Convenient for the locals of the area. Families come here and play the arcade games. Summer activities outside with swimming pools. Child safe playground area on the right, beside the arcade. Clean bathrooms. Drink and food area on other side of playground area beside bathrooms. Lots of prizes to be won at the arcade.

It's a huge, large, noisy, busy play structure that you can let your kids burn off some energy at. Better suited for 5+ years old. Pretty reasonable pricing if you stay away from the arcade.

Fun place for kids. Lots of arcade games. Younger kids will love to play on the play structure. I noticed that they were cleaning regularly touched surfaces fairly often. Very helpful staff. Nice place to go on a cold day with kids for an outing.

A great place for kids to let off some energy. Depending on when you go it can be very loud and busy. There is a gate around the play structure that is supposed to help keep kids in but I have found that kids can escape very easily so you really need to keep track of them. There are places to buy snacks like ice cream and french fries but you can also bring your own food to eat at the tables surrounding the play structure.

The 3 story play area is lit. Kids run around like rampid animals, before you know it you have lost all sight of them for them only to return when they are hurt, or have lost their ability to move from energy depletion. Things to know, there is no supervision other than you the parent. There are some security features like a gate that is typically left open from others entering and exiting. There are loud noises from compressors in the ball cage if you have a kid with sensitive hearing. And its $11 per kid for the day.

My son loves this place. He goes here every week, immerses himself in 3 level playing structure for an hour or two. Annual pass is useful since we could go often for my pre-schooler. The arcades are a bonus, we don't spend time there in arcades though. But I guess it is fun for grown up kids and adults. I am planning to do rock climbing and rope walking one day.

Great place to bring your kids. We go almost every weekend. We are able to run through with them. As for the reviews above. Hahahahahahahah. Yes you kid is going to get pushed. Deal with it. Let them stick up for them selves so they don’t end up like you, complaining about the smallest inconviences. “I want to speak to the manager” attitude looks real bad. Don’t worry about what other parents are doing. Worry about yourself and your own children. Some parents aren’t worried about their kids because they don’t need to watch their 8 year olds every move. I feel bad for the staff having to deal with the High maintenance moms that bubble their kids. Place is awesome, never have I dealt with anything being “unsafe” kids will be kids they will learn.

My kids are 6 and 5 and the equipment here is perfect for that. Reasonably priced for them to play in the play world. Disgusting washrooms. Albeit it was the end of the day but still... And the pizza Pizza here was cold, old and over priced. Bring your own food and drinks.

Fun for kids to run around and play at the playground. Not as clean as the Cambridge Bingemans. I find my kid ALWAYS gets sick when we go here. The one in Cambridge is a lot cleaner. I've seen the staff at the Cambridge one clean and dust the playground at least twice at a day. Sometimes more when it's not as busy.

My kids ran around the place having a great time. Not often did they have to stand waiting for a certain arcade. Lots to do and interest if a wide age range. Will be coming back. Enjoyed buying the unlimited card. Kids were running around enjoying all it has to offer.

Great place for kids! (Of all ages) there is an indoor climbing center with slides etc but my daughter found it too over whelming because there were alot of kids in it but she loved the arcade area which included games that were perfect for her age, she's five. She loved how you collect points and when you leave you cash out your points for a toy prize. We went for a birthday party and will definitely be going back again!

My daughter loves (loved) playing at Funworx and we have spent a lot of money here over the past 3 years. I must say that I am very unhappy about the state that this place is in; compared to when we first went. This place is in shambles and I feel is very unsafe to kids of all ages. There are exposed metal bars, rips, tears and worn out equipment. Zip ties are hardly a solution to many of the issues this indoor playground is having. It is also getting very dirty.... who knows what that was on the ball in the ball pit. My daughter gets sick every time we go here now which is why we don't go very often. A lot of the games do not work either. I was super appalled when the gate to the fenced in toddler zone had a bicycle lock on it, preventing you to get out to use the washrooms that are "right there". Needless to say, my daughter (at 2.5 years old and potty training at the time) was rather upset about peeing her pants when we couldn't get out. We have been turned away in the summer time because Funworx was "too busy" (which is great and I appreciate the fair warning since I don't want my 3 year old getting trampled) but don't tell me that they don't have the money to put into cleaning and repairing the place and ensuring that the games work. Obviously, it's a huge success if it's getting worn out.... clean it up and fix it properly so our kids can continue to have a clean, safe indoor facility!!! I really hope to see an improvement very soon before i completely write this place off.

We always have a great time whenever we bring the kids. There is a wide variety of arcade games which also have an even bigger prize variety. The staff is very friendly for the most part although I find the teenagers mainly just stand around and arnt aware of the job they're required to do. Often at times it does get over crowded and would be nice if their were staff in toddler area as there are constantly teenagers jumping up and over the gates and toppling over young ones. Over all a great place to go ! We've never had any issues and if we did none that could be resolved.

It can be a bit expensive if you're not buying tickets for it when it's a deal. The kids have lots of fun running around with in the play structure, although there can be loud noises in the area where they have ball cannons. I'm also not sure how often they clean the third level of the play structure. It's a great place for kids to burn off a lot of energy.

This place has an elaborate three story play structure that my 5 year old has an incredible time playing on -- at least 6 great slides, a ball pit, lots of climbing. It gets insanely busy here on weekends. The noise from the arcade is horrendous. The food is terrible. There is no supervision other than what the parents are providing; and the bathrooms are kinda dirty. Still, we go pretty often as my kid likes it so much.

The kids enjoy it and the indoor play structure it is good value for the price, especially when the weather outside is not appropriate for kids to play in. There is controlled access to the play area with key cards so that your kids don't wander off into the arcade but our experience was that as soon as the gate opened, multiple kids would run out, generally not connected to the adult or child with a key card that just opened the gate. The person who just opened the gate is stuck trying to coral someone elses a kids or just letting them go. We didn't realise how easy it was for kids to run off at first and the key gate lulled us into a false sense of security such that we sat down and believed that our kids were in the play area and couldn't get out without us so we could sit without monitoring the exit. Five minutes after our kids disappeared into the play structure and I haddn't heard from them, I went looking for them in the play structure. My oldest was nowhere to be found in the area I thought he was in and we eventually found him transfixed by a screen in the arcade. We would love to go back more, but I found trying to track them through the play area exhausting after that. At least when they are at a public park we can see them while they are playing and are ready to chase after them if they try to run away.

This is probably one of my son's favourite places. The price to get in isn't bad and we spend hours there. When it's super busy it's not as great for toddlers, however it's still manageable. My son would go here almost everyday if he had his way. It's also cool that they have themed birthday parties for kids.

Great place to bring your kids and have them play safely when you need to just sit for a while. The play structure is very busy, but there always seems to be enough room for my two girls and I. Next to the enclosed play structure area there are a large variety of arcade games, for kids of most ages, from 5+, I would say. The games aren't cheap, but my two (5 and 7) always manage to get enough prize tickets to at least get one of the smallest prize toys (which admittedly, they don't want, and I don't blame them for that). I've only just been able to convince them that saving their tickets up is a good idea! The place is really loud, though. Even compared to other public play gyms for kids. We also had my 7-year-old's birthday here this year, and it was a great success. It was only my wife and I for adults, with 9 kids to look after, and it was surprisingly easy to do with how they have everything set up and how good the employees were at helping us out. They have several different birthday party rooms you can choose from, with different colour patterns or whatever, but my kid went for the most extreme room of them all, which is painted black, with fluorescent blacklight rainbows on the walls.

My kids absolutely LOVE this place! The price is competitively lower than other similar places, and the playground is HUGE! A snack bar/coffee bar would do wonders for the parents hanging around while their kids play though... just a suggestion (I had to run out to Tim Horton's!)

The indoor playground is a hit for kids of all ages. It's big enough that an average sized adult can keep up with their child. It's not as big as other places, but kids don't care about that. This place is pretty accessibility friendly, and there's ample free parking.

The electronic part has both slot machines and arcade machines. Therefore not necessarily suitable for me, especially if you want to keep children away from electronics. We have been coming here since my boys were toddlers. They can play, run, and climb for hours. It is great for a PA day when the sitter has them all day, or even on a rainy day in the summer or on a weekend. It's fairly priced for the size and amount of activities they offer. Worth the drive to Kitchener for this place.

It's supposed to be family friendly, yet when I want to spend $80 to load my children's play cards to play in the arcade, they won't split it up amongst the cards so each child can have one. This causes me to lose tremendous value between each card because you get more points the more you spend. I am STILL SPENDING THE SAME AMOUNT whether it's on 4 cards or one SO I SHOULD GET THE SAME VALUE IN POINTS! I explained that bringing in more children should be rewarded, not penalized as THIS IS their business. They told me if I bought the largest package they could split it up between multiple cards. THIS CONFIRMS IT CAN BE DONE YET THEY REFUSE. They are penalizing LARGE families which is THEIR BUSINESS!!! I am already paying for a week at their campground in their pull through sites. We will simply visit their competitor fun parks. Makes no sense to me as far as a business decision. I was so frustrated at this stupid rule, that I gave them a chance to fix this extremely reasonable request before I decided to have it reflect on their public listing. But it's so discrediting and penalizing to families with multiple children that it needs to be addressed. Hopefully this helps them reflect in how they proceed to do business in the future.

We booked one hour bowling but the lanes (1, 2, 3) was faulty, without balls and every 10 minutes shuts down and no one knows how to fix until we finally went to the main entrance desk to fix. They gave us 10 min extra but it didn't work. We've only get 20-30 min of our 1 hour. In addition we were given 4 arcade card of 12 we bought empty! Again I had to go to front disk to fix. The ropes was one time only although advertised as unlimited in the package. Too frustrating experience.

We have 6 children and a few times a year we treat them to an evening at Funworx. For years we have always gone the Sunday evening of March break because everyone tends to leave early. We checked the website, which indicating it was open until 9pm. Before leaving I attempted to call and verify, however nobody would pick up the phone. We arrived at 5:30pm and I double checked with them to ensure they were open until 9pm, to which they said no, only to 7pm. I showed them their hours online and they insisted they were going to close. I asked them if they would provide us a discount given they were closing in 90 minutes and their site was wrong, and they wouldn't answer the phone and they refused. We ended up going to Fun Villa which was actually far nicer and a lot cleaner anyhow so it all worked out, we will never return to Funworx.

Great water park and indoor playground. Way too expensive though. My partner, myself and our 2 small children (too small for water slides) went for the "twilight special" after 4 pm and it cost us $80! It's good if you get season pass or do once or twice for a special treat for kiddos. I do think it's reasonable price when you use whole park but with small children it's a rip off.

I have come to funworx and the waterpark for a few years now and have had a couple of seasons pass to the waterpark. I have found that their staff has been getting worse and worse... especially at the front desk. I always find on weekends that the girl I am speaking too is almost screaming at me. The other one gives a lot of attitude. During the week when I go it is fine because it is usually a manager and they are nice. The only staff member that I don't find a brat is a young women with very blonde hair who wears a different shirt than the others... i think a grey polo? she sometimes is at the front desk but not often, saw her a lot more in the summer there. she always remembers me and helps me with the elevator when the front desk staff are talking amongst themselves... overall, i still think funworx and the waterpark is a good place for kids but hope they hire some nicer staff for the summer when they get more busier.

Went for the escape experience. They put a lot of time into the aesthetics of their operations, and the solutions to the puzzles were very unique. Very good even for the veterans of the genre. The arcade was also a great venture and they offer a great package that allows for unlimited access to all arcade machines and games for the kids; though no tickets for prizes of course at the unlimited level of entry. There was a bar as well there (a Boston Pizza) and a full pin bowling ring; it;s a good place to go. But you will be spending an adequate amount after leaving this place for each activity that you participate in but it is not unreasonable.

My kids are 11 and 12 and we new they would be at the upper age limit for the facility however it was one of the worst and priciest experiences I've ever had with them. The staff were young, bored teenagers who paid no attention to detail or the safety of the kids on the rock wall or ropes course; they just stood there chatting to each other. The cost of the games was exorbitant and absolutely ridiculous for what you got in return. The games were poorly marked as to what the 'prize' would be...if any... The food was disgusting and the washrooms filthy. Save your money! Go to a park or playground or make your own fun at home! It was awful and disappointing.

I paid for my daughter to have access to Funworxs and the front cashier gave me attitude she seems like she was high or just didn’t want to be there. I take my 2 year old to play not even 30 seconds in a bigger kid MUCH OLDER pushed my daughter and started laughing and ran away. My kid got hurt they have no one here to watch the kids at all to enforce a friendly environment/play area. I’m absolutely disappointed with my experience and I advice all parents with young children to avoid this place. They made it very unpleasant for me and my husband and I was out in a situation where I had to look for that other child’s mother because my daughter was not the only child this kid pushed. Another parent said that kid is “Not” normal that pushed my daughter. If that kids parent doesn’t watch her and we are paying to have access to this area they need to have someone in here at all times. Bad experience for me and this is my first and last time here. Top it off it’s extremely dirty in this area napkins and juice boxes everywhere.

This place is like throwing your child into a UFC match... there are no staff around to watch the kids. I have had to yell at other ppl children as mine are getting hit, pushed down slides and onto ground. One boy told my dtr “you’re sexy” .... the parents hergo right to their phones, paying no attention to their children. The equipment is disgustingly dirty and falling apart. I will never go back here and will advise anyone else not to go here. When you approach staff they are rude and seem to not want to be bothered. They need to pay staff to watch the kids to ensure their safety ... as for now this place is atrocious.. stay away.

I brought the kids to funworx on this strike day, kids had a blast. Great play structure! Unfortunately, I had to deal with a snotty little attendant with an attitude who doesn't know how to smile. I guess the days of customer service have gone out the window.

Can I give 0 stars? Filthy as per usual, crowded, and unsafe. Filthy: Does anyone ever clean the equipment/balls? The structures/moveable pieces like the balls are downright dirty, and I honestly question how often it actually gets cleaned/sanitized. Take a wipe and see for yourself. Germ/grime/dirt central. I have contacted Funworx in the past and asked about their cleaning routine, to which I did get a response, but I just can't believe it is cleaned as often as they say it is. Crowded: There are simply too many people allowed into the area where the structure is. Too many children, Too many lazy parents/caregivers sitting on their phones not watching their children. Ridiculous. Perhaps a 'no phone zone' sign would help. Unsafe: This key card system is laughable. The gate is not monitored and young children wander out without supervision often. I noticed someone had enough sense to complain and a staff member came down and stood beside the gate but had so much attitude about opening the gate for people it was ridiculous. There needs to be a change in order to keep children safe. Upon taking my child to the washroom, we walked by one of the party rooms that appeared to have just had some sort of small fire. There was panic, smoke coming out of the room, and a foul smell that lingered for some time. Did the smoke detectors go off? Nope. The Fire Department will be notified as perhaps they need to investigate the working order of the system there. I felt awful for the staff who were obviously working very hard to remedy whatever situation had just happened. She appeared shaken and concerned and looked to be taking care of whatever it was. However, I am VERY concerned that an alarm did not go off. All in all, as long as we all keep leaving good reviews, not saying anything about what is flawed about this place, and keep dishing out our money over and over, this place will never change. It's unfortunate. Bingaman's should be ashamed. Sit down and have a good long meeting and address the many safety/cleanliness issues that arise in your online reviews.

We went last year, and it was so much better. They've taken away the rock climbing wall, AND the ball pit. Its $10.95 for the play structure only. $12.95 for kids including the rock wall and a $5 game card. Great for little Kitts, but mine are between 7yrs & 12yrs and we're all ready to leave.

Half of the games were broken. I'm actually not exaggerating, I literally pointed it out to the staff that could care less (though they did refund my game card for some, my kids were bored of the few that worked, and teased by the ones that didnt), so we left. Wont be back. What a disappointment, and letdown for the kids, from a once iconic landmark in Kitchener.
