We've got all the information of real people like you who use the products of RA Centre (Bowling Alley) around Ottawa area (Canada).
At this moment this business has a score of 4.1 out of 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is very positive, and it's based on a very large number of opinions, so we can conclude that the valuation is very faithful. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give opinions when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Bowling Alley is classified in the category of Recreation center.
Large space good for conventions but no air conditioning so it gets hot in the summer
The building is getting old but it is, by far, the best place for badminton in Ottawa.
Great gym lost to do curling shotting range and so much more
So far so good.
Handgun range is a nice feature.
Really nice squash courts!
Great field for 7 a side. Good competition with the mens soccer7s league. Washrooms are kinda iffy because they're ports potties.
Fields are in ok condition but need more maintenance. Bleachers are starting to get in very bad shape.
The restaurant has great wings!
This place is fantastic. My granddaughter was playing soccer in the dome. It is huge a great place to play summer sports in winter.
Outdoor pool best place to be for summer.
Only place to play high level feather badminton in the city
Nice and warm there. Good sanwiches
Nice place to work out
Great place
Great rec complex
I love it. Great sports and recreation centre. There's a gym you can go to workout in. There is an indoor gun range. There is an archery club. There is a restaurant. There is so much to do. The staff are super friendly. The place can be a little confusing to navigate but the staff can always assist with that. There is also an indoor ice rink. There is a gymnasium. During the winter they have a sprung shelter on the grass for soccer and maybe some other sports. There is also a curling rink. I'm sure there is more that I have not discovered yet. Great place.
Very good badminton facility
Love playing on this turf. Great facility
The rink is super cold and the hockey dressing rooms never seem to be that clean
Great time at the archery range. Had it to ourselves and all the precautions for covid made us feel safe. Will be looking at getting a membership so spend more time there
One of the biggest community centres in Ottawa. Have to buy memberships for different clubs in order to participate in anything. Has everything from Skating rinks to bowling alley, archery, shooting range, badminton courts, swimming pool, curling arena and much more. Even has a bar and a restaurant. Plenty of parking space available. Memberships are a bit pricey but a good place to meet other enthusiasts. They also have their own leagues and tournaments which is great for anyone who likes a bit of competition in his/her sports.
It's not very pretty, but it's a handy place with lots of rooms to meet and learn.
Good central location and not very crowded.
Collesium program is amazing
Huge sports complex with a ton of different sports leagues and sports clubs on site. I play squash at the squash club here in Ottawa and the courts are great. It is in central location and thats key advantage for Ottawa. Also they have a onsite bar/restaurant for post game socializing which is great because you dont have go somewhere else. Prices are reasonable at the restuarant/pub and also for membership.
Big parking lots.
This place is disgusting
Been there few times... I like it... I just be a bit more organized.
The hockey side toilet area needs a great sanitation maintenance
Badminton yes!
Tiny field
Good place....but needs renovations
Very friendly staff, Scott at the membership desk was super helpful
This place is huge. Research where you want to go inside to park at the right end (east or west block)! :)
Ice was surprising well during a warm time.
Racquet clubs are pretty good. 7 squash courts and probably the best squash community in Ottawa. Lots of tournaments year round including a city league and three year round leagues. Staff at the front desk is pretty nice and dilligent. Locker rooms could use a revamp.
Love the pool!
With 6 sheets of ice and many daytime and evening leagues, the RA Curling Club has a place for you. Their Learn-to-curl programs provide all the training you need to become a competent curler.
Beautiful location in the city lots of space
I forgot going here
The RA reminds me of my childhood. Such a great facility.
Currently where I play hockey; the ice surface is always well kept, and the change rooms / showers are in good shape.
Very cool place lots of activities one can take part in
I've only ever curled or played ball hockey here, so take the review for whatever that's worth to you. The change room area is nice and secure, the facilities for athletics are good but the canteen / bar offerings are lackluster. This club is used to host curling bonspiels and they don't keep a great selection (seems to be only Molson products on tap), and the price is on the higher compare with other clubs I've been to.
??? Have NOT been near the RA centre in years!!
Amazing softball league
There is such a variety of different sports and recreation programs to try! A great place to learn new skills.
hockey, archery, bowling, rifle range ????????
The parking lot is dirty. And the indoor plants are often under-watered. Since I'm on the topic of problems, the toilette on the right in the East men's changeroom is leaking and has been for months. And only one of the two heating elements in the heater in the sauna in the central men's changeroom is working. The basement hallways are dank and make me want to curl up in a dark corner and listen to Tom Waits music. Oh ... and one more thing. There is a big field in front of it. In the summer, there can be hundreds of geese milling about, crapping all over the place. Disghusting!!! Right!? Who wants that? Nobody! How about creating a Turkey Hunting Club?
Brest place
(Translated) Good rest bar. (Original) Good resto bar.
The RA Center is quite a complete facility for sports and leisure. Its prices are very reasonable. Up until a few weeks ago (Dec 2017) I would have given a 5 stars. However I am encountering unpleasant experiences with the gym (Lifefit). Music is being played at such a volume on the loudspeakers that it is difficult to listen to my own device. I wrote about it and not only the annoyance wasn't removed, but I didn't even get the courtesy of an acknowledgement, let alone a reply. I am editing the review (09 Jan 2017). After writing via the RA Facebook page, I managed to get a reply and finally, after some back and forth exchanges, the loud music problem solved.
this is an affordable place and lots of athletics options. however it needs renovations and updating. place is crumbling and dirty. roof is leaking. washrooms are terrible. Cafe is straight from 80s..
Have played in a baseball league there and rented the court. Very convenient location, reasonable cost.
Have been here for many many different events. The various rooms are comfortable and very accessible. The biggest negative is their lack of quality wifi if you even get access to it.
One of the cornerstones of the community. Good sports facilities and day camp programs during the summertime.
Events center and swimming pool area
Getting old
Nice and cool event center
You go here to play sports, what else do you need to know.
The 7's fields are constantly in use and are very well maintained.
Its totally wheelchair friendly and the staff is always very helpful too. And the craft sale is awesome and it's a very clean and beautiful place too.
All possible sports, a lot of them: all seasons. Conveniently located: minutes from Downtown. Huge free parking. Four starts for a bit worn out facilities and waiting lists.
A great family recreation centre with lots of different clubs. Inexpensive membership compared to most places although the facilities are a bit dated. Offers lots of camps for kids during school breaks and summer. Great free learn to curl session during family day. Lots of parking but the parking lot could use a bit of work to fill in the pot holes. Outdoor swimming pool is nice but a bit cooler unless on the really hot days. Great restaurant for breakfast as well.
Outdoor volley ball courts are great and the washrooms are close by in the areana.
They have a ton of activities there. Some you don't even think we're available in Ottawa like archery. There are tons of facilities including a skating rink. They even have a cozy bar in the middle. Great for community gatherings too!
Had some fun in the sun at the outdoor pool!
Lots to do good for everyone who is active
Took my firearm courses there, great place the instructors are very patient and the experience was awesome.
Great place
A wide variety of sports including an indoor gun range.
Lots of sports and activities
Amazing place for swimming, but the staff always tries to make excuses to close the pool early so that lifeguards can go home. (Ex, if a kid pisses in the pool, everyone has to leave without a refund or a sound of a plane misinterpreted to be thunder even though the sky is blue)
Attended a meeting here.
Great venue.
The RA is one of the best squash and badminton clubs in the city. The facility is in desperate need of a refresh, but asides from looks, it has a strong membership and there's good value for money.
I really enjoyed the olympic archery course I took here. The facility was nice and the instructors were excellent.
The legs are kind of expensive for what they are gravel field is terrifying to play on they could do some updates on the rainout line was told the game was on still and no umpire showed up
Poor management. Disorganized. Nice facility
Hockey, soccer, racket sports, curling, shooting range, restaurant... They've got everything! The RA Centre is an athlete's wet dream.
Went for the dog festival and it was amazing!! Great food trucks and lots of great stands to buy treats, leashes, sweaters, jackets, and collars. The water dishes were always full! Really easy to find the center too! Will definatley go next year!
(Translated) Beautiful indoor soccer surfaces. Excellent counter service by Frédéric. (Original) Belles surfaces de soccer intérieur. Excellent service au comptoir par Frédéric.
It's a place where you go to recreate.
Went here for the Vegan Festival.
Applies unsafe measures for practicing sports, that are not required by any public health organisation.
Great outdoor pool
John was very patient at their one-time ‘Try Archery’ and their COVID-19 protocols were enforced. Badminton was happening below us behind the green mesh, so it was loud and difficult to concentrate, but I still fun.
Great outdoors turf soccer fields.
Good Squash courts
Great place for curling!
Cant do anything at this facility unless you have both covid19 vaccine doses
Accommodating
The place to go, if you wanna try any sport.
I wrote my bar exam her. *chills*. Relatively easily accessible by OC Transpo.
Great place for kids for summer camp and recreational too
Pleasant dome for fencing and an amazing set of coaches inside.
Best badminton courts in Ottawa
Good dome for soccer
Great place for weddings, parties and meetings for up to 200+ people
Nice place
Great location, loads of activities and summer camps. Love the outdoor pool at the back.
Nice
Great variety of activities for health, fitness and just fun.
Great snow Hill!
Good quality soccer fields
Decent ice at the arena, but the structure is old and needs to be refurbished. Changing rooms are tiny for grown adults.
Best place to play handball in the region...the only place really. Friendly staff. Looks like they have a great badminton program.
Worst sports centre I’ve ever been too. Came in to their « drop-in » badminton hours. Wanted to check out the program and see the level of play before paying a full membership price. I was told I was not allowed to play unless a member let me in. If this is their policy they should consider removing free play or drop in from there vocabulary. Waste of time. Even after a person on the phone told me to come and just pay the guest fee for day. Paid a 15$ Uber to get there and another fee to get back home. This place is honestly a joke. Hope they get to train their employees to have consistency in messaging.
Considering the benfranklean it does not have any thing. To offer
great soccer fields!
Very good space for larger groups. They provide nice in house catering and excellent service. …
Great curling
Fabulous show. Great food.
nice place for events
The RA centre has been serving our community for over 60 years and deserves our support. If and when the opportunity presents itself, please help the RA centre to survive the pandemic and the post pandemic economic situation.
All fitness amenities under one roof.
Good facilities. Parking is decent.
It's an ok recreation centre, close to work, good pub, They have a tiny shooting range.
(Translated) I loved. Especially in the context of sports halls. And the bar a good place to eat with friends (Original) J'ai beaucoup aimé. Surtout le cadre des salles de sports. Et le bar un bon endroit pour manger entre amis
Eh
Great place to play squash
Dinner theatre went fairly well.
I did a fencing tournament here. It was pretty fun
Great sports leagues for adults
Comfortable place for a work function, friendly staff, good food.
Looking excellent with the look #1st
Mazelike but alot of activities available
Went for a swim wife had hip replacement very awkward to get in no Wheel chair or Walker access support no ramps to access pool area when I asked why I was told by the staff you call or tell us and we will provide one( nonsense) then when I pressed the issue I was again told 2 things one it is a old place nonsense 2 the ramps are not weather protected (nonsense.) Here is my issue all pools no exception have to have access for people whom use mobility transport vehicles that includes all pools in Ottawa indoor or outdoor that if not it is a code violation
My daughter is a winning soccer goalie!!!!!!
Much improved since my childhood. Workout and conference rooms facilities expanded
Ice is brutal
The RA Centre is a really nice facility! I didn't walk around the entire place, but did play in a pickleball tournament there so this rating is primarily for the court area. …
Not good...I am a member of the RA and the other day (2019/05 /6) I had bought a 1/2 dozen donuts to give to the front office at the East Wing just across from the Booking Desk! Well, there were about 4 or 5 people in there and I stood out side the glass door showing the donuts I had! They all saw me but completely ignored me...making me feel like a complete idiot for trying to be nice.....and, if it was because they did not want a sweet, sugar filled donuts or were having a meeting, then, someone could have had the courtesy to get up and say so....but to ignore me and essentially say "get lost" did not really show how a 68 year old member of 25 years, or more should be treated! I guess respect and decency has gone out the window, these days, at the RA!!
Huge place!!!
my daughter had swimming lessons there.. she really enjoyed it. We are thinking on sending her for more swimming lessons
Update: It’s 2019 and no membership renewal notice. Nobody answers the phone or responds to voicemails to pay by credit card. It's 2018 and still no online membership renewal option. Calling to renew with a credit card means you have to leave a voice mail (they never answer the phone) and wait for call back (PS - they don’t call you back). Alternative is to mail a cheque and hope they process it.
Awesome competitive league and wonderful management
Nice place
Big space
Good place for exercising
Free parking, lots of activities
Great fencing club for all ages and experience levels
Great place for sport activities.
Great pool
Awesome!
Was there for the veg fest and it was very well organized as well as available parking
Lots of things to do here !
Vaccination proof (with photo id) is must for admission
Great spot to hold a softball tournament!!
Fantastic venue for all sorts of activities, camps, sports etc. Took part in the Curling Clubs Family day intro to curling and it was terrific. Hit the Fieldhouse for a snack afterward. Great place for family fun.
It was very exciting experience, I played badminton there and it was amazing ????????????
I have been going to the RA Centre since I was a kid. The staff have been/are welcoming and helpful :) I would definitley recommed this place to everyone They have so many recreation activities to choose from. Activities I have participated in: KinderCamp, swimming lessons, worked as a CIT at the camps; bowling, soccer, softball, curling, LifeFIT Centre, fitness classes, Corporate events, & SUNDeck BBQs. The RA Centre is a great place!
They have a lot of great stuff at the ra center, but they need to have grass on the main soccer fields. There are also potholes in among the weeds on the fields making it a hazard.
Poorly maintained. Needs many repairs and upgrades. The archery club has had leaks running down walls and from the ceiling. It has had buckets in the center of the club for years. It also wouldn't surprise me if all that water over the years has mold growing in the walls and ceiling.
My kids are really loving their summer camps here. Great staff.
I walked on voted and left. I'm 72 and that's the only time I've entered the building
(Translated) Recreational center with various activities. (Original) Centre récréatif aux activités variées.
Its a very nice sports complex - only issue is getting a court to play badminton...
The staff was not friendly. We had booked the court for 8pm,the staff saw us but refused to open the door. No system. It was disappointing
Great deals on food on the outside patio bar. Grass fields were in pretty poor shape as though someone hasn't been watering them regularly. The turf fields are much more enjoyable to play on. There is also a dome that goes up over the turf in the winter to allow for play all year round.
Great ice time and good hockey facilities for pick up hockey
Great place to play soccer
From meeting rooms to gyms to curling to restaurant this place has lots of activities. Free parking.
Great food, great atmosphere but consistently understaffed for lunch hour rush. Poor waitress works for her tips. I believe we can all benefit from more staff.
I enjoy events where parking is included. There needs to be a billboard with upcoming events. I live near by and never have any clue what is going there.
Lots to see and do
Great gun club
Best badminton Courts in Ottawa
Breakfast was preety good, bacon was cooked just the way I like it. There was only one waitress there so service was pretty slow.
Attended International Women's Day luncheon at the banquet hall
good multi use centre.
Regularly gage breakfast at the Fieldhouse restaurant. Excellent spot for a quiet breakfast.
Must visit
Veg fest!
Nice place
Good facilities. Great course.
We were there for a Memorial Service. Did not use any equipment or sports facilities. Only complaint is lack of signage inside and outside.
Really fun recreation centre. Had a great time during a community event along with really good food during a BBQ. Also played some Volleyball, as there were quite a few playing fields for them.
Ice is good. However, the dressing rooms are quite small and moldy. The showers are terrible. Sometimes there is hardly any hot water.
Amazing Badminton facilities
Great sports bar / pub in an excellent sports facility
This is where you play footy!
Solid rec facility. I play in a softball league here (there is outdoor soccer too)... indoor there is almost everything from curling to archery
Noice
Employer subsidized ($38/mth) gym membership which suits my needs well. I've played on the volleyball courts and the baseball diamond and they are good enough. Bar has good deals on food and beer for après jeux. Location is a bit awkward for me, but for the price I pay, I can't complain. Rather old building and dated, but clean facilities.
The outdoor fields are poorly maintained considering the fees you pay for the leagues. If your team is playing on turf you're lucky
Great ice, good location, cold beer upstairs!
Great spot to wander in any day and find something interesting
My fav ice surface at the RA Centre
Best day camp experience my daughter has ever had. They also have great swimming instructors.
Meeting rooms available.
Was there for a meeting, it's OK.
Really nice dome to play soccer in the winter. They've changed the lighting which is now hanging through the whole dome and gives the players really good light. The place is not overheated so the players can give their best . Visitors can watch a game in their coat being comfortable enough.
(Translated) A bit far away. (Original) Un peu eloigné.
Good venue. Came for the orchid show and had a good time.
There's a lot of activities to do there fun place
Nice
Good
Good facilities!
Lots of activities here
The membership is expensive and the facilities are ok. Locker rooms are sometimes a little bit dirty.
Not as good as used to be back to esrly 80.
This place has everything for the sporting enthusiast. From Hockey to Archery the RA is Ottawa premier athletic facility.
Great venue for a wedding All the staff from planning to decorations were amazing they were the most affordable venue for a wedding and everything was amazing the food was incredible. It was the best wedding we could dream of having
It's nice, everything is great.
I was there for an international curling tournament and the curling facilities were great but as a wheelchair user they only had a very small elevator to accommodate us to the restaurant.
(Translated) Diverse sport offering, affordable price, bar type food. (Original) Boucoup de sport diversifié, prix abordable, nourriture de type bar.
I attended a fencing tournament, a first for me.
RA centre has the oldest Badminton club in Ottawa. It also the best badminton play field. High celling, Green wall and use feather shuttles as well. You will find the all fun players in this club. If you interested, you could tried it out on Tuesday and Thursday night. Ask the east wing help desk.
Parking is a zoo here, even at noon on a Wednesday! The rink itself is a bit cold and the dressing rooms are small and poorly laid out.
Good beer and wings.
Beautiful and friendly
Decent ice, bar food is not bad for the price
A real community hub for courses and sports and a restaurant or beer call there after
Great place to play squash. I haven’t tried too many of their facilities but it’s really convenient to book online and there’s almost no friction when you enter. Just go straight to the front desk and confirm you’re there, nothing else to do. The prices are a bit steep for squash, but there aren’t many options right now anyways.
all you want in a recreation entre and more
The Fieldhouse has an alright menu. The service is quick and there are some pretty good activities available
Indoor RC flying at the RA Centre.
Visited the sport organization centre. Very confusing not much signage. Could not talk directly to staff of the sport organization I was visiting. Had to have someone go and bring the person down to reception. A simple transaction of paying for a seminar took over half an hour.
Nice place to play badminton.
Only been to the front lawn for a dog show but staff of the RA were quite helpful and very friendly
Nice place
Sports and recreation Mecca
My regular place Friday morning for a great coffee.
This is one of the only spots in Ottawa that offer a fencing program.
This is a two star to this poutine with sausage. I did not ingest one of them. We could not identify this type of meat.
Nice. The pool is very busy though.
They had an open house today. I took my kids and they loved it. Glow in the dark dodgeball, glow in the dark ice skating, badminton, basketball, swimming. They have many different clubs, chess, archery, squash, judo. Great place!
some snacks to buy would be good
Showers and dressing room are very toxic and dirty.
Great curling rink.
My daughter (7 yo) just loved the summer camp. Thank to everyone involved.
(Translated) Old-fashioned place (Original) Endroit vieillot
Best outdoor pool in Ottawa
Free parking, easy access and multiple amenities.
It does what you expect /as advertised.
Good fscility - only difficulty is to get a court booking
Good facilities and maintenance. The roads/parking could be maintained a bit better.
Only using the dome for soccer purposes. Not sure all-out the center itself.
Love to work out at this centre , got all the stuff I require, great facilities.
Excellent
Great camps!
Rather go work out at fitness center
Played soccer here for a little while. Never. Ever. Again! One star is orders of magnitude more than they deserve (which is a big fat goose egg). The service has steadily but surely declined over the years. The dome is becoming a real eyesore, there are no changing facilities (there are a couple of porta poties outside but these are run down, but have fun using them in the winter, there's only one stall for each gender). The management is terrible, constant double booking, with no compensation. A bunch of amateurs. Honestly, why has the City even let such a beautiful part of the City get taken over by this eye sore of a dome that obstructs the Rideau River, poor City planning here as well. There should have been a park or something here. And don't get me started on the refereeing at this place. These guys think they are reffing the champions league final but get every call wrong. And are arrogant about it too. Really frustrating and really hard to get a flow going in a game. I would highly recommend that the City avoid these clowns and go to any other dome in the City (Ottawa U Lees, Ben Franklin, Louis Riel...any place but here). You will be thoroughly disappointed if you play here. There's also zero maintenance on the RA building, just a run down building with a run down parking lot. If you're not a regular you will be treated like garbage. Pretty sure there's some preferential treatment/racism happening in the background. Sign up here at your own risk. You were warned. Put these guys out of business for the way they treat the public honestly. Who's with me? Anyway - that's my two cents on this place. Feel free to disagree, but you won't be seeing me or my crew there again. Huge risk of injury dealing with unqualified refs calling games nonsensically. It's just not fun here. Just a bunch of clowns.
Big open space to hold a quilt show, but cold for those working it. Great restaurant on site
Fantastic sports center. Soccer fields. Baseball leagues. Hockey rinks. Gym and an outside pool in the summer.
Loving the brand new Café! It's so great to have somewhere close to get a good coffee! Delicious, locally-roasted coffees and espresso, and yummy soups, snacks and sandwiches.
Great outdoor pool
The tournament they are organizing is very bad. The grass is very bad has lot of pumps.
Good complex. Not overly expensive
Great service
Good field
Surprisingly, a great place for trade shows.
I love this place
Needs a reno
I had a Youth Employment course by YSB here, I really liked the location. The RA center is a really big place, nice and clean too.
Great place and perfect location
Attended a dinner theater...very well choreographed...excellent dinner (beef, poultry, & fish). All in all a good RA experience.
Great place!
No water fountain and nets r double rimmed, was otherwise great
Great Place for the kids to play soccer
Good facility
Great facility for active peope
I went to the Ottawa Orchid show here. It was great. The only thing I found wrong was that the building is not completely wheelchair-accessible.
The centre has a wealth of programming, lots of free parking and a very good coffee shop serving the best grilled cheese in Ottawa. Fully accessible.
All the racket sports are there. A good venue for racketlon. Too bad they don't have tennis courts anymore.
Big rink, clean, friendly staff and a great hockey atmosphere. Could use some renovations on the outdated stands
It was great
Rink is a little run down. Decent complex otherwise
Amazing family place for all ranges of sports.
Fencing program is great
Lots of game here, come and play
Has great summer camps for kids and easily accessible to public transit.
Multi purpose municipal complex.
Parking for the dome is very tight but just across the way is a large open lot. Easier to walk across the small road.
Good
Unfortunately it was closed. Open date September 01.
Went to see Canada Eh! Great production. The actors, who are also your servers, do a fantastic job.
Great staff
good place
Nice facility
Great squash facility with free and easy parking available making this a a very easy choice to visit again and again. Per use fees are also very reasonable.
Coooood
Holes are too large at home plate, so hard to get a good footing when you bat.
The field is pretty good. It is fairly cold in the winter and it would be nicer if the office/bathrooms were attached to the dome.
Great wings.
Good sports facility. In the winter they put of a dome over the soccer pitch which is great but they don't really heat it very well (compared to other domes in the city).
All you can play and do here....Ray slices and dices with billings bridge mall close full equipped with walmart and food court micky dease
best badminton courts in the city
Confusing layout. Make sure to arrive early so that you can find your way around.
I was invited for a friend's wedding, the place was so beatiful and the food were so great. Two thumbs up.
I utilize the Dome more than the facility itself, but our kids go to camp here almost every summer and it offers a ton of choices. The kids usually have a fun time too.
We love our squash club in Ottawa. We have played at the RA Centre for many years now. We have really well run leagues, a junior program, special club events, and a great spot to get together after matches upstairs for drinks and wings. The best thing about it though, is the squash community itself. It is friendly, inclusive and welcoming. We also have the nicest courts in town!
Had a ball tourney here the other weekend. Great place to play with 4 diamonds all right there for you. Everything here seems to be a bit more expensive than other places but it's massive and has everything so I can see why. Location is great. Bar is good too for post-tourney (or mid tourney) beers and food.
Messy
Exclusive but a very nice facility
Great facilities, and fantastic restaurant!
Clean and friendly
Great service. The food is good
Brings Shriner circus which is an event-full of tortured animals and a majorly abused elephant
Every 2nd year the Ottawa Orchid show will take place in here!
This is probably the largest rec centre in the city. Seems to have a bit of everything.
Only using pool. Nice place. Pool would be great if it was not crumbling and rather dirty...
I curl at the R.A. Centre. As a wheelchair user, I am very disappointed with the decision to erect a large dome structure right at the main door! It has rendered it inaccessible and caused confusion for anyone coming to the facility by Para Transpo. Other than this (big) issue, the facility is excellent.
Soccer game
Great centre to play sports at. Free parking. Great beach volleyball courts. Easily accessible by bike.
Awful experience with their summer day camp. We enrolled my 10 year old niece here for most of the summer. For a couple of weeks now she was experiencing bullying from some of the children in the camp (name calling, being left out of games, …
Decent venue. Volleyball courts don't have quite enough sand. Some umpires don't let you play music on baseball diamonds.
Great offerings of programs.
Great summer camps. Awesome staff well organized
Good place with lots of facilities but the timings are so difficult for some one works regular hours
Good
Needs an extreme make over
Used to be a great place but they are letting it fall apart. Bathrooms are dirty, food is pricey
Great people but the facility is very outdated. The city should invest more into recreational buildings and services for our community.
Dressing room facilities for the rink are the worst in the city.
Love the judo and squash!
They double booked us and kicked us out and didnt give us a refund. Very bad and unorganized managment. The door is broken upstairs and cold air is coming in. I dont recommend making any bookings here.
Great place. With so many activities and clubs. Nice gym. Yoga studios and much more. Great value for a gym or center. Check it out. Parking is fsr but manageable.
Huge sports complex . Very good sports facilities. Showers could use some updating and better maintenance
Little older but still offers loads
Nice big rink, rooms are big enough, showers are a bit tight
Membership is a bit more pricey then other "standard"gym but the RA Centre has everything from dedicated badminton courts, to it own arena, outdoor dome, shooting range, bowling alley, ballet studio. You name it I am sure they have it. And really friendly and helpful staff.
Indoor soccer
(Translated) Professional venue (Original) 专业场地
The RA Centre is a multifunction centre for so many kinds of sports and recreation activities. It is very well managed, staff are professional and helpful. For those looking for rental space for large groups such as conferences and weddings this aught to be on your list to check out. It is relatively centrally located and is easilly accessible plus the bonus of free parking is nice.
Ample parking good view and atmosphere
Awesome wing's
Paid 40 $ to be in a softball league, the fields literally don't even have grass... How that isn't a safety hazard is beyond me...
We went for a swim at the outdoor pool. The kids had a great time. There are 2 pools, one is a shallow pool. It was nice and clean too!
Great place with so many activities for all ages!
Great rink...ice is usually good but showers are iffy for warm water
Nice Arena for pick up hockey
The most central and one of the best indoor pickleball facilities in Ottawa.
It’s always a good place. Reason for the 4 star is we need a cooler or a vending machine in there
RA Centre is a great squash hub in Ottawa. Plenty of squash members at all levels combined with plenty of organized squash activities and / or ad-hoc squash activities. Hosts one of the biggest squash tourneys in the Ottawa area every year, usually during the last weekend of January.
Great squash club
Very dated facility.
This place is great for the fit minded.
Great Location in the city

Great photography studio!
Nice facility but outside is run over by goose now
Lots going on to keep my grandson busy (14 mths). He seems to like the beach volleyball best. Excellent facilities from what I've seen.
