My nieces really enjoy the new arcade, and when we get to bowl we all have a blast doing it. Sadly, however, the last time we went we were told we'd have to wait over an hour for lanes, despite the fact that we counted no fewer than 8 dark lanes that were still dark when we left the arcade more than a half hour later. Staff seemed generally disinterested in serving us, and treated my brother-in-law and the kids like a nuisance when they wanted to claim prizes with their arcade tickets. The next time the family wants to go bowling, we'll have to take a second or two to think about whether or not it's worth bringing the kids all the way to the north end only to be told the only bowling alley in town can't help us do it.

It was super fun with a great group. Was only a dollar per person per game plus the shoe rental, which is great! I just think bowleramas always seem to have issues, and our games were either cut early and left incomplete, had a ghost player, and sometimes random changes of turns between team members. Still a fun time, though!

It looks good at the first glance, but there were some little things I didn't enjoy and could live without. First, we were asked to remove shoes near the entrance (inside) and walk around the counter on a wet and dirty floor in just our socks. We refused and asked if we can get our rental shoes first. Other than that the bowling bowls were coming out covered in streaks of oil which didn't help accuracy, and was simply gross. Wiping them with napkins wasn't helping much, next time I'm bringing rubbing alcohol. The pins were on strings, which made them fall in awkward ways and was skewing the outcome of the game. In the men's room 2 out of 2 stalls were closed, and 1 out of 2 urinals was out of order. The place has a potential, but needs work in customer experience area

We had 8 people get shoes and pay and they said that we were missing a payment. As we all had our shoes we clearly paid. They made us give them more money to start our game. This took up 20 minutes of our game time. The staff did not take responsibility for their actions and argued with us. We ended up pooling some money to pay for the “extra” person

Super rude staff. Went on a Saturday night, which yes was busy and we should have called ahead and reserved a lane. Was told there was a wait list and the wait would be over 2hours and was told "There's no way you guys are bowling tonight"... So despite that we put our name on the wait list and played in the arcade. Within the hour we were called and we managed to get two lanes. The real kicker was them shutting our lanes down 20mins early when we only had a few frames to finish. Really sucks that this is the only bowling alley in Guelph. If it weren't for such rude staff this would have been a really fun night.

Had a terrible experience. Lane wasn't working properly. No offer from management to switch lanes and no compensation for having to go from the far end of the building to the service desk to request that the lane be reset OVER 15 TIMES. Not even an apology for the inconvenience!!!! We were simply told by the manager they have a no refund policy. In addition to that, we were told that the owner is aware of the problem and looking into options. It would be nice if they let customers know that there may be delays due to faulty equipment rather than taking our money and providing terrible service.

This is the trashiest business I have EVER been to. The staff was extremely rude and obviously under the use of drugs while working. I would never come here again. They also ripped us off and treated myself and group with absolutely no respect. In fact, they were so disrespectful they made a friend of mine cry. I would never recommend this place to anyone, don’t waste your money, their business does not deserve it.

Haven't bowled here, bit I did go to the bar/grill attached to the bowling ally. It was horrible. No service. Stood at bar for 5 minutes and then sat down to wait. Had to walk back up to bar to receive any service after 15 minutes of nothing. When the food arrived, burger looks worse than something I pulled out of a lunch bag and barely any fries with the combo. No drink with said combo. Will never eat here again.

I went to Woodlawn bowl for New Years Eve and it was an amazing place. Arcade for pre bowling fun, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of good music that was kid friendly and it was just a great atmosphere. They even passed around hats, etc when the countdown was coming up. Even a classier lounge with bar and pool off to the side. Will definitely go back.

Rude staff, i had been compared to special need children because i brought my mask down to my nose when not in the middle of bowling and sitting at our seats. Manager came up and swore at us and we went concerned at this point. I stated hey if you need to see my anathema inhaler i dont mind getting it. Then compared me to special needs children saying if they could do it i could. He offer to sell me a face shield and i said okay so we can keep bowling. I had informed him hey you cant compare me to children and he got flustered and told me to get out we paid for two hours and left after 1. I would not recommend this to anyone that has concerns about health issues. Youll get berated and treated like trash. Please e if your going to comment on this post dont give the generic we were in orange stage. I get that. You know what you not supposed to do trying and fight and argue someone over not wearing a mask. Acknowledge that they have health issues and treat them like adults. Super unprofessional

A great place to bowl with the family! Although on discounted days there is a long queue to find a bowling lane. In general the staff are fast and act quickly to ensure the best experience for the customer. I tried the food as well and it was not to my liking as it was quite bland. There is also a new arcade for kids and family to enjoy, although I personally found the prices to be high to play games. In general, if a person is looking to bowl, the Woodlawn Bowl is an ideal place to go with family and test out your respective bowling skills!

Very large, even so, there's been a waiting list each time I've gone. Despite waiting they have a pub area, pool table, comfy seating, and now a new really fun arcade section while you're waiting. Cosmic bowling is really fun.

For fun family bowling and arcades, Im sure its fine. As for a league/competitive bowler - steer clear. Equipment is out of date and breaks down regularly, the owner likes to argue that pins are on spot when you could clearly walk between the gap often created. Reset buttons are missing or INOP on most lanes. Not a place for a person who wants to actually bowl, avoid at all costs, This will be my last season bowling here. Kitchener Brunswick, Planet Bowl or Classic Bowl are all much better options and worth the drive.

I took my son and his friends here for March break. We ordered the platter with the chicken tenders, fries, onion rings etc. We were halfway through when I noticed my son was struggling to take a bite of his chicken tender. When I looked closer, it was almost completely raw inside! It was pink and slimy! I immediately took it back to the snack bar and all she offered to do was replace the one tender. I tried speaking to other staff and they even mentioned it to the owner but no one spoke to me, apologiezed, or offered to comp the meal. The kids then came up to me at the snack bar asking for drinks and arcade tokens and they never even offered to comp those for us. The staff are unapologetic and clearly don’t care about food safety for children! We will NOT be returning here!!

Had a horrible experience here, we came in with a bunch of friends which took up 2 lanes and one of the lanes ended up malfunctioning. While our other friends had already started their game, we had to wait almost half an hour to get the game started. We kept mentioning to the staff that our lane is not working and we kept getting told someone was fixing it. When a lane beside us opened up, we suggested that we should just move there instead. Half an hour later we finally get to start the game but it also ended at the same time as our friends did. The staff didn't even care to extend our game and we all paid for the exact same price (and it ain't cheap for a Satirday night). So much for a birthday celebration. Not coming back here ever.

Great place to bowl! They check you in with a few questions and a temperature check, and you have to wear your mask for the entirety of your stay. The lanes are spaced out (every two lanes vacant). Cosmic bowling was a blast. Lots of fun features inbetween shots (chat with lanes, take pics, change vibe, etc). Thanks for the fun night!! And thanks to all of the great staff who are working during a pandemic on a Saturday night. They are amazing.

We bowl on Saturdays at 9, not serious bowlers. Good price on beer, lots of lanes, lots of bowling balls to choose from, cosmic bowling at 9 is fun. All the lanes have a huge screen with music videos playing to old and new top 40 songs. One star off because the staff at the register aren't friendly but they get their work done.

We were told to go to a lane on a busy day, and by the time my son and I had our shoes on, someone else was using the lane! But the situation was fixed quickly. There weren't enough ramps for my son to get one, but he enjoyed picking up the balls and tossing them himself.

One of my family members just had a birthday party here, and I am disgusted. The service was TERRIBLE. The one woman walked in, plopped the tray on the table and left, ignoring my uncle saying thank you very much. Not to mention the food was over half an hour late. Before we were even finished, she welcomed the next party to come into the room. Now I understand if the bowling ally is busy, but don't arrange for so many people to enter and exit at the same time. leave at least 10 minutes before the next group comes in. This woman was nothing but rude the entire time to everyone there. And finally, as we were all leaving, I was standing over at the counter and saw one of the girls at the counter giving a disgusted look at my family as if they had done something wrong. The staff there was gossiping and complain about the customers, but from what I remember, if it weren't for us customers, you wouldn't be getting a pay check. My family gave no fuss, they were kind and quiet about their rudeness. But I think it should be said by someone.

Only half the alley was open and wasn't notified when I paid for the lane. We were beside "regulars" who were drinking and one of them went through our belongings. When we notified staff they told us the group were regulars and one of the staff members stood around and flirted with them. We asked for a refund or exchange for something else and was refused. We left and the group took over our lane and finished the game we paid for. Overall, terrible experience and similar ones have occurred before. I would not recommend this bowling alley and I am personally never going there again.

Took the kids bowling today, first time in a long time! Had a great time, it was kind of busy though. Great bowling alley. One thing, they only offer ten pin bowling. They do bumper bowling, and Cosmic bowling on Friday nights. Would definitely visit again!

My family had a get to get together here. We were disappointed that it cost extra to make a reservation. In order to get multiple lanes in a row we had to hope that they were available when the group showed up because we didn't want to pay extra to reserve. It n my opinion it shouldn't cost extra in order to make a reservation. Other than that we had lots of fun bowling and the staff were helpful and friendly.

The employees that are working here tonight are awful. This is to the two male employees that are bowling in our lane before we were even done playing. When my friend confronted them about it the one guy became defensive saying he thought we were leaving. Even if that was the case, it is in my opionion unprofessional and rude. And the girl at the bar who was just unpleseant. I was here with a group of ten people who all agree we will never come back. To the people reading this review, I highly recommend going to bingemans to bowl for much better service. Also, while we are there the lane shut down three times wasting at least ten to fifteen min of our time. We left before our time was even up because nobody was having fun.

They didnt want to give us glasses for our pitcher because they were closing in an hour and a half and didnt want to do the dishes again. They offered us plastic but we didnt want to make waste. They told us we werent allowed to drink from the pitcher. Finally 30 minutes before closing they slammed 4 glasses down on our table aggressively and didnt even look us in the eye when we said thanks. Was very strange.

I love the new update at Woodlawn Bowl but honestly had a terrible time with the constant technical difficulties we were having. Paid for an hour but spent 20-30 mins of it waiting for our alley to be fixed. Even when we were moved to a new lane, we had technical issues there too. I'll be sticking with Kingpin, thanks.

Between glitches resetting lanes between bowlers and the fact my daughter took longer to play because it was her first time, we were cut off not even a third of the way through our second game. Brought a rather large group of adults bowling. The alley was rather busy so we were unable to get two lanes beside one another which was slightly disappointed unless we choose to wait an hour and a half. We rented one lane, and just switched players every game. The lanes where well kept, and had no issues with it. The staff even quickly came to clean out the bowling balls that where stuck in the gutter without us having to ask. We ordered food and drinks as well - the food did take a while to be made but it all was all fresh and food upon arrival! The fried pickles are delicious. The line at the bar at times was very long, and even when it was not long, for some reason it took an extremely long time to grab a drink; bar service was a bit slow overall. We choose to go to the arcade as well. There aren’t too many games to choose from, but most of the ones we did play where fun! There’s no signs explaining which games do, and which games do NOT, give out tickets. So it was disappointing to play some of the games that costed more credits and get NO tickets for them; no where is there any signs saying these games give no tickets. Though the idea of having it all electronic on the cards is nice, it’s hard to keep track if you received the tickets from the games you played or not. Otherwise it nice way to spend an afternoon with friends.

STAY AWAY!!!!!! Worse family Day Ever thanks to this place!! I have never experienced worse customer service in my life!!! Paid extra money to reserve for a busy weekend but clearly meant nothing to owner or manager. It was one issue after another from the time we arrived until we left, with an hour left on our time. Please note... we were not the only group that left because of the service!! One issue after the other with the lane. Talked to the owner and manager but both kept responding with...We are so busy!! I finally told them I don't care. I paid good money to be here and don't appreciate you telling me to wait while you ring in new customers to put on lanes. They switched us to another lane after about 7 complains only to experience the same issues. I finally went to the counter and asked to talk to the owner, clearly the manager was doing nothing for me. The owners only response was stop yelling at me! I was not yelling...it is a bowling alley and the music was loud. I asked him twice to refund my money but he refused. He did offer a free hour of bowling to come back. I laughed and told him I would NEVER be back, his response... stop yelling at me. He clearly had no answer for the fact that the place was packed and totally understaffed. We then had issues with our bar/food bill which again we asked to talk to the owner. When he came over he said he had never talked to me!! We ended up leaving only to be followed out to the parking lot by both the manager and the owner. The manager was in the face of our friend totally wanting him to start a physical fight. Asking him over and over to take the first punch. He then threaten to call the cops with our licence plate for drinking and driving!! I reminded him that it was his place of work that was servicing us!! We had 6 adults with us and order 2 pitches and a big platter of food. No one had to much to drink but we were all pissed and shocked that an owner and manager would behave in this manner. According to the owner there are posters posted everywhere that any issue you have will not get you your money back!! P.S- bathroom were disgusting...clearly not cleaned in a while!!

Honestly, probably the best bowling alley I've ever been to. Both times I've randomly been in to play, they've had staff walking the lanes looking for things to fix or improve. The lanes are oiled nicely, balls have grip and respond well. They've got a full bar with decent prices for food and drink as well as a concession stand. It also doubles as an arcade, so they've got the entire package figured out.

My wife and myself used to love coming here, with a few different couples and friends of ours back in the winter 2017/2018... The service was sometimes not the most polite and the lanes did break down a lot... but it was still a great atmosphere... good mix of music, and I always felt that I was attended to and my needs were met, we felt even though there were issues... the management handled everything very well... The last 2 times we have been..... pure nightmare, incredibly rude service, an elderly lady at the front desk was beyond disrespectful and treated us like we were lucky to be in their building spending money... the bar service and food service has dramatically gone down hill.. this place needs a proper kitchen manager, bar manager and over all general manager. My wife mentioned to me that when we used to go there, there was a young gentleman with glasses that was always very kind and helped us out, and she also mentioned there was a general manager or manager of some sort who was in his late 30's early 40's and these 2 never sat still, they were in the bar the kitchen the front desk helping fix the machines on the lanes walking to floors , we do not recall their names but anytime we were there, the older manager gentleman always made sure things were being handled and was on top of his staff... Now the management is either unqualified in experienced or just don't give a s*%$…... We are still willing to come back and give the place a chance, but it seems to me it would be in the owners best interest to not be so hands on and hire or re hire amazing staff that made us happy to come back to the bowling alley regardless of problems that occurred... My party and I came to bowl! We enjoyed bowling and everything, seeing old musoc videos was a nice touch but the only down side of the night was the food. We got a platter of wings, onion rings, fries, chips, deep fried pickles, two chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks and it was all burnt exept for the mozzarella sticks. Bowling with your family should be a fun experience but dealing with rude people can easily ruin it. The manager is one of the most ill-mannered people I have ever dealt with. When we requested a ramp to help our kids bowl he told us to share with the lane beside us. Of course the people refused since the games are timed and they would waste time waiti g for us to finish. Instead of sitting around waiting for someone to share we asked if we could get a refund and come back when it was less busy. Flat out he said no to a refund and that he was unwilling to help in anyway. He mentioned that the no refund policy is post, and that is true, but gave no reason as to why we were not informed about how busy things were until after we paid. Funny thing is when we mentioned about the people who would not share, he called them rude and inconsiderate!?!? At any rate I would strongly recommend not taking your family to this establishment. In this day in age when customer service is so important, this guy's few is people are nothing more than walking dollar bills.

Bowling alley is run down - lanes often have errors and staff are VERY slow at fixing the problem, if they can at all. Sure, they have a new arcade area - but prices are high and the money spent to do that should have been used to maintain the actual bowling alley. Food is horrible - walk across the parking lot to McDonald's. Better service, better food and better prices (and that's not saying much is it)

The manager was extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. He threatened to call the police on 20 year olds and kick us out while we were barley 2 minutes into the game. No one got to play once and we were kicked out with no refund. It was only 2 girls out of 6 people not wearing the mask one of which was playing (you do not have to wear the mask while playing) and one of which was standing in back. Both mentioned they will happily wear the mask and were ready to apologize until he came which a horrible manager attitude saying to get out and no refund. In the meantime a drunk girl came towards us and called us slu*s while he was standing on the side and smiling.

In addition to having many, MANY problems with our lane (balls not returning, scores resetting, machine completely shutting down, etc.) the customer service at this place is terrible. My guess is it comes from the top, the owner is an extremely proud guy who seems to think the fact that he owns a bowling alley gives him the right to treat others like garbage. Booked my grandsons birthday party here. Great service getting the shoes. Two Party rooms were in use so had to store my party items in the third one. Thank goodness all 3 weren't in use or we would have had to bowl with it all on the table with the kids. Had to ask twice to have the bowling begin. No outside food or drinks permitted. Kids were hungry so we went to get something for a snack while they bowled.....all they have is pub food, popcorn and drinks. Asked for one if the pizza's early because some of the children we upset and they were hungry at 1:25. Worker comes over at 1:45 saying the pizza's were still cooking and since there is only 15 minutes left we will need to wait! Now pizza cooks for that length of time, they just weren't interested in accommodating the needs of the kids. They shut the bowling lane off prompt at 2pm. 2:12 pm and pizza still isn't here. Poor service. Obviously not enough employees to deal with the public coming in and the birthday parties. Certainly made the day more chaotic I definitely would would not pay for a party here again. May just drive for some bowling and go home to finish the party.

Attended for grand daughters 4th birthday, took 25 minutes to log in to game system to add players and had to move lanes 3 seperate times because of mechanical breakdowns or work being done on lane after we started playing. Final lane we were on kept freezing up and would only set 9 pins so even when a strike thrown, only showed 9 pins down. Video conference from lane to control constantly went unanswered and several minutes wasted trying to get staff to deal with issues. Very disappointing two hours at venue and advised that was very frustrating and staff advised they were frustrated as well. No apology or compensation for very aggravating experience. But hey, they got their money!!

Bowled here late Sunday evening.. there were problems with the scoring system as soon as we started.our game .. the girl we tried to speak with at the counter was ignoring us while she played with her cellphone before switching to rolling her eyes and pulling faces while my girlfriend tried to explain the problem .. incredibly rude service, I can't believe the way these people behave.. avoid this dump unless you enjoy being treated like garbage !!

We booked a lane on new years eve. At 1am they shut down our lane not allowing us to complete the game. We chose your establishment for our new years eve celebration, you could of allowed us and all your guests to finish thier games. My family gave woodlawn bowl a second chance on Jan 4 2020. I called in to book a lane and you had a fee attached so I opted out .. when I arrived I had to wait until you had 2 birthday partys all checked in. Once we got to our lane I had the wrong shoe size (my fault) I went back and waited in another party line. I received the right shoes and asked if our bowling time could be adjusted since we lost 15 minutes and had not even started to bowl and my answer was no. Simple and basic customer service is not a difficult task in business. In this case woodlawn bowl struggles with it and we will not return for that reason.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER and the OWNER is a huge JERK! We took our kids out for a fun night of bowling to start March Break. We knew there would be a wait as it was cosmic bowling night and willingly spent A LOT of extra money for them to pass time in the arcade area in order to have a fun family night out. After about a 1.25 hour wait, we finally got our lane to bowl. During the one hour that we spent trying to bowl (of the two hours we paid for), we must have spent 25 min of that time waiting for them to keep fixing breakdowns that kept occurring. After spending all of that time and money, and continuously having to go up to the counter to have our lane repaired, it got pretty frustrating and they eventually put us in another lane. We moved over to the other lane and couldn't use that lane because of the crowd and the tables being all occupied and we had nowhere to put our stuff or sit. We went back up the counter to tell them we just wanted a refund for our last hour. We were met with a very rude response from the attendant, basically telling us that we were lying about our lane going down so many times and then telling us that they don't give refunds. I then asked for the manager - turns out it was the owner that came over and in a very rude manner himself (not hard to see where the staff get their attitudes from) and in his own way, telling us that we were lying and then using the excuse that "you need to understand that our machines are 30 years old" - as if that's our problem. There was no apology or trying to smooth it over or even a question as to what could be done to resolve the situation. I could go on and on as this story has a lot more to it, but to end it, we eventually made the guy give us a refund....we only got $30 back from the well over $100 that we spent there that night, and he did that just to get rid of us as we were not letting this go. We have been going there for over 10 years (birthday parties, social times, family times etc.). The owner and staff didn't care about our frustration or our patronage and trust me when I say we will NEVER go back!

The atmosphere was excellent. We came for a birthday party and had a blast. The place was nice and big with lots to do. Bowling scoring gear was really modern and cool but wow was it all very glitchy. Scores were not accurately kept. One of our lanes never came online the whole night. One lane had bumpers up on one side only. What little food we had was mediocre at best. At least the beer was good.

I spent ton of $ there with kids since 2019 I wish they would provide refunds for all money spent at such place with zero customer service!! This place claimed during my ON visit my wax sheet is not real and cannot be accepted. So I went to Service ON and they said it is fine, I guess guy who works there thinks he is his own Service ON department I visited 4 Guelph Restaurants and they said it is fine. Trying to explain that person there how do you get passport ON forced through while we do not have those in effect yet was just waste of time. We went on a Thursday afternoon and were told we could not get a lane due to the league bowling going on and that was understandable. We then called and asked about making a reservation for after that was done at 9. They assured us that we wouldn’t need one and if we came between 9:02-9:10 we would get a lane and they even took our name. When we got there we waited in line for ten minutes and when we finally got to the front of the line and explain all of this, they said we were not on the list and we couldn’t get a lane until 10:30 now. This was really disappointing as they we not very friendly or accomidating to us. This is also not to mention we live an hour away and choose to come of Guelph to bowl as a change. This was an overall disappointing experience and we will not be returning.

Not happy! One: Games malfunction often at Woodlawn Bowl. I have had this happen a couple of times. Two: Debit machines for buying food don’t (at least didn’t while I was there) work leaving anyone who wants junk food on a Saturday, starving. Plus the server was rude. Three: paid over forty dollars for a single hour of bowling this Saturday night. That’s expensive for what you get here. Overall I had a bad night with my girlfriend at Woodlawn. We were better off leaving our hour game early and going home to make some junk food and watch a movie. Hope others have a better experience.

Called in and was told that I couldn't reserve a lane. And to just come. So I went and got told I couldn't have 2 lanes only 1 and had to wait 45 mins. OK. Was told "wait in the bar and I'll come get you when the lane opens up" .... Ordered food and then got it wrong not once not twice but 3 times... 2 hours later we went home without bowling. He forgot about us!! Very disappointed!

Bob (The Owner) refused to refund our money from a malufuntioning arcade game. This was after spending over two hundred dollars on bowling, food and drinks. The Owner of this bowling alley is cheap and has extremely poor customer service skills. If anything goes wrong during your visit don't expect to be composited for anything. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst emeny.

I really love the arcade here! My daughter and i saw the lights from outside and decided to check it out, we go regularly now! Quite a few games available and an air hockey table too. They have handy cards that can be loaded. Easier to carry around then coins and the tickets upload directly onto the card automatically. I have found the one game hasn't worked properly for us. You try to get a stuffy and if you don't get one you can keep trying to get a ball in the next case - suppose to try until you get one but it never goes.

I have been going to Woodlawn Bowl for most of my life and I have never had any issue with anybody or anything EVER before. That was until my latest visit this past weekend. This would typically be a 5 star review but one person changed that here. Some others who have left reviews here have commented on the owner. Well you can add one more person to that list. I was there with my Wife and my 61 year old Father, who has to walk with a cane due to pretty bad balance issues. He was still able to bowl. He was doing best, balance wise, with the lightest 6 Lb. ball. He was wobbly with the others. About an hour in, a young attendant came over saying his boss asked him to come take the 6 Lb ball away because it was for kids only and they don't want adults using them. I explained my Dad's issue to him. He said no problem and went to tell his boss. Less than 10 minutes later her comes back saying his owner still wanted the ball taken. My wife stepped up to defend my Dad. He relented again. I put no blame on him whatsoever in this. He was just the messenger. After about 5 more mins. the owner comes over saying he's the owner and his word goes. Yes, I was dismissive towards him because this was ludicrous at this point. I get up to take my turn and he begins following me towards the lane persuing an argument. I come back and he is into it with my Wife. Finally I just said "Fine, just take it than" just to end the issue which he had escalated beyond reason. He comes back at me asking what I just "called him". This is when I knew he was actually looking for a problem. All I said was take the ball and this is how he responds. I had not called him anything but I will now. He is a ignorant "human being" and lacks all the people skills needed to run a business. Than I find out when my Wife went back the next day to look for a glove she has lost, he saw her and began interrogating her on what she was doing. Being ignorant and belligerent to her for no reason. So, to Mr. Ego Power Trip, I love your business very much but you need to reevaluate how you yourself handles things and how you deal with people because quite frankly, your people skills SUCK. I will return but I will be ignoring his existence when I am there because I have no use for people like him in my life. Way to singlehandedly ruin a family day out. You must be very proud of yourself.

The people working here are all VERY rude and have no interest in helping anyone. Lanes break down all the time and staff is very reluctant to reimburse for lost time. They wanted to "empty out all lanes" before they would let anyone on, so we waited half an hour for 2 lanes to finish while all other lanes were open but they would not let anyone play. Very disorganized, rude, staff does not care and we are very unimpressed. Too bad there is no other bowling opportunities in Guelph. We will be driving all the way to Kitchener next time we want to bowl.

I truly wished I could give them negative 10 stars One of the worse place to have fun in Guelph!! Arcade thought my 10 year old niece was over 12 and guy was whining no she is over 12 and needs vaccine sheet What a waste of time to go there. Thankfully there are much better arcades in area. They were literally demanding ID from my niece, I mean seriously who carries ID at 10 I will gladly pass word to everyone I meet not to go there but instead take your $ to better arcades if you want to have fun

Planning a birthday party? DONT DO IT HERE. In an attempt at having a stress-free party, a friend booked their child's party here. The party chosen was a platinum package, about $300. We arrived before the party started. To understand this review, know our party began at 230 pm and whether or not children had even arrived, or had their shoes.. the clock started for 1 hour of bowling which included 1 lane. When we finally got to bowl, we had 35 minutes left. We had to take turns bowling as there were more kids than the lane held. We didnt even finish 6 rounds before our hour was up. At 330, we got our arcade cards for the children and were informed again the party room was still not ready. Meaning we had to carry all the childrens coats, the cake, the gifts, etc. All over with us! While keeping track of our 10 guests. It was an absolute zoo!! And to add the bowling alley was unbelievably overpacked, people waiting for lanes. While in the arcade zone, I observed the party rooms. 1 big room, they split into 2 with a curtain wall. Still not clean, both small rooms had been booked, and the employees were not in any rush to have it ready. We waited outside of the room, while they checked their phones, laughed and joked as if they were not at their place of employment. We exchanged words, and they then set up without finishing sweeping at 4pm. They gave us exactly 10 chairs for our 18 guests. They gave us 10 beer cups for the childrens birthday party, and 10 foam plates. At 4:00 we got our pizzas..its what youd expect a bowling alley to serve. We got our juice boxes at 4:10. We then rushed through opening gifts, in order to be out of the party room by 4:30 pm. This party was stressful, and overwhelming. It was something my friend planned a month ahead, and somehow on party day THE WOODLAWN BOWL, AND STAFF.. MADE IT HELL. So rude!!! For $300 (waste of money!) , the party room should be ready from party start to party finish. Never again will anyone I know have a party here. Avoid it if you can! UPDATE: Since writing this review, my friend was contacted by Woodlawn Bowl asking about my review, and pushing for them to have it removed. THEY OFFERED NO APOLOGY, OR SINCERITY IN HOW THEY HANDLED THEIR BUSINESS ON THIS DAY.

Woodlawn bowl has undergone a great renovation that makes the lanes feel more open and less like being in a basement. The arcade and gaming area is neat, but it is mostly entertaining for kids who have money. . . Or gullible parents. The bowling remains good, but they do not have any Canadian 5 pin bowling lanes which is a bit of a downer. The lanes can have bumpers and they have the ball launchers for kids and those whom are disabled.
