This Bowling Alley is classified in the category of Breakfast restaurant.
Friendly staff, and tasty food. Pretty basic breakfast options unless you are a fan of waffles, pancakes, and crepes. It was the only place open downtown Christmas Eve for breakfast and I didn't have to wait.
Busy breakfast place with constant hustle and bustle of people in and out. Usually a small wait, but once seated every happens at a quick and efficient pace. My order of eggs and crepes were excellent with generous servings. My server Chloe was certainly a joy to have as a waitress. Very upbeat, cheerful and attentive..she certainly made it worthwhile stopping here for breakfast! The only beef I have is the tiny table I was parked in.
It's like a way heathier version of IHOP. Pretty big portions and the price beats many expensive breakfast options in Victoria. Friendly staff, good tea, fresh fruit, and tasty crepes.
Great for family breakfast. Healthy breakfast with good portion
I ordered thru skip. The food was hot but it was mediocre, the potatoes were burnt. The fruit was old... and the Benny sauce was bland. Would not order from here again.
The triple chocolate pancake is different from the menu pic. I just told the waitress that there is less banana, and then she started to argue with me that it’s a whole banana and if I want more she can get it for me. At the time, I had most of the pancake already and don’t really have the proof. Then I remembered that I took the picture before I eat it. I showed her the picture and she said nothing. Not a single sorry! I am just saying! She is so rude! I just want you to improve, and it’s no big deal! Or add a disclaimer to each photo! I won’t go to this restaurant again!
Our waitress Chloe was great. Very friendly, fast, and kept my coffee topped up before I ever had a chance to ask. Food was good. Not amazing, but good and would definitely go back. Great selection - perfect for families with kids. My son had a crepe and devoured it. Kept asking for more throughout the day. Lots to choose from. Recommended.
Unfortunately, we couldn't get past "security" at Cora's to have breakfast this morning. We even had all of our vaccination papers and ID's and we ended up getting kicked out. Recommending John's Place for breakfast! We had the best breakfast of our lives there! They were even featured on You Gotta Eat Here TV show! The food was incredible!
So good. Lots of vegetarian options, they load you up on the side of fruit (my gf and I couldn't finish them and we tried) and the general atmosphere is fun. Great place to go if you're hungry or want something healthy that won't make you feel gross. Coffee was excellent as well.
Good family restaurant with lots of choices of food for kids and adults. We liked all drinks and drinks, but the blueberry pancake came with a long hair in it. We informed the server about it, but all they did was apologize and replaced just one pancake. A good professionalism says make the whole platter to be replaced or make it free. That was disappointing. First of all the hair in food is disgusting, and if we were not angry, you don’t just replace just the pancake but the whole platter should be made complimentary, and that is how you earn good points from your customers whom you made feel disgusted with hair in the food.
Inattentive waiter. Long wait for food which was just warm. Cook put food up but it sat there too long. Not going back. Lots of other places to eat in Victoria
Great food, great service, tons of choice, traditional Heavy breakfast! They also have brunch option!
Ridiculous selection! So much to choose from. Family friendly. Great coffee! Staff are tops. Such great service. We've been here so many times and never a wait, never a mediocre meal. Always leave feeling happy and satisfied and energized. Prices are very respectable. Not expensive for the amount and quality of the meal. Love coming here
We vacationed in Victoria, BC in mid-April 2019. We had a terrific breakfast at Cora on our last morning, before heading to he Ferry terminal. Service was great. Food was fantastic. Great music, I sang along to many of the fabulous tunes. Cora opens early which is a blessing when you have an early morning Ferry to board. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
Consistent. Delicious. Good coffee and great service. Close to downtown.. open early and staff very welcoming. Tons of menu options for all types of diets. Can't really go wrong here
Great breakfast spot. Super busy, so if you're in a hurry try another place. Food was great, with a tonne of options.
I had been to Cora before - it hasn't changed. Not having gone out for breakfast in a while I decided to try Cora on Douglas Street in downtown Victoria since I had shopping to do nearby. The ambiance and staff/servers were wonderful. I appreciated their attentiveness. Very professional and I commend that. The food was mediocre; I wanted steak and eggs - which they don't serve - so ordered the Chorizo and Goat Cheese Crepomelette. Big serving, with fruit on the side. The hollandaise sauce was too salty; loved the potatoes! I'd recommend ordering the omelette instead of the crepomlette - Service was great and I appreciate that. The menu is what you see online - I had hoped they had steak and eggs on in-house menu but they don't. The menu you see online is what they serve. I found the menu confusing and it caused some anxiety ---- I just wanted breakfast! There were families, friends and elderly couples that came in while I was at Cora. Would I recommend it to my family and friends? No... there are places with a better $20 breakfast.
If you don’t work from 7 am, then don’t advertise you open at 7 am. I ordered pancakes a night before online, and the system said it would be ready by 730. I showed up at 7 am and asked the only floor staff to get the order earlier by any minutes. She didn’t even bother to check my order# and took a phone call. After a good two minutes on a call, the answer was no and said. “your whatever order will be ready by the time.” LOL. Well, two orders of pancakes get ready by one, two, or three minutes earlier is not much to ask. At least, the girl could use the magic phrase, “I can‘t promise, but we will try our best.” If you, the venue owner, are reading this review, that is the exact staff you don't want in your business. It was on Nov. 12, so check your book.
Food was ok. They server seemed really rushed. I ate my entire $20 meal and was still super hungry after. Portions are tiny. There's also not enough meat on the menu. Our meals also didn't come with fruit.
Still as delicious as ever. Over the several years I have been here, the quality has been very reliable in both the food offered and the staff's service providing it. Now I just need a sweet & savory menu item that has one fruit crepe and one hearty crepe as it's options - hint hint nudge nudge ;3
Filling dishes and a great assortment of breakfast items. Lots of possible side additions you can add to your meal. Good prices.
Meal type
Many of the dishes are a bit too sugary for my taste, but other than that the food and service has always been excellent and the space itself is convenient and comfortable.
Food was great as always. The reason why I took out one star is because of the server. we had such a terrible experience with the server. I have never met such a rude server ever. …
My favorite brunch restaurant in the town.
Very colorful plates and a welcoming atmosphere! Friendly staff and good sized portions for what you pay. Lots of fruit on every plate.
Came in for brunch with a friend and our waiter Yuri was very friendly and helpful. The food was really good and the fruit cocktail of the day was very delicious. The decor gave me a nostalgic sense that reminded me of elementary school.
If you don't mind waiting its a popular and great value for money breakfast and brunch restaurant diner. Great for families!
Service is great!!! They are all friendly. Toast is good! But Scrambled eggs is a bit runny and not hot .
Great place, good sized portions. Came around 8:30 on a Saturday morning and there was no wait.
Cora was alright; I wasn't super impressed. I would instead support a local breakfast place. They didn't have a lot of great Vegetarian options.
Brunch
The fresh sweet strawberries were piled high on my strawberry waffles. Their fruit cocktail smoothie was perfect with the no sugar added too. We will be back tomorrow!
Cora has highly professional staff and I tried Gigi which is mainly an omelette with fresh fruits and it was so good! I’d love to visit Cora again!
The food was great and the service was very friendly, however service to the table could have been a bit quicker. The size of the food was enormous so we decided to share one dish between us. The price is very reasonable and had a very friendly vibe.
I went to Cora for the first time when I was in Quebec city. I loved the food there then and now I visited two in Van and Vic city. The quality of food and customer service is excellent! I love the Theo meal for breakfast.
My gods. This place is so delicious. The mango kale smoothie is tasty. I always order a vegetarian version of the sweet and savory items. Their crepes are to die for.
Cora never disappoints! The food is well priced for the portions you are getting and the service is always amazing ????
Specifically asked for whipped cream with my to go order IN PERSON which they refused to give me and then they yelled at me on the phone. Crepe is dry without whipped cream.
I went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The service was quick and the server was polite and gave us suggestions. The food was okay.
We were regulars here and the food was okay up until we got curly brown hair in both of our meals and they didn't do anything about it when we informed them.
Dine in
The breakfast tastes good!l love their food! The environment is clean and their employees are very kind to us. A good place to have brunch or breakfast.(。・ω・。)ノ♡
Nice and friendly welcome. Great for Breakfast
Good Food Selection Atmosphere Prices Four of us got together here for a Christmas special get together. The food was really good. For the food quality and serving sizes the prices very good also. The restaurant the washrooms were clean. Service was terrific. The menu choices were many and some quite unique. The plates in the photos are the omelet of the day and one egg with choices. I recommend this restaurant.
Thanks for kicking us out this morning over my vaccination card. We went to John's Place. What a great place that is. We will eat there for the rest of our visit
Good service and tasty well prepared food. Large portions and our coffee cups never seem to get empty. Freindly clean establishment with covid rules in place. Prices are reasonable and menu has large variety.
There is no wheelchair access so if you are walking disabled, they cannot serve you in dignity, you may be able to roll through their kitchen - but staff was not entirely sure. Food was quite tasty, though, and staff was conventionally friendly.
Service
Waited for over 15 minutes at the door, the staff totally ignored us and other customers, the restaurant was not busy at all, the staff didn’t let us sit down and rather let us wait and some customers were waiting outside, it was cold and …
Top notch Brunch ???? Need atleast 20 mins for selection though ????????
Ordered the food via UberEats. Prompt service, food was decent. A little pricey though.
What an amazing service from this beautiful lady Bella. I have been ordering pick up food for a while now from Cora and religiously this lady greets me with same enthusiasm and happiness! Not only she is has good customer Service sense , she is also very knowledgeable when it comes to menu and food products. The store manager should definitely recognize her!
Great service fr Chloe, good breakfast, I ordered 10 stars omelette, it’s like the works omelette. Served with tst, potatoes and fruit. Made my day!!
Its not just fruit, but one comes here mostly for the fruit choices. That being said, there is a vast variety of choices for everyone. Come early and on a weekday if you want to avoid the lineup.
Always a good meal, excellent service and good value for your money.
I usually avoid places that are mostly for tourists but I finally decided to try Cora. I was initially put off by the aggressive waitress. It seemed like she just wanted to upsell me. I was also a bit disappointed that the bathrooms are upstairs. The food was good and I enjoyed my $15 breakfast of bacon and eggs with a lot of extras: toast, hashbrowns, fruit. They kept my coffee topped up.
It isn't anything more than a bit of a greasy spoon featuring brunch items, but that's perfectly fine! I usually get the same thing - a crepomelette with spinach, goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes topped with a bit of hollandaise. Pretty much every dish comes with some fruit, and the coffee is perfect to my tasting! - NO ALCOHOL -
We had brunch at Cora and it was very tasty, I took one star off because there was burnt pieces under my waffle (looked like leftovers on the waffle maker) and the knife the waitress brought to our table was wet.
