my event which was slotted for the 26th of October. About a week after putting down the deposit, I found out that my wife actually had very different plans that I didn't know about at the time which is fine and not a crime. Juanita was one of the planners that I had spoken with and originally helped me with picking out the event. My wife felt bad and we decided to go into Big Al's to describe the miscommunication about my wife having other plans and we were not going to be able to do the event. Juanita replied by saying she would have to talk to her manager that was not present at the moment. About two days later Juanita replies via email saying "I did receive word back from my Event Manager who said unfortunately a contract was signed and the only way to apply it back to you guys is by an event." I was really surprised that my only option was towards another event that we would still have to pay an additional amount of money to host (not to mention they gave me a deadline of October to respond with another event date). There was no offers for even a gift card which I would think would be the least they could do. At least if it was a gift card I would feel that I would not have spent $300 for nothing. Another thing that was confusing is that they cater the food at the events but there is no way to sample the food to see if you or anyone else would even like it. For anyone planning an event here, please do not send Big Al's any money as a deposit if you have any doubts at all about making the event.
My kids’ grandparents take us all to Big Al’s every year for spring break. This has become something we all look forward to. They have a great selection of games and the food is tasty! I definitely recommend them for family fun!
Place is awesome. Great atmosphere. However I came in when it was jam packed and they are under staffed on the adult side of the building. The bartenders and hostesses were working as hard as any human physically could. The owners just need to hire a few more bar tenders. The place is massive and was literally packed. God bless those bartenders:-)
Completely horrible. Don't go with visa gift cards and a party of 15. The food was over cooked, burnt and had to be sent back. Never again
Arcade and cosmic bowling? Yes, please! ???????? ???????? Restaurant, bar and confession stand. It can get a little pricey but it’s fun for sure!
Great for bowling! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the look, and the people! Good family activity. Biggest drawback was the music videos. I'm not a fan of most of the music, but others might be. It was mainly pop with young people singing.
Great place to have some fun, but be prepared to wait up to 3 hours for a lane on the weekends and you will pay an extremely inflated rate for bowling. Shoes and 2 games will run you $17, in most normal bowling alleys you will pay $4-6 for shoes and maybe $10 an hour for the lane. In an hour 4 people can bowl 2-4 games. It was fun and they have some very cool arcade games as well but I doubt I'll be returning soon.
Overpriced. $32 for two people to play two rounds? So expensive. Also 75% of the people bowling aren’t wearing masks. 5-7 year old children kept walking into our lanes and no parents in sight.
Food did not show up before our bowling game was over. What we DiD get, was the wrong order, late and cold and NOT good quality at all!! No one waited on us and we were left to tend to ourselveves.......super sucked. Food is gross.
Great place lots of stuff to do, there’s arcade games and bowling, and good food at their restaurant
Great place for some fun and games. Service was lacking and removed are remaining food away before we got to finished it. After we said something the girl just shrugged and said sorry. We had ordered 5 different side items and only had gotten threw about a little over half of the order before it was disposed of by the staff because we had been playing some games with our kids in the video game area and when we came back a few mins later to go bowl, it was gone. Oh and yes our Lane was still open for us because we had just started a new game. I felt that the staff was just too happy to get ride of our group because we had been there for a few hours during a birthday get together.
Tuesdays are the best. Order the 2 dollar tots!
This is a great place to take kids after school on rainy days! There's a happy hour block of time where some arcade games are discounted. It's wise to look into the deals they have. We love it here and we haven't even been bowling yet haha. Don't forget to register your "tokens/credits/tickets" card! If it gets lost they can pull up how much money or ticket credits you have on it and apply it to a new card.
Great place for family and friends. Lots to do but long waits during peak times.
It's a fun place to hang out. It has arcade games in addition to bowling. I have only been here twice but both times the bowling lanes have been glitchy. The machine will skip people's turns, give people zero points or give them strikes when they didn't actually get those scores. The atmosphere is pretty family oriented depending on the day of the week and time that you go. The customer service has been really good both times that I have gone.
I have only had their food and have done the arcade. If arcade is what you are looking for go to Round1. They have 250 arcade games. Big Al's is more meant for younger kids. The food is good. They have a ton of TVs for sports channels in the dining area.
No table side service, we got half our food & it took another 15-20 mins to get the rest. We were told we could sit in their skybox area & a very large party came in after us. We were told the area was not reserved for a private party but it evidently was. The other party was loud & unruly. It made my family's dinner uncomfortable.
Took my daughters, my youngest (14) had never bowled before but she beat me.......had a great time. My bloody Mary was delicious, and the girls enjoyed the sample platter!
its a really fun place with some decent games, manager and employees are awesome. Prices are a bit high and the ticket prizes are way too high even for some candy- Otherwise its nice
Fun place never been there coming from Seattle area it was cool to see but I caught covid 01/01/22 after we left the next day I felt weird and the following day I was full blown covid be careful there.
Took our 4 year old Granddaughter. 1st experience for all of us. Staff is young, HS age, but very friendly and helpful! Dez loved the virtual ride they had. She insisted that I go on it with her. It was scary, but fun. We will be back! It's right behind our Chiropractor's office.
Big Al's is the unholy lovechild of a Hooters and a Chuck E. Cheese, but with better pizza, and no skimpy outfits. It's the ManBearPig of entertainment venues: half sports bar, half arcade, half bowling alley (wait...that's too many halves!); an indoor amusement center for the whole family! There's a lot going on here, yet it doesn't get itself muddled up in what it is trying to accomplish. With more than two dozen lanes (maybe three?), wait times are rarely more than an hour, and even then, that's only when the floodgates are released and the surge hits (such as reopening weekend after COVID restrictions are relaxed). The arcade has a vast selection of family friendly party-style games (air hockey, DDR), co-op shooters, "ticket"-dispensing/quarter swallowing staples (skee ball, basketball), and much more. All the games are accessed digitally via pre-purchased credit cards, and range from ~$0.10 for the carnival games to a buck and change for the large arcade cabinets. Your prize "tickets" are similarly accrued on this card (don't lose it!) and can be cashed in at the prize center across the way (if you can stomach the annoyingly long line with eager kids in tow). As for the bowling alley, well...it's a bowling alley. They have cosmic bowling sometimes. You throw balls at pins. That's pretty much universal, right? Not much commentary needed, I think. The food is sports, for lack of a better term, Red Robin-esque: decent, if overpriced, and comes in sizeable portions. Same can be said for the cocktails and brews - not quite on the cusp of movie theater pricing, but in the same ballpark. They have a captive audience, and they know it. Still, you could do worse. I've had a Near Death experience here; well...the burger was called the "Near Death" and, to their credit, it was one of the few spicy food items I've ever eaten in a restaurant that gave me pause, due to the intensity of the heat. I'd eat it again, but I'd warn lightweights away from it! in short, if you're looking for a good time with friends or family, you can find it here at Big Al's. It might not be cheap, but it'll be a good time.
Big Al's is what it is, meaning it's a fun place w ok eats, but is gonna cost ya some bucks. I'm not opposed to spending some money for a good night out, but I've never seen video games so expensive?!? 1 game I played w my 8 yr old son costs me $5 for every life! It wasn't virtual reality or anything fancy either, just an older sit down game. For dinner, we had a party of 12. Our waiter made dinner a total disaster. I'm far from picky BTW. No napkins, no water, incorrect food orders, and our waiter was amazing at disappearing. I ordered the "Notorious P.I.G", and it was disgusting! My bad for not reading the menu better I guess, but Mac & Cheese shoved in a burrito shell does not make an awesome burrito! The manager could tell we weren't happy with our experience, and comped us free bowling and made sure the waiter we got in the lanes was awesome! I would have given this place 1 Star, but they did make every effort to make things right. I probably won't be going back anytime soon, but if you're prepared to spend the money you can definitely have a good time here
Not worth the money! Games are expensive, organized kaos, food arrived cold and service was 2.5 stars at best. A great place for a late night date, I guess, but not as kid friendly as you would think.
Don't get me wrong I love big als but when I was there most of the lanes were out of commission and there was a one and a half hour wait time so we just played some games which was fun but in reality you go to big als for bowling
If you go here for bowling you won't like it. The ball weight listed aren't the actual weight since out far they drill the holes and the lanes are over oiled.
Nice and updated. Good prices for beer and apps.
This place is enormous, super new and fancy and has anything you could want on a group bowling outing. Facilities are really clean and the entire place is just shiny and new. There's a full arcade facility for those not into bowling and plenty of lanes so you should be able to find a spot most visits. We had a company excursion here and it was catered in the dining room at the back of the facility with our own entire side of lanes to ourselves. They really made it all seem so effortless. Thank you for hooking us up and making our team building a joy!
Great place to spend time with family and kids.
I love this location. Every one is so helpful and nice. We were here for a birthday party, our third so far, and the service was excellent and the hostess was very sweet and on top of things. They never flinched when we asked for more ramps for the kids and tons of smaller weight balls. Definitely recommend. Only downside is the food is very pricey.
It's been a little while since my family has been here. But unfortunately this was not a very pleasant trip. We were here for my son's 7th birthday and because of COVID not a single parent would allow their child to come with us. We started the night off with bowling which my family has always enjoyed. After that we went to the restaurant to eat. The food was a let down to day the least.. There was literally no service. We walked in an asked for a seat.. they then explained you seat yourself and order from an app... it felt like they were trying to avoid all customers. Including telling you to get your own condiments from the far side of the restaurant. The waitress forgot our daughter's drink. She tried to claim it wasn't on the order but since you are required to order from an app that will not let you place the order of the kids meal without selecting a drink it just showed their lack of interest to serve their customers. My husband and I ordered a nacho to split as we have done in the past knowing our kids would pick at it while they waiting for their food but it was served cold. Each child got a $5 card for games with their meals which used to be a good deal. The kids would be able to play games for a good 30-45mins on those cards. Or at least they used to. The prices have gone up on the games and some of them wouldn't give tickets because their cards were "bonus cards" ultimately the kids got to play two games each before they had too low of a balance to play anything else but the child's air hockey. The whole experience was a big let down and we will not ever be going back.
We used to love going, but lately the food and service has gone down hill. Pizza was dry and over cooked and we were given chicken nachos rather than the beef that we ordered. When we brought it to our server's attention. He shrugged it off and said he must have made a mistake, but offered nothing in return.
We checked in as a party of 6 at 7 for bowling. We finally got a lane at 7:30. Shortly after 8 they started announcing that at 9 they were closing!? (Found out later somebody had rented the whole place for a graduation night!) It sure would have been nice if somebody had told us that before we bought and paid for three games shoes and food and drinks!
We had my sons birthday party here and it was perfect! Our personal server was very attentive and we plenty of room to mingle at the lanes while we ate and celebrated my kiddo. Highly recommend having your get together here.
Terrible customer service this evening. When i say terrible I mean I've never been treated more poorly by staff at an establishment before. Absolute filth everywhere I turned. No T.P in women's bathroom. Lanes kept malfunctioning. And it was incredibly over crowded. I will probably never go back to this Big Al's again! Very disappointed in how downhill this bowling alley has gone. This used to be a place I absolutly loved to go to. I wish I could give this negative 5 stars.
It is unbearably loud. We tried to eat dinner at the restaurant while waiting for a bowling lane and ended up leaving the restaurant area after 5 minutes because it was extremely loud from the tv's they have. Then we thought we would eat in the front lounge and decided it was just to loud to enjoy ourselves. I am sure some people do just fine but the level of noise from the tvs, music, and games completely undermined any chance of enjoying our time there. We will not go back.
Big Al's is kind of a hidden gem. The dining area is totally separate from the bowling and game area and it offers a lot for the casual diner/bar goer/sports enthusiast. The bar area is huge and has shuffleboard, three or four pool tables, and large TV's everywhere. The food is a bit pricey, but good. I really liked the french dip sandwich. My daughter's sandwich came with cheese which they fixed right away (she ordered it without) then they gave us $15.00 worth of game credits! I would definitely come here to eat again.
Very busy and energetic place In the bar area, especially on game nights. The food was good not great. It feels like things are put together quickly. The mixed drinks were rather bitter but reasonably priced, the beer was good. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately it seems this place has gone down hill st least in the video game area Bowling is still fine. A bit pricey for regular so a night bowling with family can rack up fast. Was very disappointed they removed the only two really good games there and replaced with a drop and grab game. Bummer sir hockey was broken too. Probably won't go back unless we had to...
So we showed up on the restaurant side and there weren't any signs saying wait for seating or seat yourself. So we waited, a few mins later a lady came and told us it was seat yourself. So we sit, make our order online, pay over $100 for our meal (family of 5), and wait over a half hour before our food comes. Our appetizer came with all our food and when we asked about that, the server rudely let us know we should have ordered it separately first. Ok no big deal, just kind of confused with this new "minimal servers" service style. Moving forward, both burgers we got were burnt to a black crisp around the edges. The appetizer quesadilla was quite dry and had a funky taste anyway. We did not get offered refills, extra napkins, or so much as any acknowledgement from any wait staff the entire time we sat at the table. This is the second time we have had an experience like this at this location (in the past month or so). We will not be back and I seriously hope for the sake of your restaurant and wait staff that you hire some people and ditch your current service model (or lack of service I should say).
Fun place to go a spend a few hours at. Bowling is enjoyable, although I much prefer the arcade. Games do feel a bit over priced for the most part. But the unlimited late night gaming is pretty darn sweet. The PAC man air hockey was a riot! Had a blast playing that. The food is good as well. Nothing life changing but if you are already there to play games it's not a bad place to eat also. But it wouldn't draw me in specifically for that reason. I enjoy coming here, and will continue to do so.
It's always a fun time! But the bar is very mediocre. Why is it so hard to get tonic water for a gin and tonic? Soda water doesn't cut it.
Great place to take the whole family! They have arcade games for all ages, and are fairly priced. The food is sooooo good! I've liked everything I've ever ordered there. Kids meals are $6 and come with a $5 game card, so they basically eat for $1!! And, of course, there's always bowling which is family fun as well! And kids bowl free during the summer!
Always friendly staff and my daughter loves going here to bowl and play arcade games. Can get extremely busy for bowling but they can put you on a list and will text you when your lane is ready, so you don’t have to stay around and wait if you don’t want to.
Just left the place as soon as I saw more than 90% ppl no masks or improperly wearing. No one controls that requirement.
Booked an event here and everyone had such a good time. The two servers we had were great keeping up with a very "thirsty" group. Food was pretty good and bowling was a lot of fun. All adults, but we all had a good time at a "kids" place.
This place used to be a family favorite but I have to say the last few times we have gone our group was pretty disappointed. First off we have always loved the summer kids bowl free program, but this year is a joke! For working families during the week that don't get home until evening can't take their kids to enjoy the kids bowl free program due to the 3-6 pm restriction. The program doesn't allow weekends only those 3 hours during the week. The way the whole ordering your food is an absolute joke not only for the customer but for the servers too. Big Al's needs to get it together otherwise they will be losing customers. Hoping things will turn around as this place has always been a favorite.
Not at all accommodating of young kids. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was one of the loudest environments I've ever been in. The music was cranked up to 12. There were 15 screens zoomed in on Taylor Swift's gyrating hips. We asked to have the bumpers put up because even with the bowling ramp thing for young kids they were still getting gutter balls. They didn't put up the bumpers. We asked again and nothing happened. The kids continued to get boring gutter balls as the music blasted and hips gyrated. We asked a third time and someone finally came to lift up the bumpers, but he couldn't get them up and he just left. No one took any initiative to help us or make things right, like offering us another lane (several were open). We left early and asked for our money back.
Girls Night!!! We bowled, drank, ate some delicious dirty fries and so much more food, and then played arcade games. We had a blast!!!
Very clean indoor atmosphere. Food is amazing fresh hot and extra large portions. A great family environment for all ages and amazing. By
Big Al's as a bowling alley is decent and has a fair amount of arcade games for kids and kids at heart. The food is mediocre at best though. The hamburgers are overcooked and the fries are -ok-. It's worth checking out at least once especially if you're bored with a couple of kids.
I take my kids to the arcade on their birthdays, they do a great job of making it a special day with a birthday button, 100 tokens and free ice cream if you go on the kid's actual birthday. They were also really nice to quickly refund me when one my little one drained an entire $7 game card by just swiping over and over at a random machine.
Had a birthday party there today. The Birthday boy is an MVP member and that has a lot of pull with Big Al's. Service was great, Melissa was great. food was Awesome and even had the manager come over to see how we were doing a few times. Great place.
I really wanted to like this place. My kids love bowling and admittedly I grew up in rural America and went with my dad to the smoky bowling alleys of yesterday. Thankfully this was literally a breath of fresh air relative to that. But that’s where the advantages stop. This place was loud. Even my 13 yo and 16 yo were complaining about the noise. We waited to get a lane due to reduced usage of lanes. The four of us were given a lane next to a very large group who was sitting in our area and had to ask them to give us a spot to sit in our own lane. After requesting to be moved due to not having any space they did move us back to the other side of the lanes where it was less crowded. However, while it was less crowded and this area was very nice the issue came with the resetting of the pins. As we bowled the pins were consistently not reset properly and pins will be knocked down and our scores were off. While this advantaged me greatly over my children that is unfortunately not the spirit of going out bowling with your kids that you want to take home with you. When this occurred on the first lane the management was very happy to move us to another lane which now puts us on the third lane of our bowling experience to bowl a total of two games. We still encountered the same pin reset issues on that lane as well. I discussed this with management on my way out and was offered an acknowledgment of The issues we encountered. While I would normally not have issue with these inconveniences, they come with a hefty price tag. To bowl 2 games with four of us cost us nearly $100. That is for shoes and bowling only without food or drinks. Hopefully this was an anomalous experience, but I would be hard pressed to go back any time soon.
Payed for 2 rounds of bowling but couldn't do second game and couldn't get a refund because kids were starting to get tired and have a melt down after having to wait 2hrs to play. They wouldn't do anything to accommodate having to leave. So out 32 bucks. Won't be going here again or any other location.
Overpriced, crowded and incredibly loud. Food was overly expensive and not great quality. There are plenty of better ways to spend that much money on just an okay afternoon with your family. Very dissatisfied.
Great family night out for dinner and a few arcade games. We love the sports bar, we got to watch the NHL and NBA playoffs at the same time! It doesn’t get much better! Plus the food was great as always. So glad this place is so close to home.
We were having a very laid back evening bowling at Big Als, calmly enjoying the game. We had a situation where one of the bartenders by the name Jen, accused one individual from our group of doing something the individual did not do. When we confronted her, calmly and respectfully, Jen immediately rose her voice, in a defensive manner that she was in fact correct in her assumptions. Jen continued, not yelling, but screaming cussing the whole group out and demanding we leave the premises, cutting everyone off mid sentence. As we walked away from this unprofessional employee Jen: she kept screaming, her face red, eyes bugged out, and waving her arms at us continuing to use profanity in her language. It would be great help for the establishment of Big Als to please address this employee so that she understands the importance of professional behavior working as staff at Big Als.
Love this place for my kids, very accommodating. The manager named Krystal is super friendly
My son and i go to. Enjoy the snacks and bowling as well. Great job on the staff friendly and personable.
Good customer service and well kept up and clean. Some of the birthday parties with kids were out of control when we were last there, with no staff keeping any order. We enjoy going there.
The nachos are a must have. Plenty of lanes, didn't check out the arcade this time. Kids had fun bowling.
Big Al’s at one time had the best nachos and you would think they would have left well enough alone especially when you have the best. But noooo and am guessing it was some corporate people that decided to down grade the nacho experience but leave the price hi. Such a wrong move by the powers to be.
Great facility and great games! We had a lot of fun with the Pac man air hockey table - what a treat! No one can go wrong with $5 margaritas. Will say -- disappointing that the games were shut down early without any warning over intercoms or from the staff when we came in. We lost out on tickets because of that. Heads up: Machines shut off 15 min prior to close.
Was busy, it was friday though.... Food was amazing! We had a fiesta buffet of sorts and everything was 5 star restaurant quality. Had a great time there last night.
Went there last night for the big UFC fight! It was packed in the bar/dining area. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed with a smile, I do have to say I'm very picky and judgmental when I go somewhere and have a server, as I work in the customer service field. Our waitress CORRINA was AMAZING!! She was on top of it all night and kept smiling, she's very attentive. We will definitely be going back to see her. The main bartender was the best also, just watching him in action was like watching a master at work. CORRINA girl you need a raise!!
I liked it better than chuck-e-cheese. I don’t like rats or cheese. Its still really good though.
No service you order online then pick it up a lot of people standing around flirting with each other while you have to do everything yourself will not go back there
Went VIP bowling and loved the space we got. The arcade is amazing as well but didn't partake during this trip. Food is a 10/10 when it comes to deliciousness. The reason for a 4 star was too many people near other people's vehicles.
Cool place but spendy as hell. 9 bucks for a cold beer wow. We spent and easy 150 cash while there not including debit card. Price of games is crazy. But kids had fun.
Big Al's has a sizable selection of entertainment and food and beverages. The layout, due to his spacious size, reminds me of the atmosphere of some of the smaller casinos in Reno or Las Vegas (obviously not the gambling part, however). The bowling alleys are lined all the way along the wall, the video games have a fairly large central area location and the restaurant and full bar are away from all the "noise", but close enough that you can still have the ambiance if you want to sit along the edges. They can also cater fairly large groups as well, and have divided areas that are cozy and quiet or, depending on the size of the party, they can move the wall dividers and make a very large closed section where you could have a business meeting with very little disruption. The prices are quite high on a mixed drink, and the food is pricey, but the flavour is there. Parking however is the four star mark. On a busy time, while there will be ample room inside, there is a very small and overcrowded parking lot. The last time we were here, vehicles parked in between the handicapped spots and out into the lot where the lane was. Don't bring a vehicle here you don't want dented during busy times. We ended up parking out by "wild tiger" on the far corner of the lot.
VERY unfair how inconsistent the rules are for "paying" to play pool or pingpong at the bar area. We saw a group of kids (some clearly under 18) walked in and played pingpong for over an hour and just left. For us, we ordered food ($80 in business) and played while waiting for our food and a bit after. We got charged two hours of playtime. If you're gonna enforce a rule, do it consistently on everyone!
We went bowling friday night and was pretty full of people. Nice place, good food.
Great customer service, good food, spacious, and tons of things to do. If you can't find fun at Big Al's, your eyes are closed!
Great place to go hang out on the weekend. A friend and I came To big Al's this past weekend to have something to do on a boring Saturday night. Ended up playing a few rounds of bowling and then spent about an hour in the arcade. This isn't exactly someplace I'd go if I didn't have a decent amount of spending money, because it is on the higher end of the budget. One game of bowling with two people will cost about 22$ and drinks and food on top of that. But I think we spent less than $150 for the whole night which included a couple drinks a piece and the aforementioned games and arcade. They have different price options for bowling though so you really don't have to spend a whole lot especially if you aren't having a few drinks. Overall a fun time and definitely a good way to pass a few hours on a boring night.
Had a great time here with my family. We were new customers and staff took the time to explain to answer all of our questions and assist us even when we were playing game of blowing staff were attentive to our needs without being asked!! They grabbed our blowing ball that got stuck in the empty lane next to us without us asking.
Great Food! Clean Establishment! Need to educate food servers on everything.. they try to answer questions..but would be better if they just had someone who knew to answer questions..
If I could give this place restaurant 0 stars I would. I had to send back my food twice because I received it and it was cold. When they dropped it off, the food was still cold. Service could improve by 100.
Planned an office party here for about 40 people and it was great. Really good food, great activities, and great service! Thank you Big Al's. We have also come here as a family quite often and have always had a great experience. There is always plenty to do here. Staff are always amazing too!
The games are fun, and the people are nice, but the food has gone severely down hill since I’ve been here last. The nachos they’re so famous for are not the same as they used to be at all. Not very many toppings, a lot of dry chips, and they pour what they call “baja seasoning” which seems like just taco seasoning on top. It’s weird and not good at all, especially for $26. The spinach artichoke dip was extremely disappointing, we got bottoms of the bag crumbs with a few whole pieces as chips and the dish with the dip was so shallow and there’s way less than there used to be. It was like a small plate basically, and that was I think $12 which I could get a huge entree for less than that somewhere else. The steak bites were somewhat redeeming, tender and good flavor, although really dry. It seems like they just cut costs and it’s all really cheap, including the margarita which had really gross cheap tequila in it and that was $11. I expected more quality food and drinks for the $70 we spent.
Took the family here. It was so busy we couldn't get a lane to bowl, but the kids had fun in the arcade. The atmosphere was fun
Disappointing. I have come here in the past and it was a good place to have a meal while kids played the games. The kids still enjoyed the games. However, if you are looking to have snacks or a meal-beware. There are no longer servers. You order through a QR code and it is lacking. It asks for a tip amount before you pay. There is no service. A kid delivers your food and if you want napkins or ketchup he or she will point you to the corner of the bldg. to the condiment station. No one will clear your table. No one will ask if you need water. I’m not sure where the tip is going. Maybe to the giant TV.
Prices are high -- a large combination pizza was $32, and the toppings were skimpy. People at the check-in desk are very pleasant, but don't always give the correct information. Servers have such a large area to cover that there is quite a wait to place an order or pay your bill. There aren't many options for bowling in Vancouver, so I will return.
Been going there with the grandkids for years and never been disappointed. Great service, nice servers and the food is always top notch!
Love going here. Grate for familys or a fun night out at the sport bar. There is a wall full of 100" TV, the food is tasty and prices are pretty good too. Lots of games and bowling available to make for a grate night out for anyone.
Our place to play pool on Sundays! Our server is Liza and she is wonderful. She takes excellent care of us. The food is fun and it's really good. Try the dirty fries, they are so good and messy.
Horrible service actually no service . The doors opened 20 minutes late.. No table service have order at the bar or at the tables no servers!! Took my $80 then stated that could not have a pitcher of beer and a mimosa carafe. Server was dishonest!! Over priced over rated . Never will go back!!
I loved the food great place to hang out
Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Great place to go bowling.
Fun as usual. The coin operated games are closed, but still turned on like they can be played. Food was good. Pizza reminded me of 1990's school pizza
This could have been the worst experience ive had. One of the most unorganized places ive been to. We went to the restaurant portion because it was an hour and a half wait for the bowling alley (no big deal). When we got to the restaurant there was nobody there to greet us. No direction of where to find a table. Once we finally got seated after searching for the host, you were supposed to order online but the website to order was down and said order unavailable. So there was one long line for people to order there food. One person taking everybody's orders. We ordered 3 things, 2 appetizers, a burger. When the food came out, one of our appetizers was missed and everythi g else wsd finished by the time it came out after asking 3 different people. Burger was burnt. They didnt give us any napkins with our food and minimal silverware. One of the workers even told me "it's anarchy in here". Definitely will not be coming back. Horrible experience and waste of time. It took so long to get our food we didnt even go bowling.
Took the kids here for a birthday, and I regret every moment of it! We had a 2 hr wait for our lane. And some of the arcade games were not working but still charged us money. It was so loud, that you had to scream at the top of your lungs just to talk to the person one foot away. There was horrible vulgar music videos playing on the screens in front of you, and our lane was malfunctioning on and off throughout our time there. But at the end of the day my kids had fun so that's why I gave it 2 stars instead of just one.
Bowling was a pleasant experience, fair on the prices. The only problem I had was with an employee at the food stand, gave me an attitude when I ordered a hot dog and wasn't welcomed appropriately like a customer should be. A good variety of games at the arcade. Overall a decent place to eat and play at. 3/5 stars.
We always have a great time playing games & bowling, however the food is over priced, not very appealing or appetizing. We paid $25 for a plate of nachos that weren't good at all. They were cold when we got them, chips weren't fresh, and we went fairly early in the day. No servers to assist you with ordering, drink refills, or anything extra you may need. The tables weren't clean, nor was the self serve area where you get your condiments for your food. We had to ask someone to clean our table. My kid got a cheeseburger, which was decent, thankfully. We will never eat there again. For 65$ I would expect something halfway editable and tasty.
Not a bad place to play games and bowl if their arcade games were up and running instead of under maintainance or out of order, food is sub par and when trying to go with a family be prepared to wait in line they do not come to your table to take your order plus extremely understaffed, wings are extremely under sauced recommend extra sauce on side and their quesodilla is gross and soggy in some spots and dry in others the best thing on their menu is the nachos but not the chicken it's dry
I like this spot. Its fairly well maintained, has a small arcade, has bowling, and a fairly large restaurant area with huge tvs showing sports.
This is the “cheese” steak. It is not as pictured or advertised. It’s missing the beer cheese fondue and has at most one slice of mozzarella on it.
Don't order the steak " The DUKE" burnt it so bad knife couldn't cut the outside. They took one look at it and made it right.
This place is a lot of fun ! And the service is top notch! And the food is awesome trust me get the nachos ! They're off da hook????????????????????????????????????????
Wish they were open later on Sunday's but was super fun! Thank you!
Great environment for kids and adults. Fun arcade + good food/drinks + Bowling
Was a really good place to go to as friends and famuly. It is fun and has options for all ages. Sometimes the machines get stuck, but I'm pretty sure that's everywhere.
I'm from Ohio my trip was great had a blast
Krystal saved the day! Another place canceled my daughters 12th bday party. Big Al's was booked but Krystal found a way to save it from ruin! Will recommend them and Krystal!!
My Husband & I came here to meet up with friends from his work. We had dinner & then a group of them bowled... This is a large bowling alley with a lot of activities for ALL.
Very busy on the weekends, lots of broken arcade games
Awesome place for all types. Very family friendly but also have a nice bar for more adult environment. Michael and Corinna went above and beyond for my family and I for my sons birthday last friday. Michael was super friendly greeting us at the front and Corrina made sure that my son was taken care of for gaming cards and an awesome dessert. They did a great day making my boy feel special on his birthday! Thank you guys so much we will be back!
Came here on a Sunday afternoon for some bowling and arcade fun. I will say, the covid protocol is great. However, the music in the bowling lanes is obnoxiously loud. We all had to yell at each other to be heard, my kids were a bit overwhelmed as we tried to yell at them through masks to explain who was next. We paid $60 for 1 game, and left with headaches and grumpy kids. ????
There when they opened in the morning ordered food and two games of bowling after the first game food still wasn’t there. Asked about it and they gave our food to someone else. Reordered and again wasn’t getting food until it got cold and I went to service window to get help with my cold food in window, don’t order food
Great food, great fun. Super tasty beer selection as well. Our waitress did leave a little to be desired as far as her attentiveness, but she seemed to be having to work too big of an area. She was very friendly and approachable though. Several screens showing different football games, some fun memorabilia, great arcade section.
Y'all need to get it together. Sunday's during football season? Train your employees properly and be on top of your game. Nobody knows anything about seating, long wait just to have someone take our order, the ENTIRE TIME a table next to us was NEVER cleaned. They told us about 30min for a table, it has now been close to 2hrs. We finally want into another restaurant. They called us to tell us the table was ready but the call got disconnected. They never called back. Ridiculous.
It's a big beautiful place full of games board and electronic. Pool tables bowling. Good food and spirits. It one one a kind@!!!!!
Such a fun place , the kids were pleasantly surprised by the prize options . The food was good the games were fun so I'd say it WIN for all !
Everything was very good.. but, there's always a but???? the mixed drinks were awful not that they didn't use enough booze but the bartender was not on par.. we will stick to beer next time... Also quite a few games in the arcade needed some work...
First time going last week, had a awesome time. The young lady at the front advised me that the wait was about 40mim but by the time we'd be up for a lane it would be past 9pm, which is cosmic bowling with unlimited games. Pay once for the lane and you play told they close at 11pm. My only criticism would be the food. We ordered fish and chips and a personal pizza. The fish was so deep friend it felt like It was leather and extremely dry. The fries weren't bad, but the pizza was also overcooked and dry. Server was very nice and helpful. They were busy, so I understand the delayed service. I'd recommend this place for bowling but expect to wait both for a lane and for service. Not waiting due to a lack of professionalism, but rather just very busy.
Fun place for the family! Surprised they offered the vegan Beyond burger, and it was delish! Theire fries are perfect. Kids meals are $7 and they get a $5 play card for arcades. Can't beat that. Kayla was our server in the VIP area and she was awesome!! She was extremely busy and was on top of it all. We will definitely be back.
To be honest, I had a rough time with some of the employees at the desk when I first got here but the girl (zandria? Short hair and cool earrings?) in the ticket room made my trip a lot better. She was alone and had the whole room packed with people and still managed to get to everyone in a quick manner while also being super friendly and nice. She deserves 5 stars.
Really kewl place. Loads of fun and lots to do
The ordering and service are below standard. You must order and pay from your table and the food/drinks are delivered. But that's where the service ends. Need silverware, napkins, water or just plates removed?? Good luck, no service. Out of 8 we had 3 mess ups on the orders. No personals service at all. I was also told they will not be returning to table service post covid. We will not be returning.
Our waitress, Cheyenne was awesome! She treated our grandson, who was celebrating his birthday a couple days late, so well with extra play cards! She even took a picture for us! The fries and tater tots were way above usual. Yum! Our Hawaiian pizza was delicious. 3 of us shared a rootbeer float! My husband didn't think his calzone was up to par, no sauce or cheese inside and too many slices of sweet peppers and the sweet didn't go, green pepper would be better. Nice casual atmosphere! Would have been nice to have 1 screen with track and field instead of 2 of the giant ones on the baseball. I'd definitely go again.
Very fun and i would difenently go back. Only downside is it's pretty darn expensive
This place is the biggest scam in history over 17 bucks for a shot over 20 bucks for 3 chicken strips my God investigate this place
A Great family environment, the video games are often under maintenance, but the bowling is 2nd to no one! The staff is very helpful, and you will not regret hosting your kids birthday party here. Cheers!!
Great and friendly staff . Everyone was super helpful anytime a question came up. Food was amazing . Got the spagettie plate for lunch .and some bloody merrys. My daughter had a blast bowling and had a blast playing in the arcade. Next time I'll load my card w more money cause doing it twice was easy but time pressing w a 5 year old. Won her a unicorn and other stuff in the claw machines. All and all was an amazing day ???? ❤ ???? the virtual reality game!!!! Was amazing with the girls . I tried it being an adult for the 1st time gosh scared me lol but was super cute
Overall very good. Ordered something referred to as a cornbread appetizer. It turned out to be cornbread on top and on the sides, but soup - like in the middle. Not sure what that was about, and the server's explanation that it was the butter they used didn't instill confidence. Dirty fries were good, margaritas were sweet and a bit above average.
As long as Jen is working there, I will make sure to avoid this place as well as tell everyone I know to avoid going here, didn’t know a human can possibly be so rude & disrespectful as Jen is.
We held our sons 15th birthday party their after calling and getting information about cosmic bowling. Arrived after noon. Got bowling shoes for a group of 4 and bowl for a hour. My wife ordered 2 large pizzas @ 12:20,and purchased drinks also. At 1pm my wife left on quick trip, and on her way out she decided that since our pizza hadn't arrived, she would purchase another hour for bowling. Later on we found out she only could get another 30 minutes, because a large group was coming in at 3pm.The counter person was to go tell us all this info. No one told us a thing. At 1:15, I went to find out about our pizzas. As I arrived at the counter their was a group of people getting ice cream. As I waited in line to get helped,I saw many pizzas sitting under warmer and along counter outside kitchen door. I saw 2 pizzas sitting under the warmer that looked a lot like ours. I saw people take pizzas off the counter and take them out. When i finally got waited on at 1:23.I asked if our pizzas were ready, yes they are still under the warmer. The guy at counter said they were really busy because of the game. They bought our pizzas out to the lanes. Pizza was ok, but barely warm. MY wife arrived around 1:45, she then informed us she could only purchase 30 minutes only. We saw employees cleaning up seating areas for bowling. At that time the lanes timed out. We got boxes for our pizza. When we left just after 2pm, all areas were cleaned and we were the last persons to leave. The boys all went to the game room.As me and my wife passed the counter area,my wife wanted to talk to the manager, he told her it looks like we need some more training this evening, not even a apology. As the boys played, we went to the big screen bar area to get some food and drinks. We sat down at a clean table and the server took our order. We ordered the nachos. As we waited for our food, another party sat across from us. A lady from their group came over and asked if she take some napkins to wipe down their booth. The nachos were average, they needed more toppings, and they melted the cheese on the nachos in the microwave. Adding cheese sauce would make a better product. Saw many dirty tables, and the floor could've used some cleaning. As the game ended, we proceeded to leave. We saw one employee leaning on a railing with her phone, another two leaning and chatting at the kitchen food counter area. IF YOU HAVE TIME TO LEAN YOU HAVE TIME TO CLEAN. I've been in the restaurant business for over 40 years. Both owning and managing. The only reason you are getting 2 stars is the boys loved bowling and playing the games. Here's some free advise for the owner. The Customer is always right, even if there wrong. Customers don't won't to hear excuses, just apologize and make them happy. Move your ice cream case to the end going north and south, instead of East and West. It would relieve a lot of congestion around the POS area. And not just just your employees need more training, your manager needs some also.
Went to big Al's to have a good time, our experience was amazing. The GM DAVID made sure that we were enjoying ourselves.
I have to be up front when I say that I did not play any games at Big Al's, I only took a kid there to have some fun and sat around having a Coke while I waited for it to be over. But wow did this place look amazing. They have so many things to do there. I was also quite impressed that while I was waiting they had Old Time Rock playing along with the old videos that went along with them!!! I sat there and watched Boston singng "Don't Look back"... Oh my Gosh it was so much fun! My kiddo had a great time and I'll tell you, this looks like the kind of place to go for a night of family fun. It also looked very clean and well-maintained and the attendants there were almost overly nice. Check it out! I would highly recommend this place. If you found my review interesting and liked it give it a like thanks
Last night my friend went to the bar to order drinks for us and he was yelled at by the bartender, Jen. She was literally raising her voice telling him he had to bring everyone up to the bar to be ID'd even though the other bartender with long brown/blonde hair had no problem having the server bring the drinks and be ID'd at the table. It wasn't even that busy I don't understand why she was yelling, at no point was he rude to her. She also started yelling about how there were multiple complaints to the liquor board and that they're in trouble because of it so this is why she's being so strict. First of all no one asked and secondly it's probably not a good idea to tell random customers that. When the other bartender tried helping my friend, Jen yelled at her too. Poor girl has to work with that. Gave two instead of 1 stars because the other bartender was reasonable and took the time to try to better our experience. We went back to our lane and I could hear Jen yelling at other people about the same thing. She's clearly on some power trip. People are dealing with a lot right now, they shouldn't also have to deal with your out of control employee yelling at them over nothing.
Pretty good place. Not a bad bar as well. The prices for food and drinks arent great though.
Arcade is a little over priced but otherwise it's all great fun for the whole family. Good pizza, fun bowling, good drinks. I wish (and maybe there is) you could recover points cards so i didn't have to carry it around all the time for the 2 or 3 times a year we visit.
Not the same place post COVID. No servers. Need something special on your order? To bad, noone to ask. Need to know what items come with a kids menu. To bad, better stand in line to ask - like you are at some hippie Portland commune style bistro with a jug of warm water, a tray of Pizza Hut red cups, dingy half washed silver wear tray and a sign that read "please bus your own table". Sorry. Just expecting a bit more from Mr. Big Al. If I'm spending $16 on a burger and drinking a bunch of $6 tap beers while I watch a game I'd like to have human serve me. Otherwise I might was well go to McDonald's and sit on my cel phone with a brown bag of O.E.
This place and the staff are amazing! We drove an hour one way to have our sons 3rd birthday party here, no reservations or anything and they were MORE than accommodating! Crazy thing happened yesterday too, the power went out inside big Al's lol! Those poor servers...the one we had wish I got his name he was awesome! Totally deserves a raise...even tho it was a crazy birthday party with the power going out and our guests couldn't see their food, couldn't order more food, we will still have his party here again because of the staff!
I was at the arcade with my little kiddos when this lady working behind the bar started screaming and using cuss words at a group of people. I hated that my kids were hearing her crazy rage and profanity, and it made us feel very unsafe. Got my family the heck outta there. never coming back here if the employees act this way
Worst bowling experience ever. Open lanes next to us for over 45 minutes and our party of 7. 4 kids 3 adults aren’t allowed a second lane. The kids get bored so we tried ordering food but the lane didn’t work and the food didn’t arrive. The manager said it got lost and they couldn’t get us another lane 8 person per lane policy. No refund for the broken lane no apologies just rude. We tried to make the best of it and finally left. Worst bowling experience ever
Big Al's.....Big NOPE! If you are looking for bowling, kids arcade, drink some beer and watch sports, this might be the place for you. If you want to eat and look to receive timely service this is not for you. I ordered thai chicken lettuce wraps. To my dismay I received half a head of iceberg lettuce and a bowl of chicken that reminded me of a pricier frozen meal. I was very disappointed that it was up to me to assemble my meal that cost me $15!!! I recommend sticking to the easy to fry pub fair if you so choose to eat anything from here. If I want to watch a game and enjoy food and drinks I will stick to breweries and a great many other places with TVs.
Way to expensive. For 3 teen boys to play 2 gamesc and dinner it cost 110.00 dollars. I was going to put 5 dollars cards for them to do the arcade but they wanted 2.50 to active the card.
Went here for discount Sunday morning bowling. The price was right but everything else was not. The lanes were dry and the approaches were sticky. The lane broke down several times with our personal balls stuck being chewed. It took forever to bowl so we didn’t finish our last game. They would not refund the last game. They did give us several free game passes. I will not be back to this ally.
Great place for birthdays and date night. Kids and Adults will love it. Also has a full bar.
Waited 2 hours on a pizza to find out there was no more pizza couldn't bowl even though there was 6 lanes open and to top it off lost anoth 150.00 cause no one could refund the money I put on the cards for that place never going back and wouldn't suggest it at all for anyone total waste of our time and money
This is a great place for family, friends, kids, and all!! So much to do! Went with my wife and some friends and there kids. Bowled for a few games which was a lot of fun! The. We ended up playing the arcade area a bit. They have so many games to choose from!! It’s definitely a fun environment. And I live arcades that let you win tickets so you can turn them in for prizes. They have a whole shop with all sorts of prizes from small little trinkets and candies to the enormous stuffed animals and toys. Everyone and a great time!
Fun place for the family or anything. Very clean and definitely an upgrade from the local bowling alley. Prices can add up quick. But they do offer lots of discounts. $2 Tuesday's, half price game nughts, $2 weekend early bird, Family fun pack. These are just a few. Lots of great drinks, food and games. Everyone had a great time.
Arcade was so much fun until that funny looking manager took all the fun away.
House balls are not great here. Very expensive place and very noisy.
I really like this place but the prices for games is super high if you want to take kids they wont get much for tickets earned. Ive always had great service though and even get recognized from a couple servers. The very last time I went was on a Saturday night. They turned on the lights 30 min early because it was just my boyfriend and I plus one other couple at another lane (all of us still bowling). We were starving and they ROYALY messed up our order and at one point the manager was dancing up on some tables while the employees snapchatted him. Super cool. Im guessing thats why they shut down early? The only reason I dont rate it less is because most of the time I had a good experience. I havent been back since that last time and honestly probably wont.
Happy Hour was great food choices were good steak bites delicious. Fudge brownie delightful big enough to share. Fun watching the bowling, kids loved the arcade!
Took the family out on Saturday, there was a fight on paper view ($10 cover) but that’s not the problem. Didn’t get Service so my wife started ordering from the bar, they didn’t take any of the plates or drinks off the table. Two kids and two adults can add up. Basically cleaned the table and had to get our drinks and food from the bar sitting in the stands upstairs. Going out is to not do that and enjoy the time. I don’t work for big al’s.
The arcade games are expensive and short. We got a $60 card for games and it didn’t even last a full hour. They don’t give a lot of tickets per game. All the prizes to purchase with tickets are expensive too. The service wasn’t great. The girl at the cafe forgot our two pop and one icee order, left to get receipt tape without telling anyone prior to fulfilling our drink order, and refused to give change for a $10 asking me to go wait in a different line. The card kiosk doesn’t give change but also doesn’t have an option to use exact denomination.
Terrible, I understand covid precautions but they're is zero interaction with a person. You order food from your phone, pay through your phone, then someone drops food and takes off. Good luck asking questions about what you order cause you can't.
I will never go to big al's again after tonight. Me and three friends went to play bowling at a fairly early time of around 7:30, we however were unable to play until nearly 9:40, as such you'd expect us to be thankful to play and started to really have some good fun, but what came at 10 o'clock was all unreasonable, unprofessional, and outright insulting. The second the clock hit 10 the alley lights lit up overhead, but nothing else changed, the lane lights were active and scoreboards as well. As such as anyone, and everyone else did, we kept bowling, and hit some pins, in response an older employee walks up, without a mask, and yells harshly something close to a word in any language and walks away, we assumed he said to stop and decide since we only played 5/10 rounds we would ask for a refund, as on top of the 2 hour wait we delt with, we were tired and upset. One of us goes to the counter and politely asked about the game being cut off halfway through, and the active manager steps in, they talk but the manager was being highly unprofessional and yelled at my friend, who asked nicely mind you. That's not the end, nor the worst. Having not been given an answer outside of "ask David" with no other information they continue to ask about at least a refund, when the same older employee walks up and starts yelling again, this time more aggressive than before and louder, making everything worse. We were not given a refund, we were not treated nicely, we were not shown any form of human decency, and as such we will never support big al's again. From disrespectful employees to unreasonable circumstances, to say tonight was pathetic is an understatement.
My company had a get together in one of their party rooms, and it was a huge success. These somewhat private rooms have their own bowling lanes away from the public lanes, which gives an intimate area for private party's and get togethers. We we're served dinner, which was buffet style, and I haved to say was absolutely and honestly delicious. After eating we walked right out to our own bowling lanes, and proceeded to have a ball. The staff at Big Al's is first rate, and our every need was met quickly. We ended up playing games in their expansive arcade room to end the night. Loads of fun for the group. If your planning a birthday party or group get together, I would recommend checking with them, I'm assure you it's worth the time.
HAD an absolute blast Food was great service was amazing should have got the birthday package Will definitely be back for my birthday
We have been coming in once a week since the Kid's Bowl Free program started for the summer, today though, we ran into someone who was a little more serious about their bowling game than my 7 and 6 year old and was not so nice to us about the way my children were bowling. I brought it to the attention of the front desk and asked if we could move. The ladies up front went out of their way to make sure I got a good spot where my children could have fun. They even transferred our game to the new lane so we didn't loose any of our game that we had played. The manager came by later and made sure we were okay and that the lane was working well for us. The service is always great. Thank you for giving a great place to have some summer fun with our kids!
Great customer service from the reward center clerk to the servers to the general manager. Fun games that are a bit expensive. Keep your money local and do your business here. Other arcades are foreign owned.
Food was ok. Payment method was horrible. There are no servers. You have to scan a bar code to order and pay. They want you to pay for a tip before you even get your food. If I come here again, I won't tip at all since they don't have any servers. When we asked for ketchup we were pointed to a condiment bar in a far off corner in the building. No customer service whatsoever.
Food was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Cheesesteak was huge! Large selection of drinks and big kids portions. Kids get a 5 card for games with meal purchase. Bowling of course, including a twilight side for glow in the dark playing. Some very cool games including a roller coaster game and a flying one that has moving seats. Private rooms for parties for birthdays, sports drafts, etc. Place is very loud as is typical for sports bar themed places so be prepared for that.
I am only reviewing the sports bar towards the south wing. I enjoyed the atmosphere and it served well for a place to meet with friends to watch MNF with some friends. I would give it 5 stars, but I would like to have a better beer selection. However, this is not a custom tap house. The waitstaff was friendly and punctual. LOVE the big screen! I will return and perhaps play pool or bowl a game.
Big Al's is by far the best place around Clark County to host a party for kids or adults if you're looking for bowling, arcade and good food. I don't know what other's have eaten and given bad reviews on in the past because the food there is really, really good. The service is also really, really good. You just have to understand that some of the staff is fairly young, but shouldn't be a problem unless you have a personal problem with the younger gen in general. We rented a party room. It was outstanding. You can close the doors and watch sports on a 60" + screen in private or you can open the doors and enjoy somewhat private bowling lanes adjacent to the party rooms without having to navigate through the crowd. The only caveat here is that there is a minimum party guest attendance of 12. Which means that you pay for 12 no matter how many show up and they don't seem to be flexible here which I feel like is a bit one sided and unfair but again, with that exception, this is a great experience.
Always have a great time there. This waa the 3rd year in a row we celebrate New Year eve with family
Had a lot of fun. Staff was great. Though I wish they had more security, too many old single old men coming here alone trying to talk to little kids. Watch your kids!!
Always good fun! We bowled and ate good food and played arcades!!!
I ordered the Grand Slam platter and the gave me mini corn dogs bites instead of the Texas Potato Skin’s and they were cold and doughy. We ask for a refund and he gave us the refund back without the taxes. He just gave me back 35.99. I do not recommend this place for eating ????????
Not as clean as it should be. Went right at opening food on bowling tables and all over the floor. If the normal cleaning wasn't done, was the covid cleaning and sanitizing done?? Most Employees had masks on.. one gently man kept taking off his mask while on the phone.. ladies restroom most stalls out of toilet paper.
The place is great. The service could have been better. We were told to show up 90 minutes early, we did. Waited for a table to be open with 2 young children in tow. The 2 year old was hungry and cranky and when 90 minutes passed we were told a table probably wouldn't open up. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RESERVE A TABLE EVERYDAY. ESPECIALLY ON BUSY DAYS!!! Or provide a babysitting service because for a "family friendly" place, it would not be possible to show up 3 hours early and entertain young children through an entire football game after.
Busy plus covid restrictions. Be prepared to wait for food and bowling alleys. The arcade was great though and kept kids plenty busy
Writing this review while my wife is getting sick in the bathroom. I got sick earlier... Daughter said her food was cold... (was sick later on) Customer Service is HORRIBLE!!!! Wait time for the waitress to find you in a timely fashion, good luck with that! You could literally run to Gustovs order a beer and drink it, then come back faster than if you were to order and wait for your appetizers and beer... Thanks for letting us pay for the diarrhea you gave my family. Sad part, this used to be a quality place to take your family on a Friday night... Update: When I asked for the General Managers Card- Assistant Manager didn't want to pass along the card, asked a ton of why questions and came out super defensive when I said we got sick and were leaving. Sad that he offered no condolences for our experience or even cared we spent our evening in the bathroom instead of the venue having fun... POOR TASTE of management...
I understand the labor shortage and increase in food costs, but Big Al’s has gone well beyond adjusting for inflation and is conducting highway robbery in their menu prices compared to restaurants in the surrounding area. I’ve been going to this location for years fully knowing the service was subpar, but paired with the gouging food prices, I won’t be back until they adjust their menu. $19 for wings, $9 for a pint of beer, and servers who miss half the order I had to place on my phone. At this point, it is not worth it. Off to Final Draft Sports Bar just down the road.
Jen is unacceptably rude and disrespectful, literally was screaming at us on top of her lungs to get the (BLEEP) out of the place when we tried calmly to speak to her, I understand someone can be having a bad day but to take it out on the costumers, it is just not right.
Food was ok. Did 2 games of bowling with 5 people and had to change lanes 5 times. Worst lanes I have experienced. Customer service was great, they were checking on us and great about changing us lanes when something broke or was wrong.
Went there on a date with my wife and it was extremely fun! The arcade was great - we spent about $60 total on food and games and were there all afternoon. We had a great time and immediately wanted to go back. The food was delicious (we got the vegan burgers). Considering becoming members!
I came in on a Tuesday and Katie at the main bar took care of me. She was on top of refilling my drink asking me if I needed anything. Katie engaged in conversation that was spirited I mean thats what happens when one is a duck and one is a beaver. I would strongly suggest anyone trying to watch some sports and have a drink get up to big Al's off 164th in Vancouver
They insisted on being tipped upfront, servers droped food off quickly without even speaking and quickly turn away and rush off. There was a different server each time and one didn't even acknowledge us as we spoke to them to ask for simple things like napkins or silverware. Hamburgers were completely carcoaled from over cooking, had to walk all the way to kitchen to ask for new ones which took an hour to get. Servers were rude and contemptuous.
Fun, excellent place to go for bowling, arcade games and billiards. Very family friendly.
The lady's and I showed up to bowl and do happy hr. 2 drinks and appitizers was$60.00 + bowling and shoe fees . I was willing to be a good sport until the bowling balls . I'm 5 feet tall and have the hands of a normal woman , it was a nightmare to find a bowling ball the correct size. We paid for 3 games but left after 2 games
Nice place for the kids to play and bowl but very spendy and not very welcome feeling with the employees just like here it is enjoy it. I'd rather take him to chuck E cheese and I hate that place.
