LaVérendrye was pretty cool, although it has a very casual feel. Like the kind of place you and your friends go to as teenagers, or a place where you take toddlers and their friends for somebody's birthday. They also serve food; pizza and pop which again is exactly the sort of fare you like when you're younger. If you're thinking of going there for a first date and you're in your mid-twenties, don't. Unless you really like bowling, and even then there are probably nicer bowling alleys in town. This is not to say it's bad, far from it. It just has a raucous vibe that may not gel with you unless you're part of the people causing the raucous.

Usually go a couple times a month. Went there last night after work to catch the end of the Jets game. It was league night. Atmosphere was electric as one could expect. Staff are ALWAYS exceptionally polite and, charmingly funny (except the red haired young man ewho is sarcastically hilarious) Went with a friend who proceeded to eat an entire pizza to himself so I can testify as an eye witness to how good the pizza is. Lol. Bathrooms are always clean (sadly can't say that about most of the other lanes I've been to). Beers always cold. What more could you ask for?

This is a really clean, well run facility. The staff are friendly and attentive. There are 14 lanes of 10 pin bowling. All lakes have fully automated scoring.

If you're looking for a uncrowded bowling alley, this place is for you. The alley, on most occasions, only have a few people there. The prices set for one round of bowling, renting bowling shoes, and renting the pool table are cheap and affordable. LaVérendrye Bowling Lanes also provides food and drinks. The food isn't the best quality, but it's set at a reasonable price for what you're receiving. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a good time with your friends and family, for an affordable price.

Awesome place to bowl. My friend and I made some friends at the pool table the staff offered to us for free while we waited for our lane. In my opinion the staff went above and beyond to provide exceptional service that is both memorable and fun

My friends and I have been coming here for years. The odd time we'd go somewhere else is when this place was closed or was full on bookings. Recently, I decided to purchase my own bowling ball and I'm very glad that I didn't just choose the nicest looking ball online and called it quits. I went to see Mike - the store pro - and he set me up completely. He watched me bowl to check on my style, made a recommendation and gave me a great deal. At no point did he try to oversell me and even explained why he doesn't believe in selling overpriced products. The rest of the regular staff are amazing as well. Ed, Gill and others are always there for a good chat and bowling support. There is definitely a community feel in this place and I'm looking forward to signing up for league play again soon.

We went on Jan 1, they had the competition going on that day and we need to wait for an hour to play, and the owner let us to use the pool service for free during the waiting time, what a nice guy!! And I like how they have the red pine at the front and always the challenge one, this is the only place I went for bowling every time in Winnipeg. Love it

It was a very different experience compared to the 5 pin bowling! 10 pin bowling is much more entertaining, and the balls are much bigger and easier to use! Would recommend to anyone!

This place is so clean and the staff are awsome. .the lanes are very well taken care of the washrooms are spotless the only thing I don't like about this place is the food selection..they have fresh pizza and microwave eats..would like to see maybe fries and onion rings but this place is really worth a look. You won't be disappointed and no I don't work here..use to go to another lane on Nairn but a couple of my friends invited me here and I won't go anywhere else now..say his to Mike at the pro shop. Really knows his stuff
