Wow. Love Love Love the set up. Had to drive around the parking lot just to take it all in. Then you enter the main space and your knees go weak with the sweet cars .. And all the signs. The staff was awesome and the food is good. Wished I lived in LBK to see a concert here and to just be able to take it all in. If you are heading to LBK this is a Must stop. I will so be back.

Wow, not what I was expecting at all!! I was expecting an old metal building and a gravel parking lot. While part of the parking is on gravel, there is a large asphalt area with lined spaces. The building is huge, well lit and clean!! They have a tone of old oil/gas company signs both inside and outside. Waitress was friendly, food was great!! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich - very tender and flavorful. Definately will be returning here!!!

Excellent!!! What a very nice nostalgic atmosphere!! This is apparently a concert venue, an actual garage that repairs actual vehicles, and most popular is the restaurant!! Our waitress was amazing ???? she checked on us ,made us feel at home, and the Chicken Fried Steak was like I had growing up - THE REAL THING!!!! Thank you for this wonderful place where home is still home!!!!! You might can find quality food in another place, but you will not find anything more authentic to the South Plains of West Texas!!!

I go mainly for the live music during happy hour but have the Garage Buger, Pulled Pork Sandwich and Grilled Chicken Salad. Diane, our server,tried hard to get my sons drink correct,but DP tasted awful..carbonation off or something..the ice taste wierd,tried lemonade,tasted like chemicals,stuck with water! Would suggest broccoli steamed with plain water and butter at the end of cook time...instead of the SALTY mixture they used.A drizzle of olive oil on salmon would make it perfect.Overall was ok.

There weren't any good specials on drinks. Wednesday night none were offered whatsoever. The service was good. The portions were a little bit sad. I had visited with family and friends twice before and we were all disappointed. The atmosphere is pretty cool and laid back. They have had live music every visit I've made. So there's that if you like. Overall it was convenient at the time and I don't believe I will be returning any time soon. The eight different people I've gone with over time don't plan on returning whatsoever.

Walked in the restaurant and was told we'd have a 15 minute wait, and they would text us when they were ready to seat us. Didn't want to wait outside, so we moseyed on over to the shuffle board next to the bar area. We played for roughly 40 minutes before asking the waitress what was taking so long cause people were being seated that walked in after us. She proclaimed they had forgotten about us, and gave us a table in the bar area full of extremely noisy people. 10 minutes later, somebody showed up to ask us what we wanted to drink. They returned another 10 minutes later with our tea and sodas. Asked us what we wanted to eat, took our orders, and left. One. Whole. Hour. Went by. Our food arrives just as we're talking about how we should have eaten somewhere else. Plates are served, and the food was wrong on 2 Plates out of 4. We told the waitress who served us, and she pretended she didn't hear a word we said. The 2 people who ordered Steak to be cooked different ways, received them way over or under what they described. The person across from me had the salmon, and their meal was quite divine. I ordered the sausage sandwich, and it was beyond cold. We "ate" our meals, got 2 refills on our drinks in the hour and a half that we sat there waiting for our cups to be filled, and decided after a while that none of our food was edible except for the Salmon. We got up from our table after about 20 minutes of waiting for our waitress to show up with our ticket, and decided to look for her. We found her chatting with another employee just disregarding the fact she was working and on the clock whilst avoiding her duties. We asked her for the check, gave her the money and made for the exit without a "thanks" or "come back and see us again" of any kind. We spent $76 for someone to eat salmon, and the rest of us get inedible food. Worst customer service, terrible environment, (they won't control the crowd from getting beyond rowdy even if the customer is shouting), horrible "food". I'm going to forget this place exists it is such a waste of time and money. Before anyone asks, I didn't complain about my food being cold because I didn't want to wait another hour for someone to put sausage, BBQ, and onions on a bun! I rate this place a huge fat ZERO. I could have eaten at McDonald's and left WAY more satisfied.

Hidden behind a forest of gasoline signs sits Cook's Garage. My first impression was the sheer size of this monstrous facility. Cook's Garage occupies the corner portion of the building. The cavernous restaurant with at least 3 different rooms (possibly more) is covered with vintage signs, including one from a long-closed motel from my hometown. The menu is pretty much what you'd expect for this setting: Burgers, Steaks, Chicken and Fish. I had a salad, and a classic cheeseburger with crinkle-cut fries. The burger was grilled to order and absolutely delicious. My only complaint would be the poor, lonely, single ring of onion residing above the lettuce and pickles. A slice of onion would have upped the burger to 5 stars. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Overall impression? I'll definitely be back.

Really cool place if they could only get their act together. Our party of 12 got served at different times, while some never got served at all. Not only did our orders take forever but 75% of them were wrong, or over cooked. It's a shame the restaurants service was so bad because it's a super cool place to take pictures, and enjoy something unique in Lubbock, Tx.

Went to go watch Koe Wetzel perform last night and the line to get in took FOREVER. We probably waited a little over 2 hours to just get in and missed a large portion of the concert. I was very upset because I was so excited for this concert. If you want to watch a concert at this place you should probably get there very very early.

Great fun atmosphere. Food is inedible. Recebtly visited. Heard wonderful things. Live music every day of the week. Large spacious patios. The patios do have a limited bar menu. Ordered a burger and the chicken fried steak. We were not asked how to have the burger cooked- they just brouvht it well done, very very dry. Even the bread. Flavorless. French fries were unsalted but edible. The chicken fried steak came drowning in a gravy sauce that had no flavor and the texture of baby vomit. The side salad looked old and the lettice browning at the edges, soggy. Ranch tasted old. They dont have local draft beers, only basic commercial choices like Miller and DosEquis. Dont even order the water or anything with ice in it- it tastes awful!! Come for the music, get some beer and chips. Skip the food.

What a great place! The vintage signs and Americana collections are amazing. This place has the coolest setting. If you are in to cool cars and hot rods, Cook's Garage is a must see. They do a couple great car shows and lots of good live music. They also are host to a custom shop called Rev Limit Customs.

I Would never go back to eat there ever!!! We went there for a company Christmas party and I looked up and saw this sign that is a “black face” logo which was used to degrade and belittle African Americans. The name in the logos teeth was “Coon Chicken Inn” coon anther derogatory term directed towards African Americans when the waitress heard me voice my displeasure for the sign she stated that it was “not what I thought it was” and this is was “history” so needless to say that infuriated me so I will never go back to cooks garage as long is that sign is hanging. The fact that they felt comfortable to hang that sign knowing that it could be perceived as racially offensive shows me that either they condone racially motivated satire or they have a poor leadership making decisions.

I absolutely love it here. My boyfriend and I are both mechanics and we love to come for the auto shows and big events. The historic signs are what make this place so unique and appealing. I've only visited the restaurant once and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The music was great and so was the atmosphere. I'm just now trying this place and, let me tell you, when I first drove into the parking lot I was like "where am I" parked and walked into the facility and was in "Wow" why had I not been here yet. I walked over to the bar sat down and at first I thought the waiter didn't wanna help me. But I understand because I alone didn't know what I wanted to drink. Service was horrible. Visited while we were in Plainview. Rode up there with a friend of mine. Place was not too busy and took an hour to get our food. Spoke with manager and his response was we are working on it. No apologies or nothing. Had to ask for refills and took another 15 minutes to close out your ticket. Burger was not worth $9. My friend has been there. Sure made him look bad. Won't be going back. Also with all that space. Would be a nice gesture to have motorcycle parking in the shade. Need improvement on taking care of your customers.

Great venue space, disappointed in the meats on my dinner the beef brisket was like a shoe leather and the other meat I had was dry. Service was excellent. Sound system for such a large place was kind of lacking. If you're in the front area you can hear and understand. Further back you could not tell what anyone was saying.

I liked the atmosphere and the local music I heard. Interesting and unique setting. My waitress was very polite, hostess and two other waitresses had significantly worse attitudes however and that was disappointing.

My family and I went to eat lunch last weekend and everything we had was great! I had chicken fried chicken, my Husband and oldest son had chicken fried steak, my Mom and Dad had salmon and my two younger kids had corn dogs. Our waitress was very nice and patient. Everything was cooked well and tasty. We even had cherry and peach cobbler that was so so good. The place is super fun to be in and we can’t wait to go back. Thanks cooks’s garage for a great experience!
