The baby back ribs are not the best at all, very dry. The wings are a generous portion but they taste very dry. Disappointing first time experience. Maybe I was unlucky first time around.

Went here for breakfast and was blown away at the friendly service and tasty food. We are a young family with a 5 year old and a 1 year old, and ordered 3 dishes (as the 1 year old can't exactly eat a full dish to himself). When our food arrived, our server ended up bringing an extra complimentary small bowl of fruit for our baby as well! What a wonderful way to start the day and the thoughtfulness was just so appreciated. We had such a blast here that we went to try dinner there the next day on our trip!

It’s a pretty place. The servers were polite, friendly and quick. The best dishes were: curried penne, mushroom skillet, key lime pie. The not so good we’re: wings, chocolate cake. But it was definitely an experience I would like to repeat.

Food arrived on time & was better than I expected given it is a chain restaurant. Disappointed to see some of the servers not wearing masks & a few areas of service could have had more attention. E.g. appreciate they wipe the menus down but ours were soaking when given to us. That said, friendly staff, tasty food & family friendly atmosphere.

While the food was tasty, we were puzzled why our 20ish waiteess would ask us 50ish patrons for ID. While told the kitchen was "working hard on our meals" in fact had not started any orders since our waitress had to make a clarification with me. Family dining, not fancy. You'll be fed and watered and good to go.

Chicken parmesan burnt on one side... noodles were great. Club sandwich extra greasy, fries were great. Key lime pie was very rich. Staff member talked flirted and gave out his number to couple at adjacent table rather than take care of his other customers, forgetting their drinks and forgetting to serve the appetizer.. Will attempt one more time!

Great family restaurant, good atmosphere and choices. Had the BBQ Blaze burger and it was very tasty, well balanced. Wife had the fish and chips, delicious. Kids had macaroni and pizza. They warned us that the macaroni was really hot but somehow my kid still managed to burn her tongue. She still ate the whole bowl, apparently it was very tasty.

"Better than expected" were the words of my 11 year old regarding her kids mac and cheese. She polished it off and was stuffed and happy. "The outside is a little too crunchy" chimed in my 8 year old about his chicken strips. Regardless, he finished them off, along with his fries and ice cream, for which we were all impressed. The Jr. hamburger - good shared my middle child. We adults? We had the Parma pizza and poutine. Oh and also a meatball. Yeah - they were all good. We'd visit again. In fact, I'd take my mother-in-law here. Finally, our server was wonderful - friendly and accommodating. Two thumbs up.

Ordered eggs benny thru skip. Arrived fast and hot, with the sauce on the side, nice and crunchy hash with the perfect amount of seasoning. I have for the past month tried every spot in Victoria for this meal with nothing good enough to order a second time. Frankie's by far is the best I've found and will definitely be ordered more asap! Thank you for a great breakfast! PS take out or delivery is served in a box that's capable of being made into a flat plate big time bonus!

With a comfortable atmosphere and good staff, my family and I enjoyed the food. Definitely try the Italian soda here, I had mango as I am a fiend for mango and the chicken and waffles for dinner. Waffle was crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. The fried chicken was really good. When in Victoria and are near the area definitely pop if you are hungry.

Great location. Not expensive. I had the garden omlete. It was good and their homemade jam is wonderful. Comfortable atmosphere. Is located on the second floor, walk up stairs. Elevator? Found the whole table area filthy and sticky. Shows not cleaned daily. Even table condements dirty. Window looking outside are filthy, should be clean, especially for the view. Servers were tentative,kind and smiling with customers. Definitely recommend. I hope management sees this and cleans the place. Needs some TLC

Shoutout to our waitress (not entirely sure what her name was - maybe Jessie? - she’s from Calgary) I was served by her today around 4-5pm and the other day too and was in there with my girlfriend. We spoke to her about whale watching quite a bit. Anyway, she was absolutely fantastic and gave great bubbly customer service on both of our visits to the restaurant. We were very happy to be served by her for the second time and we think she provided the best customer service we’ve ever had at a restaurant. A credit to your restaurant. Also, please let her know we managed to see some Orcas and had a great time! Will and Sarah ????????????????????????????

Came back on our current visit to Victoria, 11 months later. They have increased Their breakfast early riser special to $8.75, with no regrets I was happy to pay the Near $2 increase. Breakfast was cooked perfectly. Hard to find a cook in Canada who knows how to scramble an egg. They accomplished it perfectly. My wife had breakfast sausage and they were far from the normal floor scraping offered in breakfast houses. The ham I had was hand carved from the leg, not Ham with the the feel of processed baloney. The kid's meals were enormous for on $6 each. Their bacon was excellent and pancake hot enough to melt the butter. Oh, and they use real butter. That is a rare experience in restaurants. (last year) Their breakfast special for just over $7 was an excellent value and service was great. I enjoyed the room also.

All the dinner classics are here, as well as a nice variety of Italian dishes. Everything is tasty and served by friendly people. I especially like the lamb dip sandwich. Breakfast is served until 1:00 weekdays and 2:00 weekends. A wheelchair can get into this second story business but it isn't straightforward. You have to go to the side of the building and down the hill to find an entrance and then back through the building to an elevator. The best plan is to call them. They will be happy to help you find it.

Pros: friendly and helpful staffs, good atmosphere, price is pretty good and milkshakes are damn good! Cons: the foods were big disappointment. Came here because of the high reviews. Had been craving for steak so ordered one. Asked for medium but it was more than well done. Very hard and not tasty. The sides were very oily (roasted Brussels sprouts) and fries were very salty. Gave me stomach gas for the whole night. My guy ordered their burger. The beef patty had a strong taste which was pretty hard to swallow. Their cheesecake was below average too. Will only return for the milkshakes if we ever visit Victoria again.

Amazing!!! We were here for a trip and heard so many great things about this restaurant. It surpassed all expectations, we all had different items and enjoyed everything so much and we couldn't finish because of the generous portion sizes. Also I forgot to mention happy hour is all day 11am to close! Clam chowder and the cod burger were the favorites for myself. GO HERE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

Giving 4 stars instead of 5, due to the chaotic nature of the service. It was a busy night, but the service was still decent. My drink was forgotten, as well as my tartar sauce for the fish and chips. Everything that we ordered came fast and fresh, and was absolutely delicious. I hope to return soon to try their breakfast menu.

Frankie’s was extraordinary. The latte with vanilla almond milk was incredibly tasty and the Tree Hugger breakfast was so delicious. Seriously the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The hash browns were crispy with the perfect amount of salt and pepper. They even put fresh grated Parmesan cheese on them. Wow! No ketchup needed. The service was beyond amazing too. I’ll be back for sure. Yum!

It was her last day there and we were honoured to be her last customers. Frankie's food is definitely bussin, I ordered the fish and chips. If you are lucky, you may even meet the man himself :O!

The breakfast was delicious. However, when we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty, but the hostess said the kitchen was backed up which is fine. But instead of seating us and letting us wait with some coffee at one of the dozens of empty tables, we had to stand and wait in the foyer for ten minutes. Would have given this a five star review if it weren't for that.

I had the waffles with blueberry compote and lemon curd. If you like lemon, I would suggest this. But a little too much topping as a whole for me, as I enjoy more waffle than topping in my bite ???? My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles which he really enjoyed. You could tell it was fresh food. Would go back.

We were only victoria for one night and we wanted to go to a family friendly restaurant and we chose Frankie's. We were so happy with our decision. The restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. The customer service was one of the best services I have had in a long time! The food was delicious ????. Our server, Diego was so wonderful and he really went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. The managers were also so wonderful. My husband asked if they could have the football game on and after about 40 mins a few other customers asked for the hockey game. They changed the channel but one of the managers brought his cell phone and put the game on his phone for my husband. My husband is also a hockey fan so didnt care but wow to that gesture. Amazing in every way!

This place is in Victoria Cananda and was truly the best brunch I have had in a long time!! $5 Huge Mimosas!! The Eggs Benedict were the best I had ever tasted. I had high hopes for this place, ribs came out burnt and crunchy (not tender as they described it). Since they broil it during the cooking process, and the fries tasted like they cooked it in the vicinity of the ribs as it tasted exactly like the ribs. With a very charred taste. They brought out ribs afterwards though was better, but nothing impressive. Tried some of my other family members food and theirs was better. would not recommend the ribs, but perhaps trying something else. Dessert is dessert. Key lime pie is tart, not sweet but smooth. The apple pie tasted a bit off since the pie crust wasn't exactly crunchy or flavorful. Almost tasted raw. Overall, it was an okay restaurant experience, staff were friendly but as per noted above, the food could be better especially for the prices they are charging.

I really liked it! The decor is cute, each table has a photo of Frankie and his family. I wish they would add gluten-free pancakes but they did have a decent number of gluten-free options so I really appreciated that. The only thing is that it's quite expensive, and the service was pretty slow considering it wasn't too busy when we were there. Still, I'd happily go again!

What made this stand out for me was the friendly staff, who were willing to explain the menu and help as much as they could. The menu had lots of choice, and was not expensive. We took advantage of the drinks offers - so these were extra good value. The service was fast, the food hot and well presented. We were a couple, but the diner obviously catered for families as well. I enjoyed the experience of eating at Frankie's, and wouldn't hesitate in eating there if I was in Victoria again.

Went here last evening with my girlfriends and was impressed by evrything was there. From food to drinks in happy hour menu , Ambience , Sitting area, Our table and the washrooms are all well Organized and the food is delicious ! Service was normal as the place got busier after we came but we got attended in the timely manner . Me and my girlfriends really liked our drinks and then following the food. The best mimosas i have ever had and the ceaser’s tasted incredibly good too! However at the end my bill was over charged but was fixed right away and i am coming bak to Frankie’s again . Highly recommended ????????

A really fun restaurant!! The menu had lots of options but I had the cheeseburger(a choice of 2 sides). It was delicious! I thought the prices were fair and we brought dessert back for later!! If you are looking for casual, good food, great portions and decent pricing ...this is it!! It all looked great - I would definitely go back

The place is not accessible for strollers and people with wheelchairs. The atmosphere at the place is good. The menu is varied and the dishes look's very tasty. We ordered chicken tandory and it was excellent. The only thing that was a problem, the dishes arrived 40 minutes later (even more). Its was not ok at all. The waitress was very nice and said there were shortcomings in the kitchen so the delay but we would have preferred that they tell us not to order certain dishes.

Good food and service, in my personal experience the waitress was really kind and helpful. The reason I am putting 3 stars is because I ordered a chicken parmigian and I did not like it at all, I have been in many other Italian restaurants and they usually serve a big portion or 2 chicken breast however I found that the portion here was not that big in comparison to the others, also the pasta was not that good.

Fantastic value. The food is moderately priced, so I was expecting moderate quality. My expectations were greatly exceeded. The food is simple but excellent. I got the deluxe burger which was juicy and full of fresh veg. My wife got the cod and chips. The batter was thick and light with a nice crunch. The fries were crispy and light. Everything about this meal was awesome I will order from here again.

Frankies was a hit with the family! Something for everyone! The special was A “pizza” grilled cheese with tomato soup! A bacon cheeseburger was juicy and delicious and it came with two sides! So did the huge Parmesan Chicken sandwich also two sides and the little one had the vegetarian linguini Alfredo and it came with a nice piece of focaccia bread.

What can I say we bought burgers from Burger King below Frankie's ..no seating at Burger King...so we walked up stairs and seen chairs out in the balcony..sat down to eat the management comes out and told us its Frankie's seats .and to my surprise said we could enjoy our meal on their balcony seats ...awesome and very nice gesture ..I'm going to come back and eat at Frankie's..good host =good food I've learnt in my time . Great place for food when you're in downtown Victoria! This was only a block away from our hotel, so we had to come and check the place out. There was a 15 minute wait for a table, but that didn't matter, because as soon as our food came, that was no longer an issue. It was definitely worth the wait! The highlight of our meal however, were the desserts. The key lime pie and flourless chocolate cake were absolutely delicious!

This place hands down has the best mozza sticks I have ever had; and trust me, I have had a lot of mozza sticks in my 25 years. I'd give this place a 5 but the only other thing I tried (only there for a quick bite with friends) was their chicken wings and the flavour was a bit weird (salt and pepper). Otherwise this place is really nifty! Modern indeed, and the bathrooms pretty much have floor to ceiling stalls which is always awesome. Next time I'm in Victoria I'll be returning.

I was very impressed. The food was outstanding. Good price for what you get. Bread products were very soft and fresh. Didnt get the pie but I will be coming back to get it. One thing that made me feel good is I asked for no mayo in my sandwich or dressing on salad. The staff asked if I had a dairy allergy. I dont but it's nice to know that she picked up on clues that's I could have and was making sure my needs were being taken care of.

This place doesn't look big from the outside but it can seat quite alot of people. The menu has quite variety of dishes. We went for breakfast. Everyone was pleased with their food. Eggs benny was good and the hash was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly. They have all day happy hour on the weekend. The service was very friendly and quick. They add 15 percent gratuity to groups over 8 people.

Cost approx $28.00 including delivery fee and tip (approx $8.00) for 2 piece cod fish and chips. The fish was moist and tasty. The two pieces of fish were average size: not tiny, not huge. Fries were thin cut, run of the mill, and not plentiful. They did accomodate my request for no coleslaw, and instead added extra lemon and tartar sauce. I think if the fries were hand-cut thicker with skin on, and more fries given, they would be a better vehicle to transport yummy gravy into my mouth. Slightly bigger pieces of fish, with a crispier batter, and better fries would make the $20 feel worth it. The price is average compared with similar restaurants. Still, fish was tasty.

First time here but will definitely be back ... after COVID restrictions are lifted. Food was delicious, loved the extensive menu choices and the decor. Our server was friendly and helpful. There is a wheelchair entrance on Courtney Street but you need to call the restaurant to get you through the locked door to access the elevator. Well worth the effort!

Thank God for Frankie’s! The best place for breakfast in all of Victoria! When you need to set out early morning for your trip in Victoria, Frankie’s is there. Open early and lots of seating available, Frankie’s had made our trip to Victoria extra special. For three days in a row Frankie’s filled us up for our days outing and kept our lips smacking for more. Great, friendly staff & service, Frankie’s delivered on flavor and quantity. We’re talking mega sized breakfast for such a great price! The kid loved, loved, loved the pancakes and waffles, ME I enjoyed the meat lovers omelet and the wife dug the eggs benny all within our budget! We just had to stop in for dinner and boy were we impressed with the selection and quality too for dinner service. Just a stone’s throw away from the hotel district in downtown, Frankie’s hit a home run by being open early, great on the wallet, staff/service and absolutely amazing quality of food! You gotta check out Frankie’s if you’re in Victoria!

Okay listen, I had such an amazing experience with Frankie's that I am posting this review while I'm eating their food... I ordered the Capatin Morgan's Applecakes. The pancakes are soft, warm, and the perfect texture and the TOPPING. YUM. I ordered through Skip so I was a little worried that things would be soggy upon arrival. That was not the case - Frankie's was smart enough to package the topping and the pancakes separately so I could combine to my liking. The sausages are not too greasy with a great savory flavour, and the creamy, cheesy hashbrowns are to die for. Overall I'm very impressed not just with the food, but the level of care that went into prepping and packaging the food as well. They even tossed some butter and syrup in my order at my request - no extra charge! Great job Frankie's, you are doing the pandemic the right way ????

The food here is amazing; everything from the taste to the presentation. The stromboli is a must-try. All of the meals and desserts ordered for lunch were absolutely delicious. Our service was outstanding; our servers are consistently friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was both relaxing and welcoming; some booths feature small photographs of the owner's family, which shows their pride in this restaurant. Additionally the location above Government St. allow for lots of light and people-watching. Always looking forward to visiting again and would highly recommend to anyone seeking really good, comforting food.

The service by the hostess was excellent. Waitress took awhile to approach our table for initial drink order. We were excited to try their Chicken & Waffles as it came with a Rosemary Syrup.. very disappointing!!!! A plain waffle with three chicken strips and a side of syrup that tasted like Aunt Jemima ; zero Rosemary! We own a Rosemary bush and cook with it so we know the taste!!! No presentation. No fruit.. nothing! Will not order this dish again nor recommend it!

Staff was friendly of course, but also fast orderly and professional. Very grateful for that. This is a fantastic diner. Visiting to the city it felt like the perfect place for a brunch. Totally nailed it. Great pie, good atmosphere, nice to hangout. But on top.of that, I had a salmon eggs Benny. Could not recommend that enough. Intensely smokey salmon, and perfect eggs. It was just the perfect thing when surrounded by fish and chips. Excellent as it may be. Go here.

From appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious. A tad on the heavy side but amazing. One of the things that surprised me was the value. You definitely get your monies worth at this place. Service could use a little work, perhaps the occasional smile would be nice but overall good experience. Very laid back and relaxing environment.

I had the most delicious smoked salmon bennie! I could have that every day for breakfast... Seriously. My husband had the steak sandwich and said it was cooked perfectly and they have lattes which is key for a good brunch! Accommodating with kids and families. Would definitely recommend eating here!! I went last night for a Mom's night out with a good friend of mine. Both of us choose the dine around menu and was not disappointed! Our server was great and the food was so good. The portion sizes was much bigger then I am used to and now I have some leftovers for my lunch today. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Ordered on Skip last night. Chicken parm was too burnt to enjoy without taking off the crust and burnt bits flakey off ruined the rest of the dish, so that was disappointing. The rest of the order was good. Seems like the chicken got neglected for a minute too long by the cook on the hot side, it would've been nice to have it quality checked by someone before being packaged, pretty standard procedure in restaurants I've worked in.

The food was well-prepared and reasonably priced. Tried it out on dine around promotion. Service was responsive and the premise was clean. The mushroom skillet was on point and the house made focaccia was quite tasty. The curried penne was well prepared and generously portioned but could use some added spiciness. The key lime pie was good as well - smooth with a little tart, not too sweet.

My husband & I were really looking forward to trying this place as we were visiting Victoria, and walked past it closed the previous 2 nights we were in town. We were greeted and seated quickly but sat for at least 10 minutes and no server came by to at least say hi and get a drink order. It wasn’t busy at all. There was 1 server standing at a table about 5 feet away from us, whom we assume was supposed to be our server but she spent an excessive amount of time talking to customers who were obviously finished and paid. Once the person who sat us walked past our table and didn’t stop when it was obvious we hadn’t been served after so long we decided it was time to go somewhere else. Place looks nice and cozy though and lots of good options on the menu.

The service was good. The waitress was promptly and kind. However, the food was not like they are in the images. They were tasteless and over cooked. Halibut fish & chip was too greasy and the seafood linguini was over cooked with the sea ingredients. We were surprised to have that experience after seeing that high rating.

Well lite place, nice and clean! Not very busy when we went 8pm. Service was really good. Food was not to bad, ok selection, nothing really stood out. Not really a meat lovers place, but still good. Beer was cold and good! One star cause the wife got food poisoning from the chicken we figure, that was the only food if hers that I didn't try ????.

This place is at a very nice location on government street. The ambience is pretty nice, especially if you are visiting with your family. They do have eclectic menu and quite a few vegetarian options as well. We tried their vegetarian curry pasta and we loved it. The sauce is little sweet.. and it was kind of different from what we regularly eat as a pasta.. But.. certainly worth a try! We also tried their bruchette bread..and that was okay...a small appetizer. And yes..the service was good and pretty quick! Overall.. really nice place and taste for the price you pay!

Loved this place! Service is super friendly and quick. The ambiance here is very energetic and lively. The dining room is really huge and so can't imagine it being hard to get a table unless you show up in the middle of lunch rush (which we didn't). Lots of large comfortable booths. My dish was a fish dish that resembled Shepherd's Pie, which I love, but portion size not enough for me without the extra salad that we shared (and loved). The pasta dish was very good and would love to have that again. We bussed in from the ferry so cannot comment on the parking situation here. More than likely I would have parked somewhere outside of downtown and walked in for sightseeing and dining (which I did on another occasion). Overall, loved the food here enough that I will be back if in our province's capital city again.

Ordered tempura fish and chips. Slaw was excellent, fresh and crisp. Tempura fish failed. Tempura batter so rubbery that a steak knife was required. The diner manager replied to my review. He forgot that he was supposed to address the rubber fish situation last year, when I first brought it to his attention. One year later, same rubber fish. His last words to me?" Not going to sweat losing you as a customer for 1 minute". Nice.

West Coast was the best eggs benny I have ever had. Almost cried at the last bite. The ONLY nitpicky criticism I can offer is that the diced hashbrowns had quite the difference in chunks that the larger diced browns were slightly undercooked(negligible). Server, fantastic. Wait times, short. Atmosphere? Cozy. This is my favorite breakfast joint in Victoria now. Thank you.

I must say I was very impressed with the breakfast I had here. The eggs benny florentine were awesome and well presented. The eggs were perfect, and the sauce exquisite. Service was fast and friendly. I anticipated a more expensive menu, as we are in the middle of tourist traffic, but it was reasonable. I'll definitely be back for more breakfast.

So Very Disappointing! We ordered 2 steak dinners, both medium well. One was well done and the other medium. Steaks were also very gristly, you could not even cut it. We did show our waitress and she was willing to send it back but we were almost done. Why would we want another meal and wait for another 30-45 minutes? The steaks were very poor quality and would not matter how you cook them they would be bad. They should not have this on their menu. Normally if there is something wrong with the meal a discount would be given. None was. Bill was $73.00 and not worth it at all. We did not give the waitress a tip but we know it was not her fault in the cooking of the food. She should have brought this up with a manager at the time we were there. We don't live here, and we won't definitely come back to this establishment.

Excellent food. The flavours were amazing. Staff were real friendly, we got a nice seat for 2 by the window. I will definately go back. I highly recommend the Curry Penne. Frankie's will be on my once a month visit for sure. I'd go there for a Birthday dinner.
