This Bowling Alley is included in the category of Bowling alley.
They needed to fix the speakers last time i went but i had a good time.
Big place. Modern. Clean.
Clean facilities and friendly staff. Family friendly.
$27 for a bucket of beer. Ouuuuch. Otherwise it was a lot of fun!
Great time and the pizza was wonderful
Was 5 stars, drove extra 10 minutes to go here until 1/20 price increase. now more expensive than newer/nicer competitors. will not return until this changes
Horrible! It says online 9pm to 11pm all you can bowl and we get there lady tells me oh sorry "I wish someone would have changed that" in her sarcastic voice...
Good place to bowl and the counter staff was great
Bowling Is A Lot Of Fun
Me and my girlfriend have been coming here for the past few weeks and it’s been super fun. For 2 games each and renting shoes it costs $28. So $5/game and $4/person for shoes. It’s not that bad comparing to other bowling alleys. There typically isn’t any wait time and the service has always been good for us. We will continue to come here.
I played in league tonight. It was a fun time. Like any other bowling alley. Beer was to get. They have a pizza place connected so I thought they would have real nachos. But nope just grocery store chips with nacho sauce on the side. But pizza really was good! Except the crust was hard to bite.
While some parts of the experience are less than satisfactory (the food/drinks mainly) the establishment as a whole actually has a very small town and friendly environment. The staff there are considerate and decent people, the pro shop is serviced by a kind and experienced bowler, not to mention that the alley is home to the great PBA Pro Sean Rash. Occasionally it can get a full, as they have leagues almost every night starting at 6 pm, but if you know the schedules and time your visits accordingly, you will have no trouble getting a lane or two to bowl on. Those who write negative reviews on the place have obviously only tried it once or twice, and have not yet experienced how friendly and fun the alley can be. All in all, 4 out of 5. Not the best, but far from what others think.
The facility looks and feels rundown. The food was not good and overpriced for the level of service you get. The soda vending machines are advertised as $2 per soda but if you use a credit card they charge 2.10 for a 16 oz bottle of soda. The lanes kept breaking and the staff was very unpleasant. We spent more than $225 on 3 hours of bowling, food and soda for 8 people. The attitude of the staff was “your bowling at the cheapest rate around, deal with it. $225 is A LOT OF MONEY for 3 hours of bowling. I do not recommend this place and I would avoid them at all costs.
Nothing wrong with the place but I feel it use to be a better deal. Three people playing 2 games and shoes cost us $39. Also, today they told us they have a new rule that they can't put up the bumpers unless you have someone 8 or younger in the group. Why? Lots of kids over 8 still suck at bowling.
I personally am a much bigger fan of those classic, fluorescent lit bowling alleys despite an evolving development of futuristic “clubs”. Parkside nails it as being a classic alley with good bowling equipment, a pro shop, and friendly staff. Gary messed something up with my card, but fixed it and was very apologetic. He even tossed in a free game which was not necessary! Overall a very solid experience!
Well maintained bowling alley. Games not so much.
Love this bowling alley! Everyone is very friendly and attentive. Nice lanes too!
Best bowling center in Chicagoland. The owners actually care about their patrons.
Its our weekend play ground
Front desk could be a little friendlier the ladies at tiffany' s were nice.
Kinda bad food imo but I mean you can bowl and play pool at least
Average pricing. Clean establishment. Good pizza.
Alleys are great. Well lit and immaculate facility. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
It is a every good place to go to. If you are looking for a dry backend that is the place to go to
I love being able to play pool and it it's a veteran friendly establishment!
Good place for free car meet ups cool staff highly recommend for a friend if wants to bowl and have some fun :)
Good pricing on bowling. Food looked decent.
Cheapest place to bowl
Great bowling alley for family and friends. Just call ahead of time due to the many bowling leagues taking place on the weekend.
Great price for open bowling on Sunday
I bowled like garbage but that's not your fault.
Friendly staff just, good prices on bowling/food/drinks just wish they would play better music to set a better vibe.
Nice bowling alley for family and a date night just call when going into weekends for leagues are there. Open bowling afterwards.
Pretty fun but the animations for when you get consecutive strikes are pretty outdated
Love bowling here
Had a good time bowling
Great times.
My family waited 3 and a half hours for 2 small pizzas
Visit my son bowling in a league. Left early a but chilly in there.
Bring your game to pro level lanes!
PROS: They have a lot of lanes. The lanes were clean and functioning perfectly. Nice seating area. CONS: No lane service you have to go to the bar for every drink. If you buy a pitcher of beer they will only give you two glasses and every person must show ID every time you get a pitcher of beer. This could be resolved by having them come to the lane.
Nice place to have fun at night time with friends
A great place for bowling with friends and pizza.
I like going here. Workers are very friendly. Always greeted. Nice place if you have children.
Cool and fun place its a little dated but overall its thumbs up
Price cannot be beat but the ambience can be a lot better. Other areas could use some renovation too.
34 open lanes at least and the women tells us they dont have any open lanes. Apparently there was going to be a corporate party coming in, but they never said when. We were only playing 2 games with one toddler, so we'd only need a lane for half hour at most. Tells us we can wait and see if something opens up, but sorry with a sadden 3 year old not an option for us. Ridiculous! We will take our business ANYWHERE else.
Great folks, they need your support, very safe atmosphere, cone on down, the Bowling is great!!
Halloween
I can’t say enough good things about this place. I had my kid’s birthday here and they handled 9 eight year olds without a problem. As a matter of fact, I am pretty sure there were two other kid birthday parties going at the same time and …
As someone who has worked at a bowling alley and bowled for years, this bowling alley is awful. I received one of the worst customer service experiences I ever had here. I’ve been waiting for the manager “Stephanie” to call me, but after leaving several messages, and even writing my number down at the front counter she has yet to call me. I’m not the type of person to take time out of my day to leave a bad review; however, I’m really upset with how the employees treat the people that come here. I plan to never bowl here again.
It is a good place to get fun but it is kind of old so it seems that some maintenance is necessary
It a nice old school bowling alley with updated technology.
Reasonable prices. Complimentary bowling balls available. Lanes are in good condition. Accurate automatic scoring. Bumpers and lightweight balls available for kids.
I go here a lot and the Staff are very nice. Also I do summer league here too.
Good lanes and clean place but if you want to bowl for fun, good luck getting a lane. We get turned down nearly every time we visit. As my wife and I are too busy during the daytime in the week. If you don't book a birthday party or you are part of a league they don't care about your business.
It's a good place for family fun...
Been here several times for casual bowling, league bowling, and league practice games. Generous pricing for league ($20 for the week which gets you 3 league games and 6 practice games to use any time during the week - comes out to barely over two dollars a game) and in addition you get a $125 gift card for this league - they implied this isn't always the case so this may just be an extra for this league or due to the more casual nature of this league. No real complaints. Some lane variance in oil condition, but I mean get real if you're going to consumer grade alleys expecting pro tier oil. You will not find better elsewhere without some official branding next to the name. The overall aesthetic is dated and I don't love the way individual pods are layered. They're too close together. Booth style pods allow for teams to sit more comfortably without feeling pressed up to the other team, and god forbid anyone stands with two full teams in the pods. Crowded city. This isn't a complaint and more just desire for improvement some day (which may never come -- oh well). Food is actually quite good but it's greasy alley food. Don't expect much, but it is generously priced. Staff as a whole are totally fine too, nice even. All in all, compared to other overpriced alleys and overly modern/messy lanes, or bare-bones/barren lanes, this is a happy medium for that 80's/90's style alley where you can almost smell the cigarette smoke and hear the roar of the league rolling through games.
Everything went well with bowling, lanes seemed in good condition. The employees were nice enough to let us finish our last few frames after closing, and were all very nice and helpful. The pizza was the highlight though. I would go there just for their pizza, as I saw a few people doing late on a Sunday night.
Shawna the bartender is amazing! Thank you.
Nice place for the family
I Love Bowling there, I Love the Chicken and Fries but I Believe they change their PIZZA. As much as I Love PIZZA I couldn't the Cheese Taste was Different. Other then that the Staff was nice and I Would Recommend and go back.
Love going here with the family when we're in town. Always seems family friendly
4.50 for one game and shoes after 9. Good food and good prices.
Dry lanes. Don't go there if you're expecting optimal bowling conditions. I'm not a pro by any means, but they could care less if the lanes are dry or not.
Great place to bowl.
Have to wear mask until you drink. Bowling was great, computers are a little outdated but worked.
Lots of lanes, modern, good prices!
After 9pm Mon-Wed they have $1.50 bowling and shoe rental until 11pm. Always a great place to go for some inexpensive fun!
It's okay .. but don't take our kids
Parkside is a bowling establishment and as such you will find competitive leagues, pro shop ran by people who know what works, and a very good family environment.
One of my favorite houses to bowl at. All the staff are friendly, and the lanes are well kept. There’s definitely a reason that the PBA loves this bowling center so much!
Had a really fun time! Great pizza!
Good prices but rude staff, was told we couldnt get gutters because of age, ridiculous.
Almost bowled a 300 best customer service
My friends and I have been there twice before on had a pleasant bowling experience, the place is typically very empty after 10pm.
Great place for bowling with the family, and a great opportunity for seniors to enjoy a league and have fun.
Lanes were clean and kept up nice. Alley restrooms well lets just say very dated and worn. Sinks didn't make you feel clean after using. Nice to see bowling alleys still around but needs some updating.
It's a bowling alley... Lanes were in working order and tables were in good condition. Good beer on tap. Nice place.
Been going since a child love it so much!! One of the last big bowling alleys ???? left in the area.
I really like the steps this place is taking during covid
I have been bowling there for 4 years I love it especially on Karaoke night....
Staff are (mostly) friendly, and the place usually isn't packed unless you come during tournaments. It's clean and very fun! Prices are okay, too!
What an awesome place to go bowling at!! I absolutely loved it????????????
This place serves beer and good appetizers. Has a pool table too.
A really nice bowling alley! Even though we went on a league night, we were able to get a lane after a short wait. Pizza at Tiffany's was really good!
Fast. Cheap. Homey!
We love Parkside! I have been coming here my whole life. The staff is always helpful, and the pizza is Good!!
Had a blast decent prices on sat but took forever to pay add games n bartenders chose who can get buckets by them selfs or ask for 2 people
cool chill spot to bowl and have some pizza
I love this place, familiar environment and affordable prices! You can get good food, drinks and have a great time with friends and family. It is one of the best one!! :) :) :)
Nice place. Didn't bowl our last game and they even gave us a coupon type thing to get another free game later!
Great place to bowl, great employees, good bar and good food
Popular place to spend times with friends. Decent food and good parking. I've never had any issues here.
Could use some updating but otherwise a great place for bowling
They had no caulk or the right size ball.
Ok don't always have the drinks you want.
Great! Excellent atmosphere nice place to stop in and chill.
Very nice facility with 54 lanes. Good parking. Food is tasty and reasonably priced. Blue Moon on tap == Good
Very reasonable price on bowling games!
We just left Parkside. We had a group of 20. The "Security" guard has a napoleon complex. We paid for 3 games but left after 2 games due to the security guards behavior. I will never EVER go back to Parkside.
The place itself is a nice and old fashioned. But the staff is rude and make you feel like they hate their job.
Not a bad bowling alley. Seating is terrible though. Needs more chairs.
Good bowling great service
Excellent spot. I habent been here since 20 years ago and there still as friendly as i remebered them... now mu kids know where i hanged out as a kid. Lol. . Thanks guys happy new year.... FROM MIAMI!!
family fun that's still affordable.
Good time good place to bring the kids
We had a very good experience oil pattern was a little bit different this time we were here.
It's bowling! The price per game is less expensive than other alleys. Drinks are reasonably price. The food is pricey.
Love this place! Classic bowling ally, incredible staff and amazing fun!
I'm a common customer, and have been for many years! I absolutely love the staff and employees! I want to give special appreciation to Dan, Amanda, and Marcia. Very great establishment, with a great atmosphere!
Got in on a Saturday. They were busy but still were very professional. One thing I will say is that not many people were wearing masks but we were ok with it.
My daughter took me bowling for my birthday...my granddaughters who are 9&10 went as well...we paid almost $45.00 for the 4 of us to play...we were having a nice time until our lane kept messing up...we called for service several times and the guy at the counter answered but no one came to help...so after 10 minutes I went up to the counter to ask for help for the second time...the guy who was supposed to help us slowly sauntered over to our lane to fix the problem with the lane. We had several situations with the lane and partway through the next game the lane just shut down. I became disgusted at that point and asked a worker if we could get a partial refund because of all the problems...we were given tickets for a future visit for 8 free games...I appreciate the gesture and effort to right the wrong but the workers there seemed to care less about the customer...very disappointing watching these guys lazily walking around while we sat and waited for help time and time again...maybe they bring in enough money to the point of customer service not being their number one priority...so sad...Parkside was the " Happening, bustling place" back in the day... who knows now???
Been coming here pretty often recently and I must say this is one of the better bowling/ pool places I’ve been too. Prices are fair considering how much time you have
Had a fantastic time on a Saturday afternoon
Standard bowling alley. Nothing of note to really mention. It's an older place, little run down, but decent if you're looking for bowling in the area.
The best quality bowling alley I've been to in the area
Went for the New Years eve party. Bowl ed had pizza and won Bulls tickets.
Very clean.frendly.open bowling.discount days.family frenly snacks.
I have been to this bowling alley a couple of times. The people are nice but they never have any lanes for regular customers on Saturday's. There is a bowling league that take up all the lanes until 9pm. This is the biggest day of the week for family's. I work Monday Thur Friday and I try to spend quality time with my family on the weekends. I personally will never return to this place. I will just relocated my family to Brunswick Zone on the weekends.
Bowled here since I was a little kid, could use some updating but I love this place. Lots of lanes.
Love this place ,not only is their pizza good but their pool table fee is way cheaper and better then any other place
Typical bowling center, lanes are ok, service is ok, food is decent and edible, drinks are cold.
Great place to bowl, once you can organize efforts getting past the pinko Marxists trying to shutdown America; one entrepreneurial investment at a time. Since they were closed, this was a good '20' to stakeout for buzzards on nearby fence post.
Traditional bowling alley also has pool tables and a little arcade for the kids.
We are in a winter league and enjoy everyone
Only been there a couple of times... I will go back. It's a good bowling alley, staff at the counter and the Bar we plesent and nice to talk to, Everything was fairly clean , and in good condition. Bar prices are reasonable / average. Haven't tried the restaurant, but it did smell and look appetizing. Lanes are wood and in fair / good condition. Haven't figured out there oil pattern completely, I'll have to update my review when I do. Will return/recommend
Good price, great time at this place. Also has pool tables.
Fun, drama free bowling. Old school feel. Good bar and little diner inside. Arcade and pool tables as well. Lots of lanes.
A great time bowling
So many lanes and empty if you go in the morning hours
So.much.fun! An excellent way to spend time with family and friends of all ages.
First time back here in a long time. Still a top notch bowling alley that offers all you'd expect a bowling alley to offer.
Had a great time! Good food, godd atmsoshpere. Shauna and the whole stafg were vey nice and acoomadating. Made for a great night out! Would reccommend.
This large bowling alley is great for big groups and is reasonably priced. During the week we can always get lanes. Food is available for purchase (pizza, nachos, fries, etc). Alcoholic beverages are also available for purchase. Little kid bowling balls are available at the desk.
Cleanest bowling alley I've ever seen !
Always fun and great price 1.50 after 9 on Monday great pizza
Mandy was the most ignorant bartender I’ve ever dealt with
Great place, good lanes and well managed and friendly staff. Great food at Tiffany's. Sara will make your food quickly, depending on orders in front of yours, but with love. They got good pizza, and yes there is a bar. Highly recommended..
Great Karoke great bowling alley
Fun place on Saturday night.
It was fun and clean
Dominic was outstanding...did a great job organizing the outing we did today. Hope you realize you have a good employee! Thumbs up!
Very nice staff always freindly, yhe gaming machines are very tight
Love going here. Had my 30th bday party at Parkside Lanes. I like their pizza too! Great place to bowl and have a fun time.
Very nice place for the bucks you spend
The nicest BOWLING CENTER In the state well run & promotes a WONDERFUL experience !!!
Great staff! Awesome rates! This a local business I hope is still here 20 years from now
Awesome lanes, great prices on sunday.
Nice community. League worthy lanes. Much better to bowl here vs some chain bowling just for fun place. You can recognize the difference in lane quality. Prices are very reasonable. Could use some upgrades for sure as it’s aged a bit.
Great pro shop..extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff for first time bowlers. Great products and custom services.
Horrible horrible service. Bought an extra couple games for my lane and he put it on a different group I was with lane. I asked if he could switch it back to the lane I asked him and he told me to “just bowl” when my name wasn’t even listed on the other groups game. I asked multiple times and he said bowl or get out. Completely disrespectful I came here multiple times a month and will never be returning.
Great place for a child birthday
Good deals during the week and free parking.
Great fun place to bowl with friends.
Nice, fun place
Amy is the best bar waitress and makes the experience great
Very courteous staff and excellent customer service.
Great atmosphere, poor lane maintenance. Always something different every week
Still a great hang out and great bowling alley.
just got back with my kids this place was pretty cool and the price was really good try the pizza was also tasty I recommend it for a good time you could can come to this place
Very good time
Called ahead, and was told they would be open until 5 PM Christmas Eve, showed up at 2:15 with family from out of town, and was told they're closing at 2:30. The man at the counter was unbelievably rude and temperamental. You've lost my business, thanks for nothing.
The bolling was great I just wish the place look better it was clean but they should get some light or something
Always a fun time!
Went there 2 weeks ago on a Friday. $1.50 a game, and hardly any lanes available. All kinds of kids and families. Figured it would be our Friday night family activity. Went there last night (Friday) and there were PLENTY of lanes. I rolled up to the counter and said 6 games and a pair of shoes. She says 29 dollars!?!?!? When I mentioned the previous Friday she said well not anymore. Because leagues have started. So you have guaranteed money coming in from the leagues, AND you almost quadrupled the price. No wonder there were so many empty lanes. It is very sad that those of us from aurora. Who want to keep our money in our town have to put up with this bait and switch mentality. I will GLADY give my money to funway. Which has better and newer facilities.
Very disrespectful. My nephew didn't know his shoe size and the guy responded with " Jesus Christ". Last weekend we met up with some friends here and we were able to pay separately for each group. This guy told us if we want to bowl one person had to pay. We asked him for bumpers for the kids and a ramp. When we were ready to bowl we had to ask a couple more times to get them. When one of the kids ball stopped in the gutter no one responded to the service button. We had to go to the counter to get help. I don't know what this guys problem was. They just opened and we had multiple lanes open around us.
good atmosphere, good prices. good food
Love this place. Its like a second home. The staff is amazing
A little expensive as far as standard bowling alleys go (ie not big Brunswicks), still, it's clean, the TVs aren't huge or obtrusive like they're tending to get elsewhere, and the food is decent. Overall your standard bowling experience, nothing to write home about but no complaints either.
