You have the opinions of people who are using the services and products of Safeway Prince Rupert (Bowling Alley) in the territory close to Prince Rupert (Canada).
Right now the business has a rating of 4.2 stars over 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an reviews average is positive, and it is based on a high number of opinions, so we can be quite sure that the valuation is quite credible. If people have bothered to leave their score when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Bowling Alley is classified in the category of Grocery store.
I enjoy shopping here because it's never busy so I'm not always trying to avoid shopping carts to get around. It's a small location but the selection is good and they carry a lot of international brands, It's quite pricey but I shop here out of convenience when I'm in the area Staff are always very helpful and friendly and the customer washroom is always clean. l'd give it all five stars if the prices were even mildly comparable to other chains
It's very close to the "Crest" hotel and has a good selection of everyday needs at the pharmacy or food aisle.
Good grocery shopping. Available washroom but no self checkout available.
They are couple amazing staff members like Jackie and Mary. Pharmacy has good reputation, they know me well and I like that service,.. I hear no there so much, I had a guy here try to tell there was no difference between yellow green and yellow peppers, I asked if he meant variety,,(same variety different ri ppening stages).he argued that they had same sugar levels etc. .. it to much what you see is what you get attitude. Ironically they are the largest sqaurefootage bit they repeat this facings and don't seem to care if tag is wrong
Picked up what we needed for our Haida Gwaii trip. very busy store. Starbucks area could do with a refresh.
Pleasant day shopping.
Love shopping at safeway its open late and has great produce. Customer service is nice and welcoming. Had one incident and they were great the handled it very quick and made sure everything was fine before i left.
Nice supermarket with great selection of items from produce to many most other Safeway carry in big cities.
Always have what I'm looking for, awesome customer service
It's nice
One of the busier Safeway locations I've been to. Customer service and cleanliness is hurt by this, spoke to an employee who felt very disrespected from both employer and customers in general. Sad to hear, these positions are often filled by young workers and is their first experience in the work force
They had no fruit, vegetables, meats, chicken.....! Had to resort to Save on, they had all I needed.
My fave grocery store! Sorry, i look elsewhere for some items but mains are from Safeway.
Took my husband to Safeway for a flu shot. He has a mobility problem and couldn't make it to the pharmacy. so I went in and asked if they could come out to the parking lot to give him a flu shot. And they did. Thank you so much for the staff at Safeway for going out of their way to help us out.
the store was out of stock on many basic items
I have seen cleaner safe Injection sites.
There can be a really good prices in this place especially when there is sales.
Some of the staff can be surly at times ruins the store for the good people working there shame they can't be friendlier . Would it Kill you to be nice ?
Clean store with friendly service. Has good variety but sometimes gets low on a lot of fresh stuff. Also gets busy sometimes and it gets longer when some cashiers start chatting with people. High prices and lots of expired/over ripped vegetables/fruits so keep an eye out for that.
It's practically the 2nd main place to do grocery shopping besides save on foods for here in Prince Rupert
Great store full of everything one needs for either day to day groceries, fishing trips or camping.
There was a variety of fresh fruits. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are normal for the area..
Good coffee shop down by the water
Very friendly staff, very clean store, well laid out for covid protections, always has what I want
Very friendly staff and they really packed the store well enough with products.
Great store little bit of wait for cashier but store is spotless with many options for lunch
I love their produce its always fresh. Love their pharmacy. Quick and efficent if you call ahead of time. I love Safeways friendly cashiers. And Customer Service is very helpful.
hey safeway, does jericho work there?
Good for groceries and they will even box it for you.
Staffs are friendly, the lady in the front who sanitized those baskets are very careful before she give it to me with smile on her face. Good service.
Well stocked store and if you look around you can find some good prices
Good quality store, fair prices. Very friendly, helpful staff. Fresh quality produce and meat.
Free wifi . Just did some shopping while on our road trip. Seemed good.
It's a typical grocery store. A little on the low rent side due to being in the poor side of town.
Typical Safeway. Clean, good selection and friendly service. We bought deli sandwiches and side dishes for a picnic and were quite pleased.
Service great. No rice milk on shelves.
Come on Safeway you can do much better at times of crisis put limits on items you obviously know will sell fast and open store at least 1 hour just for seniors and disabled people...
Updated store with helpful staff and doesn't charge for plastic bags if you forgot yours. Prices are pretty good, tto, especially sales.
Within walking distance from my place and I like the selection of fresh vegetables and produce carried here
Not one of my favorite places to shop. Just dont feel welcome here.
Good place for semi driver to restock truck fridge
Helpful staff. Got me a loaf of bread . Hot,out of the bakery
I always get stuck behind on of the chatty cashiers gaggle while they're catching up on her gossip...so she goes EXTRA slow to rong things through ????
Having traveled for work to various locations throughout the province. I have visited a great number of Safeway stores. That being said I can confidentiality say this location is one of the better ones.
Perfect stop for prepared picnic lunch.
Lots of selection. But could use more gluten free meat alternatives.
I love the service given by the whole Rupert crew. I only shop here!!!
The prices are through the roof! The staff are friendly and always helpful. Since this is such a small community the price is consistently higher than other similar small places. Commodities such as milk bread and eggs seems to be at least a dollar more than other communities. They will tell you that this is because we are so far north and they have to ship it. This is a complete miss truth. The cost to ship between Terrace to Prince Rupert is trivial to a large Diesel truck with a fuel cost of no more than 40 dollars in price. Plus the driver's wages $25 and even maintenance on the truck at a high price of $50 per trip. That $115 dollars spread out across the entire load. Plus the wages of a individual to receive the load at $20, then staff who are paid extremely low wages south of $20 per hour. Does not equate to an $1+ on milk or eggs. Bananas do seem to be priced reasonably averaging .77. I am tired of being told our unreasonable pricing is due to shipping/internet shopping. This is purely because the companies know we need these items and they therefore set the prices high. Sobeys and Safeway tend to do this country wide and as much as I love this Canadian Company, I have a hard time supporting price gouging. It's time for a NoFrills or a full size Walmart Supercenter.
Good service, very helpful and friendly.
Great group of people working there, friendly staff and good service.
Awesome friendly staff great attitude awesome sales
We placed an order for delivery to our evening ferry, they brought them down, but 3 hours early, gates were locked and no one down there, we had to get someone to pick them up.....delivery guy sounded angry when he phoned also
Good selection of groceries and fair prices
very friendly staff. clean store.overall I good place to get almost anything u need
Good choice of foods available at this Superstore. One can even call it a big Grocery Store and the choice of raw fresh fruits and vegetables was better here than at the Walmart Store of Prince Rupert. There are some snack and bakery stalls within the store where one can buy ready to eat stuff and have it there itself. The staff are friendly and do a quick job of the billing. We were saved the trouble of eating out at a restaurant every time, as we had a kitchen and fridge at the hostel where we stayed.
Always great service at this location, smile and always friendly service
Good service and knowledgeable staff! And they box it!! Great when you are from the islands and need groceries! ????
Very good place to shop, great deals,Good Deli, good bakery, produce, fruits and meats.
Going back tomorrow so much better than British Safeway ????
Very good excellent service
The clerk was very helpful I got what I needed and had some friendly help
l love traveling to this place e they super good
It is just like any other Safeway. It could would be nice if they have there own gas pumps and liqueur store.
I bought dish soap & the cashier put them in with the vegetable. When i got home the soap top was open & the bag & vegetable were covered in soap. Not impressed. Paddy
Everyone is so helpful.
Expensive. Overcooked dried out fries. Very, very small piece of deep fried halibut. Very pleasant servers. Would not send visitors there. This review was for Dolly's restaurant and fish store, not the Safeway grocery store!!!
Friendly,fast service
Decent store. Great selection of goods. Lots of parking
The man at the fish counter was helpful in helping me find a fish for fish n chips. And the Sikh man at the checkout counter was very friendly!
I always end up with the same crabby cahier who holds up the line to talk to her friends.
Good old Safeway
Friendly staff, excellent produce, good gluten free selection
Nice place to shop for groceries and reasonable prices
Out of all the Safeways I have been in Prince Rupert is the most friendly but ever since they've been taken over the quality and selection has dwindled. That's what happens when a company from the other side of the continent takes over. The bakery is sub par. The hamburger buns and hotdog buns are too small to put meat in it. The birthday cake I bought was swimming in whip cream. The cake fell apart. One loaf of French bread could feed my family of 8 and guests now it's half the size. Can't buy favourite brands anymore. They've all been replaced by a new no name brand that is terrible. We live in B.C. but we hardly see very much produce from B.C. why are we getting Apple's from Chilli and Australia? Is b.c. sending our fruit to them what a waist of food and energy. With just 2 grocery stores in town we are being held hostage. I saw all the business men in their suits walking around the store after the take over. Making the store use cheaper packaging and smaller portions for 2wice the price. It's depressing and sad. Really sad. It used to be our friendly neighborhood store. Now it's run by an organization who doesn't give a damn. It's all about the bottom line. Customers want quality for our money.
Well stocked easy to walk to fro docks
super clean during Covid19 impressed with all staff
It's a good supermarket, they have good deals in the flier every week. ????
Great produce department, always stocked and looking very nice with fresh produce. Meat department shelves are almost always half empty, same with the bakery. Not much to choose from on weekends if you aren't there really early in the day.
Very reasonable selection of food and other items.
Nice store. Wonderful customer service. Produce isle need more variety.
Amazing customer service everytime
The deli section for hot foods is always closed too early in the evening and not fully ready in the morning upon opening. Bakery selection limited and forever the same products.
Price is decent,I may say.
I, lose, my keys. I, said oh! My my keys. When I, heard. Some one, have been losing, the keys? Exactly when I, found out. The Í, didn't have, my keys. The lady, with a big, big. Smile. Came, to me. And told me. Some customer, found by the hot food area. I'm, so glad. And happy. For that.
the staff both new and senior continue to be excellent but since Sobeys took over the product lines have really declined. sub par bakery, produce from all over not BC. and meat department that just isnt the same.
Good store have everything that person would want very Central located which is awesome close to the docks the marina and all those things
The girls in the hot food section are rude and are usually chatting and not paying attention to customers.
great service and also very helpful staff when you can't find anything in the store.
Good place to shop busy store
Good food choices and great staff. Like that there's a dedicated staff to sanitize carts and such.
Thankyou to the ladys working in floral department!! Every year a call to have flowers delivered to family. And each year the ladys are friendly and super nice to deal with .
Certain shoppers had no masks. That concerned me. As well some people are unable to follow the arrows on the floor. I appreciate that the staff were wearing masked.
Jackie..our check out teller was as awesome as usual..nice to see friendly and happy people.. always smiling..nice????????????
My meal is always delicious. She remembers what I usually order. Excellent place to dine.
Not the same anymore since Sobey's purchase. Carrying their own brand and I am not impressed. Additionally they have scaled back their Air Miles program by 80%. However the senior staff are still fabulous!
Never out of stock and there is a cashier always available! No long line ups ! Always excellent service!
A little expensive. airmiles friendly. starbucks with good service inside and good variety of groceries
Staff are extremely friendly. Would like to thank Damien specifically for his kindness and hard work!
PRICE GOUGING FOR BOTTLED WATER - Price doubled when Rupert went under a boil water advisory. How shameful to try to make a quick buck off of people in a bad situation. Grocery shop at one of the other stores that won't throw our town under a bus to make a few extra dollars.
Nice store. Lots of selection.
