Super delicious and fresh ????
Tasty sushi, always impresses! So happy this is close to where we live now, will be ordering often. Large portion sizes!
Amazing food! Great menu!
Friendly and you get lots for what you pay for
Dinner
Friendly people.Great food .Great prices.
Really enjoyed the food here. Friendly server
This is my store guys this is the best sushi store i ever seen it is tye best.
Service is great. Food prep quickly. Food in good price. Most importantly food tastes awesome. Would go back again and recommend others to dine in.
Eat here first time back in August 2015. Was so good I had to come back and they were just as phenomenal the second time around. Love this new found gem!
Very good sushi. A great alternative to downtown places
Have only been once so far but will definitely be back more often. Easier to get to than other favourite sushi places. Seems very affordable and the staff are friendly. Will be back again soon!
Great sushi, reasonable price… but most importantly the best service. Super kid friendly and always have been to our messy children.
amazing service highly recommend omg
Best sushi I'm the city... Monkey Braims are the best
I Felt like a Alien there. Like out of place when every cat from here to detroit should be able to walk in.. wait time were bad. My son who like's sushi well heck I like it too on a blue moon.
I've had better Japanese food in Victoria. The prawn tempura had little flavour. I've had better at the food fair in a mall. The steak sauce is a different version than what is served in most Japanese restaurants in town. I was warned that instead of being salty, it was sweet. Well, one taste and I spit it out. There is an extra charge for the steak sauce. The pork Katsu with Katsu sauce was okay and so was the salad. The mauve rice tastes like steamed rice so that was fine. There was fried veggies under the pork. In my opinion, they weren't necessary. My final bill came to $29 and change. This might be a reasonable price. My husband as I usually order several appetizers and pork Katsu at the usual Japanese restaurant we go to. The bill comes to the same amount but has fed two people. Having said all that, the restaurant was full at 7 in the evening. It might be because it is one of two Japanese restaurants in this area of town or I'm way off base in my food opinions. The service was quick and excellent. The ambience is lovely. Plenty of free parking too.
Awesome food nice staff
Loved it here. Great staff that are super friendly I came here to try my first sushi and they were super nice and offered recommendations and brought out multiple plates so I could try everything. Best dining experience of my whole life. Thanks greatly!
This used to be my favourite sushi place. We were so excited they opened back up. I wasn’t at all happy with today’s dinner. Extremely slow service, we had small children so yes it felt even slower, but seriously were ignored to take drinks, then took forever to order food, then forever to pay the bill, until we literally got up, got dressed and half the people left the restaurant. In addition, it was absolutely FREEZING inside. And. Their large beer is more expensive than ordering two small ones. You pay less and get more beer... so weird. I won’t be back for a while until they improve.
Love it Good quality, good service YUM
Sashimi is great. Deep fried California roll isn't very good. Service sucks.. servers go really slowly and spend time chatting to each other instead of looking after tables. They don't ask how it is either.
Very tasty sushi and surprisingly inexpensive. I will be a regular here :)
Really good place to quickly eat and leave.
I love going here. Excellent service, huge menus, and never a wait. If you're into exotic types of Sushi they have many different types. I'll definite eat here again and again!
We moved out of Esquimalt but make the trip to town from the Westshore just to get their sushi. Our fav. Love all that sushi but must haves for us are the sashimi and monkey brain.
Busy place tonight! Service was still great, as usual. Food was delicious and such excellent value.
Great lunch combos.
Best sushi in Victoria.
The food was fairly good and the ambiance is nice. The service was not great, had to ask for water, ask for a tea refill and when they brought us the wrong dish but we assumed they has misunderstood and started eating anyways they seemed annoyed with us. I guess the plan was to take it to another table after it had been on our table for 10 minutes? I think with more attention to their customer service this could be a good sushi option. Unfortunately we live close to another sushi restaurant in Esquimalt and will probably keep going there.
By far the worst service I have ever received in any restaurant anywhere in the world. Before I finally stopped going, there was one particular server who was constantly rude to me, banging down plates and glasses on my table, turning her back on me without answering a question I had just asked, and so on. The last straw was when I asked for a glass of water (by which I obviously meant COLD water) and she poured me a glass with her index finger INSIDE. When I pointed this out to her, she walked away and came back with a glass of HOT water. Not cold, not warm, but HOT. Never again!
Expensive! Don't know why sushi is so overpriced in Victoria. Pleasant staff however
Excellent Sushi. One star removed is prices are high, but the quality is better than most
Love this place! Great food and price!
Fresh sushi!
Best spot ever!! Great ambiance, incredible staff, delicious menu and super private! I go here all the time. AND $6 pints of Sapporo! Don't debate, just go and see for yourself :)
nice
A little bit more on the expensive side, but the portion sizes are larger. My sushi was fresh, made quickly and the staff were friendly. Will be back.
If you want the best and freshest sushi on Vancouver Island this is a must go place. Not only is the food fabulous the staff is amazing and so accommodating. Wonderful wonderful. Our favorite little sushi gem!!
Excellent California rolls, generous with soy sauce packets
Ordered skip and the driver got lost at closing time. Owners where so kind and delivered my food to me. Best customer service by far. :)
Fantastic food, ate like a king. Would absolutely recommend the tempura!
Everything we ordered looked and tasted amazing, service was very fast and polite.
Oh how I wanted to love this - it just wasn’t my favourite tataki ever. Will come back and try something else though!!
Great lunch special. I highly recommend you check out this place.
Good ambient. Could have been a great place for a date. I am writing this review after one order, so I hope my observations about the food is only a one off. First, some of the sushi rice are not cooked - they are still hard! Second, the nigiri fell apart when I picked them up - suggesting they were not packed with the right pressure. Third, the sashimi was not cold enough. I preferred a hint of ice crystals in my raw fish. I hope these aspects will improve when I visit next.
Finally got to try this restaurant and I was not disappointed. Good range of choices, quality, tasty dishes. Nice to have this option for a restaurant outing or take-out in the Vic West neighborhood.
Always great food. Always great service. Having my birthday dinner there.
Innovative sushi!
(Translated) It is a Japanese house where very good Korean people do. (Original) 아주 좋은 한국인이하시는 일식집입니다
Nice neighborhood sushi place. Consistent, good service. A fave for me.
Awesome sushi. Fast and friendley service!!!!
Great sushi, consistent quality, nice atmosphere
Best source for Japanese food in Victoria. Good prices, great tastes, and the only place for monkey brains, although not actually brains
Nice atmosphere. Cozy, with wood accents. Service was courteous and friendly. Had both sushi and vegetarian dishes. Fish was very fresh and tasty. The asparagus rolls were just right. The green tea had a nutty flavour, much like the green tea you get in Japan, so says my son, who's been there. All of our meal was excellent! Would highly recommend
Generic chain sushi restauraunt
Good quality food
Our favorite sushi place in town.
The food is good, portions arent exactly large from a suishi restaurant standpoint. We've come here for years however the last time I went there were two elastics in my salad in the bento box, one of which I didnt see and swallowed. I told the staff and they basically said sorry but didnt offer to comp the meal, just served me the cheque. I was really disappointed at the lack of customer service in handling a potentially dangerous situation.
Okay...I love the sushi at this place, but the service is terrible! The sushi is very good, and dishes are often presented with a unique twist. The servers will come and take your order, then pretty much never return. Need a water refill- nope. Need a tea refill- nope Need something else.....nope. I have been 5 times, and would love this place to succeed. The need someone to take over the floor and ensure the tables are being served. The servers will stand by the kitchen and are apparently oblivious to the people sitting in the restaurant..I hope they get this sorted.
Disappointed... I brought my daughter after school and the tempura in the rolls were cold, including the shrimp in the dynamite rolls. Service was super fast, but I’d rather wait and have the tempura be fresh. We won’t be back
Ordered twice on a recent visit to the city and food was delicious. Exactly what I was looking for.
pretty good sushi, good price too.
ordered twice in 2 days while staying here in victoria, great menu with lots of good options. yakitori was not as expected, however the rest was extremely good. i had the veggie udon and it was great
Good honest sushi, great service and conviniently situated
Amazing food and service. We were so pleased to have found this restaurant and will definitely be back. Fresh and prompt with good menu and nice ambience.
Decent Sushi, the best that Vic West has (might be the only one though).
I would give zero stars if I could. Just okay food and terrible service. I caught my server lying to me about me food and they didn't even try to make it right.
Best.Sushi.Ever. Presentation is top notch, delicious food, decent portions. Could use more local beer.
Excellent food, clean restaurant, fast service, great prices. What more could you want?
The sushi was by far the best I've had. So creative and delicious! But the service was horrible. It was me and another table, it took 15 mins to get a menu. Another 10 for some water. And they never came around to the table to check on us, refill. Our waters, or take our dishes when they were empty. I had to pull her aside and ask. And when I asked it took forever. Other than that. Delightful sushi
Good place for quick lunch sushi is ok nothing to write home about
Excellent food at reasonable prices. Great lunch deals as well.
Excellent sushi, had spicy chirashi noodle. Great presentation.
Current favorite sushi place! Friendly staff, although there isn't really much seating for large groups.
Nice place, very friendly staff, great ambience, great food!
Favorite sushi place in Victoria!
Very nice food and service
Excellent sushi!
Old fish, never came to ask how was your food ?????
It's ok. Just steer clear of the chicken Donburi. Pretty flavourless.
Rolls were falling apart although not normally
Really amazing sushi would definitely come back. Pretty reasonable prices and great service would highly recommend grand canyon roll to anyone who likes fish.
The food was alright but not quite I expected in a sushi restaurant. Teriyaki bowls come on cast iron plates that are hot to touch. I give it a good impression but the taste was lacking. The meat was cooked then Teriyaki sauce was added. You can tell. The service was decent asking about how well the meal is and they are quite polite. Overall not a great experience but then again it's a different experience then normal Victoria sushi restaurants.
My favorite sushi place in town
I thought I hated sushi before eating here. Great food, friendly staff and decent prices.
Victoria sushi isn't bad, the food is totally enjoyable with plenty of good appetizers, luxury large composite rolls. Do note that they are on the pricy side with the food they provide.
Decent food and amount and price. Good location with lots of parking. Service was great.
Great sashimi, very fresh, consistently wild salmon, good quality and very reasonable lunch bento for what you get in them. I eat here often
Tried the Spicy Salmon Lunch combo today. I can't say I was impressed. The included tempura was undercooked. I could tasted the uncooked batter in the broccoli and the yam was nearly raw. The avocados in my california roll were starting to brown, making me question the freshness. As for the spicy salmon roll, well it was spicy. It was perhaps the spiciest salmon roll I've ever had, and that's about all, there was no flavour to the sauce, just heat. The miso soup seems a touch on the bland side as well and lacks the usual seaweed and green onion I'm used to seeing. All in all, based on this experience, I wouldn't return. I won't go so far as to say it's bad...but there was nothing that left me saying I want more from here. There are lots of great sushi places around, try another.
Excellent menu selection and few items you can't get anywhere else like sushi pizza on tempura rice.
Affordable, fresh and tasty. Perfect for lunch!
Best sushi in Victoria. Very fresh and delicious. I highly recommend it.
Expensive. Not sure why Victoria sushi is so overpriced. This location is no exception
Food is well prepared and reasonably priced. The otherwise friendly service, however, has recently slowed down as take out and phone orders, and cleaning tables are taking priority over sitting customers who are waiting to give their orders! Pity!
Best quality sushi in Victoria. I eat sushi often, and have eaten at many different japanese restaurants in victoria. This is by far the highest quality as the chefs really seem to take pride in there food. One star removed is the for the high prices. Otherwise, excellent.
Delicious food, quick service, and friendly staff. One of the best sushi places in town.
Delicious sushi, never disappointed when we order from there!
Soooooo good at a great price highly recommend
Best place for Sushi so far that I've been to in a long time. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is super friendly and quick.
Best fresh sushi in Victoria ..staff are friendly ,attentive and service is 5stars would recommend if you want sushi to go there
Went there for almost a week straight. Great service, decent pricing and good variety.
The first few times I got takeout it was great. But I'd say the quality is lacking
Most inventive sushi I've seen . Great presentation and also great tasting as well. Try the monkey brain!
This is the closest to Vancouver sushi that I’ve had here in Victoria. Really pleased with the portion sizes and quality. And I was able to order from skip...love it.
By far the best sushi in Victoria, and some of the best sushi I've had in my whole life!!! I have to say, I'm a huge Sushi Snob, and since moving to Victoria I've had a really difficult time finding somewhere good. This is the first place that I've been to that I've been blown away! Everything was made perfectly, had a great presentation and tasted amazing!
Very nice atmosphere excellent food
Great place. I phoned in my order and came in to pick up. Following excellent Covid protocols made me happy, and my food was amazing!
Consistently good. Great staff. Miso is delicious and the sashimi is fresh.
Great takeout , fresh tuna. Beautiful presentation. will be ordering again.
Great sushi spot, consistent quality. Never had a bad dining experience in 6 years.
It wouldn't be Friday night without take-out from Victoria Sushi. We love the wild salmon sashimi, Hawaiian roll, deep-fried California roll, and vegetable udon.
I have nothing to complain about. I would rate it the best in town.
Always a great dining experience there.
Fresh sushi at reasonable prices. A local favorite!!
Great food and friendly service. Portions are a bit small, but no smaller than is normal for sushi
We got in the entrance and was greeted by a lady asking for our ID and proof of vaccination. On the door is a note saying exactly this. Please provide a digital or printed copy of your proof vaccination. So we all pulled out our vaccination cards and ID she would not accept it. She started going off on us about how they don't accept the printed card....even though it states printed cards. 2 of our group myself being one of them are disabled physically and have equipment we use to get around. I don't think this is a issue of vaccine, I believe this is discrimination. Don't go here. Horrible ethics. We had to pay to get there and followed all the rules. Masks and all.
(Translated) Very good and warm (Original) Très bon et bien chaud
Fast, friendly and so tasty! Lunch specials are a great value too.
Probably the best Japanese food in Victoria
Ordered through skipthedishes. I live only a few blocks away..The monkey brain was cold and soggy, but worse the sushi was off. The fish was lukewarm and sticky perhaps still edible, but the shrimp was immediately foul tasting. I called to voice my concern that they need to check there refrigerators and fish and was told only fresh fish is used. I'm not convinced by the food served. I was offered credit on 4 pieces of sushi. I spent 68 on the platter. I do not recommend and will not be collecting my credit. 1 star.
Excellent sushi. Tuna tataki to die for. Excellent service.
I was really happy to see Victoria Sushi open up in VicWest. My person fave is their "monkey brains"-- tuna in avocado, rice and deep fried. Their other menu items are also great.
I had the beef teriyaki dinner! Such good value with miso soup, dynamite roll, a salad, tempura and beef and rice. Yummy!
Decent sushi with quick and friendly service
My family and I disvovered this restaurant today at lunchtime when we found our usual place closed for the Christmas holidays. We were all really impressed with Victoria Sushi! Everything about the experience, from the decor to the service to the food and to the prices was all outstanding and I will definitely be back.
Tender and lush fresh ingredients, nice atmosphere.
Not bad but nothing mindblowing. Staff very friendly. Good Sushi, but you can find a bit better rolls at a few other spots down town.
1 of the only places open on Christmas. Need I say anything else.
Great service! Friendly staff! Fresh! fresh! fresh! Prices are fair and the quality of the food is fantastic!
Good sushi. Great menu and excellent decor. Makes this a valuable addition to vic west without having to go downtown.
I really enjoyed the sushi here! I never received one of the items I ordered although I saw it go up on the window ready to be delivered. There was a miscommunication between the servers and they thought I had already received my order, so they threw it out. I didn't get charged for it once I brought it to their attention, and they were very kind at explaining what happened. Would go again!
Good tasting food overall but very poor service. The servers are typically seen being idle when service could be provided. They rush you when near close. They've made numerous mistakes to orders. I've stopped eating-in here altogether and typically look elsewhere for quality Japanese food.
they used old fish, It had a really bad fishy smell, Thank god I only had 2 bites as I was so hungry . got sick but could of been worse. I ate in also. There is much better sushi just across the bridge, its too bad as I live right near here but wont repeat . I expressed my concerns to the chef and he said "oh sorry" wow
One of our favourite sushi restaurants in Victoria!
Good fish, great service and friendly staff.
They're very good at accommodating specific allergies and the food is delicious. Of course the service is excellent.
Poor service. Shrimp in my udon wasn't deveined.
Good portions, reasonable prices and fast service *for take out*.
This place is a gem. Great sushi at a reasonable price
Bad ????
Reasonably priced. Fast service.
Great quality and prices!
Have been here many times, never had a problem...until tonight. Had called in an order, told it would be 15 mins (as usual), showed up after 20 mins, and no order...never was put in. What made it worse was not being believed that I had called. Had to show my cell phone log to prove it...and then they placed my original order and charged me full price. So, good food, typically good service...until it's not.
The sushi quality for that price is reasonable and the best in Victoria(super close). Friendly service.
Great service and food. Lovely atmosphere inside.
Love the gyoza! Service is usually pretty ok.
Sushi was amazing. First time picking up and I was very impressed. Restaurant was clean. Quality of fish was amazing. I will be visiting again
Delicious wild salmon! And sushi pizza
Service, Food presentation, quality and price is good. Nice ambience, however its always chilly.
Best sushi in town!
We had in total the tea, miso soup, gomae, spicy tuna roll, advacado maki roll and yam prawn tumpura. Everything was quite good, i really enjoyed the Gomae it was really good.
Delicious sushi and good selection. Service took a bit of time despite not having many customers in, otherwise the experience was amazing.
The negitoro was so fresh and tasty!
Good food but the reason I'm reviewing is because their staff are super efficient and friendly. Ran out of tea and the waiter was immediately, wanted my sushi packed up and that was done in about a minute. Was pretty busy too
Take out
The sushi was very good with nice presentation. I was very happy with my experience and I also loved the service! Best sushi restaurant in Victoria for me!
Service
I continue to go because they have reasonable price. Great food :) Not so good service as I have heard from many people
Nice food and Good service!
Presentation was amazing!! Looked great tasted pretty good too! Favourite roll was the dragonfly roll. Sashimi was good and so was the unagi nigiri. Really good service at the beginnings but by the end they kinda forgot about us lol
Great sushi
Meal type
Excellent sushi and beautifully made. We will be back. Thanks for the great take out lunch.
The staff were prompt and courteous, the food was ready quickly, and the interior was neat and well decorated. In what I assume was an honest oversight, my soy sauce dish was dirty. The most unfortunate thing was the menu; although I am not a vegetarian, I ordered a menu item that was marked as vegetarian and was surprised to see that it was served topped with katsuobushi (shaved skipjack tuna flakes), and I suspect the dashi used in the miso soup did as well. Fish is not a vegetarian item, and dishes containing it should not be marked as vegetarian on the menu. It was, however, delicious. The item in question was the agedashi tofu. Other than that, this was a very pleasant visit and I would recommend it to non-vegetarians.
Easily one of the best places in Victoria for Sushi. I really wish they delivered. It's SO good. They are open nearly 365 as well. I can't believe it.
I've have had my favourite japanese restaurants growing up in Victoria for my whole life. I started going to Victoria Sushi about 3 years ago and I honestly think this may be the best Japanese restaurant in Victoria. Great quality and selection of sushi and rolls. Prices are decent and the quality is always consistent. Try out their monkey brain appetizer.
Fresh, hot tempura and wonderful sushi etc. Restaurant is dark...could stand some lightening up. Casual and good prices.
Insanely expensive. $25 for a single special roll??
A notch above the usual sushi places. Great for lunch (quick, good specials) and dinner. Priced a little bit higher than a run of the mill place but worth it for the quality.
(Translated) I googled it a few days ago and went looking for it... It was so delicious... It was a bit disappointing that the nabe broth was cold... but it was still delicious... I won't be disappointed. (Original) 몇일전에 구글보고 찾아서 갔어요... 너무 맛있었어요... 나베가 국물이 식어서 조금 아쉽긴했는데 ... 그래도 맛있었어요.... 실망하지 않을거예요.
We visited yesterday, and really enjoyed our time! Nice ambiance, friendly staff and we were seated quickly. The variety of the menu was great. Variety of standard sushi, sashimi and rolls, and good choice of specialty rolls. Also good variety of other items like teriyaki dishes, rice bowls, etc. Our server was super friendly and helpful making decisions. I highly recommend the Firecracker roll, Aladdin roll and Esquimalt roll. We had a salmon avocado roll that tasted so fresh, like the fish had just been caught and the avocado just came off the tree. This will easily become one of our go-to places in the future!
Great food, great prices, and great website!
Little black ant crawling under my suchi Treated like I was responsible Too bad because we like the place poor service no water offered No refund Stay away
They'd still using Styrofoam for their take out.
Meh! Food is good but not any better than any other sushi place and it’s morr expensive. They also don’t correct any errors when they make them. Basically it’s good sushi but for less money and garaunteed correct order just go to anywhere else.
This has to be my favourite sushi restaurant in Victoria. Awesome and friendly staff, great prices and extremely good (and fast) food! My go to for sushi.
I am slightly disappointed with the service here. The food was tasty but they ignored us for 15 minutes at a time and they weren't very busy. We almost walked out twice. Even with tasty sushi we will be going elsewhere next time.
Awful experience twice now. The vegetable roll is all lettuce. The menu says it includes avocado and pepper, but the pieces were so tiny I couldn’t even see them. And the sushi was sliced so thin the lettuce just spilled out everywhere. It should be listed as a salad. Worst we have ever seen. And the Agadashi tofu had a sticky, gum-like texture that I can’t even explain. For 2 people is came to over $50 - an incredible rip off for such terrible quality.
Overall I'd highly recommend it. The best roll was a tempura tuna roll it was amazing. Beautiful room and good service. Lots to chose from and great dish presentation.
Absolutely delicious, quick seating, quick served, thoroughly enjoyed
nice restaurant
Always delicious food and friendly staff.
Excellent food. N service
This place lives up to the reviews. Timely courteous service. Obviously the pick up only takes away from what would surely be great presentation, but the flavours are fresh and delicious.
This is definitely the best sushi in Victoria!!! It was fresh and delicious great staff ????????????
Good prices
Wide selection on the menu, and service is normally pretty quick, making it a good choice for lunchtimes
We come here often. Love the sashimi salad roll and the Hawaiian roll.
Sushi dining is a crowded space in Victoria and as such the restaurants needs to do more than your average to stand out. My wife and I went for dinner mid-week based on a referral from a friend. The place was quiet and we had no problem getting a booth. Service was quick. We had the Esquimalt Platter for $26 that included 6 rolls and some gyoza to start. The gyoza was just okay. The had an interesting sauce that came with it; bit on the spicy side. Something they might want to mention... The rolls were okay, but not expertly rolled so they came apart quite easily. They were well presented and had a unique twist like others mentioned. I thought the freshness of the fish wasn't quite there. In summary, nice setting, decent service but food quality is what I expect and it fell a bit short.
Used to be my fave sushi place sadly in the past year the quality has gone super down hill. Left me super dissapointed in my food and experience. And wishing I hadn't wasted my money. Rolls had no flavor, were super hard to eat and they fell apart just trying to pick them up and rolls that should be hot were Luke warm. Service was meh. And not sure of on purpose but both me and my friend were overcharged from what the bill said to what she actually put into the pinpad for us to pay by a few dollars each. Doesn't seem like an accident or mistake when 2 outta 3 in my party had that happen to us. Seems like they were hoping we wouldn't notice. Waitress also came to get us to pay with dripping wet hands and handed me a wet pinpad with soy sauce on it. Gross.
Best sushi in Victoria
it was decent but sriracha on sushi should be banned and punishable by public flogging.
(Translated) It's really good. Recommended (Original) 대박 진짜 맛있어요. 강추
What a complete disappointment! Where did you learn to make sushi? Who told you it was a good idea to lather it up with sriracha sauce and call it "spicy" Go into ANY decent sushi restaurant in Victoria and order "spicy" tuna or anything else. I promise you you won't see that cheap red sauce on their food... you should be embarrassed. There was nothing good about anything we ordered. And where do you get off charging $1.00 for 2 packets of soy sauce? You will not last long... Terrible
Amazing Sushi, very nice presentation. Same owners as Mill Bay Sushi.
This is my local sushi place. It is very consistent and straightforward if you are at all familiar with Japanese or Korean food. They usually have K-Pop or J-Pop playing, if that’s your jam. I recommend the Spicy Chirashi Don
Inexpensive for victoria. fresh sushi with wild salmon as their standard. Very Covid cautious and comfortable dining set up. Great lunch box specials and possibly the best tempura I've had in a very long time. Highly recommend.
Quick service, friendly staff and delicious food.
Charming little restaurant to have sushi in . Big taste little price ,very reasonably priced awesome food , will be going back again and again
Great fresh and delicious sushi
Always good. Consitently good. Excellent service. Really good sushi. Love the monkey brains.
Good sushi, reasonably priced. Really tasty appies.
Pricey buy worth it
Amazing presentation and taste! Tempura Yam rolls and Agedashi Tofu were superb. I'll be back !
Ate here a few weeks back. Really good raw fish and cooked food. Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant was clean and nice decor. Prices were reasonable for Victoria, slightly on the high side compared to Vancouver, but that's the case everywhere in Vic. Favourite Japanese so far since moving over 7 months ago... Too bad it's so far from North Saanich.
Best sushi in Victoria, best lunch combo, always ready before the time they quote you.
Great spot for sushi on "this side" of the bridge
Amazing place! Have been coming here weekly for years. Staff are super friendly and recognize me every time. Sushi is excellent - among the best on the island. Highly recommended.
Not bad but not great .
Love it! I go lots. Most sushi in Victoria is meh. This place is YEAH!
Love the decor and atmosphere. Quality over quantity for the price you pay. Has some neat names for dishes. Service was okay; server was pretty friendly.
We arrived for lunch at ten past noon, took us twenty minutes and multiple attempts before the server took our other. It took until almost one before we got our lunch. If they are that backed up, maybe they should howh more staff or let people know that there's a big wait for food.
Wow, as usual "Fast & Fantastic" ! Monkey Brain always a favorite ????????
Excellent food and attentive service. The tempura was particularly good as well as the yam and spider rolls. A great place to eat and relax.
Excellent! Love the Bento box lunch ❤️
Always Great Food , Very Fresh , Service is always fast and on point. They have affordable lunch and dinner platters that make it not so expensive to have the whole sushi experience !! One of the best places for sushi In Victoria !!
Freaking love this place! So fresh the prices are reasonable! I thought the fish was really, really fresh tasting and that the environment was pretty and relaxing.
Went for lunch with 2 friends yesterday. We all agreed it was probably the most bland, uninspired sushi and overall lunch experience in Victoria. The tempura was soggy, my salmon teriyaki was overcooked and the sauce was just... weird. For lack of a more appropriate term. Won't be trying this one again anytime soon because there are so many other great sushi options in town. Two stars because the service was pretty good, and it was cheap.
Victoria Sushi has become my favourite Sushi place in Victoria. Prices are competitive, service is great and the atmosphere is clean & relaxing. Have been there a few times now and was surprised and thankful the server remembered I like to use a fork. The seafood Udon is huge and filled with lots of seafood. The lunch special is really affordable and you get lots of food. Yes I would recommend Victoria Sushi in Westside Village with lots of free parking.
Just don't order their version of sushi pizza ????
Beautiful experience in every way....
We went with a large group to celebrate a birthday. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs—rearranging tables, providing chairs, and letting us bringing our own birthday cake. Excellent service, food, and price.
Great staff. Very accommodating. Me and my coworkers come here for lunch often and they accommodate us by having our food ready so that we can come and eat right away. Also the food is awesome. Try their lunch combos. Very fresh very reasonably priced.
Great sushi, i got addicted when they opened their first shop Sushi Langford.
I work in the area. I have seen the sign a few times, and I thought I'd give the place a try. I brought my family. My daughter and I are sushi fans, but my wife won't eat it. My daughter raved about the California Rolls, My wife loved the Chicken Teriyaki meal, and the sashimi actually elevated my mood while I was eating it. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall we found the food quality high, the price reasonable, and the service great. We don't eat out very much, but we'd go there again and again.
Best sushi in town!
Its often open when others are not on the Esquimalt side of the bridge. Its kid friendly, decebt prices and we keep going back. I don't like polluck so I have to be aware of what I'm ordering as it pops up as "crab" in menu items.
Very good food. Nice staff
Great food, great service and great time spent at Victoria Sushi. Give it a try!
Good lunch spot
Great bento box for lunch. Great value. Have only eaten here for lunch and I highly recommend it.
Beautiful decor and prompt service. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to understand what vegetarian meant and despite my explanation and reminder our tofu dish arrived with bonito flakes on it, and after eating the miso soup I was very doubtful that it was vegetarian as advertised. Also, their menu claims that they have several vegetarian caterpillar rolls which was the main reason we went, but when we got their the server said that there was crab meat in them... definitely not vegetarian. Harrumph.
On your way in or out of downtown this is a good way to avoid lineups and paying for parking. Past the convenience you get a solid selection of options and a very comfortable environment. My only caution is when they say hot.. take them seriously. The staff is great!
Great food, good prices and always friendly staff. Nice 5 minute walk from home. Restaurant is always very clean. Look forward to going back.
