We've got the information of real people who used the products of Rinx Toronto (Bowling Alley) around North York territory (Canada).
At this moment this firm has a score of 3.8 stars over 5 and the rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is quite high, and it is founded on a very large number of scores, so we may say that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place opinions when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Bowling Alley belongs to the category of Sports complex.
I would've given 5 stars for activity selection but facility is kinda dark, dated. Staff is just doing their job not very excited about birthday parties that they serve.
There's a ton of fun activities at this place, I personally tried the roller skating, laser tag, cyber sport and mini golf but this place is so dirty. Everything is just coated in a layer of dust. I have asthma and I couldn't even finish the mini golf because of the musty smell.
The pictures are nothing like the actual place, rooms are to small, and it’s so dirty and smelly . They don’t even have a shoe rack for kids to leave their shoe on. The reception lady is unbelievably rude and she is not willing to answer any questions with a huge attitude..... I booked the place and going to cancel it.
Went here for a work event and everyone had fun playing laser tag. Honestly, even though we were grown adults surrounded by children, we had a stress-free and team-bonding day!
Really worn down place, few activities were actually fun. At every activity at least something broke down. Area is incredibly sketchy. The staff was nice I guess. Would not reccomend to anyone.
Amazing place! Staff are so nice and always there to help you. My children had a blast for my oldest birthday party. Till this day my oldest friends still talk about how much fun they had.
Ice is hit or miss and depending on the rink, you might not have a washroom in your change room. Pro shop is open until 11pm which is super handy for those late night games
We had our son's birthday party here. They have cool games but I wish they had even more for the use of all ages. Something that needs improvement though is the lack of clear singnage to find the party rooms and to the washrooms -that by the way need baby changing tables!. Most of my guests were looking for the room we were at and they all one common denomitator for this: this place is a maze!
The only reason why this place has any good stars is becuase they offer a discount for a good review. If I could give 0 starts I would. This place exploite and steal from their employees, theres an infestation in the kitchen and management is impossible to deal with. Game time is limited for the prices you pay, half the time the equipment isnt working, and if you book during a ball or ice hockey game, the smell is so intense you wont be able to enjoy your meal in the party rooms. If you pay into this facility, you're supporting a racist, misogynists and arrogant family. I would not recommend even to my worse enemy.
It was... "fun". Its in a quite SKETCHY area in Toronto that I would be scared to drive through at night... When we went there was a total of 0 people and some of the activities were fun unlike certain others. If you do decide to go, dont do roller skating...
I believe this place is" The Bubble' now.... it's a really good kid's friendly indoor playground.
Went for laser tag and bowling. The party leader staff member was OK, but the smell was terrible. Should be renamed STINX. They gave us beers near our bowling time limit and then rushed us out with no place to drink them. Won't be my first choice of party entertainment.
Had an awesome time with the cyber sport (whirley ball) activity, and the staff were kind enough to find us a party room to have our cake in even though we hasn't thought to book one in advance.
Rinks are ok. It's nice that it has a bar for post-game drinks. Quality is what you'd expect for a hockey rink. Pro shop is open late.
I play ball hockey here 1-2 times per week and it's a great facility with a good staff behind the operation. I like that they have a multi-purpose facility with bowling, bumper cars, ice rink, party room, etc. It makes it a one-stop shop for all your extra-curricular activities.
Great party place for kids!! My son enjoyed his birthday alot. We will definitely be back!
Great place for small kids birthday party. Lots of entertainment options, and good food. My boys enjoyed it every time they went there either for their own parties or attending friends parties. Staff is very friendly.
Did a team bonding evening at Rinx. Whirly Ball & Laser Tag, both were a lot of fun and the boys really enjoyed. The staff was kind and helpful with any needs requested. Would definitely book another party or event at Rinx!
Got there for a birthday celebration and really liked the experience. They have a bunch of rooms to receive your guests and cool attractions. We really liked the laser tag =D Fun for little kids and big ones likes me lol Thumbs up!
Ice is pretty small and crummy. Change rooms are smelly and lack full restrooms. Some change rooms only have showers and no sink to fill up water or anything.
We went to Rinx with our entire office on a Monday afternoon. We did the bowling and the lazertag. We had a great experience. Staff was friendly and the facility is in pretty decent shape. The bowling alley was in good condition and it provided a great atmosphere since we had the entire alley to ourselves. The lazertag equipment was a little worn, but the fun factor was extremely high!
We entered the facility with NOBODY at the front to monitor COVID protocols. The ice quality was terrible... I watched kids play before us with two four to six inch holes in the ice just above the crease. Someone could've got seriously injured. They finally moved them to Rink 4 and moved our game to that same pad. After our flood the water left on the surface was VERY visible and behind one net it was still wet by the end of the game . I would not recommend Minor hockey organizations to use this facility.
Ice is always in rough shape, lines on ice are barely visible. Once had a game at 11:15, Zamboni did not flood ice until 11:45. True north men's league is terribly run, in 5 years I still don't know who the convenor is.
Nice collection of activities here. Ice rinks, ball hockey rinks, Laser Tag and bowling all to be found. Its pretty big and hard to navigate, but worth checking out for a fun night out.
Good , clean fun. Booking events is easy and simple through their website. The event staff are knowledgable and courteous and have a good knowledge of what is needed for various ages/ activities.
Orfus Road is an amazing spot, especially for bargain hunters. I suggest going in the summer, but it is open all year round. I have found some great deals in this area, including Rinx.
Good place for kids and their fun. Not much things to do for little ones (age 2-4) The ice rink smells funky.
My wife booked the private party room for my 40th birthday. The room itself was nice. But she got totally ripped off on the food and drinks the spread was sparse relative to what she paid and they only delivered half of what she ordered and tried to pass it off as the full order! There was no real supervisor on site on a Saturday night the place was amateurishly run by bratty kids who looked like they would rather goof off with their friends than do any work. One of the kids working there tried to take some of our alcoholic beverages and give them to his friends who were having a party at an adjacent room. I’m not kidding. We had to go there and ask for our booze back! It was supposed to be a retro style roller rink but you could barely hear the music and the “disco lights” were never really turned on. Half the rollerblades were totally ruined and were unusable and they were trying to pass them off as usable. Lucky no one got hurt. When my wife called the sales person who booked the party on Monday she only refunded my wife for the portion of food which was never delivered. No comp for the terrible service we got or an invitation to come back for free on another night to make it up to us. I’m a pretty easygoing guy but this interaction upset me. I think their focus is on corporate events during business hours (otherwise the business would go bankrupt) but after hours this place is a disaster. NEVER AGAIN.
The venue and games were fun and exciting. The staff however, was lack-luster at best. They seemed like it physically pained them to be there. There was no such thing as enthusiasm with any of them - it was depressing to see these zombie-employees working at a place that is supposed to be fun and enjoyable.
Not bad with some interesting events for team building.
Old and outdated venue . Unhelpful staff I was planning a party for thirty this October and I received a 30 $ parking ticket while actually being parked in their parking lot ,which they refused to help us cancel. They said that because I didn't actually book the party they won't help me ... Lol I suggest taking the bus there to avoid this problem . No wonder the place is always empty .
I did a birthday party for my 8 years old son and it was wonderful and the kids enjoyed their time there. The service was great!!!! Thanks again Dana Amar
This place could use a facelift. Its a very dirty facility in disrepair. Destroyed my hockey pants on some screw heads that were sticking out from the boards on rink 3. Suitable for beer league hockey at best. Plan on showering at home.
Great for groups, I went with my church and the youth had a blast. I would happily return for a birthday activity day for my kids (if I had kids)
Very good lots to do good for kids cant get a coffee there till 12 noon if you're an adult only 2.50 retail sugar drinks for thirsty skaters
a wonderful place to visit or to have a b-day party for kids! kids just love it. They have so many options there. We do the b-day party every year and we choose the 4 activities plus the glow in the dark b-day party room and the powder pucker at the end. Kids talk about this place for the whole year! ???? so far this is the best place to host the b-day party! we'll be back next year again.
Cold terrible spectator experience in rink 3. From a player's point of view the ice is pretty good. Dressing room bathrooms stink.
My son had a lazer tag birthday party at Rinx. The kids all had a blast and it was super-easy for us, the parents. Set-up, clean-up, chips & drinks were all provided. Would have another party there.
More than just skating rinks. Renovations going on right now for a giant bouncy castle room I believe. I also heard there will be arcade games.
They have been around forever, great place to have fun!
Arenas are definitely in need of a refresh. Rinks 2 and 3 are okay, but Rink 1 is smaller in size and has an extremely uncomfortable and small bench (not enough space for a full team + players can't walk behind the bench.)
Love it...played lazertag and dodgem lacrosse♡ great value
Good for kids' parties, but the gallons of black paint slathered on every wall stink for atmosphere. Kinda feels like a high-school gym in the rest of the place - wouldn't hurt to actually TRY for some decor. Repeat, though, the kids had fun!
I was cheering for my sun and all of a sudden I wacked in the head by a hockey stick the kids where laughing at me. And when we where leaving my son asked for a snack and i wasted 5 dollars on the vending machine .
It is a huge place with ice rink, restaurant, games and party rooms for kids. The food is not great, but it is comparable with the food you get in other party locations. Kids do have a lot of fun here. The walls are painted in black and that is making the place to look old and in a not good shape. Parking lot is busy during weekends.
Pretty good facility. Easy to navigate, decent sized change rooms. Ice quality was very poor though. We played on rink 4 and calling it pond ice would be disrespectful to nature's beauty.
Large space, lots of fun things for both kids and adults to do. Lazer tag was super fun and the pucker powder was a great add on the the end of the birthday party! We'd go back.
Great place, would recommend. There are plenty of fun things to do there, like bowling and a different type of bumper cars. I loved the skating (even though I'm terrible at it). However, I wish it was less expensive.
meh. dingy old arenas at the front, with poor viewing angles for parents. Newer arenas at the back are okay....but overall it's aging. The restaurant is good and very reasonably priced. Steer clear of World Class Hockey, especially the 3-on-3.
We've used these guys for a corporate event twice now and we have been very happy, likely to make it three soon. It's a large space with plenty of things to do and friendly staff to help you out. Lazer tag, bumper car lacrosse and Ballarama are my fav events to try out. On the negative side, it is a little dated in places and I think it could benefit from a reno in the next couple of years and the main Hockey Rink area really smells of man juice.
Was really disappointed with the party we hosted for my daughter. Understaffing for the activities lead to a lot of confusion - not the seamless party that was promised. Our host was a really nice guy but can not be in 2 places at once, which meant that they were unprepared for the switch in activities and didn't have everything we needed ready when we went from activities to the party room. There was another party there also with the same issue we had but no one did anything to solve the problem. I tried to express my concerns to the staff at Rinx and received no response after multiple attempts. Very disappointed. Rinx used to be the only gig in town but now there are other options and I would definitely choose something else for our next party. BTW - Rinx provides a discount on the cost of your party if you send in a screenshot of a 5-star review so read other reviews with that in mind.
Located on the infamous Orfus Road strip, Rinx is a fixture and central hub for children's events - mostly birthday parties. The place is a cavernous, intriguing maze of halls, roller skating rinks, and party rooms. Deep in the bowels of Rinx, you are either skulking in shadows or blinking in the unrelenting glare of harsh white light; there are few windows. Party rooms smell of sweat, kid fart, and the desperation of lonely parents who always swear they will never return. Staff is pleasant, but absent-minded (or simply absent). Food is hit and miss: pizza is a slight upgrade from microwave cardboard, cake is decently equivalent to Duncan Hines, and fruit is surprisingly fresh.
Well maintained Ice Hockey Arenas. Good for a centrally located Beer league arena. Make sure you lock your room and car :)
I hosted a birthday party at Rinx and had a fantastic time! My party and I did 3 activities (laser tag, cyber sport, and balladium) and enjoyed each of them. Our host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The staff there in general are very nice and helpful.
Management disorganized and unprofessional. Booked an event one month in advance of event and paid deposit. Mgmt called to cancel my event one week before party!!. Gave my spot to another group. Still waiting for my refund. Happily booked at a better and less expensive rink in Mississauga. Not worth it.
Was in a group of 10 adults for laser tag. It was awesome. We got 4 games in during our 2 hour period (stopping for breaks in between for water/iced tea). Only con was that some of the lasers wouldn't work on some of the vests (but other lasers could hit that same vest and the original laser could hit other vests.) We were told that they are going to be getting new vests, so the issue should be fixed in the near future.
I mean it has ice surfaces... I guess it gets some stars for that. Rink 1 does not properly vent the exhaust fumes from the Zamboni. I have a headache multiple hours later still. I wouldn't recommend booking this ice. Much better ice elsewhere and you don't have to worry about exhaust fumes ...
First time here. Brought the kids from our club as part of the our March Break Camp. I founded the staff very friendly and accommodating. When one of the games was not working properly they immediately had our kids to another game. As well, one kid had allergies to gluten, so they made pizza especially for him. The kids were very happy in the end, and could not stop talking about it, and that’s what matters.
Had a roller skating party for a 9th birthday. Skates were old and worn out. Safety gear was also worn out and only in adult sizes. Roof in our party room had a horrible leak. Time freak game kept freezing and kids were left standing around an awful lot. Blasters in Balladium room worked intermittently. In addition, the smell of urine outside the Balladium area was overwhelming. This place seemed like it was once a lot of fun. Seems like it needs a deep refresher. Adult party with drinks okay, kids party would be better elsewhere. Complaints fell on completely deaf ears. Our experience here was not seem less and relaxing like the slick website promised. Staff were nice, but ill equipped. Super expensive and disappointing... not worth the $750 plus for 18 kids.
Super fun place to host a kids birthday. Activities are a blast and the kids go all Lord of the Flies, which they love.
Okay facility. Dressing rooms and washrooms not very clean. Sometimes hard to park as area shoppers use the parking lot especially on weekends. Now four pads. Pad 1 and 4 are too small with tight benches and low ceilings.
I've played a lot of hockey here. By no means is it the best rink on earth, but it has 3 ice services, a bit of a bar, some seats for people to watch the games, dressing rooms are of average size, a good amount of parking
It could be a great place, but half the equipment doesn't work and they don't seem to care, i.e. it certainly doesn't prompt them to discount anything. A lot of the stuff there could be a lot of fun if it were working properly. Kids still really like it despite this, but they're not the ones paying. A good place for kids birthday parties, but again, feel kind of ripped off by equipment failures.
Rink 4 lots of wet areas, too much water for the flood and slow down Zamboni Driver
Awful. Went here foe a kids bday party. Our hostess had difficulty managing rounding up kids, would miss some of the group so we were always trting to figure outwere we should be. Pizza was late. Kids were getting restless. Needed a change tsble to change my 15 month olds diaper. Was shocked to be told that there wasn't one in the entire facility (it's a family establishment without change tables). I was told by staff that i coupd change my sons diaper on atable in the party room -the same table kids will eat off of! I would never go back.
We had our office Christmas party here. All the guys had fun with the Cyber ball and bowling. Couple of the alleys were broken tho. Overall it was good
I only visited rink 3 and it seemed pretty plain. But then again what more do you need than ice? It's easy enough to get to and if you arrive early there are outlet stores in the area that you can check out. If you're going to watch someone play I recommend bringing something warm to sit on because you'll only find a metal bench and it is near a main door so it's drafty!
Rooms are pretty small and most don't have bathrooms. Ice can be okay to bad depending on the pad but it's hard to beat 4 rinks that close to downtown.
Amazing place for work parties, birthday parties for all ages. Has a bar and restaurant. Well-stocked and Variety in catering menu. And is on orfus Road where if it is a children's party you can stay in the area to do some shopping.
I booked a private event for Bowling and Cyber sport for a birthday party and was met with very disappointing service because the coordinators assigned to us were not forthcoming with the arrangement of the events. The bowling portion froze towards the end of our hour and I understand that technical difficulties happen but there should at least be some communication about how to proceed next. When asked about game time extension on the next game, the coordinators implied that they will arrange it. I mentioned that I had a cake and would like the party to enjoy that before the next game. However, she did not inform me that the clock was already starting on Cybersport. It wasn't until I went to search for her that she was wondering why we took so long because it's already 25minutes after the hour. We lost 25 minutes of the game because she didn't bother giving us a gentle reminder. The attitude of the coordinators was unprofessional and it seemed to me that they only cared about getting off at 10pm. We weren't able to enjoy the room and I'm glad that no money was wasted on food or beverages as it just felt like we were pushed to finish and get out so that staff can get off on time. I'm not here to pin all the blame on the staff but I do wish that there can be changes made at the management level to foster better customer service and arrangement for events that are booked near closing time. I was hoping to recommend Rinx for my company's corporate event, but unfortunately, I do not want them to experience the poor service that I have received.
Interesting games and kids have fun. Very popular for birthday parties. Food quality used to be poor, but has really improved recently. Customer service is still terrible (as of March) and for the most part prices are too high for what you get.
It was a great experience. My kids birthday party was a blast. He had a lot of fun. Even my corporate party went really well. The coordinator did a great job with assisting us. It would be a great place for anyone to go and have a great time. There have many activities.
Great place to host a party for kids and adults. Our first experience was great, my son was invited to a birthday and had an amazing time. He loved the laser tag, bowling and the games room. He loved it so much that we have booked his birthday party there. The prices are reasonable and the location is central so convenient for everyone. We would definitely recommend Rinx!
Ok ice. Need maintenance badly. Net pegs on all ice pads are so old and worn they won't hold the nets in place. Come on guys, it's not that expensive to buy a new set.
Just hosted a party there - kids had a great time. Would suggest you and your guests arrive 15 mins before party start time, as they start promptly, and if you're not all ready, this eats into your play time. Our party host was great - really nice and helpful.
I play hockey here weekly, seems like a fun complex to have a party at but the ice quality is ok at best.. the bathrooms are at least always clean!
Good bar, friendly staff (typically) but the rinks themselves are showing their age. Good place for a quick skate though.
Worst ice I've seen in 30 years! Pad 3 ice did not freeze fully the entire game.
It's a great place for children party. Great service, amazing activities, nice party rooms! The stuff is extra helpful. For the first time, I could enjoy my son's party without having much to do, or worrying my head about not losing any kid. Great job!
Rinx is a great place to have children's party. The staff have been so helpful with organizing the event and even reminding us of the details ahead of the party. There are lots of activity options and guidance around age appropriate activities. Great!
Good ball hockey rink. Fun kids activities. Nothing extraordinary and a bit older, but is maintained. Restaurant is standard hockey rink quality and selection.
The first time we visited Rinx, was during our son's friend's birthday party. They had a lot of fun together, playing various activities (Laser Tag, Balladium, etc.). This year both my son and daughter chose to have their birthdays there and invite all their friends (~ 20). Looking forward for a fabulous time and great service ????????
They have 3 different ice surfaces and the True North hockey league is a great time. Many of the dressing rooms are very run down.
This place runs a great men’s league, but it is far from modern or fancy. Obviously, that’s not what we’re looking for, but even some of the Necessities are lacking from time to time. The dressing room bathrooms are almost entirely useless. The showers often like hot water or have some other issue. Rink 1 Is miniature. Difficult to play on. The others are normal. Still happy I joined the league and will continue to play.
Place is a total dive. No toilets were working the past 3 weeks I've been there. Ice is awful and choppy. Dressing rooms are dingy with very dirty showers. Staff work hard but management really doesn't seem to care about their patrons. I would not recommend this arena complex until they upgrade the facilities. It simply isn't a nice arena complex.
Very disappointing, i had my son's 11th birthday party here on Saturday June 14th and all his gift was STOLEN. The rooms are not secured and have no cameras. Imagine how disappointing it is to know you send $714.00 for a party event and at the end you have nothing to show for this. My son was crying worst BIRTHDAY EVER. I will not be coming back here at all. I have had parties at many different places Dave n buster, chuckechese , playdium, etc and i was never concerned about security because i know my items were safe in the party rooms. I really wanted 0 stars as that's what i feel this deserve but it wouldn't allow me to save it.
Just an awful rink. Smelled like sewage. No place for fans to sit and the ice is awful. Just a terrible place. Oh by the way the parking is worse. Avoid if you can
Went for a birthday party. Chicken wings, veggie sticks and pizza. The pizza was very sad looking. Laser Tag was alright, could be a bigger area and same for bowling
It's really a shame because the facility has so much potential. The staff member assigned to us could not have cared less and was actually kind of rude. Everything seemed vary chaotic and the Birthday mother was doing all the work. Definitely not full service.
Mini golf and mini bowling activities were fun, kids really enjoyed them. But there was quite an unpleasant ending to our party when they were 15 minutes late with our food and then bacame cleaning our room for the next party while the kids were still decorating and eating their cupcakes. So basically we paid 75 dollars for our glow in the dark room for 30 minutes to be half that time constantly induced to leave.
