Absolutely delicious Irish foods and wonderful atmosphere! If you have chance... GO!

We booked the small Queen room above the pub and it was a delight. If you are going to stay at Niagara-on-the-Lake and want a unique experience ... book a room above the pub! We stayed 2 nights, ate our dinner there the first night and went for drinks and live entertainment the second night. Every employee we interacted with from the moment we arrived was excellent. Liza (I hope I spelled that right) took care of our accommodations and set us up for our dinner reservation. Jen, who was manning the door each time we came in, was engaging, nice, polite and professional - even when customers were not being very kind about the wait times and covid-19 protocols. Our waiter both nights was Jesse. I cannot say enough positive things about Jesse. He was the personification of what a great waiter is ... attentive, smiling, informative, efficient and fun. He gave great food and drink recommendations - I'd take his whiskey and beer recommendations any day! And now for the food: WOW! I have been searching for authentic tasting Fish & Chips since my travels to the UK and Ireland. This is the first time I was not disappointed in the fish. It was truly authentic. I shared these with my husband, who shared his meal of Steak and Guinness Pie with Irish Stew - both of which were delicious and reminded me of the pub food in Ireland. I highly recommend both the PUB and the rooms above the pub for your next trip to Niagara-on -the-Lake.

Awesome food! The Irish eggrolls and Shepard's pie were incredible, don't miss these! Spinach dip and burger were good too, upgrading fries was a great decision since the garlic ones are covered in a delicious garlic butter. Service was also excellent.

We capped off our trip to NOTL with a stop here. The atmosphere is phenomenal!!! Authentic feel and a menu to match!

Jacob Martin

I hade the Irish Stew and it was absolutely amazing, the beef was melt in your mouth good, and the gravy was so rich! The service was excellent, inspite of being understaffed. My father had the sheppard's pie and it was every bit as good as the stew. I will definitely be visiting here again.

Nice, lively Irish Pub. Looks like there's live music at times. Prompt service and good food. The main bar area can get a bit noisy but it's great to be around people enjoying themselves in groups again!

First time visiting this authentic feeling Irish pub. Had not travelled the block off Niagara on the Lake's main Street before, but really glad we did this time and chose to have a meal at The Irish Harp Pub. A number of traditional Irish meal choices are on the menus along with other options but when in Ireland eat as the Irish eat, I just don't try to drink as the Irish do, however lol. . I had a bit of a battle trying to choose between Irish stew with puff pastry and the Guiness steak stew at around $20. Then I saw the Irish pot (no not the smoking kind). I could have both of my choices. I had no idea the size of meal I was about to get. A platter with a pot of good size Irish Stew and puff pastry at one end and the same size pot with the Guiness Steak stew at the other end, with the centre filled with delicious champs (mashed potatoes) and turnip. For $21, a really reasonable priced, in my mind, choice. The steak used in the Guiness and steak stew, was great, not tough but fall apart, with great flavor, as was the meat in the Irish Stew. The puff pastry really well done and the dish also very tasty. Door host, covid protocals and servers were perfect. It was comfortable safe fun eat in spit. Highly recommend getting off the main Street and eating here and seeing the other businesses off as well as on the main Street. Irish Harp Pub...a ten out of ten on all elements we experienced and a definite spot to return to. One comment re the Sticky toffee pudding which I did not try. I am a bit sticky myself that the cake should be date. Next time I will give theirs a try though not date

Nice arrangements both inside and patio. Food was great, service was ok, seems slightly pricy, perhaps because is a tourist area. My tea cup was stained, and plates were like having scratch/crack marks. I hope they can improve on that aspect.

Service was good, one issue with food, but server took care of it promptly. I think with a different meal it is 4 or 5 stars. The atmosphere is great!

We came here a few months ago and everything was spectacular. 5 stars. We recently visited again and the food quality was very poor. I think it's because it was a low season and there weren't very many customers so we got older frozen food. The Cajun fish was stale and overcooked. The Irish spring rolls were hard and old as well. The potatoes were the best part of our meal. And the service was great as always. Just hoped the food was more worth it. Sorry

Service was great. They were extremely busy but wait times for tables and food and drink were good. The front area where you walk into the restaurant is very small and cramped and I can imagine it’s quite chilly in the winter.

Andrea Boyko

Great pub and great food with reasonable prices. Cozy and cheerful place with live Irish music. Highly recommending this pub.

Peihsuan Tsai

Sandi was our server and she took great care of us. She turned us on to a flight of Red Breast Whiskey. The Irish egg rolls were light and fried perfectly. It was a cold day so we both wanted some comfort food to warm us. The Irish Hot Pot fit the bill. It was an outstanding lunch. Sandi and the rest of the staff were warm and welcoming.

Martin Gent

Best garlic fries ever!!! Came for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon so we sat on the patio. Had the turkey burger which was messy but delicious, and the garlic fries are to die for. Our waitress was so lovely and attentive. Can’t wait to come back here next time we’re in NOTL

Lola Ramona

Great Friday night spot. The Irish Stew is perfect. Fish and chips are good. Serious whiskey bar. Legit black and tan's. I was very impressed with the atmosphere and the detail. From the lighting, ceiling, wood finishes, the bar, the flooring. It really is something else. Would come back. I'd try the lobster bisque and the bangers and mash next time.

The Irish Watermelon cocktail was tasty. Hubby had Irish Hot Pot (excellent) and I had the Maple Glazed Salmon (a bit overcooked, but not horribly so). Service provided by Ben was good. Desert was awesome (sticky toffee pudding for me …

I had the Irish Hot Pot with two types of cream ale. All were excellent. We decided to go back 2 days later as the atmosphere and food were so awesome. Tonight I had the veggie ciabatta and it was delicious. My wife ate the maple glazed salmon both times and both were fantastic. Highly highly recommended. Plus a long whiskey list to boot.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner and drinks at the Irish Harp during our stay in NOTL. The service was great and the patios are very inviting. My buffalo chicken wrap was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and my partners fish and chips were cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place for lunch/dinner for sure!

Dubz C

This was our second time visiting the Irish Harp pub. Hubby and I had a great time, we ordered the Haddock with Coconut Shrimp and the Reuben burger. I found the batter on the Haddock too crispy but other than that the meal was delicious. I also upgraded to the garlic fries which is a MUST if you like garlic. Fries were great. Cheers! ????

philip warren

Sandwiches looked pricy but honestly, my Reuben was huge and I really liked my salad. Very filling meal. Our food took a LONG time to come but everyone more or less enjoyed it. Nice Irish ambiance in the restaurant

This pub was our last stop of the night and it was great. We had a delicious Apple crumble desert with ice-cream on top courtesy of some kind strangers for a celebration of mine. It was good. Didn't get to try the food but other ppl's …

Marie Juarez

After many trips to the area we finally tried the pub! My family and I were not disappointed we had a cozy corner. The service was good perhaps tired but was not an issue. The food was delicious, the beer delicious sadly no room for dessert. I felt the portion size was adequate for the price. I hope next time to stop in again.

Chris McFarlane

Excellent meal at their outside dining. I had the prime rib sandwich with champ. My wife had the haddock fish and chips with garlic fries. Definitely going back there again. Decent beer menu but not massive.

Negar Javan

Great spot to chill out or to finish your on the lake journey. We got fish and chips, spinach dip, and chicken fingers and of course beers… Everything was delicious. Definitely will visit again.

This place is one of a kind. The authentic Irish feel, food and booze here remind you Ireland's small pubs. The food is amazing and so is the booze. I recommend the Shepherd's pie and the beer mixes. The staff is super friendly and the crowd is nice. I definitely make it a point to go here whenever I am in NOTL.

John Lum

A wonderful cozy Irish pub with a real wood fireplace to warm up by. Food and service was wonderful. There is also an extensive whiskey menu and the Irish coffee was a real pleasure for a cold winter day

The food was great. The one star rating is for the service. The server was so rude to us. Her attitude was just terrible. She made us feel as if we caused her and the restaurant an inconvenience. We are paying customers in case you didn’t notice. I really didn’t want to post a review as I thought maybe she was just overwhelmed since the restaurant was so busy but my husband felt it too. Not sure if me being a visible minority had anything to do with her behaviour towards us. If it did then that’s really really bad - we don’t deserve that. Nobody does. Furthermore, she didn’t have her mask on properly. Her nose was completely uncovered and the mask was so lose on her face. There was no point of her having it on. On a separate note: the restaurant was so busy it didn’t seem like they were following the new restrictions concerning the 50% capacity regulation. Overall, not a pleasant experience for us during our mini vacation that we took to Niagara On The Lake for Christmas.

Tyrone Pereira

Just had the best honey garlic chicken wings. Lovely Caesar salad. Yummy on a cold winter night.

Thilaknath Ashokkumar

Very good food and service in Niagara on the lake. We sat down for drinks and dinner and it was a good evening. The service was on time. We were lucky we dint get in the spot which we decided to actually go and found this place instead. The portions are big and one can have a good hearty meal.

Sarah Pothupitiya

Absolutely in love with this place! We visited it yesterday for lunch and we HAD to come back today as well! It was that good! I kid you not! From the service to the food! My husband wanted curry and we were served with the best curry in all of Canada! It was so spicy and just a glorious glorious dish! Cannot wait to come back again.

Jo-Anne HERBECK

A good Irish pub, just sorta average but nothing wrong with that honestly. My food tasted bland and that's why I gave it a lower rating. I don't think I'd go again by myself, but if some friends want to grab a pint at the pub I'd definitely go with them. It would be a grand ole time.

Ian Fitze

Always loved the food, the drinks, the ambiance and friendly staff each time we visit. Great for family, friends and couples get together. There is something for everyone at affordable prices and large portions.

Paul D

Live music is a lot of fun. The servers are always friendly and courteous. Food service is fast. Great pub food. The tan and black onion rings are fantastic as are the wings. The traditional Irish dishes are very good as well.We go to the Harp every time we are in NOTL.

Good atmosphere and good choice of British and Irish beers, food is decent and well priced, I definitely point anyone visiting NOTL in this direction. It is always a hit! Try the lager and lime! You won’t regret it.

Real nice place to have a relaxing lunch in Niagara on the Lake! Service friendly and fast the food is good and the atmosphere is amazing!

Phil Chao

Our favourite dinner spot when visiting Niagara on the Lake. Very good, tasty food, super friendly staff, reasonably priced and very, very busy. Be prepared to wait for a table. We love the authentic Irish pub ambiance. One visit and you're honourary Irish!

Michael P

Service was spectacular, food was great…not your average greasy pub food, but rather well executed classic pub fair, tasty and fair prices.

Farhan Kanjiyani

A very popular establishment. And rightly so. Irish harp pub is a great pub with great food. I had the fish and chips which were great quality and tasted fresh. The chips I upgraded to garlic fries (friends got the garlic parm) which added a lot of taste.

Carlos Uruena

Right in the heart of Niagara on the Lake this Pub has the fare that you want. Relax outside and watch the horse drawn carriage convey visitors through this scenic downtown.

Pink Rpunya

My wife and I were touring the wineries one weekend and dropped by for lunch after seeing the reviews online. The Irish Harp definitely has a great personality and ambience for an Irish pub, but we found the food to be just alright. It’s definitely good food by bar/pub standards but nothing special in and of itself. The veggie burger is quite dry without many toppings and the fried fish is also decent, but nothing special. Give it a shot if you’re in the area!

Gary Miller

Great Spot! The food and atmosphere is a wonderful place on a cold winter night. The house beer is very tasty and goes so well with a bowl of warm Irish Stew. Sitting at the bar and talking some new friends while listening to the glasses clang and music playing. I could stay here all night!

Had a great meal on the patio Sunday. We kept it light which was a good thing because the portions were very generous. My wife had the fish and chips while I had the Irish Egg Rolls. And of course the pints were cold and tasty. I enjoyed a Guinness (of course) as well as a Smithwick's. They also have a beer sampler which is a good option if you just can't make up your mind.

What a gem in the lovely town of Niagara On the Lake. The atmosphere is so chill. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We were able to visit as their mid-day music was in session, (Fiddlin’ Around). Great band bringing an authentic Irish feel to the pub. The food was excellent and plenty. Big portions and so tasty. Highly recommend. If you’re ever in NOTL this is a place to satisfy your hunger.

Love going here especially when there's live Irish music playing. Food always tastes great and it always feels warm and cozy.

Laurel Price-Jones

You can start with food and pints outside while waiting for your table, which is great. This place is clearly well recommended since lots of people flock to it. True pub style like you’d hope and we had a few really nice staff helping us out. Food is good but didn’t blow my mind - we only tried an app though to be fair. Still a cool place to check out. They have live music at night and a great atmosphere.

Galina Nizinkovskaja

This place was amazing. the atmosphere was nice the waitress Andrea was very nice the food was divine. I Had the philly melt and it literally melted in my mouth, and I had the French onion soup and it was very good. Highly recommend this place

Helaine Hindley

This is my favorite spot to go in Niagara on the lake for food and a pint. The food is delicious (I love the garlic parmesan fries) and there is a great beer and cocktail selection. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is top-notch. I highly recommend.

Delicious!! Had the Irish stew and it was so good! Beautiful day outside on their patio with Irish music. Great atmosphere! They've done a really good job to adjust to the pandemic restrictions and still provide good quality meals and service.

Bad service and arrogant female waiters...food is below average...but the Guinness was well serve and at the right temperature....entreteiment was good i give them 5 stars...but for service the food and dirty washrooms i give them 2 stars.

Don Krupski

Lovely Irish pub with a lot it history. Everytime I come I receive awesome service and delicious food. We love coming hear for the great atmosphere and live music. Be sure to try the chicken pot pie if you are looking for a cozy homemade tasting meal! Last time we went, Steve served us and it was an awesome experience. Super friendly and patient guy.

Marlene Bridgman

Very delicious for casual dining. The Black and Tan onion rings were delicious and so were the Irish egg rolls. Very large portions for the sharing menu. Their patio is also dog friendly. They brought our pup a little bowl of water as well. A great spot overall

Michael Riley

Service was excellent, the food was good too. We popped in for lunch one day on a Monday and it was packed. Found us a table fairly quickly even though we didn't have reservations. The chicken fingers and fries I had were really good (and I'm not much of a fan of plain old chicken fingers), the fries were outstanding. Overall a good experience and we would definitely return for some drinks in the evening one day

Shouvik Datta

Nice Irish pub, they do live band here... Lots of out of Towner/ tourist. But they serve typical Irish pub fare...Guinness on tap was on point .. nice whiskey selection too.

Stan Levenger

Phenomenal atmosphere and service. The facility has the classic Irish pub feel with a great bar. Nice place to socialize with friends. Food is good and plentiful with a very nice selection of Irish/Brit dishes. Nice beer selection. This establishment is very popular in season at popular times so if visiting then be prepared for a substantial wait time. While waiting try some of the delicious beers.

John Harris

Drove for 2 hours to come see the Right Proper Lads perform. It was amazing!!! Nothing is more relaxing than sitting in an Irish Pub with great food, exceptional friends, and an incredible band with live music. Had the Gaelic Nachos, pull apart bread and Irish egg rolls. Thank you!!!!

Natasha Marangoni

Loved my take out here ! Staff was friendly and the food tasted delicious. Everything came out warm and tasting fresh. The Mac & cheese was my favourite!

Janice Schoonhoven

Lively and welcoming. Live music was great, and the selection of drinks perfect. I tried an IPA and didn't like it, the server switch me out without a fuss. Recommend trying their Irish whiskey selection too.
