10 of us went on Sunday afternoon, no one else was there. We paid for an hour but one of our teams with a full roster didn't even get to finish one entire round. The lanes kept breaking down. We had to wait for the employee to walk to the back, set the pins and continue on. That ate into our time. $11 for an hour per person, where you don't get to finish the game because it breaks down... not a great experience for our first time there.

Amazing! Very small and quant but cute bowling alley. Clean and not overly loud or crowded. Belt very welcomed our first time here, and we may even join a couples bowling league here. Can't wait to go back already!

I would have rated this place a 1/5 due to the way we were spoken to in the upstairs alleys. We were "ORDERED" off the carpets with our wet shoes, not asked. Note: I made sure to wipe my shoes on the mat on the way in. The downstairs employees were much nicer, hence the 2/5.

I have been bowling there regularly for almost 2 years. The alley is well maintained and everything works. The owners are friendly, helpful and all round nice people. I have no hesitation recommending Towne Bowl to anyone who wants to take up the sport of 5 pin bowling.

Exactly what we were looking for. Family atmosphere, low pressure, good price and great service. It is an older place but well maintained. Shoes were clean and relatively new and the lanes were in good shape. Great value for a Sunday afternoon family outing.

I loved it! Had a group with family and friends of different ages and it was really fun. Really friendly staff/workers and reservation was fast and easy. We even ordered pizza from there and overall the place had really good prices. Will go again sometime soon for sure.

Recently visited this place for a child's birthday party and was pleasantly surprised to see the place was super busy. The kids all had a great time and we reserved a room for the after party. We brought in pizza and the kids were all pleased. Would highly recommend.

I work with a young man with non-verbal Autism and I have recently discovered that he loves bowling. The staff at Towne Bowl have been so accommodating to us and his specific needs. He can yell quite loudly from excitement sometimes but they don’t mind and always make us feel welcome. They always give us lane number 1 (his favourite) and allow us to pay at the end instead of up front (because I never know how many games he will want to play before losing interest). I always look forward to bringing him to Towne Bowl because the environment is so welcoming and we always end up having a lot of fun.

Staff was rather unwelcoming, berating us for not having a reservation on March break even though only 3 lanes were in use. Over the hour we were there no one else came so I’m not sure why she didn’t want us to play.

I went there during the Thursday ($2/game with $2 shoe rental) on a rainy day. There are two floors of bowling lanes with the promotion only effective on the bottom floor. I had fund plus the machine is pretty simple to control. Only criticisms are maybe update the screen display systems (just my opinion plus don't fix if it's broken is the saying) and maybe replaces or polish the balls since some of them have either crater-like holes on them and/or not perfectly spherical smooth. Only than those, it's a good bowling place. Best to make a reservation if you are planning to go during the Thursday promotion since I was lucky to get a lane without one.

Parking lot is usually jammed pack full during the nights. Most likely because of people who live around the area are getting their guests to park there due to city street parking bylaw. (See that a lot as I do winter snow services)

Really nice little bowling alley. It's very retro and fun! The downstairs is a glow in the dark set up and is usually less crowded. This is great if you're like me and not very good at bowling but don't want it to be too obvious! Or also if you just like glow in the dark or a less busy atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all the guests. Great fun!!

A fun place to go with family or friends. Be warned it is a full sized bowling alley with mini pins and mini ball. We were a bit let down in the beginning but it was super fun to play. The staff is super helpful and very kind.

I just had my team out here playing bowling with their families and it was excellent as we had lots of fun time and the place to ourselves and the staff was super helpful and arranging some food for us and arranging of course all the shoes and the bowling. Worked out really great on a Friday night from 5 till 6:15

A classic, authentic 5 pin bowling alley which, to its credit has maintained to an excellent quality all the original interiors from the 1950s. Best of all, no piped in music, just the great sounds of a bowling alley. Was full of all ages when we were there, kids to 20 somethings to seniors. Highly recommended.

We were there for my nieces birthday party and I would not recommend it for a little kids party. First, when we all started to show up no one greeted us to tell us where to go. Once we realized which room we had we noticed that it had a sign that said “Bar” on it which meant that everyone else not part of the party could come in as they pleased to purchase food in the same room as several birthday party kids. The Bowling part went fine, everyone got their shoes fine. After the bowling we headed into the party room where they set up styrofoam plates and had the party pizza waiting. Two pizza boxes which we assumed was all for our party but as it turned out each kid was allowed only one slice out of our party boxes and any extras given away would cost $2.50 a slice. This pizza was not made there, it was brought in by an outside pizza place for this particular party. So if you are ever there and get pizza, my guess is they will serve you someone’s left over pizza, that they touched. Let me make this clear... we personally touched the pizza in both boxes, maybe sneezed, maybe coughed by accident bc we thought it was for us, then severed our group of kids, but then did not get to eat all the pizza. So where is that pizza going? From what I saw, it did not go in the garbage. Most places would order two boxes for a party and then say if you want more after the designated food, then you will need to pay extra. Then when it was our time to leave at 2:00, we were told we had the room until 2:00, they started pushing us out at 1:50 bc they had another party coming at 2:00. Um, maybe don’t book two parties at the same time. If they wanted us out at 1:50 they should have said that or booked the next group for 2:10 or 2:15 to prepare for the next party. My Mom was sitting in a chair feeding a baby and she got kicked out before the party was even supposed to be over as if it was our fault that we took too long, which we didn’t because It wasn’t even 2:00.

Going back there after 20+ years it hasnt changed much at all. Still great people and alot of fun. You first walk in and there is that bowling alley smell which wasnt too pleasant but being there for a bit you never noticed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are great as well for bowling. Definitely needs an update to the lanes and electronics as well as more seating. All in all great experience

Great classic 5 pin bowling in Kitchener. Place hasn't changed since 1959 and it never should! Been here lots and last time we had our sons birthday here and the kids had a blast! Kids were between 5-6 and the smaller bowling balls were great for them. Pizza for the kids was included with the price and we had a room upstairs for cake and presents. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Very patient with the kids when getting the right size shoes. Would definitely use them again.

Better foods needed. Always order pizzas and overcharged customers. There are why customers brings outside foods. Has looking juices and simple brand beer. Environment is pretty quiet but once game starts, everyone has a good Time. Have glow in dark games downstairs. Really need to restrict groups to lanes on visual display whereas customers can pick time they can book a lane for 1 to 5 players. You will boost more sales by encouraging customers to allocate into fewer teams if there are aplenty of customers awaiting to play. You re allowed to bring the ball and sneakers. Just remember to talk to cashier first before starting. Basic costs is very reasonable! Will come back.

Had a birthday party for my son here, will not be back for a party It was awful. The staff were rude and not friendly at all. It felt rushed and chaotic. We bowled downstairs which was great for the kids because it was cosmec, but then we had to get all our stuff on and go upstairs to the "party room" with 10 children thats not easy, wish they would have mentioned that at time of booking. The pizza was good and the kids did have fun. But as for customer service, it was pitiful. Would not recommend for a kids birthday

Fun 5 pin bowling. Reasonable priced bowling. There is a bar which was cash only when we were there, which was too bad because we would have gotten more drinks if they had a debt machine. Paying for bowling and shoe rental had a debt machine. There are two floors so even when it's busy there are lots of alleys.

I've taken my 5 year old daughter bowling here numerous times over the last year. I found it to be about average as far as staff friendliness, and atmosphere go. Be warned that the summer hours DO NOT match the hours posted on their website. I've tried to take my daughter here three times this summer and they were not open any of the times we went (11am, 3:30pm, 6:30 pm Monday, Wednesday and Sunday respectively). My daughter has dubbed this place the "Worst bowling alley ever". We will be looking for a new place to bowl.
