I'm very conflicted about this HD location. It's really convenient for the North Shore, and people are very friendly. That said, it's frustrating how many items this smaller location doesn't carry. And it can be extremely difficult to get help - staff are hard to find, and often not very knowledgeable. Prices are good, and hours are reasonable (it would be nice if they closed later, especially on Sundays).

Pretty much has everything you need. The staff are friendly and even though it can be a maze to navigate you'll end up finding what you need quickly with the help of one of the staff members. Park at the back so you're not bound to a time limit on your parking spot. It'll save you having to battle coffee goers for spots at the front. It's easy to get out of the mall on the back roads too instead of getting stuck in the traffic snarl out front in the Village.

This is an odd home depot. Compared with others nearby (ish) it's well stocked and well layed out, and I've had very good luck with the paint department. Probably the worst online ordering experience I have had in my life. I have been notified my order is ready numerous times. When I went to the store to pick it up I found out that 2 products out of 6 product were ready. I received further emails notifying me that my order was ready for collection. Purchased a ryobi drill set last night, brought it home to work on a time sensitive project and realized that it was a completely used product and the charger was broken and had paint all over it. It wasn't even the same charger that was pictured on the box. I was very frustrated and called the store and spoke to a manager. Had to drive back 20km the next morning to return and buy another one. They were apologetic and gave me a 30% discount on the replacement unit so I was satisfied but this sort of thing shouldn't happen in the first place, especially at Home Depot. A used broken and returned item should never be placed back on the shelf and sold as brand new. If they hadn't rectified the issue I would have given it a 1 star instead of 3. Having said that, I'd like to thank the management for their help and understanding of the situation and I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

But I might think otherwise I purchased a antitrust Paint from Park royal and also one from Surrey location as we were working on a project and wanted to make sure we don't run our of supply. but when we return the Paint to the We st van location, they didn't accept , as they wanted me to return only the paint I have purchased on their location., It seemed like they are franchise and can not accept it. This usually happened from small Companies., In a term of Costco and or Walmart, It doesn't matter which location you have purchased and they accept and add it in their inventory It was not something I wouldn't have expect from a bigger company that I have their Credit card on my Valet But Having said that their Staff was very friendly and they tried their best , but the system and the wrong policy didn't let them to help more

Buyer Beware. Brutal Service. I ordered a washing machine from home depot park royal July 5 as they said I would have it delivered to my door Sunday the 12th. This was sooner than the competitors so I chose to go with them. July 12th past, then it was the week of July 12th. Then I called in again, and it was the 20th, then the 24th for sure. Then I was told it was backordered??? But was told it had shipped so I would have it by the 31st of July for sure. Then I was told as Monday the 3rd of August was a holiday, I would have it on the 4th for sure. Its August 6th now and still nothing. Its really hard to not have a washing machine for over a month especially with kids. Every time I called in I would bounce around the auto receptionist and get transferred to different departments for at least 10 minutes before I would speak to the department head of store manager. I was always the one having to call in and ask for the delivery date as no one their own accord. The proverbial straw was after waiting on the phone for over an hour today, someone finally picked up the other end and hung up the phone immediately. I don't know what else to do, I been given 7 different delivery dates which I've stayed home that day to be here for the delivery, spoken with the managers, still no updates or washing machine. If you need an appliance in a hurry I don't recommend this store...

What it lacks in stock from what the bigger Home Depots such as the Terminal location have, it easily makes up for by having way more staff per square foot. In the larger locations, staff can be like ghosts. Here, there's someone in every aisle to help. Yes, I still go to Terminal for lumber and larger items, but this place is great otherwise. Only complaint is the parking lot fills up fast during prime mall time.

I experienced exceptional customer service from this store and from the Squamish Store. I had been searching in vain for a Christmas train for my first new Grandson for 2 years and it was sold out everywhere every time I tried to get one. This year though there were 2 way out in Squamish. I was able to purchase it over the phone but would have to wait for it to be shipped to Park Royal Home depot which was closest to me. The manager from Park Royal Home depot happened to be in Squamish while I was on the phone trying to get the train, and he offered to hand deliver it himself from Squamish to his store for me the same day and I was able to pick it up immediately in time for Christmas. I was wished a wonderful Christmas to my family and new Grandson :) It set the tone for the rest of Christmas. :)

I have said it again and again, Home Depot has no service equal on building stores! I"m a 14 years area carpenter who does repairs and construction for small commercial and residential projects. I have been in many competitive stores. Worst Customer Service. So far, Home Depot has made 2 mistakes with delivering a fridge. I had made an appointment for the fridge to be delivered Tuesday, which a customer service representative called me Tuesday to let me know it wasn't coming and it would be coming Thursday or Saturday. I waited until Saturday, no one called Saturday, so I called home depot. Once I reached a representative on the phone I was told it won't be coming Saturday. After waiting for 3 hours to hear back from someone, I confirmed with another representative that the fridge will come Thursday. Today I should have received a call that the fridge is coming and I have not. I called home depot again and was transferred twice and disconnect with no phone call back. I have been disconnected twice now. Worst Customer Service. Home depot cannot relay information to and from their affiliate companies and everyone on the phone has no idea what to do, so they just transfer you around. *update* I called Home Depot again, then I called Cascadia which is Home Depot's affiliate company. The customer service representative said the delivery date shows tomorrow, and I should recieve a pre-recorded phone call sometime between 4pm-8pm. I never received a phone call... I will have to call Cascadia tomorrow and find out if the fridge is coming. I would be careful to make purchases from Home Depot in the future. *update* The fridge came, it doesn't fit. Called Home Depot and a representative said "it's more of a you problem than theirs"... he took my message to pass on to someone...

I’ve called Home Depot all day and guess what good luck getting the right department or even a pick up from your call hold !! NEVER NEVER WILL I EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT AGAIN!!! On top of it all the delivery guys said the washer and dryer weren’t disconnected when they were!! I believe they are lazy and didn’t want to do the job in the first place I’ve never seen such piss poor customer service EVER !! I mean who buys a dishwasher and pays for delivery and installation and is left with a dishwasher sitting in the middle of there kitchen not connected ...... I asked him if they sell vaccum hoses that are not prepackaged from a manufacturer (I was pointing specifically at the Rigid brand). He says they don't sell vaccum hoses and said to try Home Sense. Get real, Home Sense a liquidation store? I said to him Home Sense for vaccum hoses? He confirmed his silly answer and said "yes". He clearly was not interested in helping me. I walked though the isles and guess what I found? Vaccum hoses sold by the foot. I never get good service at Home Depot. Not sure how they train or hire but clearly it is not working. If you are looking for tools I would suggest Summit Tools in Burnaby and Coquitlam. Great prices, selection and helpful staff.

Hours are good. Quality of paint is excellent. They have stock on most things that I need. Prices are usually OK. No problem if you have to return something. Not much to complain about here except it's pretty much a self serve place. The Husky line of tools is sort of garbage like but works sort of good enough. The inside employees have a tendency to ignore their clients, so don't expect anyone to come over and say "Can I help you?" During the summer, I personally have found their garden dept and the outdoor garden staff to be just excellent.

Arrived today in the middle of the day (a week day), so the store was not very busy. There was no one to be seen at the paint counter. After waiting around for 10 minutes, asked a cashier if anyone was working at the paint desk. They said they'd look for them. Another few minutes pass, so I ask again. Another cashier radios for the person working paint and I could hear there was no response. A few more minutes pass, and they continue calling on the radio, still no answer. A lineup starts to form. Eventually, a young woman very slowly comes to the counter. No explanations, no apologies. By then I had been waiting 20 minutes and was running out of time, knowing I'll now have to wait for the paint to mix too - I almost left. The people behind me were obviously frustrated as well. I feel like I've had similar experiences a lot at Home Depot - there are so many people working and yet somehow it's hard to get anyone to help you. But this was the worst, at least in recent memory. Rude Customer Service: I went to the Paint department of this Home Depot at Park Royal on November 26th. I asked for a gallon of paint. The paint technician mixed me a tin of paint, but it came out too light. When I politely pointed this out, he replied abruptly, ‘This is exactly what you asked for! Excellent staff compared to few years ago. One major issue is the fact it us only a " Boutique" version, and do not carry the product lines of a regular Home Depot. Nicely kept and well organised Home Depot in Park Royal South. Lots of parking around the back and while it is smaller than the average Home Depot due to location there is a plentiful selection there and it is well staffed. We got keys cut here and it was done quickly and both keys worked great. There's an upper floor with more renovation and kitchen and bathroom materials and fixtures so a great place to go for small home renovations and tools.
