We played volleyball at the OTLBC and loved it. Wednesday nights were our favorite night of the weeks during the summer. The bar upstairs can be slow but with the boom of the OSSC at the OTLBC it's understandable, hopefully they increase staff numbers on Volleyball nights otherwise they will lose their client base to another local business.

The bar here consistently forgets orders, takes too long even just for drinks and always makes mistakes on the bills. It has potential but too inconsistent for me.

The view and atmosphere on the patio is great. The servers are friendly and attentive, however they consistently run out of things. For example, cider (two occasions that I've been there).Also, they (server and kitchen staff) did not know what their veggie burger is made of either.

I’ve only been here to play volleyball. The club hosts a variety of sports like tennis, lawn bowling and volleyball. It is a older club that offers a membership. Parking is horrible- the only option is street parking so give yourself lots of time to get there.

Great for tennis and volleyball. They have a pool that is open during volleyball tournaments. The facility is dated but the staff is friendly. The change rooms and showers are clean. There is a full service restaurant upstairs.

The club is snooty and overpriced. The teenage staff are only ok. My old club had staff that would learn people's names and playing preferences. The courts are really roughed up, after 4pm from Monday to Friday (a function of being clay). With the volleyball crowds, most nights it's like trying to pass through an airport to get around. Not impressed at all with the atmosphere or people, and I was really looking forward to a busy, friendly atmosphere, which was the way it was described to me in the spring. The pub upstairs is kind of ghetto and dirty. The menu is like lousy pub food, but more expensive. Service is hit or miss, which often depends on how many volleyball teams are also ordering food and drinks. The bathrooms are sorely in need of renovation...and cleaning.

A relatively good location, but they redid the volleyball courts this year to squeeze a few more in, which has made stray balls an even bigger issue for the summer volleyball leagues. They seem to infrequently spray the courts down to keep dust at bay on hot days, or what they do isn't effective. A small investment in water lines and hoses would go a long way.

Great beach volleyball courts! Have only played there once, but solid wood posts are great, no droopy nets. The tennis courts and swimming pool looked really nice too.

I have just joined this year and already my experience has been really good. Amazing tennis courts, great staff. I just hope the patio can open soon once the government restrictions stop so I can enjoy a nice cold beer after a game of tennis.

There is a lot going on here, between tennis, beach volleyball, and the upstairs pub. All the facilities are very good, and the staff are exceptionally pleasant all around. The volleyball leagues are incredibly enjoyable (those are run by OSSC rather than the club.) No sign of lawn bowling these days, so I think it's the OTVBC now!

I go here for OSSC volleyball very cool and fun atmosphere. Only small issues I have are: -courts are somewhat smaller -if multiple games are going on a lot of sand dust is kicked up -the back end courts are in a weird location near the pool so if someone hits it over the fence for whatever reason you can't hop over the fence since there is barbed wire and you have to get a staff member to unlock the gate

Hidden gem in Ottawa. This summer tennis club was created in 1881 which is only 4 years older than Wimbledon. It has been at this location since 1921 on the bank of the Rideau River near Carleton University. Any tennis players should call to try to get a guest pass to play on the clay courts and the upstairs Cameron restaurant has an innovative pub-like selection of food and drinks which you can enjoy on the pleasant verandah overlooking the tennis courts. I've been a member for 22 year's so I'm biased but I love the place and I hope you do too.

Nice recreational facility. I played tennis there as a kid and the lawn bowling lanes have been replaced by beach volleyball courts - so it's pretty lively during the Summer weekday nights. There's a decent pub upstairs too, that's great …

Kids have fun but day camp counsellors are not organized. Children need time and encouragement to put on sunscreen and hats after swimming and no effort is made to do this. My daughter came home with a sunburn every day she was there. This is a basic requirement in this age group,and the first day camp I have sent my child to that ignores the importance of sunscreen.

Seems to be a well run organization. I go there to eat brunch upstairs. New menu and prices but still not a bad deal. Good food, good service. Tennis, swimming pool and volleyball courts for members. A casual atmosphere in the dining area.
