REVIEWS OF Purcell Golf IN Kimberley

Martin Santo

Course is in great shape. No early morning food service, so make sure you are prepared to go straight to tee box if you have early tee time.

Very nice

Jim Baker

This old course hosted the 2018 +55 Games perfectly. The weather wasn't too cooperative but the course was in great shape. Thanks to all of the organizers!♥️

Jason Toner

My favourite place. One of the older courses in Western Canada. Est 1937.

Terry Smith

Great course. Amazing pro shop.

Brian Barratt

I won't be golfing her anymore. Price goes up, service goes down.

Jon Dyck

Great course which is well layed out. Very challenging. Love that they have electric carts rather than gas. The course needs a Marshall at all times if it is going to compete with surrounding course's.

Traci Boudreau (Teets)

Nice course. A bit narrow in some fairways but all in all a good course.

Bill Arch

Great front 9. Brutal back 9, but fun anyway.

George Daly

Feels like home. Everyone relaxed and friendly, staff and golfers. Beautiful golf course. Towering pine trees throughout... so majestic. Club house with outdoor elevated deck and restaurant bar is so comfortable. Golf course in great shape and a decent challenge. Not expensive. Not a real estate project. This golf club has character in spades!

Mark Melnichuk

Course in good condition. Narrow fairways but rough easy to find balls.

Megan Cook

Beautiful course!

Michael Federkeil

Tale of two nines. Front is a pretty typical city course. Back nine is beautiful! Great value too.

Blair Murphy

Stephen Barclay

We had a great round of 18 today. The golf course was very accommodating to our family (2 adults, and 2 children over 10). The course was in great shape which is very impressive with all the dry weather. The greens ran well and the pin placements were challenging. The golf carts were really nice - quiet and electric. All the staff were kind, professional and welcoming. If you are in the East Kootenay, we totally recommend a round of 18 at the Purcell Golf Course (formerly, Kimberley Golf Course).

Gary De'Ath

Beautiful course

Brigitte Lessard-Deyell (The Story Warrior)

What a wonderful golf course! We loved all the beautiful trees! Especially on the 9th hole where 3 out of 4 of us hit the ONE tree in the middle ???? So much fun!

Mike duToit

Reasonably priced food. Sit on the deck and overlook the great vistas and front 9. Sometimes they have live music on the deck.

Don Stang

Did not golf but good food at the reunion event I attended

Brenda Ottenbreit

Staff are very friendly. Well kept! Beautiful course!

Randy Clarke

Amazing experience. Fantastic track!! Try to golf with a local. Lots of tricky holes. Everything well maintained, lush and groomed.

I.M. Gadget

Great course. Greens were very fast and challenging.

Michele Lewis

Slow, slow pace of play. Waiting at every single hole. Scorecard and hole signs don't always match and a few blind holes with no way of knowing how close you are to those in front of you.

Amy Gillespie

Picturesque, Beautiful course. Not too difficult. Very friendly staff

Chantel Loree Delaney

Lovely course with lots of local wildlife to view. Their patio is a great spot to relax and have a drink with friends.

Daniel Racicot

James Doell

Beautiful course

Love the course. I liked the lay out and the condition was superb. The staff in the pro shop was both friendly and very helpful; we were there for the BC Senior Games and left some of our warmer layers at home. We purchased several items and very happy with the garments and the price phenomenal. Also, I must remember our friend Joanna, we met outside a grocery store in Kimberley and she had her two young girls with her about 9 and 6 yrs of age) and took the time to give directions to two lost strangers in town. She is, I believe the manager of the food services at the Kimberley Golf Club. What a friendly helpful person and indicative of all the staff at the Kimberley Golf Club. What a friendly town Kimberley is and we will be back to play Kimberley Golf Course.

Brett Bevans

Simon and staff, are helpful, knowledgeable, well stocked pro shop. A great place to play, eat and refresh yourself.

Neill Anderson

Excellent staff and course

Sandra Luke

I love the course except a few tee off places the smell was bad. But otherwise I had a good time golfing with my significant other.

Murray Lundle

Good service from staff

Barry Marsh

Tight course but very pretty

Roger Pelletier

Interesting golf course that forces you to keep your tee shots on the fairways. Error off the tee box and you are best to get boogie. The back 9 demands course management and excellent ball striking to reach the greens. Watch out on the greens. A lot of undulating greens that demand excellent reading and are very sensitive to speed of putt. Three puttting is common when your confidence level decreases. A very fun golf course that has it's rewards.

MARIANNE DUTHIE

Best old golf course in the area!! Food is awesome!!

Dave Alexander

Very nice

jocelyne young

Challenging, friendly

Ken Van Rentergem

Greens are in great shape. The front nine is the old style course. The back nine has the elevation changes. Staff were polite and food was above average.5.5 hours is just way too long of a day for a short course. Other courses seem to have better flow and we are done our round in 4:15.

Laura Burn

Great course!!

Bill Barger

Great shape for this time of year. Greens a bit shaggy but that's expected. Good twilight price.

Paul Cowl

Fantastic staff. Played here May 13. Course is in incredible shape for May. Greens are plush but a little slow but after a few more cuts, they will be awesome.

Wayne Schock

Excellent

Derrick Donison

Karen Hick

Awesome ppl and view food is great

Todd White

Hats off to the Course Crew; Great SHAPE

Garry Smith

Worst experience I have ever had. Pro shop staff VERY rude. Will never go back, will ensure other golfers hear about our experience. Doesn’t deserve a star rating!

CA Nuck

Very friendly staff, kind to the kids. Challenging course for beginning juniors.

Ron Cristensen

Great staff!! Challenging coarse!!

Ron Christensen

Best coarse in the Kootenay's!!!

voov mama

Love the live music. Go 4 Deer Run.

Michael Gessner

It such a nice course, right from the elevated first hole to coming down the home stretch it's beautiful, the views are beautiful, the food is quite well as well waitresses are very friendly polite and helpful, come on guys they deserve big tips lol, if I had anything negative to say about it it would be that it was very busy last time I was there but with that said it just shows it's a good place to go

Jason Gulliver

Great place

Danny Eigenseher

My 10 year old daughter and I did twilight here at 5 o'clock. It was 32 out and we were not told there was not drink cart out. By the time we got to the club house we were too thirsty. Just let us know and I would buy before we tee off. Then there were tree buds or something on 6 holes. You couldn't even put, I mean I get it were cheap it's twilight golf but it was still 60 dollars. That's another thing other places 10 is free. Here 20 dollars for my daughter. Then the sprinklers were on. Again I'm cheap but you couldn't access parts of the holes because of this. On the 18th hole as I'm about to hit a sprinkler turns on and soaks the club's cart and us. That really was upsetting. Course was in great shape thought. I had a tee off time for 8 on the Monday after and I cancelled and played and paid more for shadow mountain. My daughter was free and the experience was much better.

Daniel Okholm

Fun course to play, tricky greens ! Walk the front 9...Cart on back 9 recomened
