They have about 8 lanes If I remember correctly. The staff was all nice. The new bar that they just put in is nice, although it looks a lot different than the rest of the building. It's not blocked off or In a separate room, its wide open so you can just walk right on up. They have a good amount of beers on tap and the pizza is actually pretty solid.

my husband and I came here for the first time and right off the bat, we had many technical issues with the arcade games, bowling lane, and vending machine. I lost a dollar in the vending machine; a few arcade games were broken and wouldn’t register the card or turn on. Still had some fun though. The photo booth worked. We also ordered boneless wings which turned out really great. The biggest issue we had was the bowling lane. It would register the wrong pin count, not recycle the pins, pins would topple over after recycling, bowling balls not being returned until much later. And than on top of the malfunctions, we paid for the $20/hour, but that’s not even worth it after all the glitches we had. We were almost through our fourth game of bowling but our lane got shut down mid-bowl. wouldn’t even at least allow us to finish the game and pay extra. So stick with the $5/game; it’s not worth the $20/hr. Nonetheless, play at your own risk. We still enjoyed our time and had some fun. Just had to get past the issues.

It's a fun place to bowl, and the arcade is fun when it isn't too busy. The place is... clean-ish, and the prices on food are way to high for what you get. It's best to go on Sunday when games are $2 per person.

Went there last night with my boys and had a good time. Boy did I pay a chunk of change for it! For an XL pizza with 2 toppings and 3 arcade cards with $18 each on it was about $75 and 3 games of bowling for 3 people was a little over $50. Dang! Having teenage boys is not for the faint of heart or cheapskates, ha Ha! The ladies behind the counter were great though and took good care of us. If you go there to bowl be sure to dress light because it gets really warm to the point you'll end up having to step outside for a while to cool off, and as I write this we're in winter! The Oak Bowl features an excellent bar poker room with round-table tournaments and cash games most evenings, including Omaha and Texas Hold'em. The bowling alley contains a large arcade and pizza restaurant, making it a full package for an evening of fun for a people of any age.

Always fun, the kids enjoy the bowling and the arcade! Just one helpful hint, if you've got any food allergies make sure you eat before you go. We made sure to emphasize a dairy intolerance and STILL got a slice of cheese on my burger, returned and they gladly fixed it but it still made me sick. Lesson learned.

Horrible staff! My 2 year old daughter was struck in the face by the maintenance man while she was walking back to me. He pretty much walked into her causing her head to be pushed backwards by his hand. I was walking towards him when he disappeared into the back room. The manager was not engaged with his customers and hardly looked them in the face. Upon telling the manager he apologized but seemed distracted. After realizing I wasn't going to get help I simply told him we were leaving. We didn't even get a chance to get prizes for all the money we spent on tokens for the arcade games. The food was terrible and the booths were just hard wood booths which were very uncomfortable. I'm sorry that I wasted my money here! A horrible 5th birthday for my son.

I came in with my girlfriend and her 4 year old son, who's autistic; we tried bowling by the hour and immediately found out he wasn't a fan of bowling shoes. The staff was super friendly, and automatically credited the hour of bowling towards arcade points.

My husband and I came in with the plan of playing pinball. We first went and asked if there were any drink specials and we were told to go to the bar and inquire further. When we went to the bar and asked about drink specials the bartender quickly interrupted his conversation with the one other person at the bar to tell us know there were no drink specials that day. Then he promptly returned back to his conversation before helping us any further. If he had told me about one drink special or perhaps even made one up on the spot I would have gladly bought it but instead he returned back to his friend so we left. We went to the game area and out of to pinball machines only one was in service. We bought a $5 unlimited play for 30 minutes so that we could play Pinball however when we went to the arcade area the pinball machine was one of few that did not work with the unlimited play option. Overall I left there with sort of a bad taste in my mouth because of lack of customer service lack of drink specials and lack of arcade games for adults. Overall it was a lacklustre experience. If I had kids and they wanted to have a birthday party I would probably choose this spot, but otherwise I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

I am a longtime customer and friend to some ppl who play in a league Wednesday evenings. I find Oak Bowl to be a great place to be at. They have good food, drinks, and a play area especially for kids, that features pinball games and video games appropriate for children under 18; rechargeable cards to play the games with, with points and rewards. They have a quieter area set aside to simply watch the teams as they play. I'm giving them a 4 star review, only because they play such explicit and offensive music when children are present. As summer league, many ppl bring their children to play while they wait. Generally, the background music is great, playing classic rock, pop, alternative, etc. But around 9p.m., they start playing the explicit, crude, hip hop videos, that I personally find offensive and vulgar. Children are exposed to these music videos of butts and breasts, explicit lyrics discribing various sexual acts and body parts that I seriously think is inappropriate for a family oriented public entertainment location to promote. I just think it inappropriate for ANY family oriented business to play the suggestively sexual lyrics and videos, unless it is a private party.

We love the Oak Bowl but it has gotten too pricey for us to play. Brought the grandkids and played 3 rounds and it costed us $82 for our night. It's way cheaper to just go to Mt. Vernon. The service was great though and I wish I could say the pizza was good but it was not. Sorry Oak Bowl I know we are friends but I believe in honesty.

I am pleasantly surprise that they have made good food over the years. Very family friendly and recently improved their menu items. Fries used to be separate, now they are part of the meal. But you can still order them as a single item. Burgers are juicy and made your way. Pizza is pretty good. Service can be prompt or a little slow depending on how busy the bowling ally is. Cleanliness is a 5 star. I noticed they have had some of the same employees for years. This place is great because while you wait for your food there is a arcade to keep children occupied. Or perhaps your there to bowl too ;)

To the owner: On March 28th I went to oak bowl with a party of 4 adults and 3 kids for the first time. We requested two lanes for the open bowl on Sunday with the understanding first time bowlers receive a $10 voucher received from the oak bowl website. During our time there our lane was continuously breaking down and our balls were not being returned. We informed the staff members who were bowling on a near by lane. They replied “OK” and continued bowling and step outside. After approximately 20 minutes a number of employees retrieved our balls. The ball return issue continued and the service continued to be extremely slow. Our party also ordered food and drinks which required searching the ally for a staff member to assist us. Due to the poor service, the employee said he would compensate a couple games ($12) but proceeded to say we would not receive the first time discount ($10) because our games were compensated. In addition our group was over charged (hourly rate rather than per game when majority of our time was spent waiting for our balls to be returned) and the ally refused to acknowledge the military discount. Overall the service was awful and the 5 employees on staff at the time were inconsiderate, lazy, and hardly competent. The equipment was sorely lacking. I would not recommend ever attending this bowling ally.

Very good pizza - we do pickup orders which are fast and always fresh ingredients/ready to go when you arrive. bowling alley is a flashback to the 50s and 60s but with modern equipment.

For a small town bowling alley it's pretty Top Notch good arcade for the kids decent prices for bowling and shoes and the food's pretty good like the idea of a game card all you can play for set prices and the prices aren't that bad

We had a great time doing my sons birthday here. The arcade game are fun and there was a good selection for all ages. It is nice that the arcade room is separate from the bowling so the kids can run around and not bother anyone. The pizza was good and the staff was nice and helpful.

This review is for Mario's pizza inside, as I was visiting a friend and wanted to pick up a pie to bring with us as a surprise. After seeing the other awesome reviews, I called in an order as we were driving from out of town. The manager was friendly and helped me with the order. He was cordial but professional. When we arrived, we saw that the bowl meant it was a bowling alley! I was dubious at first, but as I entered I could tell this was a throwback bowling alley. Old style everything and an awesome looking arcade. Being on Whidbey Island as the only bowling alley, they really do a great job serving military patrons as I saw ads for discounts everywhere for members of the armed forces. That aside, the pizza we ordered was baked fresh with a conveyor style pizza oven. It was a bit costly, but when we brought it in to our friend's house and opened up the box, a smell of italian spices mixed with seasoned breading made our senses perk. It was one of the best pizzas I ever tasted. Likely, just like the manager said, this is probably the best pizza on the island. Located just 3 minutes from base housing too. Awesome pizza, awesome bowling alley atmosphere. If you have $20 or $30 burning a hole in your pocket, come here and have a blast and a great pizza!!!!!!

Pizza is great and so is the bowling. You will constantly find yourself more amazed at how fun it is. The arcade is pricey, but worth it.

Grandson's 13th. Never been there B4. Pleasantly surprised. VERY helpful and attentive staff, good pizza, besides bowling there's a decent activity area and really set up nicely for group parties. Had a fun time and highly recommend checking it out if you're on the hunt for a kid party kind of place.
